Dear John, Happy Thanksgiving. We all have something to be thankful for all year no matter how much or how little we have. You say, "that church thing," and I am wondering if you are a born-again believer in Christ, who when He ascended to heaven left His Comforter, the Holy Spirit, who guides the believer.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Paul and Silas's jailer asked them in ACTS 16:30 ..."Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" Their answer was as simple as this in ACTS 16:31 ..."Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved..."

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:9-13.

On the other hand, John, if you are born-again, draw close to Him and He will draw close to you. Pray for His guidance, read and study the Bible, and trust Him. He will not abandon you.

Let's all pray for the brokenhearted today. And for our world, that is clearly broken.

    [:-) Thanksgiving]

I am SO thankful that the Lord has forgiven me and has been abundantly merciful to me a sinner, saved by grace.

I don't have any worldly goods, but I have a Father in Heaven who has poured out His love and protection on me, and for that I am thankful beyond measure. I have a lot that others don't have today and I am very mindful of that.

I'm alive and well for the most part and I have my family (most are far away, but near in heart) and my brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world, for which I am extremely grateful. I am not cold or hungry today, and I slept in a warm bed last night.

I realize that so many this morning can't say that. I'm praying for them right now. Lord please bind up the wounds of the broken-hearted. Save the lost. Holy Spirit please fill the void in their lives today. Be merciful Lord. And yes, Jesus, please come quickly.

Lord please send provisions, salvation, joy, and Holy Spirit comfort/peace to their souls on this Thanksgiving day, and help us all to be a blessing to someone in need. In Jesus name. Amen."

Prayers for all of those who are alone over the holiday season. It's not an easy time for many.

Also society seeks to be getting more and more corrupt- people willing to deceive each other and cause harm to others.

    Jesus please come soon.

  • S Spencer - In Reply - 2 years ago
Thanks For those kind words Brother Chris.

I concur with you on Satan and his devices. He's described as a roaring lion. When a lion roar, he scatters his pray. Doctrinally we seems pretty scattered to me. Especially with so many denominations, partiality, and passiveness.

Most of the church damage has been done from the inside.

A site like this has its difficulties because you can't pull one to the side and talk out an issue. It's difficult to show meekness on pin and paper when applying

    Galatians 6:1.

We treat the church like a membership we leave at the church building until the following Sunday.

What good are we to Christ if our light only shines inside the walls of the church and closed doors. We are the salt of the world.!

All scripture should be considered all our life and everywhere we go!

If we were in the public and someone was to announce us as the church would you denounce it? No. We would atleast would say we're Church members!

But when we gather on a site such as this we leave off the teachings of Paul where he teaches structure in the Church. As well as several other virtuous scriptures from various writers.

Israel was set apart from the world and when they wondered in the wilderness they were still Israel. Likewise the church is still a church outside the church building.

And you are still a follower of Christ teachings when you are by yourself in the world as a witness.

If we denounce that we are not an ambassador of Christ.

God bless you Brother for all you do.

    Hi again RobL.

Sorry but I made a mistake in answering your question.

I gave you the rapture when your question was "How will our LORD God remove the evil this time which has more than likely repented(grieved) Him?"

The rapture is when Christ comes for his Church. as mentioned here in

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

We will be removed from the wrath.

The wrath of God comes upon all the Inhabitants of the Earth.

    Isaiah 24:1-23.

    Isaiah 34:1-17.

    Zephaniah 1:14-18

    Many other references.

NOTE: God's children is never called Inhabitants of the earth.

But we are not appointed to wrath.

    1 Thessalonians 5:1-9.

Now as far as removal of evil, this will happen following the rapture and the 70th week of Daniel. "7 years tribulation period" with the last 3 and a half being the great tribulation.

Note: "There will be people getting saved during this period "

Satan will be chained a thousand years and Christ will rule here on earth with a rod of Iron sitting on David's Throne. This is the Millennium kingdom.

Then the devil will be loosed and deceive the Nations again.

Then comes the wrath of God and the removal of Evil as you asked.

This is what's mentioned in Matthew 13:36-43.

    In Matthew 13:41 notice that the unrighteous is gathered. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

    This Parallels with

    Matthew 24:36-51.

These are taking away for judgment.

No removal of saints/Rapture here in these verses! It's the removal of the unrighteous.

The rapture It has already happened.

    Sorry for all the confusion.

    God bless.

Hello RobLor. Genesis 9:4-6 reads, "But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man."

Is this the passage you're referring to? If so, the context here is about two things: eating (animal) flesh with the blood, and the shedding of innocent blood. I couldn't align this passage to what you've suggested.

Thank you brother S. Spencer for those very worthy thoughts & challenges, as well as the commentary from Chuck.

The tendency to lukewarmness will always be manifested when the believer's focus begins to turn away from Jesus & the gravity of his salvation. There's too much in the world to distract us, not just momentarily, but persisting in its appeal to the flesh, compelling us to compromise our devotion & service to our Lord. I think that most of us here on this Site, which may reflect somewhat the congregations of well-fed, Spirit-led Fellowships, are daily walking circumspectly & in the fear of the Lord.

But we should never be 'ignorant of Satan's devices', for he will surely distract us or trip us up sufficiently & frequently, to compel the believer to feel that the journey ahead with Christ is too hard to follow, that some compromise is a must. Once we believe him, our downfall will be certain and probably rapid. We must indeed, daily, if not, moment-by-moment, be on guard for our own lives & those in Christ around us, so that Satan will not gain the victory, but that Jesus alone will be our only joy & hope. An almost daily scrutinizing of our lives is necessary to maintain such vigilance, discarding the dross of the world & removing any of its stains that would mar the Image of Christ He has given us. The Lord bless you for sharing us those precious thoughts.

Go back read Genesis 6:11 - 22 where Gods makes a covenant with Noah and his family and tells him to bring aboard the ark two of every flesh/sort male and female . are the wicked a sort ? How about People of color ? is it possible man was already on earth and populated it before Adam ? is it suggested in the beginning God made the races on the fifth day of creation both male and female ? is a thousand yours on earth just a day to God ? I have read where they do suggest . and Noah brought aboard two of every race color and creed .

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.

And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.

There are a very many verses referring to Jesus in the O.T. I would recommend doing a web search with:

Old Testament verses that refer to Jesus?

You will get many sites that list the verses.

    Hello Giannis,

I believe the Bible says that God swept away the ancient world in the flood. It seems from what I have read that the surface of the earth was re-shaped. I think that, rather than being a very primitive society, that the ancient world was very advanced. Adam and Eve would have been the pinnacle of human intelligence and their progeny would also be genetically intelligent, creative and able to, in just 1600 years or so to develop their world in a very advanced way. Considering that the average life span of these first generation was about 900 years, each person would have 10 times more time than any of us to develop their ideas and the collective knowledge shared among those of the same generation and passed on to the next would have been very incredibly amazing. They were smeltering metal just a few generations from Adam (See Tubal-Cain) and building cities early on.

As to the Nephilim, I just don't think we really know how they were generated. As the term "sons of god" could denote angels or believing humans. None of these Nephilim survived the flood to make a history for themselves. So, there is so much we do not know about the time before the flood. God wanted it to be that way, for good reason. But there must have been something very extraordinary about them, as the text seems to say.

After the flood, Noah and his sons had to start from scratch again, even more so than Adam and Eve since the surface of the earth was so ruined by the flood. It was the generations after Noah that were so primitive. These first generations of Noah had to start from scratch, even more so than Adam and Eve, because the surface of the earth was in ruins after the flood and because all of the infrastructure of the pre-flood earth was gone. Noah and his sons certainly would have had skills learned from their pre-flood years, but not the materials to use for those skills yet, nor was there the man-power of beast-power to use for accomplishing grand designs.

Not an Idol , but a symbol for true followers .

The cross is an upright stake, hence a cross (the Rom. instrument of crucifixion)

[The "cross" Mark 8:34 is not a symbol for suffering in general. Rather it refers to withstanding persecution (difficult times), by the Lord's power, as He directs the circumstances of life. As Christ's disciples, believers are to hold true - even when attacked by the ungodly.]

And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:27

The cross is a symbol for Christ followers , used figuratively for the (sacrifice) each believer bears to be a true follower .

    Dear RonLor,

Jesus spoke of many parables concerning this topic. One of them was when the Son of God sowed a field with good seed, and the devil came and inter-sowed his bad seed in the same field (the earth throughout the ages). The wheat and the tares grew up. Jesus said that the tares were not to be weeded out before harvest because some of the wheat would inevitably be plucked out before it was ready to be reaped. Then Jesus said that both will grow together until the angels come to harvest the souls of the Kingdom of God from the souls of the kingdom of the devil. This will happen at the end of the age. The tares will be harvested and gathered out of His (God's) Kingdom and thrown into the fire. Then the righteous souls will shine forth as the sun in the Father's kingdom. See Matthew 13:36-43.

So, from this parable that Jesus explained to the disciples. Evil, the devil and his angels, and those who are wicked and unsaved will continue to be in the world with believers until the end when Jesus returns.

I would like a prayer for my daughter, I PRAY TO HAVE HER BACK IN MY LIFE. I have not touched my daughter or seen her since she was 4 shes now 14. My "family" wont let me even touch her or talk to her and it hurts. I can't even text her cause i dont know if it is really her. I BELIEVE THEY USE HER FOR THEIR MONETARY GAIN TO CONTROL ME.

I pray to God day in and day out, Ive argued with my family about how they get to talk to her and see her and text her but when it comes to me, all they ask about is, have I paid my child support?

Hello Robert, The Hebrew people descended from Eber (sometimes called Heber) who was the great grandson of Shem through Arphaxad and then Salah.. Genesis 10 shows the Table of Nations that descended from Noah's sons Shem, Japheth and Ham. Genesis 11 speaks more about the descendants of Shem from which came the name Semite.

The Hebrew people included many peoples descended from Eber. He had two sons, Joktan (had 13 sons) and Peleg. he had other sons and daughters also. The lineage of Peleg is the line from which Abraham descended. So. Abraham and his lineage were but one of many lines from Eber. So, there were and are many Hebrew peoples that did not descend from Abraham. Yet God chose Abraham out of all the descendants of Noah to select out a specific subgroups of Hebrews to be His chosen people to covenant with.

In the world today, there are people who descended from Shem, Ham, or Japheth. Many are a mix of these lineages over the generations. We are not all Hebrews due to this.

    Hello Adam

About the giants and the Nephillim described in the Bible my thouhts are:

    1. They can not be hybrids of angels or demons. Those are spiritual creatures, they can not mate with material creatures. We don't have the same nature, the same DNA,etc, etc. Besides that angels have not got a sex, male or female, there is no need for that. They don't reproduce.

    2. They can not possibly be hybrids of humans and aliens. Even if we accept that aliens do exist, what makes you think that they can mate with humans and have children with them? Are they supposed to have the same DNA, are they supposed to be exactly like us and have the same reproductory organs? OK let's assume you are right about it. Where is any evidence about them? Haven't they left anything to be discovered by archeology? An iphone. a tablet, something ... (trying to be funy)? Surely they would have left some things for us to discover them later, but nothing of an advanced technology has ever been found. And when they came on earth and had children with humans, have they also left their advanced life and adopted the primitive style of life they found on earth? So they got rid of their weapons, their medicine, their transportation means and everything else they had and lived like primitive people? I think the opposite should had happened, they should had communicated their advanced knowledge to the earthians to help them with their medicine, with anything they had to make our lives easier. That is the normal thing to do, not the opposite.

Ancient people were clever. Do not admire about those findings like the crop circles you said. The ancients have built amazing massive structures like the pyramids with just levers and pulleys, mostly with wooden tools (only copper was available at that time and copper is a very soft metal). In the pre-Columbian Americas the Indians also constructed amazing pyramids when the use of metals was not known at all to them. So do not wonder about these constructions.

Alex N 1939...Hi Rob lemme give ya feelings about the righteousness of this earth in the last days.

Isaiah says that God was gonna make a man more precious then Gold even the golden wedge of Ophir...which is gonna be by his fire of the H.G....in the last day i will pour out of my spirit on all flesh... Joel 2:32

Isaiah said that Knowledge ( An intimacy that is gonna cover this earth resulting in a New BIRTH for every man)...If i be lifted up i will draw all men unto me....While we were yet sinners Christ shed his blood for every man....He has to know us thats when we get that good seed that initiates a new Birth....thats y we need the contents of the book the living words of God.

Who shall abide the day of his coming, Who shall stand when he appears...( 2 nd coming )...For he shall be as a refiners fire and fullers soap....A cleasing fire..Malichi 3 :2...Every sinner has to have his part in the lake of fire...As our God is a Consuming fire...That H.G. FIRE....Remember Jesus said i come to bring fire on the earth which is his baptism of the H.G. and fire....Judgement must began in the house of God...In our hearts and minds etc...I will make a man more precious then Gold...Thus his baptism of the H.G.and Fire.

....I was found of them that sought me not and i was made manifest to them that asked not after me... Hebrews 10:20...The blood of this new Covenant is stronger then anymans sins

When that book is opened in the fathers right HAND we will all sing a new SONG...We will not sing this churchanity Song much longer...The contents of the book ( the living words of God) is gonna be sown in mans hearts...Abide in me and i in you.

.....Thats when peter saw a new heaven and a new earth...Which answers to our new heart and new spirit...So Rob i believe that what Jesus did at Calvary is gonna make us all Absolute Sons of God and the very Israel of God.
