Question to Sincere Bible Believers (1)

If Christ came and did away with The Law as some people teach, why were The Apostles celebrating Pentecost in Acts 1 after Christ had already ascended into Heaven ?

No dear Baker, prophesing is not teaching. There are two types of prophets in New Testament.

1. The gift of prophesing ( 1 Cor 12:7-11). A woman can have that gift and prophesy ( Acts 21:8-9). The gifts are given by the Holly Spirit. This gift has nothing to do with teaching, that is why in the next chapter ( 1 Cor 14:34) where Paul keeps talking about gifts, especially about speaking in tongues and prophesing, he forbids women to teach in the church. So prophesing has nothing to do with teaching (some churches have this specific belief).

2. The ministry of prophet ( Ephesians 4:11), which is something different from the gift of prophesing described in Corinthians. In Acts 13:1-3 in the church there are both prophets and teachers, which means they are different ministries. All ministers, Apostles, Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers, Prophets(once more teachers and prophets are separate ministries) are males, we don't see any woman in that position in the Gospels. As written it is Jesus who appoints ministers in the church (not the Holly Spirit who gives the gifts). All ministers can teach in the church, as well. ( Acts 15:32).

Please Lord guide the surgeon's hand on Kathy's sister through this major surgery. How can a person truly know they are saved before they die?

Lord Jesus please make a way, please work healing, deliverance, reconciliation and salvation in our family and beyond. Please fight our battles and I ask for strong protection and also your wisdom and Holy Spirit power and Agape love for all of us. Please glorify your holy name in our lives. May you receive all the honor and praise. Please do what I ask for us also for others in need as there is so much pain around. Thank you. Amen.

It is sad to silence women , God's Holy Spirit works through whomever God chooses it to . I know many women who understand the things in the Bible better than I do . Should I not listen to them just because they are women ? Should I not learn from them just because they are women ? What if God wants to teach me something through a woman but I say " no I can't listen to you because you are a woman " ? Should I reject God's message to me just because I don't like the messenger ? Would that not be akin to denying God's Holy Spirit ? I shall listen to God's Holy Spirit wherever I hear it . The Spirit of Truth should not be silenced . Shame on me for not listening to the message because I don't approve of the messenger .

In verse 42, had those Pharisees who loved the praise of men more than the praise of God truly been born again.

Please pray for me and my family. We are facing homelessness unless God intercedes and intervenes soon. I am keeping the faith but the circumstances seem dire. We also have two special needs children so it's overwhelming at times. Thank you.

Isnt prophesying teaching ? 1 Corinthians 11:5

I'm of the opinion 1 Timothy 2:12 is saying women should not admonish , nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. since women are easily deceived as was Eve , and not Adam in the Garden

The disturbances in 1 Corinthians 14:34 is suffice to say .

I find it absurd to think women are not to teach the Gospel , nor prophesy all throughout this dispensation of time , but then are permitted to in the end times where sons and daughters shall prophesy written of in the book of Joel 2:28 .

I just think there's something more to the word "teach" in 1 Timothy 2:12 - 15 .

Please pray for my daughter to overcome her drug addiction depression and sinful reckless behavior. Please pray for her loneliness emptiness and fears. Please pray for her physical mental and emotional pain. Please pray for her safety protection health happiness relationships finances and salvation. Please pray she will allow the Holy Spirit to guide her in life and stop her reckless behavior and that she will distance herself from people using or selling drugs or leading her astray from God. Please pray God will restore her life her relationship with her son and her beautiful smile. Please pray God will send her a godly minded husband and friends that lift her up out of depression and loneliness. Please pray she only makes contact with godly minded people that bring her closer to God. Please pray she has a personal relationship with God and excepts Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Pray in agreement with us (my fianc and I), that a situation that was not handled correctly in court that was tried by jury, bad lawyer representing him did not do the work to ensure that EXPERT witnesses were present, did not call even ONE witness for his defense, did not let him testify on his own behalf, and before trial starteda jury was picked with proper representation and then dismissed them. The jury was replaced with ELEVEN FEMALE JURORS AND ONE MALE JUROR ALONG WITH ONE FEMALE JUROR ACTING AS A POSSIBLE ALTERNATE JUROR.

THIS WAS CLEARLY NOT A FAIR REPRESENTATION OF HIS PIERS, WITH ONLY ONE MALE JUROR. He was given 2 (YES TWO) sixty (60 year sentences) at age 57!! Basically, he was given a life sentence, eligible for parole at age 97 y/o. I have spent the last 5 years praying that the will of GOD is to correct this wrong in such a manner that it's perfectly clear that nothing and NO ONE can deny that this injustice is/was corrected by no other than GOD AND GOD ALONE!! AMEN!! None of the information was kept/treated as a case in the presentation of "innocent until proven guilty"it was on the news, it was all over social media for a period of approximately 1 (one) year and was discussed at length (wrongfully and with much defamation towards his history)!! I thank you all in advance for your agreement with both of us in praying for the will of GOD to be utilized in this matter. GOD BLESS YOU ALL
