Please check back in an hour or more. Thank you for your patience!
Sorry but this is not a topic I care to discuss much. But I do and will if I know the person is not looking to do battle.
My msg to you wasn't about the topic. It was conduct.
As I said before it was the way you responded that moved me to respond. And yes you you did everything I said you did.
However we can move on from that.
On to the early church farthers and Darby.
When you stated
The modern view in dispensationalism as promoted by Darby and Scofield are not identical to what Polycarp and Irenaeus taught. The interpretation of Darby is what is promoted and believed by many believers today. His theory began in the 1800's.
I asked in what ways do they differ?
My reasoning for asking is I never read anything from neither! I was interested in knowing ""the accused differences"" in their Pretrib view because I believe what Brother Chris was saying is that some of the early church farthers had a Pretrib view aa well. It didn't start in the 1800's.
And you responded with several pages.
1st) I should have made myself clearer. We were discussing the pretrib rapture not the Millennium.
However I got my answer from your first page.
You said the ECF believed that the church will go through the tribulation. The DP believe that the church will not suffer any to the tribulation.
Another of many internet clippings that is argumentative and not inspired. Not to say it's wrong but I think I can trust what scripture has to say instead.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-11.
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee ""FROM THE HOUR"" of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
( Do you notice it doesn't say I will protect you from the tribulation, It says I will keep you from the "hour ).
My issue was you providing material from off the internet to correct ones view that seemed to line up with scripture. And the scripture you provided was not even scripture about the rapture.

we have to be careful not to read more into it than is already their! One thing is for sure, Jesus knew where these two animals were! Ne knew they were waiting for Him!
I absolutely agree with you. All the events described in the Book of Revelation are symbolic. Symbolic of what? We don't really know, we can make guesses. But even logical guesses may be wrong, BECAUSE we don't know the real events that are going to be. God's people through the ages have made very many guesses that all failed. Revelation is written in a way that people who are going to live at that time will relate the events taking place with what is written and can understand. Nobody can understand beforehand. I don't think God will reveal specifically to anybody (no matter how intense one prays and asks God for) the truth beforehand. He hasn't done that for centuaries to anybody, why would He do it now? Revelation is a book which is primalily written for people who will go through the great tribulation and antichrist. It is written so that they know what would be really happening and know what to expect and what they should and should not do. Also for non beleievers to believe and save their lives.
Just an example. If the mark of the beast is the bar code in a chip embedded in people, as many believe, who could have known that 50 years ago when that technology didn't exist. No matter how hard people may have tried to guess 50 years ago they could have never found out. Today we know because we relate something we see in our everyday lives ( the cashless society) with what is written and can make a good guess which seems to be right. So as the end times are getting closer and closer the more we will understand, but still I think many things will only be known during the last 7 years. So lets read the Book as God asks us to do, but this must be as far as we one must go. No vast time should be spent on trying to interprete it. It is a waste of time which could be spent to read the other parts of the Bible. There will be time when everything is going to be revealed. But I hope at that time none of us is here in this world to live during those events. GBU.
Please consider reflecting on 1 Chronicles 4: 9-10, Matthew 6:33-34, Isaiah 41: 10-13, Philippians 4, 1 Timothy 6:6-8, 2 Timothy 1:7.
I see that your mother is going through alot. It is the attack of the devil. Tell your mother to PRAY AND FIGHT in the mighty name of Jesus. You and your family keep praying and REBUKING THE DEVIL OFF OF YOUR MOTHER. Don't give up. She is already healed in the mighty name of Jesus. She got to believe that and you too. I pray that God will heal her totally in all areas in her body, mind and spirit, now in the might name of JESUS CHRIST, Amen. Freda
I agree that I think each person should find out for themselves about this matter rather than just take in what someone says on here or in any other publication or the preaching/teaching of others in such roles.
And I agree that there is so much we do not know about the early church and the leaders who wrote and spoke about many matters, eschatology included.
I am fine with bringing this discussion between us to a conclusion, but I just wanted you to know that I welcome any replies you wish to send me.
The creator has manifested himself in the image of God, for this is His creation, Man created in the likeness of Himself. "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father"! As it is written, Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; Alex N, this I know without hesitation, that the palms, would become the highlight, would be the path of His choice . A palms these beasts would see and feel under their feet, guiding the way!
Can you see Him as He gazes across the multitudes, even those who stand at a distance and still are not convinced! These little ones who have laid out the path that will lead to an empty house. A house with no one their to receive Him! Do you hear Him saying, O Jerusalem! O Jerusalem!
The picture could not be more perfect as He spends the night waiting for the morning light. He will enter His house, and then you will see the tables fly! They have turned my house into a house of merchandise! This is His house, this is His temple, A temple not made with hands, a temple made in the heavens. Can you hear His voice as He disappears over the horizon? Don't wait to long, His voice you may not hear any longer!
Repent and be Baptized

Though not mentioned, it seems likely (and this is only a personal thought, not in Scripture), that someone in the family may also have been aware of what Achan had done; it would be difficult to carry & conceal such a large booty from family, even others continually milling around his tent & in that area. He may have sworn his family to secrecy, thus drawing them also into condemnation since they did not reveal his sin to Joshua when first known. And so his family, animals, even his tent were destroyed, thereby removing every blemish of sin from their midst. This act satisfied God & He returned to bless them & gave them victory over their enemies (Joshua chapter 8), and Israel would have had another powerful lesson about having a proper fear of the LORD, that what the LORD says must be obeyed or there will be consequences.
Sadly; in Protestant circles today the proper concept of "confessing sins to one another" ( James 5:16) has been buried with the misapplication of the Catholic system and the hierarchy of church officials taking that approach toward parishioners; rather than the other way around. Before we cast stones in that direction; we need to see how well we are doing in light of Matthew 5:23.
When there is strife and envy and a brother is hardened like a city wall ( Prov. 17:14) and we are the cause it is our duty to rectify things. This is particularly true as well for a husband and wife so that their prayers won't be hindered ( 1 Peter 3:7).
It is said with the popular adage in the secular world that we are all part of creating a village (or something to that affect). The concept of the saints of Christ being a part of a victorious army should be made clearer when we see how when one member hurts all members suffer ( 1 Cor. 12). When we look at these actions as being duties rather than options; and Christ BEING our life rather than the "center" of it (which still places ourselves as the one who determines the meaning of that definition and all the other parameters as well) it helps to give us a better picture of the way things should be.
Responsibilities as laypersons.
There are correct methodologies presented by Christ Himself as well as the Apostle Paul for disciplinary action. Nonetheless; we are to judge righteously. Those who suggest we shouldn't judge lest we be judged in the same manner who are truly in the faith need to be honest. If WE are the ones expounding error we should WANT others to hold us accountable; and that also applies for our responsibility as church members in particular to point out error among leadership with themethods prescribed in scripture. How can we not be jealous for the Word of God when "damnable heresies" are sneaking in (see Jude and many admonitions by Paul)
