Hello Tyler. I'm sorry to read of this 'hole' that you're stuck in, where nothing seems to be enjoyable to you or even worth pursuing. There are probably a whole bunch of reasons why we humans feel or behave in certain ways, whether it's in our genes, our family situation, our environment, lack of opportunities in life, even when there's no one to help & encourage us in some positive direction. I can relate somewhat to what you've written, as I've had a reasonably sheltered life (at least in my younger years), as far as friendships, interests or hobbies, even having parents who were very reserved in their lives & activities & what we kids were allowed to engage in.

There's no specific Scripture(s) that I can give that would help you, except to keep the matter before the Lord for His Work in your life, and also to extend yourself in some way or reach out to others (however difficult this might be for you), that might trigger the otherwise repressed motivation impulse in you.

The general verses that come to mind are: Psalm 37:5; Proverbs 17:22; Matthew 5:16; Galatians 6:9; Philippians 4:13; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; 1 Peter 5:7.

Some folk in this type of predicament might even visit a therapist, who would help identify any underlying emotional or other health problems & offer suggestions to kick-start your drive to trying out new things. Yet, some things in life require discipline; just as you would need to prepare food or clean the house, so too spending some time in Bible reading & prayer is very important. It's always an interesting journey when you commit this time to God & expect Him to reveal something special to you - this alone should motivate you, just as you are driven to feed yourself or live in a clean home. I pray that you might get a clear direction from the Lord & to pursue something that will bring glory to His Name & bless someone else in need.

The rebellion led to the "anointed cherub" ( Ezekiel 28:14) and his musical gifting in heaven to be removed from his place of authority as we also see in Isaiah 14. He would have been out of the heavenly worship crew at that point pisitionally. Ezekiel 28:16 then talks about rade and violence resulting from what could be a period of time when spiritual beings roamed the earth beteeen the time of Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. This is a controversial topic; what we can say is that there were further punishments when the Nephilim before and after the flood had relations and offspring with women they chose ( Gen. 6:4). They certainly also caused "men of renown" to cause violence and God had to wipe all out except for Noah and his family.

Satan's world although confined to controling the earth apparently also still involved and perhaps still does heavenly meetings with other demons (see Job 1 and 2). These were also involved with David's sin ( 1 Chron. 21:1) as well as lying words in the false prophets (in that case an unknown demonic entity caused this) ( 1 Kings 22:21-23). The last giant recorded was Goliath; and the Nephilim are said to be under the earth in Tartarus or the bottomless pit ( 2 Peter 2:4). The next thing taken froom Satan was the power of death in that all men were in a part of Sheol; but the "good" or pleasant part (Abraham's bosom) Luke 16:22 was removed when Christ went down into the earth after the Crucifixion and captivity was made captive ( Eph. 4:8). Now those absent from the body are present with the Lord; i.e. they go straight to the heavenly throne room. ( 2 Cor. 5:6). Finally; at the midpoint of the Trib. Satan is permanently taken from any access to heaven and cast to earth. It seems all those "powers of the air" or other demons are cast down from space ( Eph 2:2) also see Rev. 12:4. After the Trib he is confined himself to the bottomless pit (see Rev. 20); then in the end of Revelation to the lake of fire joining Antichrist/False Prophet.

You are always my biggest fan; as it were. Listen; I am SUPPOSED to head up a study on prophecy Jan 9; but insisted that there would be prayer first and some general suggestions as to a few topics to discuss. I am not planning to go ahead without it; the original plan about 9 months ago for the same thing fell through. I have a feeling it will again. What is important to me is that what I say is "efifying". I am also praying that a real move of God transpires; there seems to be a lot of lukewarmness about.

The Lord has given me some insight; and I would even say visions of the future; some of which are from when I first was saved in the 1980s. I am not gifted in teaching so appreciate prayer. Also for the possibility of a study in a local nursing home this month; I hope to hear from the director again of volunteer services if it is His will; if not then no. Finally; I could put all this on prayer but I have had a fairly honest talk with my family about finding a place nearby and I am primarily looking at leads in my local church. My family is unsaved; and they have certain need for my help; although there is no need yet for 24 hour care. I am praying my mom will get help once my dad's mind or health deteriorates enough; she is rather intransagent now. Thankfully I talked to my dad first then my mom today and am transparent about what I'm doing. God has shown me favor on my pt job as I need to take a couple personal days and maybe another partial to take my parents to med appts. I am praying if a good service for driving is available He will open up another avenue; for now I think I can work things out with my employer as I would like to continue to work.

I have taken time off from hobbies and such in December (coin collecting). This has given me max time for this site. I plan to continue for now; until I run out of ideas or get too busy with work or other ministries. Googling verses has helped me learn where sriptures are that I am familiar with.

I've had migraines for 40+ years. I would appreciate it if people could pray that a medication is found to give me lasting relief. They are almost daily and quite painful. Either that, or that our Lord would simply remove them completely. Thank you, and God bless you!

    Hi Aaron.

I agree with Helene in giving you

1 John 4:4 "YE ARE OF GOD, little children, and have overcome them: because "GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU", than he that is in the world.

"YE ARE OF GOD" There is your protection. You are born of God's Spirit.

You have more protection than what any man or Angels can provide!!

I would also like to add these verses.

Romans 8:31-39. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us ALL THINGS? ( Protection from the evil one included )

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, NOR ANGELS, NOR PRINCIPALITIES, NOR POWERS, NOR THINGS PRESENT, NOR THINGS TO COME,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Not even ourselves can separate us from the love of God.

    I hope this helps.

    God bless.

So true, Richard. God does know what He is doing and that it is the wisest and best for all things considered.

The life to come will be so glorious, I don't even think we can imagine what it is like and come remotely close. But I believe that it will be completely satisfying and joyous. We will find contentment that lasts and needs no adjustments. Can't wait!

    Aaron,

The scripture below is your promise. Nothing can harm you because you are a child of God. You have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, been baptized with the Holy Spirit, you are a free man and can overcome anything with the Lord's help & direction. May God bless you.

1 John 4:4 - "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is HE that is within you, than he that is in the world."

    Footnote on rewards.

Irregardless of whether men or women have any different roles either now or in eternity I thought a few words on eternal rewards needed to be said for exhortation. Hebrews 11:16 makes it clear that a heavenly country was sought; hence we are as aliens and pilgrims on the earth ( 1 Peter 2:11-12). Paul exhorts us to press on to win the prize and to put worldly concerns behind us ( Phil. 3:14). We must be careful to endure to the end so as not to forfeit our reward ( Rev. 3:11).

It is clear from these and other exhortations that our reward comes not in this life but in heaven. This; of course is against those preachers emphasizing worldly riches as indication of "blessings from God." Luke 4:6 should be a healthy reminder that the enemy also can offer things in this life and in the end of course pull the rug out from under us.

There are verses talking about people praising our "good works" ( Matt. 5:16). Such was probably the case early on in Christ's ministry also; while He hid from many His truths in parables and didn't yet fully reveal Himself to men so as to accellerate beyond the set time for the persecution and death to occur. There were many who would see Him as "good teacher" would recieve the statement in Mark 10:18 about God alone being good. We will be hated in this life; clearly and our reward being great for the hurtful statements in the Beatitudes clearly is indicative of eternity in heaven after this life. It is for "His Name's sake" ( Jn. 15:21) that we suffer these things. That name; which is the only figure in religion I know of that is cursed by all pagans. The Name which claims to be THE truth ( Jn. 14:6). Satan is going to resist God and His people as long as he is still loose in this world and to the extent God allows Him to test us. May we hold on tenaciously to His promises through the power of the Spirit. Let us continue until the end to be "salt and light!" ( Matt. 5:13-14).

    Agape.

Dear Cheryl, I will pray for you, your husband, and Ivy today.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today in prayer for Cheryl, her husband, Ivy, and Ivy's parents. In Your mercy, Father, hear our prayers. Help Cheryl in her loneliness. It is so tough to be in a marriage where there is not unity of hearts and minds. Bring joy to Cheryl in the midst of this situation. Bring her peace and comfort in Your Presence. Help her to know Your nearness and constant care for her. Lift up her spirit from this lonely, depressing feeling and help her to reset her mind to think on things that are beneficial and lovely and true and good and uplifting. We ask that You work in the heart of Cheryl's husband to bring him around to You in repentance and faith. Cause him to seek You more and more. Help him to be sensitive and understanding of Cheryl in her emotional state.

Father, we lift up Ivy and ask that You reverse in her this feeling to be "non-binary". It is from the evil one and we ask that You convince Ivy that she is, indeed, a young woman as You have created her to be. Help her with the underlying reason for her to seek attention from declaring herself "non-binary" as it is truly a cry for help of some kind. She is so young and impressionable. Take out of her sphere of influence any who will indulge her idea of being non-binary and surround her with loving, thoughtful, Christian friends and counsel that will guide her towards You and your ways. Help her parents to support Ivy in the proper way a parent should in this situation and to give Ivy the love, attention, security, and approval she needs as a young woman going through the treacherous teen years in this culture. Father, protect Ivy from groomers, abusers, peer pressure, and evil doers.

We ask these things of You, Father, in the name of Your Son, Jesus, Amen.

Dear K.D.M. I'm praying for your today.

Dear Heavenly Father, Be with this K.D.M. as she takes on the responsibility of bringing up her grandson. Bless her financially. Give her added strength to keep up with this little one as he grows. We ask that You will come to rescue K.D.M.'s son from addiction and the lifestyle that accompanies this dreadful enslavement. Set him free from the "need" for drugs and deliver him from whatever is holding him into this lifestyle. Father, we ask that You intervene in this situation and bring beauty out of what is ungodly through Your redemptive grace. Provide for K.D.M., her grandson, and her son in this time of need. We ask these things of You, Father, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
