    Dear Christina,

    I will pray for you.

Dear LORD God, help bring the person who is misusing Christina's credit card to justice and put an end to this crime. We ask that all unauthorized charges to her card be rejected and that she will have no responsibility for any of these charges. We ask that all will get corrected on her account and that her credit reference will remain in good standing. We pray that the one committing this crime will be caught and not be able to do this crime on anyone anymore. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

    Dear Bob,

I understand what Jesus said about calling men Rabbi or Father. These titles were given to men and people looked to them for spiritual guidance. But I think that the point is more so that we are to look for our Heavenly Father and seek wisdom from the Holy Spirit instead of looking to these men just because they have such titles. We need to be discerning about who we choose to help us in our Christian walk.

I don't think that it is wrong for children to call their biological father "daddy" or "Dad" or "Father". Nor call one who is instructing us "Teacher" or "Rabbi". As a Kindergarten teacher I was called "teacher" often everyday when children needed help.

I think Jesus was mostly speaking about placing any human person (Rabbi, Father, teacher, mentor) in place of God and His Word or as an authority above God and His Word. The Rabbis of Jesus' day thought of themselves this way, even thinking that they were on a level to instruct God.

    Dear LeeAnn.

I am sorry this is happening to you. What a heartbreaking situation. I will pray for you and your husband today.

Dear LORD God, we come to You in the name of Jesus and ask that your redeemed this situation with Lee Ann and her husband. Please break the strongholds the enemy has placed within and around Lee Ann's husband. Bring him to repentance and a sound mind concerning how he is living. Turn him to You and have him forsake this damaging relationship that is outside of Your will. WE believe that You can restore what is broken and what has been stolen from this marriage. We seek You alone for help because You are more powerful than all the evil in this situation. Please comfort Lee Ann in this grievous situation. May she know the greatness of Your love and care for her. Amen.

    Dear Amber,

I am sorry that you are struggling with these problems. I will pray for you.

Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, rescue Amber from these OCD thoughts and hateful ideas towards You. Restore in her a right Spirit and bring her comfort and peace. LORD God, Help Amber in every way she needs Your power and care. Assure her of Your love for her, even when she feels hatred towards You. You loved us all when we were yet sinners and sent Jesus to die to bring us back to You. May knowledge of this salvation in Jesus be Amber's tonight and satisfy the aching of her soul. Amen.

Hello Anna, I will lift up this request today.

Heavenly Father, we come to You today in the name of Your Son, Jesus and ask that You will bring the truth of the Gospel of Jesus to those we know who are in church situations that do not teach the true Gospel. We ask that your Holy Spirit will enlighten these deceived people to the necessary right teaching of the faith passed down by the apostles of Jesus and His atoning work for our sins. May all of those we know who have strayed into serious error and apostasy be restored to You. We ask You, Father, to bring home the prodigals, the rebellious, those who seek satisfaction in the world instead of You. We ask that You return grown children to the faith of their youth and bless them with the powerful Word of Testimony of a believer who shares the Gospel with them once again. We ask that You put a desire in each of those we lift up today to re-seek again the true paths laid out in Your Word. We ask that You will cause them to hunger for the essentials of faith in Jesus instead of running after false teachings that do not satisfy nor bring them closer to You. LORD God, draw everyone we place before you today to You, restore them to true faith and right relationship with You, in the fellowship of Jesus Christ and the communion of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

    HI,

    - Faith camas by hearing and by hearing the word of God, you need to check what is taking your time with God what i mean is do you put other things first instead of God ?eg your Phone Tv, walks to the park Gyms and so many things.

    - what do your spend most of your time doing? make God your priority when your free.

    - we tend to run to God when we have needs rather than walk with him and when the needs comes he will help us.

    - Remember psalms 1;1 Blessed is the man who delights in the law of the lord, and this man he madidates day and night so all he wants is the word of God and God has said he will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed in him.

    - all i am saying is Put God first in your life as its written you shall love the lord your

    Deuteronomy 6:4-7

4 "Hear, O Israel: [a]The Lord our God, the Lord is one! 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength

.according to the written word of God we cant force anyone all we can do is preach then you make the choice

6 "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

(this Translation will help you to understand )

So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.

    Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

(PLEASE CALL TO GOD TAKE TIME TO PRAY ASK THE AUTHOR FOR HELP HE IS FAITHFULL ) i am a sinner just like you but its by the grace of GOD i encourage you SEEK HIM FIRST,

  • Richard H Priday on Psalms 34 - 3 years ago
Psalm 34. It seems in this Psalm from interpretations that I am reading; that Amimilech was a sort of "generic" name for the Philistine's priest; whose name was "Achish". That explains why the Abimelech mentioned to be David's ally; and someone against Saul who had given him the sword that killed Goliath some time back was probably someone else.

At any rate; David feigned madness in order to escape what he surmised as enemies that wanted him dead or imprisoned. "This poor man" in verse 6 would of course be referring to David himself.

Verse 7 gives a promise of the "angel of the Lord" encamping around the rightous; and apparently there are about 100 verses on that subject (some of which such as Joshua represent a "Christophene" or a preincarnate manifestation of Christ. Once again verse 7 and verse 11 we see benefits as in other passages for those who fear the Lord; and verse 8 discusses the "trust" issue. Verse 10 repeats the same idea in Psalm 37 on the righteous always having bread.

Verse 18 repeats the Psalm 51 idea of a "broken and contrite spirit". Verses 16 and 21 contrast the fate of the wicked to the righteous; another repeated theme in scripture overall; particularly in the O.T. Finally; verse 20 about "keeping all his bones" is prophetic to Christ on the cross shown in most detail in Psalm 22.

    Hello Amanda

You said that you have attended a religious school for 12 years but it seems you lack in the basics of Christianity. How can that be explained? What were you tought in that school? Was it a Catholic school? Sorry no offense meant, but I am just wondering
  • Giannis - In Reply - 3 years ago
Hello Duncan. I agree with you about 1. (but not that demonic you say) and 3. But let's talk about 2.

Should one pray in unknown tongues? Let's see what the Bible says about that.

Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 14:1-5

"1 - Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy

2 - For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, BUT UNTO GOD (so tongues are for speaking to God not to people): for no man understandeth him (because he talks in unknown tongues/foreign languages) ; howbeit in the spirit (so it is the Spirit who gives those tongues) he speaketh mysteries (no one understands).

3 - But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

4 - HE THAT SPEAKETH IN AN UNKNOWN TONGUE EDIFIETH HIMSELF; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

5 - I WOULD THAT YE ALL SPAKE WITH TONGUES, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret (so no one understands if there is nobody who can interprete), that the church may receive edifying"

    a. So, Paul suggests that all should speak(pray) in tongues.(verse 5).

    b. When one speaks in unknown tongues then what they say is for God, they glorify God (verse 2)

    c. It is the Spirit who gives tongues (verse 2), nobody understands (verse 2), unless there is somebody who can interprete (verse 5)

    d. The purpose that the Spirit gives tongues to somebody is for him to be edified (sanctified) (verse 4)

Some other points about tongues as well.

1 Cor 14:18 "I (Paul) thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all"

1 Cor 14:15 "What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also." So one may pray or praise with their mind (so they know what they say) or with the Spirit (so they don't know what they say)

There is more... But how about talking about prophesing?

Father, I'm asking for breakthrough and victory in the warfare that is being waged in my spiritual and personal life.

Father, please recognize my fasting and prayer and send your angels to war on my behalf just as you did with Daniel.

Father, according to Isaiah 58, I ask you to honor your word to " to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke,

to set the oppressed free and break every yoke"

Dear Jesus, I give you all the praise, all the glory and all the honor. I am nothing without you and powerless in my situation.

Precious Holy Spirit, come in your power, that power that Jesus promised to us so many years ago.

Thank you God, thank you for the opportunity to give you praise in my valley and I do so. For you are the Great King. Creator of Heaven and Earth. Holy is your Name.
