    Hi MaxM,

We all have attraction to sin, because sin is very attractive and enticing. Satan helps make that happen and offers cute little lies to help deceive us into rationalizing it. It happened in the original sin and happens today. One of those clever little tricks is saying that my sin is my identity therefore its ok because I can't help it.

I'm going to take a risk here and say something disgusting to make a point. This is that part of me would love to commit a certain sin tonight, by entering a certain establishment and doing a certain activity. But God already said it's wrong and sin in black and white. I am a Christian and I also like this activity. But here's the deception: is that activity my identity? because I want it? Maybe it is, then I can't help it, maybe I was born to do it. Because it feels good, and I like or love it. And because of that, God made me that way and I can't help it. God wants me to love, right? I'm actually a victim actually. I'm only carrying out what God made me to do, right? Do you notice the pattern of rationalizations? Are these rationalizations true or a lie? I left this generic enough that this template can be applied to justify almost any disgusting sin that God hates like: adultery, prostitution, homosexuality, drugs, drunkenness, violence, murder, etc. Also: no one will know, it won't hurt anyone else, others do it too, if I don't, someone else will.

All these rationalizations are lies that people commonly do. Satan basically recycles the same temptations using the same flawed logic over and over, and we all struggle with and have temptations to sin. An opportunity presents itself and we have a choice. Are we going to follow God or not? Are we going to do good or not? Genuine Christ followers follow and obey Christ and are obviously to avoid all of these. The past can be forgiven, but we must stop it and sin no more if we are genuine about being a Christian and want hope for salvation. God bless.

    Hello MaxM.

I don't know if that was God's answer to your request, but if it was then the answer is obvious, you are in the wrong path. Homosexuality is a sin according to the Word of God, like any other sin. And if one doesn't repent and keep following a sinful life then the end is definitely not Heaven, even if that person is called (or indeed is) a christian. You said you are not a super religious christian, so are you born again? Have you been baptized in water, in Spirit? Do you attend a christian congregation? If not then start doing it. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and change it. Ask Him to free you from any kind of things that keep you imprisoned in a sinful life, some things only God can do, it is not up to our own capabilities. Look for and join a christian congregation where you can be tought the Word of God properly. And follow the narrow path(God's commandments). And remember, only the 5 wise virgins made it to the marriage, the other 5 were left out. All of them were virgins(believers) but only the ready ones, the ones that had light in their lamps(a shining life) entered Heaven. GBU

Fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I continue to visit this page every day and pray for those who post their prayer requests here. I humbly ask for you to pray for me today

I need deliverance from my sinful nature, demons that oppress me, and from being under the influence of evil spirits. I have allowed anger, hate, bitterness, jealousy, vengeance, manipulation, unforgiveness, pride, resentment, entitlement, greed, control, wickedness, unbelief, and so many other spiritual influences to direct my behavior. It has caused great anxiety, depression, and failures in my life. I am my own worst enemy, and I need to be delivered from these things in order to refrain from self-sabotage.

I love the Lord, and I know I have disappointed him. I am wholeheartedly seeking him so that I may obtain HIS peace and healing, turn my life around, and be someone he can be proud of. Sometimes, it is difficult for me to believe that he loves me, because of the negative feelings that overwhelm me. I pray that he does not forget me, and that I may continue to have his favor and blessings in the areas of work and physical health. I ask for breakthroughs in my mental and emotional health struggles. I ask for miraculous opportunities in my career. I ask for protection from continued spiritual attacks. I ask for healing and restoration in my relationships. Lord, I cling to you and NEED you. Please hear my supplications. Help me Father.

In the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Alex1939...Hiya Greg Avina...I will try to answer this question...About John 16:13...He will not speak of himself...Simply b/c he is an infant that has to be born in us...And Infants cannot speak for a while...As Jesus said that which is born of the spirit is spirit which is the H.G. the Child of Promise...But he is just an infant that cannot speak for a season... Rev 12:5...She brought forth a man child that is gonna rule all nations...This Child is gonna be born in us via the seed of the sower the words of this new Covenant ...This woman is the world...Whosoever receiveth one such child in my name receiveth ME...Gal.4:1 Now i say unto that the HEIR, as long he is a Child differs nothing from a servant tho he be LORD OF ALL...He is the H.G...Imanuel the Child of Promise the gift of God...God with us...But he has to be BORN in us...Remember Jesus had to be born in MARY...But Jesus refers to himself as the son of man...Mankind is gona birth a baby Christ...which is the H.G. an infant that cannot speak for a while.

..... Isaiah 49:23...Kings shall be your nursing fathers and Queens shall be your nursing mothers...Kings and Queens are just symbolic language for men and women that have birth this man Child the H.G the New Birth...The spirit of truth that is gonna rule all nations has to be born in us...The Kingdom does not come till the woman gives BIRTH to the manchild that spirit of truth that is gonna reprove this whole world of sin and judgement and righteousness ....But in time this anointing will teach you all things...K

Today, for me is December 31, 2022. I find this passage to be a great launching point into 2023.

May we all as brethren in the LORD, follow hard to the words of our LORD CHRIST JESUS and endeavor to be "charitable" in all we do and say. May we all, over look the ills and problems of others, as our GOD did for us and exhort, encourage, and pray diligently for our leaders, for our friends, family, neighbors, and yes, even for those who despitefully use us.

GOD to shine HIS glorious face upon all on this forum, and be gracious unto you. The LORD to lift up HIS countenance upon you and give you peace.

Praise the LORD! Have a Happy New Year everyone.

Why do some churches worship ,sing songs to, and pray to the Holy Spirit? Christ taught in John 16 that the Holy Spirit does not speak of Himself, but glorifies Jesus. I'm don't want to be contentious, it's just that I've not found any scriptural examples of saints offering worship like this.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. A faith that is in the past present and future! like the eternalness of God who said "I AM, that I AM".

I recall learning/studying Revelation with Sr pastor Gary Hamrick's videos on YouTube, they had segments where he and his sons took questions from the public via email and texts. This subject you mention did come up. I don't recall which video but there are some videos in the series in-between that are labeled Q&A. It's on YouTube, 22 chapters: "Revelation_Midweek."

Here is the link: Oh well SEARCH: "Verse by Verse Bible Study | Intro to the book of Revelation | Gary Hamrick" (also Cornerstone chapel dot net)

I always have this Bible online on my phone and will stop the videos and look up whatever I need to online here while doing the classes. The very last video is Q&A with Dr. Ed Hindson who sadly passed away a few months ago. This site online is my foundation but for dissecting every word in each chapter of Revelation, Gary Hamrick has the gift for teaching it.

He will also guide you to go and read your Bible so you will learn after he explains it, not easy but practice makes it much easier.

I hope this helps, follow the guidance. We are all born sinners at birth. Jesus knows this and that's why he died for our sins. You will find your way, just you and He, that's what it's all about. Don't get "LEFT BEHIND" Hugs

As an old man,I have seen the future with regards to the young and up coming. Children do not be decieved, waiting for the gov't to show you a way into the future! The govt's tho established by God, are for the good and the evil. They are ordained for the present world, and will use their authority according to the present time. If you think they care for you , it will not be what you think, but what they have planned. Even so, these in authority think they do Gods will, not unlike Israel past who had good and evil kings. If you work hard and become independent, this is freedom! Freedom to live a Godly life according to His will. If however you do not work hard and stand idly buy complaining and coveting, you are not free!

Waiting for the gov't, you might see yourself living in camps they have decided to deal with you. God created us to work, and work is what you must do. The inheritance you will recieve, you shall never recieve for you have not earned it! There is a good book called the grapes of wrath, you might want to read it along with your bible! Repent and be Baptized happy New Year. In Christ !

Without faith is is impossible to please Him. Picking a passage out of scripture and applying it is always good, except when you say there is the possibility of NO heaven. My friend heaven is all around you, the wind blows and you hear the sound, but you cannot tell where it comes and goes. Such are those who are born of the spirit!

Are you baptized into Christ? If not, repent and be Baptized

God does not answer the prayers of an unbeliever. If you want Him to answer any prayer in the future, you must become a believer first. Others can pray for you however.

I flipped to a random page in the Bible and asked God to give me some sort of sign or reassurance (I am Christian but not super religious at all and am not very educated about it) and got:

    Romans 7:19

"For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do."

It is worth mentioning that I have strong same-sex attraction, which I am not really ashamed of, just extremely worried that I will not go to Heaven, assuming there is one, because of it. If I could turn any alleged sin into a non-sin, it would absolutely be gayness. Was this chapter a sign, do you think? What exactly could this exact passage mean in my scenerio? Do you have any advice?

    Hi GiGi,

Thank you. Your thoughtful replies whether short or lengthy, are so much appreciated, and not in vain. I think you'll agree, we

have no clue, in general, as to what degree, and when our thoughts and words have on others, whether positive or sadly, negative, yet we understand they will. Yet, I don't want to speak for you.

It is my intention to continue thinking on what you and Richard thoughtfully wrote. Whether I agree or not really doesn't matter as much as having a respectful, loving attitude towards everyone. In retrospect, I realize I have been a bit emphatic at times, with my words, which maybe seemed disrespectful to some. Damn ego. My apologies to anyone who's perceived that I've disrespected them, and would ask, for their own benefit as well as mine, to forgive me.

    Peace GiGi

A brief point to this is that God uses Satan for His purposes (as stated in my recent posts). God has allowed this usurper to complete his purposes for the redemption of man ( Genesis 3) to the crucifixion and betrayal of Christ based on prophecies of Judas in Psalm 109; etc. God has to have an instrument to do these evil things as He himself cannot sin. Christ had to take on our sins as the innocent lamb after a sinless life of obedience. Thus; He CANNOT do otherwise; no other meethod than belief in the Son of God and no other work will atone for our sins; thus in creation there is no way we can "save ourselves."

ALL of these things bring glory to God; and He is praised forever. In eternity; of course we will begin to live as we were designed to in a sinless state learning evermore from God and enjoying the splendors of heaven.

Sin therefore for God's elect is never "stronger" as it were than God's mercy and forgiveness. There are simply two realities; one for those saved and one for the lost. It appears as the wheat and tares there is no difference as we all live in the world but are not OF it.

As always; I feel remiss if I don't make an extremely strong push here towards conveying jut how real the enemy is and his stranglehold over this world. But as with the way we approach God; the book of Jude makes it clear we dare not make a "railing accusation" ( Jude 1:9). We appeal to the Lord or we stand vulnerable to being squashed like a bug.

Understanding how sin; and evil men facilitate God's plans are beyond our understanding; nonetheless Pilate put up the INRI on the cross stating who Christ was (King of the Jews). The Lord has the last laugh (and as I stated before is the only one in destruction of the wicked to be able to do that without sinning).

Again probably this brings more questions. I hope you get some joy as 2023 comes in.

I'll try a couple points here; although I can fairly well predict any answers will lead to more questions.

I will let you find the verse where Jesus was "amazed" at the faith of the Centurion. There are other verses where God is hot with anger as well as being called a "jealous" God. And perhaps that explains why only God can hate with a "perfect" hatred; for anyone else to try it would be sin.

Perhaps the idea in the verse that "no suitable" mate was found was more of an exercise for Adam to discover this truth about the animal Kingdom. In any event; man uniquely came from Adam's rib as stated in the scripture. Eve means this; as "woman" came out of "man". This brings a soul connection to men which the animal kingdom wouldn't possess; hence rules exist for us as to being equally yoked; nonetheless a marriage vow before God is still classified as a marriage. To have the Lord in the relationship is the only way that our spirit in that sense ( Romans 8:16) as to unity among men; the marriage however is still seen as one in soul. That's the best I can see it. It also explains why we can't just mess around before marriage either as that involves only a fleshly union; and I am convinced any soul connection as it were is in reality a demonic deception. d

It is also to remember that Lucifer also was created perfect in his ways ( Isaiah 14). Pride brought him down; as it did with man.

I hope you will consider the fact tht God only draws those the Father has given Him. ( John 6:44). Thus; our eternal fate was already decided among the Godhead before time began; He will not lose anyone of His sheep. I'm not sure a long Calvanist dissertation will be helpful here but I thought searching the scripture as with all things would.

Evil within the garden is an interesting point. We can look to Rev. 12:10 and see it appears until the midpoint of the Trib those in heaven are accused; they are certainly blasphemed from earth ( Rev. 13:6). So good can evil can be nearby.
