i'm not gay but Satan temptation me to choose women and not men. i'm a 26 year old women who never been in a relationship. takes these thoughts away.

When we look at the book of Ezekiel; we see the prophet being spoken to as "son of man". (chapter 12; verse 12). Christ's presence is with capital letters In Daniel; He was called the "Son of Man" and God the Father the "Ancient of Days.". ( Dan. 7:9-14). His presence in someone like Jacob was seen in that He wrestled with God and prevailed. He asked for a blessing; recognizing the divinity of God and was given i ( Gen. 32:29). We also see examples such as with Abraham where the remaining visitor was clearly God or Abraham wouldn't have requested an answer about how many righteous people would need to remain in Sodom for God to preserve the city. ( Gen. 18:16-33). The distinction between the preincarnate Christ and the other 2 angels rests in that angels; messengers of God are faithful in only representing God (or Christ in the Godhead). Their actions are direct orders from the Lord.

We see the impartiality of God in the Angel of Gideon when he stated that he was "on the Lord's side" in Judges chapter 5. It wasn't revealed fully until chapter 6; verse 22. The "Angel" of God that people were instructed to follow also signified God because of the capital letter as well as the fact that disobedience would result in Divine punishment. There was surely a Saviour promised in the O.T.; and Genesis mentioned man being created in "our likeness". The distinction of the Godhead could only be stated in the fact that God the Father never appears to have a definite appearance; as the N.T. states no one has "seen God." ( John 1:18). No one can "see God and live" ( Exodus 33:20) and Moses could only see the back parts again probably of the preincarnate Christ.

It was in the visions and dreams (such as with Daniel) such as the rock that destroyed the rest of the kingdoms of the earth where Christ's glory is revealed. ( Dan. 2:31-36).

My Mama just passed on the first of this month, I have to know that she's in heaven now

Please pray for our friend Jeff. He had lung cancer and beat it. But cancer recurred in his bones. Chemo did not work this time and now spots have been found in his brain. He knows that chemo can't be used on brain cancer, so may try radiation. He is pretty much resolved that he doesn't have a lot of time left. My husband had lunch with him yesterday. Jeff and his family are leaving for Hawaii on Monday (somewhat of a last hurrah trip. So please pray that God will open doors for my husband to share the gospel with Jeff and not be timid about it. It is what God wants him to do and I pray that he will be obedient for Jeff's sake.

Thank you for your prayers. Jeff needs Jesus more than anything else. So we pray for his salvation to be realized soon.

c. Galatians 2:20. "Liberty". Since this whole chapter is on whether justification comes by the Law or by Christ, I feel that this verse is what is on Paul's mind when he writes on his 'crucifixion with Christ'. Certainly, Paul is not claiming a crucifixion akin to Christ's, but I believe that he is stating, that since Jesus' crucifixion was not only for mankind's redemption & for the Law, which could never be kept by man, but was now kept fully by the Lord & nailed to the Cross. Christ's crucifixion confirmed that the workings of the Law (not the Law itself) had died at the Cross, and that faith in the risen Christ alone could secure salvation.

Paul recognized this, as one who was once wholly dependent on the keeping of the Law to be acceptable to God; now, living in the Spirit & not in the flesh, Paul saw that his righteousness before God could never come through the Law but through faith in the Son of God Who died for him. Paul's 'crucifixion' in this sense meant that all that he once held dear in his doctrines & beliefs were now worthless & in opposition to the great merits of Christ's Sacrifice. Paul died to the old Law, even as Jesus' Death brought in a better Law ( Hebrews 7:19,22). Paul's identification with Christ was complete in his spiritual death when only faith in Jesus brought him righteousness.

So to your question: "So I am wondering how this factors into His words about taking up cross and following Him." Paul certainly knew the Truth from those three passages I quoted, as he shed his pharisaical garb & was now clothed with Christ & His Truth. And for us as well: when we fully believe & willingly accept the gracious Yoke of Christ, even though Discipleship might prove very costly & fully identifying with Christ's Death means the destruction of all that we held dear, tethered to Jesus alone, gives us the assurance of His ever-present Grace & Power at all times. If un-yoked to Christ, we're on our own.

Just a few thoughts on what you've shared GiGi. I'm considering the three passages: Matthew 16:24,25; Matthew 11:28-30; Galatians 2:20.

a. Matthew 16:24,25. "Discipleship". Discipleship is costly, more costly than most of us can imagine or have even experienced. To put everything pertaining to life behind one (family, possessions, ambitions, reliance on the material), equates to denying oneself. And to take up one's cross, would be the cumulative effect of that denial/casting aside which one must be prepared to carry for the journey ahead. And this must also include whatever unknowns may lie ahead (of hunger, shelter, loneliness, rejection & persecution). I would think that very few have submitted so fully to the Lord, though the disciples, to whom these words were directly spoken, joyfully apprehended it when "endued with power from on high".

b. Matthew 11:28-30. "Under Grace". Though this passage can accurately be applied to the Lord's gracious Ministry to all, I believe that He is particularly referring to the religious leaders who exacted much much more from the people than what the Law demanded. In Matthew 23:1-4, Jesus spoke of those leaders who correctly brought out Moses' Law, but then He chided them because they added their own "heavy burdens" upon the people, making obedience to the Law wearisome coupled with fear for the penalty if their rules were broken. Therefore, Jesus calls all those that are so burdened & yoked to pharisaical rules to turn to Him, He Whose "yoke" is undergirded with Grace & Truth.

This is a great discussion about which two people in history will be the two witnesses in Jerusalem. Will they be " Elijah and Enoch" or Moses and Elijah? Both have valid responses, so how does this discussion end? And who is the correct? Could there be three possibly?

Sorry for such a long delay in responding I went right off to bed after my last reply.

A disciple of Christ is one who has truly believed on and trusted Christ and have been born of God's spirit. This is not professing to be born again and trying to live a righteous life or by serving or by going to church or by ministering. It's confessing with your mouth and believing in your heart that initiates God's spirit to take residence in you. You are baptized by the Holyspirit, meaning you are Identified with Christ. Christ righteous is imputed over on to you. You are then given a new heart with the ability to love and wants to obey him and serve him at your best. John 14:23-26.

You will also love the brethren. John 13:34-35. 1 John 4:21.

You can't redeem yourself! You are redeemed when you truly believe on the work Jesus did on the cross where he paid our ransom as mentioned.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Mark 10:45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Christianity isn't anything you "DO"

A Christian is what you "BECOME" by the working of the Holyspirit. And you become that by truly trusting in Christ not the works of our own hands. Christ becomes the Lord over your life and the head of the body of Christians you have been baptized into.

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Lord, I pray for complete healing for both Fabi and me in our relationship. Lord, what Satan is trying to use to destroy, we ask You to come and turn that into a testimony of Grace and forgiveness. To change your ways you need a change of heart . Read your Bible . Learn who your God is , learn who Jesus is . Allow God and Jesus into your heart and mind and let them take you over . This won't happen over night . You are at the start of a very personal journey that will take the rest of your life . The Bible is the best place to start .

Well said. The problems that come our way are not the "cross" Jesus is speaking to here. It is to live a life of obedience and submission to God and His agenda, as Jesus did, in my reflection. It may include persecution, rejection, and perhaps even martyrdom. But we have the Holy Spirit as our guarantee of salvation and full redemption.

In Hebrews 12:2-3, Paul says of Jesus, but for the joy set before Him (of resurrected life and the redemption of the saints) He endured the cross, bearing its shame until His work was completed and then, after He resurrected and ascended back to heaven, sat down at the right hand of the Father where He once again openly expresses the glory that He shares with the Father (which He prayed for at the Last Supper). He knew that His days of humbling Himself ( Phil. 2:5-11) would be past and He would be exalted once again.

So, for us, we set before us the joy of heaven and the glorification of our bodies at the resurrection when we endeavor to "take up our cross" daily for the glory of God and the completion of His will being done on earth as it is in heaven. The will of God done in heaven is complete and willing obedience to God as a gift of worship to Him. So, here on earth, we, too, offer the same gift to Him in worship, taking up our cross and following Jesus all the way, every day.

The woman in the allegory is giving birth to Christ, the second coming, and the serpent (satan) wants to kill her.

The woman represents the saints, who are protected for 42 months from death, and are ushering in Christ, getting past anti-christ's 42 month reign. This is what will happen in real life, anti-christ will kill saints. Can you make the real life connection from the cartoon?

These prophetic writings are allegory = a symbolic fictional narrative that conveys a meaning not explicitly set forth in the narrative. You have to know what the Bible says will happen in real life before using allegory and understand it.

Who would recognize an allegory from the real thing? Did you notice 9-11-01 was Revelation 9:1-11, the fifth trumpet? Verse 4: America killed those men who did not have the seal of God in their foreheads (Muslims), and were told not to harm any green tree, and nothing green grows in the desert. Verse 6: The Muslims who were tortured at Abu Ghraib prison were seeking death, and couldn't find it.

In the second half of Revelation 9, a new more powerful army arrives to defeat the previous US army. Images of the beat vs Babylon should come to mind. Imagine being the king of Mystery Babylon, taking his the last call, Jeremiah 50:43.

The end-times have an order, it's not a guessing game when the prophets gave us a map to find the order.

Please pray for me, going thru a terrible divorce and I'm in debt up to my ears and need help restoring a life that i paved without the presence of God in it. I recently surrendered my life to Jesus but each day is a struggle and praying that God shows me favor and helps me get out of this mess that i created.
