    I'm new to be a Christian and serving god and repenting to him following his every command and my question is it really possible to surround yourself with people who are Christian or people who are as positive as you being in a world filled with lies hate and people who don't serve the lord.

Pray God move in power quickly to keep his promises to us and end the torment our souls are experiencing for good. What we are going through is very painful. Pray for breakthrough, answered prayer, an abundance of love, and for lots of God's redeeming love and grace. Pray God not delay.

    Please try to stay calm . If you are referring to sinful thoughts then be assured , it is normal for any and all of us to have these sometimes . We are humans and therefore sinful . There is no point in beating yourself up over those things , they will come and go all your life . The main thing is not to act on them . Try to figure out what the root cause of them is , are you annoyed at someone ? Is someone picking on you ? Are you feeling afraid for some reason ? Take time to think in a calm way , where this could be coming from and , most importantly , talk to God about these things , not just once , or twice , but as many times over as many days as it takes for you to feel better about this situation . When we feel guilty over something , that can stress us out and then affect other areas of our lives . Find the root cause , dig it out and talk to your Heavenly Father through Christ our Sinless High Priest . You are not perfect and you won't be in this life but there is a difference between having sinful thoughts and acting on them , when they stay in our heads then we don't hurt anyone else other than ourselves . God will help us to heal from these psychological strains if we talk to Him about them . Don't be afraid of Him , He wants you to open up to Him . When you do that you will feel a weight off your mind and , you are showing faith in Him by talking to Him honestly .

    19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

    20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

    Dear Annamae, It's hard, I know, but we must not go by the way we feel. Philippians 4:6-7. Just because we feel that God is far from us doesn't mean He is. He has promised to never leave us. Psalm 118:6. The devil will cause you to feel the way you do to disrupt your relationship with God. Here are a few weapons to use against him.

    James 4:7 Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

    1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

    Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment

    thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

    1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

    Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

    I am praying for you...

    The fact that you are feeling convictions that are causing doubt shows that the Holy Spirit is inside of you and working on you. Spiritually dead people do not worry about salvation. Only those whom are filled with the Holy Spirit have such thoughts. If your actions are grieving the Holy Spirit I recommend you be watchful of your convictions and turn from the things causing you to feel convicted. The Holy Spirit is trying to conform you to the image of Christ. Its not an overnight process its an ongoing battle against sin until you pass over into Heaven as Paul tells us in Romans chapter 7.

    Romans 7:25 "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin."

    Ephesians 4:30 "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption."

I went to sleep for the past 2 days, but ill wake up and still be there. I can't go back to sleep. I'll have paranoia that i will have them again, before sleep, and during the day. I'm already taking medication, but it has nothing to do with it. Please pray these will be delivered from me, ask prayer please for deliverance. Thank you

    Psalm 45.

    This Psalm discusses in the first five verses a description of a mighty warrior of valor; with characteristics of "truth; meekness and righteousness" in verse 3. The description in verse 2; however about being fairer than the children of men would certainly seem to portray the future Messiah; or at least an angelic being.

    Verse 6 clearly describes God. Verse 7 discusses God Himself anointing someone; which likely represents only the Messiah Himself. There were special formulas for priests to administer to kings in the O.T. as specified in Leviticus 8:30; as well as Exodus 29 and 30.

    Verse 8 discusses Myrrh which was one of the spices brought to Christ ( Matthew 2:11).

    The remainder of the Psalm except for the last verse could describe the nuptuals and marriage bonds such as found in the Song of Solomon. We are also reminded of the story of Ruth who left her own people and was blessed for joining Naomi and the Jews; and eventually was part of he royal lineage from the sentiments in verse 10.

    Verse 16 could describe spiritual offspring; and relate to us as in Revelation 5:10 being "kings and priests on the earth". The last verse also seems to indicate Christ being "remembered in all generations." The whole Psalm is likely a depiction of David as seen by those writing it for the sons of Korah for worship.

    Psalm 45

    This Psalm contains virtues of a human king; but also some of God's attributes alone. Most verses can have either meaning. In the first five verses we see characteristics of a valiant warrior with "truth, meekness and righteousness" adding to the exalted status. Verse 2 however stating that the appearance was "fairer than the children of men" would seem to indicate a description of God; or at least that of an angelic being.

    Verse 6 directly describes God; and verse 7 seems to indicate a Messianic anointing. Priests in Exodus 29:7 and Exodus 8:30 were anointed and the further application was to be for the Messiah. Myrrh in verse 8 is mentioned in Matthew 2:11.

    The rest of the Psalm (verses 9 to the end) talk about attributes much as is in the Song of Solomon for the king and could also be related to a love story. Such abandon of our lives and forgetting our own people and past could also relate to someone like Ruth who decided to follow Naomi and therefore became part of the royal lineage. The children in verse 16 could also in some sense be the spiritual descendants of Christ. The Psalm ends with "thy name being remembered in all generations" which is certainly a description of Christ but also could relate to King David co ruling with Christ. We also shall be "kings and priests" on the earth some day ruling and reigning with Christ ( Rev. 5:10).

    Hi Stephen.

    Here in Ch 6, after King Uzziah died you have the call and commission of Isaiah to the office of the prophets.

    In verse 8 he answers the call. "Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I,

    (Here am I; send me.)

    GBU.

    Yes Sir , The two witnesses is an interesting conversation for sure . these are the two mentioned in Matthew 17:2 - 4 Moses and Elijah . they appeared unto them Peter, James, and John his brother when Jesus morphed into his spiritual body right before them high up on the mountain .
  • Sammi - In Reply - 2 years ago
    Amen to you . We live through and in our flesh which profits us nothing in the long run . Our treasure awaits us in another world . It's a constant battle for us all , we must remember that we should know better than to set our hearts on earthly things . It's going to get harder for us all to do the right things in this economic climate , many of us are already struggling and I think things will get much worse . We must be strong and not allow our worldy fears overwhelm us and lead us down the wrong path . Remember , none of those plagues that God put on the Egyptians touched the Israelites . We must have faith in God's care for us , even in dark days , we are not alone .
