1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. 4Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
a. I do not believe in a pre or mid tribulation rapture because Christ makes it clear in Mathew 24 that he will return immediately after the great tribulation.
b. God's day of wrath does not occur during the great tribulation. The great tribulation will be a time of testing for God's people as they are persecuted for the name of Jesus Christ. This will be worse than ever before because the man of sin will have been revealed. The abomination of desolation will be standing in the holy place. Jesus said that there will be huge demonic activity at this time.
The unbelievers will be eating and drinking, marrying, and working so they are not suffering the wrath of God at this time. In fact, they are not prepared for the wrath which is to come.
The bible does not describe the great tribulation as God's wrath.
c. During the great tribulation will experience testing worse than ever before
d. "So there is no way God orders His angels to destroy, that is to "kill" His children together with the wicked world. Noway at all. My opinion. "
Gianna, I agree with you that is why the great tribulation is separate to the day of wrath.
Just like Lot was removed from Sodom by the angels on the day of destruction when God poured out his wrath on that city, so it will be that Christ will send his angels to remove his saints from earth on the day of His wrath, before pouring out his wrath on the unbelievers.
We will be taken up to be with Christ whereupon he will begin to destroy the earth along with those unbelievers who remain on the earth.
This is all made clear in Mathew 24.
Revelation is best understood in the light of the clear teaching of Christ. Peter and Paul also address the end times with great clarity.
PS the bible does not state the duration of the great tribulation. In fact Christ says that nobody knows the day or the hour He will return except the Father.
There is no reason to believe that it lasts seven years based on the scriptures.
Neither do I get that God would hate what He would redeem, for this would be to do evil that good may come, which is in direct opposition to the principle Paul established as he was guided by the Holy Spirit, that we should NOT do evil that good may come, for fear of just damnation (wrath) from God: Romans 3:8.
In regards to God hating humans, I'm certain you are aware of Malichi 1:3 which I believe Paul was referring to "As it is written" in Romans 9:13.
You stated, "I think it says that it is because of His loving kindness that He does nor destroy humans because of their sinfulness." To this I would suggest Matthew 10:28.
I'm inclined to think hate is hate just as love is love, although each can appear in different forms, which is the only thing hate and love have in common. As I've mentioned numerous times, Love can only create Itself and nothing but Itself. In the same manner, hate produces hate, meaning also that it cannot create Love. There is no compromise between the two. Actually, the two cannot even communicate with each other. We tend to think that fear as well as Love can be communicated and also be shared. Yet this this is not so real as it may appear; those who communicate fear are promoting attack, and attack always breaks communication, making communication impossible. How is it possible that God or The Prince of Peace have peace in condemnation, attack, wrath, vengeance, damnation, etc? If this is God, then what kind of unimaginable monster is the evil devil. Or if this is God, then its opposite must be Love, full of mercy, compassion, light, joy, and forgiveness?? This is simple logic.
Outside the two scriptures I mentioned about the Bible saying that God hates parts of His Creation, I'm not aware at this time where it says this anywhere else. Once is enough. Yet, there are many biblical passages in Scripture that reflect hate and darkness from God. I don't know if I will ever be able to accept this.

God Is.
I haven't been able to recap on any posts, But I do agree we are to operate in a structure,
Paul elaborates on this.
1 Timothy 2:8
1 Timothy 3.
Titus 2.
There is the universal spiritual Church and there's a place where we meet that is the Church building or field, ect ect. where we form a congregation. Paul gave instructions how we should function in those congregations "which is the church " And those congregations can be as little as 2!!
It can be done on zoom or a site the conduct remains the same.
What I was mentioning was God revealing truth through the Spirit and we receiving truth trough the spirit. "Devine Revelation" Also sanctification by the Spirit.
Now when we function as a group we function as the body with Christ being the head.
Diversity comes by lack of spiritual growth and also by tares amongst us.
Also there has always been leaven in our midst.
I believe a believer is best Identified by his fruit!
Not his/her position,
NOT how busy they seem to be.
Not leadership "appointed or self appointed"
Not their ability at all but the fruit of the Spirit. And when we function it should be the body following the head.
In this manner.
Ephesians 4:1-12
The Church started off this way in Acts 2.
But soon tares and leaven started to creep in.
However we shouldn't be dismayed by the present condition because it was spoken of by several of the inspired authors.
On another hot topic that I personally pulled out of because of lack of interest and potential tension.
I will be posting hoping for replies on ones Millennium/end times view in detail.
For instance I've seen one reply where it was said there is no interval between the 69th week and the 70th week.
They believe in a literal Millennium and the rapture is at the end of the world during judgment. And they reference Matthew 24.
It's one thing to put your "stamp of approval" on ones viewpoints its another thing to explain your own.
God bless you.
We need each other to become mature and to remain steady and true in our doctrines. My concern is that even in congregations, there is so much diversity of doctrines being promulgated, some true and some false, that even in a congregation, one can be led astray from the true revelation of God in His Word. So, I think we do need to grow together in our faith and learn what is that which was passed down by through the apostles. And we should definitely pray for discernment and knowledge of what is truly true.
Dear Father, we call out to You as we see so much evil that people are calling good and good that people are calling evil! How confusing to our young ones and those who do not know You. Please cause truth to reign in our nations, in our communities, and in our families. We know we are "the called out ones". Help us to recognize that which we are called out of and to remain free of it. But also, help us to know what to engage in and who to engage with to accomplish Your will and purpose as long as we have life in this world. Amen.
I will pray for Gianna tonight. Bless you for continuing to put her on our hearts to pray for her. she is blessed to have a fiend like you.
Dear Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name we pray, Help Gianna right now and protect her from harm from without and within herself. do not allow her to lose contact with Emily and others who care so much for her. Send the remedy she needs to overcome this troublesome mindset that has gripped her. In Jesus' name , release the hold of this mindset on Gianna and restore in her a sound mind and peaceful spirit. Keep her from running away from You. Turn her around towards You and help to see You waiting with Your arms wide open to receive her and love her like no one else can do. Father, we trust You to answer our prayers for Gianna today. Amen.
Haven't heard from You for a while.
I am aware of Romans 9 passage. Can you give me any more passages that speaks of God hating humans.
I know that He hates the wickedness in us and those who are rebellious to Him are not favored by Him. But I do not know if that means He hates these people in ways we hate. I think it says that it is because of His loving kindness that He does not destroy humans because of their sinfulness. I am not saying that God does not hate. But His aim is to redeem as many as will come to Him when the Spirit draws them with the Gospel. So I cannot seem to get that He would hate what He wishes to redeem.
I know that Romans 9 speaks of some creatures who are targets of His mercy and others who are vessels of His wrath. I am not sure if He is referring only to humans here or if He is referring to humans as objects of mercy and the fallen angels as the vessels of His wrath since the Lake of Fire was prepared before they were even created as the place for them to receive His wrath forever.
I will pray for you today.
Dear Heavenly Father, You are so great and awesome. We come to You today in the name of Jesus for Yaya and her requests. We ask that You will place her in a job that will be a good fit for her. We ask that You bless Yaya's family and life situation in tremendous ways since You truly are so amazingly wonderful! You can do all things that are good, just, and beneficial for us. So, we can trust You for our needs and desires. I pray that Yaya, and myself as well, will always remember to submit to You and grow in Your Word of Truth so that we will know what is good and right for us to do and desire. Father, You are so generous to us. We thank You for all You provide. Keep us in Your loving care and grant us peace and rest from each day's work. Amen.
Hmmm I was not aware that you had not had any responses to your posts for some time. That surprises me. I always read what you write. I like how you take a book and go right through it chapter upon chapter. I am trying to do that, too. But am very slow at it as I am only in Exodus. But that pace is what I do now. I do enjoy conversing with people on here. It helps me stay focused on what is really important, even in Christian conversations. I am learning quite a bit on here and your posts are part of this learning and growing in me. Thank you. Keep up the good work, Richard. God knows what He will do with your obedience even if you do not yet see the fruit. This idea makes me smile as I think that we do not need to depend on instant or quick results to know whether what we do from the leading of the Holy Spirit is worthwhile or not. God uses us and many times does not have anything bounce back to us for some time. But we should be satisfied that we have done what He has led us to do and leave it at that. I try to be content in whatever situation I find myself in, trusting God to bring about good from it for others and for myself as well.
I am blessed to be married to a man who believes, too. Our whole relationship from the beginning of our first date up to now (45 years later) have been as believers. He is fairly quiet and reserved. As with our 3 sons, he is introverted and I am the lone extrovert in our family though I come from a whole, big family of extroverts, mostly. Too many bossy sister, that is for sure. haha. I have learned a lot living with introverts and that has led me to be more sensitive to their needs as far as interactively and emotionally. I have needed to set aside my preferences and bents for their needs more often than not. That is a good thing. It is part of dying daily to self, I believe. I certainly am not one to insist on my one way nor to need to run the show. So, God is at work in our family. Praise to Him.
According to Scripture, God does not love everyone, which is difficult for me to grasp. I refer you to Romans 9:13. Sorry, but these are God's words.
All who are alive and remain (will) go through the tribulation, only difference is those who have the seal of God will not be touched by the Locust army,,, it is commanded by God
Who are these locusts? God's Army
Joel 2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, My great army which I sent among you.
Joel 2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
Revelation 7:2 - And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Revelation 9:3 - 7 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
9:4 And it was commanded them{locust army} that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; (but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.)
Its how I got peace when I was laid off during the shutdown and my Mother was in the hospital for 3 days and they did not tell us the problem until day 2.
God knows us better than anyone else and can help us like nobody else can.
