There is a new verse of the day appearing on the home page of this site. In 1 year you would have read 365 Bible verses. They include Psalms but are not only for Psalms.
May God bless you,
KJBO
I looking for the Book Psalms to put tpgether a list of 365 Verses that I can email out one
each day to my Prayer Partners to Share and to Memorize on Verse A Day added to our
regular daily Study and at the end of the year we would have added 365 Scriptures of
Wisdom to our memory. Do yo already have something like that or do I have to create
an APP and do it manually ?
God Bless this Ministry
Charlene
So, at the appointed time ( Romans 5:6), God sent out His Word for His people (Israel), just as He did by the mouths of the prophets in the Old Testament days. But this time, God clothed His Word with flesh, so that Israel might not only hear from God directly to them, but also witness that this One from Heaven has come to be the supreme Sacrifice for them. Their other sacrifices were only temporary until the coming of God's Sacrifice: Himself (His Word made flesh).
Then to your question: for Jesus (the Word out of God's Being) to live as a man, suffer & die as a man, he would have had to lay aside those attributes of Divinity that could never permit Him an experience of pain & death. Philippians 2:5-8 gives a perfect explanation of how Jesus had to humble Himself, not hold onto His equality with God before men , instead became their servant. Jesus now is God's Son, & as a man with human feelings, would rightly call out, in prayer, to His Father in Heaven; & He will always be God's Son seated beside His Father.
Revelation 4:1 is the verse that's used by those who believe that the believers will be raptured prior to the Tribulation Period, because number 1, the door had been opened, and number two, a trumpet was talking to him (John).
It's the same as Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 4:13, I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that you sorrow not, as others which have no hope.
He had just said in this chapter that the trump of God would sound. It would be a great shout, and the trump of God would sound. And so here is the trumpet talking to John saying come up here.
And those who hold the Pre-Trib. position see that as equivalent to the rapture of the church that is happening.
And from here on, John will see everything from heaven, and the church will no longer be on the earth, but the multitudes will be in heaven.
And many believe that's an indication, among other scriptures, especially 1 Thessalonians Chapter 5 where it gives us the Tribulation Period, and he says this is for the wrath of God, and we (believers) have not been chosen for the wrath of God.
Jesus' ministry was and is to baptize people with His Spirit. That is the baptism that is needed.
I need a breakthrough please and urgently need your prayers. I applied for a mortgage but need to come up with deposit ASAP plus other costs. I also need a spiritual breakthrough and healing.
Thank you brethren
The Lord Jesus richly bless you!
Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you with grief in our hearts over the loss of Randy's daughter. Father, flood the hearts of Randy and his granddaughter with Your comfort, grace, and mercy. Be so close to them in this time and lift up their heavy hearts. Help this young granddaughter cope with the loss of her precious mom. Protect her from any adverse effects from this event that is so traumatizing. Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask You to bring Randy and his granddaughter peace and fill them up with Your love tonight. Amen.
We should all be praying for safety for everyone who may be adversely affected by this coldness. Also, in Europe there are many places where people do not have any heat and it is very frigid there.
May God be merciful and provide for those who need help staying warm.
Yes, and Merry Christmas. Celebrating the incarnation of our Lord, God with us, is always in season!
2 Tim 1:9-11
To ignore these verses is just blatantly rejecting God and HIS way.
Hopefully these are helpful
Also, The Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write "my gospel" on a few occasions. Rom 2:16 Rom 16:25.
It's a distinct message given by Jesus Christ. To say that "focusing on Paul" is turning away from scripture is simply not true. Paul talked about Christ more then any other writer. Paul kept his sights on the Lord as he instructs us to do; not according to the Lord's earthly ministry, but according to the revelation of the mystery which IS the will of God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. Col 2:2.
Our gospel is 1 Cor 15:1-4. It's not in Matthew - John. You find the other gospel in the Gospels. ( Gal 2:7). The only one disputing is you. I am defending the truth because I am not ashamed of it.
You cannot sit here and tell me the scriptures make sense without dispensationalism (which is in the Bible Eph 1:10 Eph 3:2).
And like I told the one brother, I mentioned 2 Tim 3:16. But what comes before chapter 3? Chapter 2. Specifically 2 Tim 2:15.
Guess what? If someone is erred in the scripture and I know the truth, I'm going to speak up. I've been silent for too long.
My feet are improving from last week. I have been trying to rest more. I think I overdid it a week ago Monday when I did laundry at the laundromat for my sister-in law. They had a house fire a month ago and I filled up the back of my truck with bedding, linens, and clothing that is salvageable. Did 9 giant loads at the laundromat. Took 5 hours to complete with washing, drying, folding, and dividing into sealable bins. So, being on my feet for those 5 hours must have made them flair up along with my shoulders and hip. So, things are calming down now. Thankful for that. Go to the podiatrist Jan 2nd for a recheck. Then we go from there with a plan.
How is Daniel doing? I continue to pray for him.
Donna, you are such a blessing and I am so glad to be on this forum and met you. I have a handful of people I see here in my neck of the woods, but I don't spend time in crowded situation, especially at this time of year with all the respiratory viruses being raging. These are what make me very sick and kick up my asthma symptoms big time. So, praying that I continue to avoid coming down with any that are stewing and being passed around. I am getting used to not being as social as I once was, but I need to stay as healthy as I can.
My hubby and I will celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary tomorrow. We still have a few dozen years left, God willing. I want to be as healthy as I can as we grow old together.
Hopefully these are helpful in your study
John 5:30, John 10:17, John 14:23, John 16:27,
Deuteronomy 4:2, Revelation 22:18,19, 1John 2:26,27, Colossians 2:8,
Hopefully helpful
Paul never said that his writings are strictly for the Gentiles and the rest of Scripture is for the Jews. Your viewpoint adds to Scripture doctrines that are not there. I cannot concur with you on this. JESUS is our Apostle.
