Dear Heavenly Father, Please make Nelson's heart grieve over his sin. Let him hate and despise it so much that he cannot stand it anymore. He wants to be free and serve You. How do you ask someone to leave your house in King James version?
  • S Spencer - In Reply on 2 Chronicles 15 - 3 years ago
    Hi Gigi.

    Part 4.

In Revelation 19:17-21 you see the parallel verse " Where the eagles gather as mentioned in

    Matthew 24:28.

No mention of the removal of saints. If the saints were raptured and everyone else cast into hell and this is the last day on earth as you presented Who's going to populate the Millennium?

In Revelation 20 you see the Millennium reign of Christ and the great white throne judgment.

Let's use Daniel 12:13 you provided to see who the elect is in these scriptures.

Daniel 12:1-2 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for THE CHILDREN OF THY PEOPLE: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time THY PEOPLE shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

    Who's Daniels people? Israel.

Who's gathered from the four corners of the earth? Israel.

    Isaiah 11:9-12.

    Ezekiel 34:11-14.

Daniel is not talking about the Church.

The tribulation will drive Israel to their Messiah.

Hosea 5:15. I will go and return to my place, TILL THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR OFFENCE, AND SEEK MY FACE: IN THEIR AFFLICTION THEY WILL SEEK ME EARLY.

Matthew 23:37-39 (KJV) O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

For I say unto you, YE SHALL NOT SEE ME HENCEFORTH, TILL YE SHALL SAY, BLESSED IS HE THAT COMETH IN THE NAME OF THE LORD.

This means when they behold him as a nation.

    God bless.

I had many troubles above with misstypes, but to clarify, I believe Catholicism and Christianity are 2 different religions. So do Catholics. I've been blessed by the loving kindness and warmth and care of those in Catholicism , and other beliefs that I think would be classified under heathenistic, also at least one Atheist, and still, at least 2 others even who I guess would be classified underneath the term witch or wizard. And I DESPISE the Devil, and a whole SLEW of his children, but I cannot deny that a tiny number havd given and shown me love and care in kindness unsolicited as well. GOD works in mysterious ways, and I hope He will all who have blessed my spirit at some point to be saved, and protected BY HIM, as love and kindness is a strong and highly valued currency!!!

Anyway, we aren't supposed to adopt ANY religious or spiritual practices that aren't originating from GOD. Catholicism and OBVIOUSLY witchcraft and wizardry, and sadly, yoga, all are things that lead humans to spiritual detriment (unclean and familiar spirits, Satan--the Devil, aka Lucifer, as such), and eternal damnation if we are to believe the Holy Bible scripture, and the testimonies of brothers and sisters whom the LORD brought out of those things.

    Hi Gigi.

    Part 3.

Again I'm not saying this researching is bad but when you build your theology off historical research you will find that there is arguments for both sides and often for several sides on every topic.

It's not the way we're prompted to study the Bible.

There's a danger you will fall in the hands of doctrines of men and traditions.

There is more to teaching the Bible than reading scripture and giving a perspective that you adopted from researching history throughout the church age because it don't cause you to understand scripture!!

It hinders spiritual growth and causes one to have a carnal approach in their display of doctrine and misuse of scripture no matter how long they study this way.

When or if one research history for "whatever" concerning doctrine, revelation of truth is always given by the Holyspirit not by the scribe.

So be sure and use convincing scriptures when you go into a debate or rebuttal saying ones view is not supported by scripture.

This is not about whether you are right or wrong because even when you are right about a matter you authenticate it by what you "believe" was taught by the early church as your reasoning. That doesn't always seal the deal when your explanation and rebuttal doesn't go into debth using scripture. It's just argumentive.

With that being said let's look into the scriptures you provided supporting the rapture coming at the second coming.

    Luke 21:27.

    Matthew 24:29-31.

    Daniel 12:13.

When dealing with Luke and Matthew "Notice who's being removed" In Matthew 24:37-39 it says "as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

Who's eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

AND KNEW NOT UNTIL THE FLOOD CAME, AND TOOK THEM ALL AWAY?

This speaks of judgment, it's not the rapture of the Church.

    This contradicts

    1 Thessalonians 5:2-9.

    see part 4.

I was cautious, because for years, I have seen people type, online, that they would be preying "to" the person that they were praying "for."

I can remember that story on the local news, and the local news had the story on their website as we. So I saw that in the comment section. It's possible thatvI've seen it on social media, but I can't recall for certain.

I noticed years ago, so seeing it again, it again, seemed strange to me. I commented because the prayer request moved my spirit in a way, so I wanted to make mention of it.

I noticed years back, when GOD started to be lower-cased, yet other proper or pronouns weren't. That's one if His names. Names are uppercased in English (pronouns, I think, but I can't recollect gir sure). Anyway, much later, I started seeing Christian commentary lowercasing GOD's name. There are many false gods, but only one GOD.

In those same Christian commentaries, the writers would capitalize other names...of humans.

The Internet is used, at times, to bring about bad change. In some religions, there may be prayer sent TO people, rather than a god. I am not sure, but I DO know of some having the belief of sending thoughts "To" people. Notice how people say we send our thoughts and prayers or our thoughts and our prayers are with.... Sounds innocuous, but it goes into heathenistic beliefs--"sending good thoughts TO a person. Some brothers and sisters were mislead into combining Catholicism with heathen religions, by the nuns who went to spread Catholicism. Many brothers and sisters here & in other beautiful countries therefore combine these things--and think it's fine. Others maybe wolves in sheep's clothing trying to INTENTIONALLY create a spiritual stumbling block for the brethren. Either way, I would not have you (all) to be ignorant, as so much subversion is done rather subtly.

    Hi Gigi.

    part 2.

We should do more studying the scripture like the Bereans for our foundation instead of research. Especially If we're going to boldly say "Scripture doesn't support that!"

Here's a portion of the mess throughout history.

In the early 4th century the Roman Emperor Constantine legalized Christianity, which up till then had been illegal in the Roman Empire. Constantine also decided that the Roman Empire was too big to govern from a single capital, Rome, so he founded another capital further east and named if after himself: Constantinople ("Constantine City"; present-day Istanbul). Soon enough, the Roman Empire started to split into two: the Western Empire, governed from Rome, with Latin as its native language, and the Eastern Empire, governed from Constantinople, with Greek as its native language.

In A.D. 476 the Western Empire collapsed, leaving only barbarian tribes, and the Pope in Rome as its spiritual head. The Eastern Roman Empire continued to flourish, with the Eastern Roman Emperor as its temporal head and the Patriarch of Constantinople as its spiritual head. In A.D. 1056 the estrangement and incomprehension (they spoke two different languages) between the Western and the Eastern Church grew so great that they excommunicated each other. Thus from A.D. 1056 until 1517 (Martin Luther) there were (at least) two Christian churches: the Roman Catholic Church in the West, with Latin as its main language, and the Eastern Orthodox Church in the East, with Greek as its main language.

Since then, of course, the Protestant Reformation has split the Western church into even more denominations; and the Eastern Church has divided into a number of more or less ethnic churches, each speaking its own language: Greek, Russian, Syrian/Lebanese, Ukrainian, Armenian, American, etc.. Only in the 20th century has the Ecumenical Movement tried to bring all these Christian denominations back at least into conversation with each other.

    Hi Gigi

    Part 1.

    You stated.

Hello Patrick, What you are identifying is "dispensationalism", and yes, IT HAS NOT BEEN TAUGHT THROUGHOUT CHURCH HISTORY. (You can search ONLINE) on the subject. You can find on the site testallthingsDOTcom articles concerning this viewpoint that introduced the pre-tribulation rapture into Christian thought in the 1800's by Irwin and Darby in Ireland. Irwin learned of it from the writings of a Jesuit priest from Spain.

Then you stated on a separate post.

IT IS TRUE THAT THERE WERE SOME IN THE EARLY CHURCH WHO BELIEVED IN A PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE.

The most consistent view in the church over the centuries was that the rapture happens on the Last Day,

( You seem to contradict yourself in your rebuttal.)

    Then you went on to say;

" as Jesus said in Luke 21:27; Matthew 24:29-31. Even Daniel was told that he would arise on the Last Day in Daniel 12:13." Let's set that aside for now.

I believe scripture supports this and the early Church taught this throughout history; "as you seem to acknowledge to some degree."

Where part of the issue is during the reformation their wasn't much focus on eschatology. Their focus was on Justification. "And by the way they done a great job on that,"

But some accused the jews for the crucifixion even though Christ said for this purpose he came into the world.

    Here's the issue.

There's some value in areas to research what the church believed throughout the centuries but when you leave off from studying the Bible and you use history to settle a debate you don't fall on solid ground.

That may work in our academic school system on history but not so well when studying the Bible, Especially when you have the same bible they had in your midst and the Holyspirit doing the teaching.

This method doesn't qualify one as a teacher but an historian.

Martin Luther protested for Justification by faith in the early 1500's. before then what was widely taught? Is it good to hold those diverse views?

    I don't know circumstance's, but for what it's worth,

God is a divorcee,,, I find nothing in Titus 1 disqualifying one of their leadership...

1 Timothy 3:4 Is about subjecting one's children to honesty.

5 is in regard to discipline within one's house, does not pertain to controlling kids outside.

12 The deacons, which are the helpers of the Bishop, not hindrance, Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife; widower's, and divorcees, are still one or none.

Jeremiah 3:8 God is a divorcee, and if God is a divorcee and cannot serve as a leader ? don't buy it

Romans 11 God's gifts are given without repentance,,, if God gives one the gift of leadership, it's given without repentance.

    for what it's worth;

    HI Gigi.

You stated "the modern view in dispensationalism as promoted by Darby and Scofield are not identical to what Polycarp and Irenaeus taught. The interpretation of Darby is what is promoted and believed by many believers today. His theory began in the 1800's.

In what ways do they differ?

    Thanks in advance.

I will pray for you Patryk.

Heavenly Father, I lift up Patryk to You int he name of Your Son, Jesus. You have ran to Patryk and are embracing him now in Your love and mercy. Your love for Him is beyond measure and Your power to draw prodigals back to You is unthwartable. We thank You today for bringing Patryk back to You and Your Son Jesus in faith. We thank the Holy Spirit for working within Patryk to renew him and create the faith he now has by Your overflowing grace. We ask You today to bring to Patryk the assurance of salvation that comes to all believers now matter if prodigals returning, babes in Christ or those who have walked long with you. Cause Patryk to now the security that comes from being indwelt by Your Holy Spirit. Cause Patryk to have wisdom and understanding as he reads and studies Your Word. Place him in fellowship with other solid believers so he can grow within the body of Your Son, Jesus to full maturity. We ask, Father, that you fill Patryk to overflowing with with power to walk your way by the Holy Spirit. We are so glad to have Patryk with us. We are rejoicing with You over him tonight. Amen.

Hi Tami. Did you mean to write, Haman? If so, then we see from Esther 3:1 that he was an Agagite, i.e. he was a descendant of Agag, king of the Amalekites. He was a prominent person in the court of King Ahasuerus of the Persian kingdom, but after the execution of the king's chamberlains, Ahasuerus decided to promote Haman to the highest level, even above his other princes (leaders, overlords). But as you read this account in this Book of Esther, you will learn how evil this man was, ultimately leading to his downfall from his lofty position & to his execution.

I think I know what this is about, I get it : You initially related the individual to believer, and Christian which would make them not individual after all, only individual to your congregation, otherwise you have used non-believers, which changes the perspective.

Many times if you're not careful A church can pass over a very well qualified individual to serve as an Elder or a Bishop, simply because they do not understand God's Word. Luke!

JESUS SAID IF A MAN LOVE ME AND KEEP MY WORD WE WILL COME UNTO HIM AND MAKE OUR ABIDING PLACES BESIDE HIM
  • Giannis - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Hi Luke

I will reverse your question and ask you that. Are you implying that the Spirit gives His spiritual gifts and annoints ministers outside the church, to also work outside the church? What for? To teach on the streets to the world? (And then what? What are they supposed to ask new believers to do? To go to a church or stay alone? Or leave it to people to decide?) The people who teach on the streets are evangelists and apostles and still they belong to a congregation, they are not astray, they have a basis where they belong and where they start their work from. And their purpose is to make people believe in Jesus and integrate them in the Body of Christ, the Church. Have you seen in the Book of Acts, christians stay and work as individuals? Has Paul suggested that to anybody? Wherever he went he established churches and his letters were directed to churches

I understand that the problem nowadays is that that there isn't a unique church (as an oganization) as in the early times. There are many, having all sort of differnet beliefs. But still I think one can find a church that is very close to what they consider is a right church and avoid the "strange" ones. I think we must integrate ourselves in a congregation, not only for the teaching but for the support and communion as well. If that is not practically possible, then OK. We could find other ways to "be" in the church. Example, my church (also others) has a radio station and broadcasts 24 hours a day, teachings and hymns. On the internet as well. We often meet on zoom to teach, talk, pray together. Those are very useful for elderly who cannot go to the congregation. That zoom thing started due to covid but still many believers keep communicating that way. We can surly find a way to be with other christians. like say this site. But the problem with this site is that there are different beliefs that often confuse people especially new christians. And it is not a church. But still it is very helpful.

    Hello Henry.

I thought I saw a post of yours to me a few hours ago but I cannot find it now(?)

Anyway you asked why a church servant has to resign if a member of his family leaves the faith. Is he responsible for that?

Let's see what are the requirements for somebody to become an elder or a deacon (also a pastor since a pastor is selected from the body of elders).

Titus 1:5-9 "For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain ELDERS in every city, as I had appointed thee:If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, HAVING FAITHFUL CHILDREN not accused of riot or unruly. For a BISHOP must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers."

As we see an elder is also called bishop in the early church.

Also in 1 Timothy 3:1-7. Pay attention to verses 4-5 "One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?"

For deacons 1 Timothy 8-13. Verse 12 "Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well."

We see that God places on elders and deacons the responsibility for the faith and the right governing of their house.

Another requirement is that they have to be husband of one wife. That means that if their wifes die they have to resign since they can not keep their ministry if they get married again.

The procedure in my church in such cases is that if our children for any reason leave the faith we wait for sometime (not specified) to return. But if after a reasonable amount of time they don't, then the church servants have to quit their ministry.

I also want to say, it is very sad, what some in the government do. I am not interested in trying anymore, because Satan's children (in government or not) are allowed to do so much, to make the world a worse off place. Long ago, the Reverend, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was followed around (as a non-violent, USA citizen, and leadercof change...or face of a movement of morality, as an entire portion of the USA was being persecuted&bullied JUST because they could tan pretty easily, without the aid of tan cream. As a Christian pastor, he lead a large flock to WWJD in the face of said unjust persecution. For trying to make his country a better place for all, the standing FBI director at the time tapped his phones and had him followed. Today, had Dr. King said that his smartphone was being tracked, and eavesdropped upon, he would have been called a lunatic or a conspiracy theorist or both.

No matter HOW many times, our government has been caught using tax payer resources to abuse their access to citizens of THIS beautiful country, or OTHERS--the resounding (and deceitful) sentiment of the day is "trust the government!" Any who question ANY government action (whether past or present) is deemed paranoid, mentally ill-equipped to discern reality from fiction, etc, and We, the People are not only told, but taught and ENCOURAGED (with vigor) to lambast, mock, and discount every remaining word said seers speak!

All who have 2 (or less) eyes to see, and 1 (or more) ears to hear are deemed "enemy combatants" and with Wisdom to discern that they saw and that they heard are counted as "terrorists!" Who knew (surely someone WISE from yesteryear), that patriotism and love for GOD and Man, could render you a THREAT...by your fellow AMERICAN!!?!!
