We are not speaking of baptism being required for salvation here. We are talking about obeying what is commanded of us by our Lord ( Matthew 28:19). Paul was baptized. He recalls being so in Acts 22:16. No where does it say that Paul no longer instructed new believers to be baptized. It just says that he did not baptize many in the community of Corinth ( 1 Corinthians 1:14-17) because there were divisions in this community with people pridefully boasting about who baptized them. Paul avoided entering into this mess by not baptizing in that community. But he does say he was sent to preach and not to baptize. This does not mean that believers were not baptized. They were, but not by Paul. Other elders or pastors did the baptizing after Paul's preaching.
But this does not have anything to do with Pamela's question. She is desiring to be baptized and no one should discourage her from doing so. Paul never discouraged anyone to be baptized and also he was baptized and instructed believers to follow his example as well as that of our Lord Jesus.
I have heard your viewpoint often here on this sight about Paul superseding Jesus instructions about baptism by claiming that Jesus was teaching only to Jews and Paul was teaching to Gentiles. I firmly disagree with this viewpoint as it is not explicitly taught in Scripture and has not been the practice of the Church throughout the centuries. It is a fairly new doctrine that grew out of the Pentecostal movement.
Jews and Gentiles are all one body in Jesus Christ and the teachings of Jesus are for Jews and Gentiles and the teachings of Paul are for Jews and Gentiles. Jesus Christ is not divided, as Paul says in the Corinthian passage. We need to not divide the ultimate revelation of God to humanity into one for the Jews and a different one for the Gentiles. I think that that is grave error.
If Pamela desires to be baptized, then no one should discourage her. It was never discouraged for believers in the Bible.
God has sent angels to bring messages to men. There are accounts of this occurring throughout the history recorded in the Bible.
But in Hebrews 1:2 it says that in these last days, God has spoken to us through His Son, Jesus. And the Gospels record His life and words as the Holy Spirit led them to record for us. The Epistles are from the apostles.
It is certainly possible that God could send an angel to someone with a message, as in the book of Revelations, John was visited by Jesus and angels, but history since then does not record this occurring often (if at all) with a holy angel. But the Scriptures do say that Satan reveals himself as an angel of light. And I think that most occurrences of a visit by and angel is just this-Satan visiting someone pretending to be a holy angel with a message from God. However, these messages are not from God and full of false ideas. For example, I would include the angel that visited Mohammed or Joseph Smith or some of the Montanists in the early centuries as a fallen angel, not a holy one.
Then again, Peter tells us in his epistle to be hospitable because we could very likely be entertaining angels unaware (because they look like humans when visiting us).
My best advice to you Ronnie is to not seek encounters with angels or any other spirit being or deceased person. This usually leads to demonic influences and serious error in one's thoughts of God, the work of Jesus Christ on our behalf, and the Person and work of the Holy Spirit because the angels are ungodly and seek to give you false views of the Godhead to lead one astray.
So, stick with the Scriptures guided by the Holy Spirit, walking with Jesus daily, and giving praise and honor to our Heavenly Father. We really do not need any more revelation today other than what Jesus has revealed in Himself and the Scriptures.
But, like I said, it cannot be totally ruled out because we do not know what God has determined to occur in our lives and history yet.
We must know these promises, God wants us to,, He actually wants you to know them, and talk to Him about them, He say's remind Me of these promises,,, this way these promises (become Real to you) we mustn't rob ourselves of talking to Him about them.
And when the pastor walked up to the podium he picked up a telephone and
Said he was listening to what God wanted Him to teach, funny thing was he
Never opened the bible so you tell me. You can't make this stuff up. P.S.
Never went back no profit.
What to say when to say it how to say it and who to say it to also according
To 2 Peter 1:1-8. Through the knowledge of God and Jesus Christ is everything
Needed for life and Godliness why would we need an angel to help us teach.
Now I'm aware of guardian angels probably had one myself before born again
But I don't see biblically what your saying. Just sharing also sorry I wasn't
Clearer.
Messengers and man were built with freedom of will because God wants
To be loved honestly not by control. So in the beginning by pride Lucifers
Sin was rebellion based on pride against the creator God. That,'s when he
Became Satan or the devil and was cast down from heaven to earth. He
Is the one that as Jesus Christ said in John 10:9 The thief cometh not but
To steal kill and destroy that's the adversaries mode of operation. He is
God of this world 2 Corinthians 4:4, now in contrast to that when we got
Born again the enemy no longer has any authority over a standing believer
Claiming and walking as a Son of the most High God. So when you think
On those things he's nothing as we walk via the spirit untouchable!
Doing things in the law when Pauls ministry started he taught salvation in
Jesus Christ not John's ministry then ask if they received the spirit and if
Not ministered to them. No where in the church Epistles are we instructed
That water baptism is absolutely needed for salvation, but receiving the spirit
Is. That is not saying I'm apposed to water baptism I don't see it ad required
Because that would be works not grace.
Thank you for praying for me and with me. Amen. God bless you
Thank you so much for praying for me and with me. I come into agreement with your prayer in the name of Jesus, Amen. God bless you

You have legitimate questions. According to the Bible, apparently God was the Source of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Genesis 2:9, giving one the impression evil existed at, or before the creation of man. So, who is the author of evil/darkness growing from the same tree which produces the knowledge of good, Whom we know God is the Author?
I find it interesting all the plants and animals God created according to Genesis reproduced their own kind, yet the tree in question produces TWO completely opposing foods/forces, which in reality cannot coexist. Just as in darkness and light, evil and good cannot coexist in the same mind as truth, without that mind being confused, i.e. literal insanity. Can God be the author of evil as well as good? If so, what then, can we credit Satan being the author of? Is the tree of knowledge of good and evil the first introduction to mankind the concept of dualism?
Love/Creation created you with the free will to choose what to have faith in; good or evil, light or darkness, holiness or sin, etc. Because of that, we can freely choose to believe in both or choose one or the other. Yet what we choose has no effect on truth; what exists, Who God is. Personally, I believe God is not the author of evil/fear. I am. I have chosen to think unlike Him and therefore made up all fear for myself.
Something else to consider: If you could create a mind with a free will, would you defeat your purpose by placing commands, demands, threats of doom and make bargains with it?
Yes, Amen! God always keeps His promises. John 5:15 says, "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:"
That's a factual statement. He hears us. God will answer every prayer that is asked when we ask for His will to be done, guaranteed!
So, we can have complete confidence that if we ask for God's will to be done in whatever it is we are asking Him for, the promise is that He hears us, and He will answer that prayer if it's asked according to His will. Sometimes the answer is not what we expect, but we can be satisfied that our prayer was answered, and it was answered according to His will which is always going to be perfect!
Some of us will learn of it in a special place.
A place outside the doors of a church building, outside the confines of those who have the perceived knowledge.
This grace that can only come from above!
A grace so profound, with no bounds ,no rules, with only undeserved love!
If you know Him, this person will teach you all things. He will bring all things to remembrance. He shall show you everything in the moment of time!
This one that cannot be seen, is here and everywhere at one time!
This is the spirit that moved upon the face of the deep!
It is the one that came upon them , as they waited for the promise of His coming!
This is the one that speaks even now through the sinners voice!
Can you hear Him?
If so you are receiving undeserved GRACE!
Repent and be Baptized
Karen in order to plz God..We have to birth a Baby Christ...Thats y he always refered to himself as the SON OF MAN...Mankind needs a New HEART and a new spirit in order to plz God via hearing Jesus words/ seeds ...Thus the contents of the Book...Thats y The Woman is giving birth, She has heard his voice the words of God...The seeds of the bridegroom..Thus the manchild, a baby Christ...That Child of Promise...As Jesus said the Good seed are the Children of the Kingdom..which are The babes and sucklings an Israel of God...That is gonna be born in us sinners..Whosoever receiveth one such Child in my name receives ME. Given ability to know what's operating and what to do about it. It is not
Natural ability it is spiritual knowledge and not a guessing game. A familiar
Spirit is one that knew what someone was like when they were living in the bible
The which of endor by a devil spirit brought up the likeness of Samuel the prophet.
This was a familiar spirit and the reason why the enemy did this was because
God was not talking to Saul the king because he was spiritually corrupt to Saul
Went to a witch, for information tells you how far out He was. Another example
My wife had a friend who's father died and sometime later she saw him in her
House sitting in a rocking chair, it put a ton of fear in her. God is not the author
Of fear first clue and what was the purpose of doing that. Most people even
Christian's don't believe this field and what's been taught is pretty much off
The wall. Just remember the wisdom from above James 3:17.
Thank you for your prayers.
God Bless!

There is another lesson also to be learnt from that story. Don't be in a hurry to make promises to God because you may find youself in a position to not be able to keep them. Don't say big words like Peter who said that he would never let Jesus down, he did let Him down at the end.
