Blackfoot. That problem you cannot get away from the corruption of the world reason is if the clothing

You wear was made in a sweat shop in china corrupt if you buy groceries from a chain who,'s family is involved in witchcraft it's corrupt. That:s why when we receive

Things from God they are blessed because of what was done by Jesus Christ.

In Gospel of John 1:29 John the Baptist proclaimed behold the lamb of God which

Taketh away the sin of the world meaning Jesus Christ sacrifice paid for all of

What sin or broken fellowship produces. That's why when we receive things with

Thanksgiving it's covered by grace. He paid for what we do not know but if you

Know the source whole different situation covered in Romans Chapter 14.

David. Absolutely correct in our spirit when born again we can't sin but in the mind and flesh we can Romans 7:14-24. The context of John is the spirit not sinning

    Because it is perfect.
  • Henry - In Reply - 2 years ago
Anna when you read 1 Corinthians 11: 1-15 the end of this context is verse 16

We have no such customs in the church of God why because that's works of the

Flesh and judging by the flesh we are to walk by the spirit and let God be the judge

    And work in people's hearts.

Mark 10:40 But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand (is not mine) to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.

John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as WE are.

It's the (Caught up) to meet Him tis the part am referring to in which many misinterpret, it's good to see You don't, and it's good to know U, don't, Honey.

I could be way of the mark here so please forgive me if I am . I had always believed that if a man , hired out a woman , who he had power over such as his daughter etc , as a prostitute , and then took the money that was made by her prostitution and offered it to God , that money would be unclean or ill gotten gains and unacceptable to God . Many women who are prostitutes give their earnings to a man who is controlling them , even nowadays but I'm guessing it was worse in olden times when a lot of women were not even protected under the laws of their own society in which they lived . A dog is an unclean animal and not acceptable as a sacrifice to God , so say you wanted to offer a sacrifice to God but had no money , if you were to catch a wild dog ( or any other unclean animal ) and sell it to someone and then bring that money as an offering to God that money would be unclean . I think it's about offering money that was come by in an unclean therefore unacceptable way to God . This scripture can be applied to us in modern times I think . Money that was come by in an illegal or unclean way , is not acceptable to God .

Hi Emmanuel. During Jesus' days on Earth, there were three Herods: Herod the Great, Herod Archelaus, & Herod Antipas.

Herod the Great (73 B.C. to 4 B.C.) was not a Jew - his father an Idumean and his mother Arabian. The Roman government had made him king of Judea in 40 B.C. Although Herod was a great builder (including his extension of the temple) and had been occasionally generous to the Jewish people, he eventually lost favour with them. His mixed lineage with his Edomite blood would have made him unacceptable to the people & he would have been looked upon as they did with the Romans.

Archelaus was his eldest son who ruled over Judea, Samaria & Idumea, but his other son, Antipas, ruled over Galilee.

Ecclesiasticus is considered an apocryphal book and is not found in most Bibles today. If you want to look into this book, you can click on the "More" tab on these pages & find it listed there under "King James Bible Apocrypha".

Dear Dawn, no matter what happens, the most important thing for you to do is be born again, because NOTHING else matters. Rich people with everything or poor people with nothing with go to hell without Jesus.

    To be born again:

"As it is written, 'There is none righteous, no, not one.'" ( Romans 3:10)

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." ( Romans 3:23)

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." ( Romans 6:23)

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." ( Romans 5:8)

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." ( Romans 10:13)

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:9-13

Don't hesitate to ask Jesus to forgive you, repent of your sins--that is, turn away from delibertly commiting sin. And be baptised to show publicly that you have been born again.

Dear Linda, devote yourself to God, and He will give you peace and joy.

Proverbs 12:25 "Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad." In other words, anxiety about your lonely plight is causing you to be depressed and thus lack joy. I challenge you to devote yourself to the Lord first, and then to others--your neighbors and church members, visit those in the hospital, and even make moves to restore your relationship with your children. Make an effort to be happy, and joy will be yours.

    Matthew 11:28-30

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The centurion is won for the benefit of Caesar. Our centurion is in Capernaum, viewed by many as a benevolent man. He has authority, given from Rome. Watching this little town off the coast of Galilee.

Authority seen and understood without question, and as such in this appointment, one must keep himself in all ways, a representative of such power! Directing and keeping the peace!

He would be no stranger of the upheavals, and recklessness of man, the false perceptions that would create the next rumor.

He is what we would call a tough guy! A "precinct captain" perhaps? One who knows the ropes, knows who to rely on, and who not to rely on! While, knowing the significance of His power, and the heart of such power!

He knew the Jews, and He would indeed become the instrument of God to prove the power of God, in and through this man called Christ! The Savior of the world, the prophesied one!

The centurion knew who Jesus was and is. He knew His authority! Authority given from God!

This centurion's faith would shine from His doorway, he would reveal before this little town, who He was! Be assured everyone who knew the centurion would hear His words "speak the word only and my servant shall be healed"!

The power that is given, is given to those who believe. A faith from the heart, a heart that knows Jesus will do as you ask! A power that is from above and not beneath. Holy pure love, for the world to see! Can you see His authority?

Do you see Him standing at the end of your path?

Are you convicted or conflicted! The words you hear, are they rumors, or the truth? Is this the one, the Christ!

Is This One, who will do as you ask.

    Repent and be Baptized

Brenda good question....But we must remember what Jesus said in John 10:29....My Father that gave them me is GREATER THEN ALL and NO MAN is able to pluck them out of my FATHER HANDS....While we were yet sinners Christ died for us...WE are not our own...We were all bought with a price...His blood of that New Covenant....In Rev. 5 there is a book that Jesus wrote with his own blood of a New Covenant....And His Blood is not eraseable....Thats y Roman 8 is saying there is therefore no condemnation to them in Christ Jesus....Even in the O.T....Once the Blood was applied to the mercy seat it cd not be erased or washed away for 1 yr it was an annual thing.... but now under this NEW Covenant its for all the world for eternity

.....We are bornagain by his LIVING WORDS...And Jesus said heaven and earth will pass away but MY WORDS WILL NEVA PASSAWAY....Our conduct does not keep us simply b/c of Satan and his Tares makes us do things we donot consent unto....As Paul said if i do something i do not consent unto its not i that does it but sin that dwells in my Members.. Romans 7:6 kjv....Thus Satan will tell you O YOU HAVE SINNED THUS YOUR NAME IS BLOTTED OUT OF HIS BOOK...But thats not true simply b/c there is no condemnation to them in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit...

There is no man that is stronger then God Almighty God including the devil ....And Jesus said my Father that gave them to me is greater then all and no man can pluck them out of my FATHERS HANDS....PERIOD....Thus Jesus will not lose any of his sheep

I'm begging God to heal my heart. I have a severely leaking mitral valve, and am facing open heart surgery to replace it. This would potentially cause me to have to make lifestyle changes, such as career choice, and also the ability to have children someday. I'm on 28. I'm asking God for a miracle, and I know He can do it

I think you are right about the past . An elderly sister once said to me " give your burdens to Jesus and remember , once you give him something you can take it back . He will carry it for you so you can forget about it and move on .' It's good advice I think .

Honey , don't let anyone steal your joy in the Lord , he is coming and you shall see him and be with him forever . God has made many beautiful promises to us and we shall be like him , this means you and me . I agree Revelation Ch 21 and 22 always cheer me up when this world is dragging me down . Rejoice in the Truth and in your Saviour . Nothing in this life can touch you if you keep your eyes on Him .

Homosexuality is considered a capital offence in the eyes of God. This is written rather plainly. Jesus teaches repentance, not acceptance. If one would turn from their ways, then welcome arms and love are prescribed. This is, with any, and all, offences, within the community, outside of capital offences. As we saw on the cross, forgiveness in repentance is attainable, but there is also accountability, as our God is just. "Have no pity", He said, of those convicted of capital offenses. We tend to miss the mark with regards to respect, honor, and responsibility. You can't have responsibility without accountability. We've left "Right, Wrong, Good, Bad, Clean, and Unclean", to instead, compromise the message that we should "strive to enter into the straight gate". Be perfect, even as your heavenly Father is perfect, we are told. Thanks be to God, through His son, Jesus Christ, we have His grace, His help, and the power of His Holy Spirit, to continue making the changes in us, through the dying of self, that He might live through us. All must be done in faith, and faith without works is dead. Ultimately, death is being separated from God, for sin cannot exist in God's presence. This is our goal, to enter in. We were bought with a price. We are not our own. As for the gambling reference, I think it had something to do with betting on dog races. Here, it is a far stretch. More meant to confuse the issue and misdirect attention, which is the evil one's biggest tactics. Thanks to all that have responded.

There was a 2nd influx Genesis 6:4 There were Nephilim in the earth in the days of Noah; (after) their destruction by the Flood, as well as (before) it, when the angels came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

The new wine vs the old, is echoed here in Heb 11:39-40

39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made complete.

"some better thing" is a vast understatement.

  • Luke - In Reply - 2 years ago
No, the object is to be covered with Jesus Christ for He is the Head of Man

1 Corinthians 11:1 Become ye imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.

2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things(teachings of Christ), and hold fast the traditions, as I delivered them to you.

3 But I desire that you should know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the wife is the husband; and the head of Christ is God.

Keep nothing but Christ over your Head, upon the Head.

Many were not covered, and not holding fast the traditions of Jesus in the days of Noah whereby they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage unto the fallen angels Matthew 24:38

Yes, Luke! Satan WILL appear before Christ comes. The brightness of Christ's coming is what will bring his domination to an end, at least for a thousand years, when we will dwell with Christ without his influence.

    Hi Pander Rue,

"on Matthew 25:34 So Jesus recommends usury? Considering that he drove the money lenders from The Temple with knotted cords I consider this to be Apocryphal."

Thanks for your comments on this platform. May I ask for a clarification of what you meant by "...I consider this to be Apocryphal." Thank you very much.
