Pnovello, Merry Christmas to you and yours, too.

Will have all our sons and daughters-in-laws here for dinner tomorrow night. We do this every Christmas Eve. We have a big multifamily dinner with My husband's family on Christmas. There are about 25 family members that attend.

Next Christmas we will have our grandbaby here to add to the bunch!

Been reading some writings by some who are purposely trying to live a more simplified and, shall I say, "old-fashioned" life. I had to laugh a bit at some of the younger ones who listed suggested changes because our family has been doing all of those things all along!

It has only been in the last 10 years that we have had any sort of "means" to have a more comfortable daily life. But now we are both retired and need to tighten up our lifestyle some and go back to some things we had done in our lifestyle for decades.

When I think of this, I am thankful for the example my parents lived for us. They parented 10 of us and never were above the poverty line. But they lived simply, stayed out of debt, paid their bills, no frills, always had food on the table, but didn't have all the fancy things our neighbors were able to have. We faired well because of the sacrifices they made daily for us.

In our society today where "self-fulfillment" is so valued, I know that living for the good of others is much more valuable. We give of our lives and livelihood for our families willingly and lovingly. That is a worthy way to live Being good stewards over our own households is important.

I think that times are going to get hard this next year. Just have this feeling that we need to prepare for financial hardships. So, we are trying to live more frugally than before and hope to plant a bigger garden so we can help others when the Lord gives us the harvest. Same is true as far as spiritually. I pray daily for God to bring my prodigal sons back to Him in faith and love. I attempt to live a life that reflects the godly life Jesus lived for us

I have much to work on in my life before my SAVIOR comes. I am saved by the blood of the LAMB by grace through faith it is a gift I received from my CHRIST. Ephesians 2: 8, 9. I must remember to daily put on my armor of GOD Ephesians 6:10-18; and that I am a new creature. 2 Corinthians 5:17

I will daily pray for those in authority, for the lost, back slidden, and for the brethren in the field planting and watering the seed, waiting for the increase from the LORD.

I will give; as I have been blessed and praise HIS name.

Thank YOU FATHER for this wonderful time we have to serve, and glorify YOU. Bless the peace needed in Jerusalem; thank YOU for YOUR word never returning void when we go out declaring YOUR truth.

    Merry Christmas all!

    Numbers 6:

26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

    Isaiah 9:

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Our Sovereign GOD JESUS CHRIST is in charge of all things. We currently are in a mess politically, economically, socially, and especially spiritually.

However, we can be assured that our SAVIOR KING will make things right in HIS god time.

May we continue to praise and glorify HIM in all we do; as we continue to read HIS word and do it in obedience and complete trust in HIM.

Merry Christmas everyone and may the LORD GOD shine HIS face on all of HIS saints.

    Hi Karla,

I want to encourage you to continue to pray the devil hate it, but our Father loves it. In Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."

You got this Karla, do not give in.

Hi Filina, looking at this beautiful response of love, I would say you still have your brothers and sisters in Christ. I also pray for your healing physically, mentally, emotionally. Remember we are praying for and with you, Matthew 18:19-20 reminds us that a group praying for the same, God hears and does respond.

With just a few days left until Christmas, my prayer is that everyone here is uplifted in Christ, remembering how He, the divine Son of God, humbled Himself to become man, beginning his humanity as a zygote in Mary, developing in her womb until He was ready to be born of this godly virgin who submitted readily to what God had eternally planned to occur within her. She did not do one thing to make this happen. It was all of God Most High and the bringing to the World His Son as Savior to mankind. He humbled Himself to become one of us, though we are created in the image of God, we are more unlike Him than like Him. But God's everlasting covenant was fulfilled in the Son becoming altogether like us, except without sin. How amazing is that! Nothing is impossible for God, even having the eternal Son become human as we are to live and die for our salvation.

Celebrating His miraculous and God ordained birth, that in the fullness of time, was accomplished by the power of the Most High, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The greatest miracle of all time next to the Resurrection. It is good to celebrate this event that changed the world for the better. We all benefit from this, the birth of our Savior, who grew up like we all did, but resisted sin in the flesh like we cannot. He lived from the time of His conception in obedience to His Father in order to fulfill the law for us as a human AND as God. Only God in the flesh is able to fulfill all of what God requires for righteousness. Jesus did that for us as well as showing us that we, as mere humans with only one nature cannot live as God desired. But, Hallelujah, God made flesh could and did!

My husband and I have greatly simplified how we celebrate Christmas over the past decade or so. And by doing so we eliminated so much stress and busyness that focus on things other than our Lord. We are present to enjoy His presence.

May each of you find joy in celebrating the mighty work of God in Christ, peace in knowing God with us!
  • Tunney on Exodus 24 - 2 years ago
Romans 8 declares us to be victors in Christ. In all we do, we must trust in HIS word to bring us through the trials and tribulations before us.

We should declare as the people declared on Exodus 24:7b

and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.

Our declaration should be attached to good works in HIS name, Ephesians 2:10.

I am writing this during the December 2023 Christmas season. May we all endeavor to worship the LORD JESUS CHRIST in all HIS glory and splendor. GOD to shine HIS glorious face on all who call on HIM in truth and in spirit.

GOD is praised when we carry out HIS full counsel.

Merry Christmas everyone and have a prosperous New Year in CHRIST Name.

ANGELS OR DOGS?THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT OF GOD

2Co.5:10:We must ALL appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ;that every one receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. -GET READY-

Re.1:20-The seven stars are the angels of the seven Churches(ANGELS?OR DOGS?):and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven Churches.(What we can see by the letters sent to the Churches of Asia is that several angels of the Churches unfortunately failed.By the way, around 65 years after His ascension,at that time the CHURCH OF ROME had completely apostatized( ROMANS 1:21-28),it was no longer part of the body of Christ, reason by which my Lord JESUS directed messages only to the seven Churches in Asia, they were also greatly threatened by the growth of apostasy and idolatry, but my Lord JESUS was watching Satan's movement against His Church, against His body here on earth. The church of Rome would have been the eighth if it had not apostatized as a whole)

    Is.56:10-11

10His watchmen are blind:they are all ignorant, they are all dumb DOGS,they cannot bark;sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

11Yea,they are greedy DOGS which can never have enough, and they are SHEPHERDS(PASTORS)that cannot understand:they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

OTOH,the prophet(the preachers of the Word of GOD)that teacheth lies,he is the TAIL-Is.9:15-,yeah,the TAIL of the Red Dragon- Revelation 12:3-4)

    1Pe.4:17-18

17The time is come that Judgment must begin at the house of GOD:and if it first begin at us,what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of GOD?(Compare with 1Corinthians 6:1-3 and Re.22:15)

18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Celebration of the Lamb's marriage?ONLY AFTER THE JUDGMENT of BABYLON

Hi, Ana. Thank Jesus, that you have been led out of idolatry, into the hands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I pray that the Holy Spirit will abundantly fill your mortal body (and spirit) with the truth and wisdom of our Lord Christ Jesus. He knows all of our hearts and deepest desires, keep his commandments and he will surely bless you in all that you do!!

O, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Who was, who is, and who is to come. Born of the virgin Mary, and conceived by the power of the Holy Ghost! Creator of heaven, where we will serve you during the millennium, the earth, humans, angels, animals, the stars, the sun, the moon, the universe! The new Jerusalem, where we will live in the midst of you; as you sit upon the throne at the right hand of God the father! We pray for strength and deliverance from our tribulations, may you allow us to use the devil's temptations against him, serving our Lord Christ Jesus by calling upon your holy name for mercy and faith to face adversity in spirit and truth. May our transgression against you and our inequity be cleansed and covered in the perfect, sinless, holy, blood of the son of God, divine in the spirit and the flesh. Who's kingdom will reign forever and ever!!! We all need you Lord, for we are in the last days before your second coming, at the last trumpet you will return to reward your people according to their faith, before that we must suffer a little while. The world hated you, and persecuted you and crucified you! You were slaughtered for the remission of our sins, buried behind a stone, rose yourself from the dead; and ascended into the kingdom of heaven! Who is there like unto you O, Lord!! Grant every last one of us the ability to love one another as we love ourselves, as you have commanded! Give us courage to speak not of our own wicked tongue but of the Spirit that you have given to us. Let every man know of your glory my king through our actions, let the world know who the true messiah is, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The great, I am that I am. Until that last day, our final breath. O, great God, we beg you in humility and humbleness; Grant us the willpower to withstand the trials which are ahead of us that we stand firm and our faith be unwavering. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven, Jesus of Nazareth my glorious king, praise you O, Lord! Amen.

    Hi Ali

    Give your worries to the Lord, for he knows exactly what to do with them;

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. - 1 Peter 5:6,7

Our Heavenly Father knows what your needs are and will not forsake you.

Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? - Matthew 6:25

Jesus Christ bless you, Filina. You are never alone my friend, please don't feel like you don't have family or friends. Jesus is your friend, your family, your heavenly father. Jesus is all you need in this life. You can always talk to him, and he will listen it may not seem like it but God has plans for a future for you! Trust in Jesus's timing because he always delivers at the perfect moment he is perfection and he hears you . Stay strong until the end, even in your worst days praise him because he is always great! Matthew Chapter 6 verses 31-34 read, " Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

    Hi Frank

I pray that you don't ignore your physical pain. Though I'm not a doctor, I can't and won't offer any medical advice but I pray that our Heavenly Father will send a guardian angel, if he hasn't already to watch over you.

    Hi Filina

That's very unfortunate. It's important to know that the family you create is more important than the family you come from. Know that the Bible has brought me piece of mind, It's God's word. It will bring you piece of mind as well, for the Bible itself is a weapon against the wicked and the wiles of the devil.

Know that God has a plan for each and every one of us. Based on your story, I'm sure that you're a very wonderful person, and even Satan himself knows better, God allows us to experience this terrible pain and suffering so we can learn and grow stronger.

Remember that Satan HATES it when you find peace and tranquillity, he hopes that you suffer inside that prison for the rest of your life, but remember God will show you the way out, you must trust in him, even if you don't know what his plan is, and we never do!!

    Chris

Much of the problems confronting us is because of our own problems with the doctrine we are faced with. For example, some believe that church officers are not to marry. However, Scripture doesn't teach that.

v3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

Paul wrote that meats offered to idols are nothing in 1 Corinthians 8 ...

1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

2 And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

...9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.

    10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

12 But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

We must be careful in our liberties as saints. Be joyful Brethren, for the joy of the LORD is our strength.

Merry Christmas and have a prosperous New Year; enjoy the food provided and blessed by our SAVIOR KING.

May our LORD GOD, continue to shine HIS glorious face on all on this forum.

The last attribute I will speak to for "O" is God's OMNIPRESENCE

This attribute has a lot to do with His boundlessness and infiniteness. He cannot be contained by space and time. He fills all that there is and is always present everywhere equally. This is also due because He is perfect and pure Spirit. This aspect of His Person and Presence is beyond what we can conceive. Though true that there is no place He is not, He does show Himself Present specifically in the Person of the Son. He reveals His Presence as we see in the OT appearances in the burning bush, the pillar of fire and clouds, in thunder, fire, lightning on Mt. Sinai, and on the mercy seat in the tabernacle. We see His Presence revealed in the womb of Mary when she was great with child, in the manger, and in every moment of the Son's humanity while on earth. Yet, just because the Son is physically and locally present in the Gospels and is seated at the righthand of the Father, God is still everywhere present in and through the Holy Spirit, even as He was specifically present int he Upper Room at Pentecost.

David's words in Psalm 139 shows us that there is no place one can go where God is not there. Because of this omnipresence, God sees, hears, and knows all things at all times, and even is present in our minds and hearts, thus knowing all of our thoughts, motives, choices, as well as all of our sin, pains, sufferings, needs, concerns, and all that affects us without and within us. Because He is ever good, we can be thankful that nothing escapes His presence, knowledge, or sovereignty. We are in His hands and NOTHING can tear us out of His hand or from His care. We are secure in Him and loved in the Son.

To think of everything that goes on in just one small atom (where God is present) and consider all of the atoms in the whole of creation in all of time, How Great is Our God, then! And to know that there is not anyplace in all of space that He is not present can protect us from all powers. AMEN!
