...scoured of all blood and rinsed in water.
And finally, no sin offering from which the blood is taken into the tabernacle of meeting and holy place is to be eaten by the priests. It is to be burned wholly upon the altar until consumed. This may mean that there is something about Jesus sacrifice and his blood that is between the Father and the Jesus that we are not privy to. Anything burned upon the altar is offered to God wholly, so the broken body and blood of Jesus is presented to the Father as sin offering for us. It is poured out heavenward, to the Father, before it is appropriated to us to cover our sins.
And I'm sure there are many many more in Heaven who are there (including our loved ones) because of their faith in Jesus, as the merits of the Cross also applied to those who trusted God yet never hearing of Jesus in their earthly lives.
This Section speaks about the sin offering.
First it says that the sin offering is to be killed next to the altar where the burnt offering is burning. The burnt offering is a continuous sacrifice, but the sin offering is necessarily so. This reminds me that Jesus offering of Himself is for all time and it is because of His perfection in all things that our sins can be brought before him when we confess our sins and we can be assured that He will cleans us from all unrighteousness.
Second, the priest who offers the sin offering is to eat the meat of it. It is considered holy, so whoever touches it must be holy also. This must speak to the priest having been consecrated and sanctified before God. No one but a priest could offer the sacrifice. Jesus, a the Last Supper, spoke of the bread being His body, broken for the forgiveness of sins. And then He told His apostles to take and eat it. In this act Jesus is calling us to participate in His death and resurrection every time we observe this ordinance and in doing so, we admit to being united to Him and in communion with Him because He gave Himself up for us.
We, as believers have been made holy by the Holy Spirit. We are worthy to partake of Christ, just as the priests were holy and could partake of the sin offering.
Thirdly, the blood of the offerings was to be treated with respect, and if one's garment was sprinkled with this blood, the garment is to washed in the holy place only. This may indicate the baptism spoken of where our hearts are washed by the water of the Spirit and the word. But it seems here that the blood may be representative of sin and it is washed out of the garment. Also, if the blood of the sacrifice was collected in an earthen vessel, it was to be broken apart and not used again. If it was put in a brazen (metal) vessel, the metal vessel was to be ....
the blood of the sin offering is not to be consumed. If it is sprinkled upon the priests clothing, the clothig
Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You through Your Son, Jesus, and ask that You will deliver Amber from the mental illness that is affecting her life so adversely. We ask that You direct her to the doctor that will prescribe the best medicine for her to take to balance out her mental state. You alone know how our brains work and all that is involved in how our thoughts are formed. We trust You tonight to help Amber for she needs Your mercy and only You have the power to heal her. Amen.
I would like to know what others think about this topic of the faith we must have to be "in Christ".
Pantheism is a pagan belief that God is in everything and that everything is God. This belief teaches that the Universe is God, every atom is God.
Panentheism is a pagan belief that God is greater that the universe but that the universe is within God's Being.
Neither of these beliefs are a part of Christianity, since Christianity teaches that God is independent of all creation, that He is everywhere present, but not a part of everything. Christianity teaches that God is separate from creation, although creation was produced by Him. Creation is not necessary for God's existence, but God's existence is necessary for creation to exist.
Christianity teaches that God is Spirit and not material. He does not consist of matter, atoms, molecules, DNA, etc.
So from what you posted, "God is everything on the planet." Your view is outside of Christian belief and is more aligned with Pantheism which is pagan in origin.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You on account of Jesus, who won for us such a great salvation. We ask that You will bring Addie back to full health by healing her of this fever and the underlying infectious agent that is causing this symptom. Bless Addie today with comfort and sound rest. Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You tonight in the name of Jesus, who brought us to You by His saving work. We ask that You will direct the ways of Gregory as he seeks a job. We ask that You lead him to the job that is a best fit for him at this time in his life. We ask that You will open up Gregory's heart to discern Your lead and follow only after You. We ask that You will strengthen Gregory in faith and determination to live for Your glory. Amen.
You are correct, that Yoga is not mentioned or recommended in the Bible because it is a Hindu spiritual practice that goes back to ancient times. In my opinion based on my research on this practice is that Christians should not practice yoga, even if it is "Christianized" which is another term for syncretic melding of a pagan practice with Christian overlay. My doctor has recommended yoga for me, but I have turned down this recommendation each time because of what I know about the pagan underpinnings of it. There are many, many exercises one can do to strengthen their body, enhance their balance, and de-stress their body other than using yoga.
Paul needed to correct many of them at times. There are many scriptures on water baptism. Yes, it very much is needed & Jesus spoke it in red letter words in John 3:3-5. Bible says to know God & obey the gospel. Not just know the gospel but we all must obey the gospel. When the people in the book of Acts obeyed Acts 2:38, they obeyed the gospel. Then in Acts 2:39, "It is the promise to you & to your children and to those that are afar off even as many as the Lord our shall call". Obey the gospel & therefore go forward into the epistles to learn & grow in the Lord. I spoke to the Lord these words: "Lord, everyone says they have the Holy Ghost (Spirit) but they dont. How will they know"? He spoke back & his words were, "will you tell them"? Now also, In Acts 19:2, "Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be a Holy Ghost ".
I have served man these last few months by participating in the polls of my county and over taxed my flesh and am in pain from over extension of my muscles.
I ask for prayers for healing my body that I may continue to serve my GOD and KING, JESUS CHRIST. Amen
Please consider reflecting on Matthew 6:33-34, I Timothy 6:6-7, 2 Timothy 2:1, Psalm 18:1-2, Psalm 3 and Psalm 5.
Thank you very much for your insightful knowledge of Calvinism and Arminius doctrine.
Especially, for not giving a definitive praise to one or the other.
I was searching scripture, and wondering why some are so adamant for one or the other;
When scripture seems to lay it out so clearly, that God is sovereign and His words will come to pass to fulfill His prophecy and purpose, partly, through predestination of some;
I also believe, He can touch us and speak to us in various ways to guide us to Him, and gave us free will to accept or reject His word.
I agree with your explanation and It gives me more confidence in my learning,
As you know the following verse...
Acts 8:30b,31a - Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me?
Thank you and hope to have more conversations.
