The Lamb. God's Word alone reveals who He is and His word makes known

Christ the Son of the most High God. I would not look for signs I would look to

God's Word and Jesus Christ and confess Romans 10:9+10 and not depend on

Portals or dreams or visions Unless they can be lined up with scripture and

Glorify God and bless you and there is no confusion in it. Where there is confusion

    There is every evil work.

Gloria , I don't judge you either . I have Christian friends who gamble and more than once they have won just the right amount of money that they really needed . Please don't think that I judge you , we have a lot of liberty in Christ . I happen to be the kind of person who often finds money in the street , I've gone through some lean times in my life and so many times I found money just when I've needed it , thanks be to God . Just the other day , there was a young man walking slightly in front of me , he looked a little down and out let's put it that way . He stopped and sat on a wall and I walked right past him . Less than thirty seconds later on the path I found a ten dollar bill . I am financially ok at the moment and my first thought was that if the young man had just kept walking in front of me he would have found the ten dollars not me . I just knew that money was meant for him . So I picked it up turned around walked back and gave it to him . God will give us what we need , He knows each of us perfectly and He knows how to take care of us . May He continually provide generously for you and your loved ones by whatever means He sees fit .

Noah. Confess the saviour from sin Jesus Christ then confess Romans 10:9+10 and believe it in your heart and read God's Word daily. I prefer Romans thru

Thessalonians and the gospels but your choice it's all God's Word.

Hiya Dere Gbu....Dere salvation is for everybody...According to the New Covenant Jeremiah 31:34....I will KNOW them all from the least to the greatest thats everybody...And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more...And this New Covenant is what Jesus accomplished at Calvary....in his blood....And Isaiah 11 saw all the world coming under this New Covenant....He says that KNOWLEDGE shall cover the earth as the waters cover the Seas....This knowledge is a spritual intimacy that results in a birth of Christ in everybody....Thats y Jeremiah saw all men in travail and birth pains...Thats y Jesus said if i be lifted up ( his blood of that New Covenant) I will draw all men unto me...There is a book in the right hand of the father that Jesus wrote with his own Blood...When that book is opened it gonna result in a Spritual pregnancy for all men....Thats y the woman n Rev. 12:5 is giving birth to the child that is gonna rule all nations...This intimacy KNOWLEDGE is gonna be to everyman....I will KNOW THEM ALL from the least to the greatest...Thats everybody....Thats y Isaiah 65 :1 is saying...I was found of them that sought me not i was made manifest to them that asked not after me....Everybody is gona get it...When we were yet sinners Jesus died for all of us....We are all bought and paid for by his blood...Everybody....At the CROSS we were all redeemed by the blood of the lamb....Behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world...period

.....Thats y God told Peter what i have made CLEAN ( BY THE blood of Jesus )...donot call common or unclean....( by commanding water baptism for the remission of sins).....AT the Cross that New Covenant in his BLOOD all sins were paid for...He is gonna pour out of his spirit on all flesh....Thats everybody...The old covenant many were called few chosen..but the New Covenant is all Inclusive....i will know them ALL from the least to the Greatest..In Adam we all die but in CHRIST WE WILL ALL LIVE...

Personally , I believe that the angels were created by God before He created Adam and Eve . Adam was made in the image of God , I believe God is masculine and doesn't have a feminine counterpart . God created Eve to be a complimentary partner for Adam . God and His angels don't need a partner . Women were created as partners for men . It doesn't bother me what gender angels are , in Christ we are one , there is no male or female . Angels do not biologically procreate . Also , we can be angels to each other , as men or women , God can use us to deliver His message or give practical help to others whichever gender we are . I'm a single woman so no human male has any direct power over me , my pops is dead . God and Jesus are my bosses and I'm very glad they are . Most of the time in this world I would definately identify myself as a feminist , however God is my life , my breath , my peace , my strength and my comfort . Without His love and mercy I'm done for . Christ is my sinless redeemer . I'm very happy to say that they are in charge of me and I'm also happy to be unmarried in this world .

2Pet. 3:10; the elements shall melt with fervent heat = These "elements" consist of the physical substances and materials of the universe from the largest building blocks to the smallest sub-atomic particles.

This expression proves more sinister than just describing intense heat that destroys. It also describes the elements breaking out into fiery heat similar to a spontaneous combustion.

Think of a person who suffers from an internal bodily fever, of which if left unchecked, untreated, and unabated, that sufferer will surely die.

Note, Apostle Peter did not identify the source of origin that results in this "fervent heat". From where, or from what does this heat generate? The description seems to suggest this heat builds up from an internal fever within the created physical elements which breaks out into a wild fire.

This is all very plausible, for GOD created all things consisting of molecules and atoms. Atoms constantly move, and their movement generates heat. The faster atoms move, the more intense the heat.

Such is the plan The LORD (v.9) has in store for the present heavens, elements, the earth, and all the works.

    Hello Henry,

Thank you for sharing that. Yes, a need was met. Their debt was paid. I really cannot comment much on this other than to say that if God's Spirit persuaded them to place a wager to pay off a debt, and they obeyed that persuasion, then they did the right thing.

What I am seeing is that they had a need. They were in debt and they needed money to pay off their debt. I do like and agree with your previous post where you said "Here's the question if we are to believe God to supply all our needs through Jesus Christ then why gamble because God does not work by chance."

So, I must wonder, was there any other way they could have gotten themselves out of debt, other than gambling or placing a wager? Like you said, "Why gamble?" Then again, if that was the means God used to supply their need, then I have to say all is well.

There are so many ways we can look at the issue of gambling. But I think it all boils down to one thing. Is the Lord putting it on a person's heart to gamble? Is this something He would lead a believer to do? Adam has shared a link with several pieces of scripture which I do appreciate. I read through those verses shared and could not help but notice the word covetousness. To covet means to want more than you have, more than what the Lord has provided.

I think covetousness is sinful. So, why would someone want to gamble with their money? Is it because they want more money than what they have? I have gambled in the past. I gambled because I wanted more money than what I had. Was I not satisfied with what the Lord had given me? Could I have considered my gambling as a form of covetousness? By the definition, I would say yes. I gambled because I wanted more money. Isn't this the reason why anyone would gamble with their money? Was I being a good steward with what God gave me when I was gambling what He has provided me away?

Again, thanks for what you have shared. God Bless!

    Brother Brian,

I am one of those newly born again Christian (just a baby Christian idiomatically speaking) and God has blessed me greatly. Today I want to help you also to the best that I can. I think your concern correlates to a very wonderful scripture in the Bible where it is obvious that Jesus really wants us to be specific in our prayers: see this verse:

    Matthew 20:30-34 (KJV)

30 And behold , two blind mem sitting by the way side when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out saying, Have mercy on us O, Lord, thou son of David.

31 And the multitude rebuked them

because they should hold their peace; but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O, Lord, thou son of David.

32 And Jesus stood still. and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?

33 They say unto Him, Lord, that our eyes may be open

34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

I'll tell you: this week I have been desperately reaching out to Jesus in spirit, literally talking to him like a child to a father in my secret place , telling him everything ( what I feel, what I am worried about, what am anxious about, what I hate.. who I hate and then I repented... and so on.. I hide nothing because he knows my heart better than I. and I ask Him in detail all about this request.. to solve this problem that I thought almost insurmountable. HE JUST ANSWERED MY PRAYER LAST NIGHT. now I am so grateful and so free .. )

And also this verse I think will help : Philippians 4: 6-7

    Praying for you too!

Lord please empower us for this hour. The enemy is raging but I ask that you fight for us Lord. Protect us, guide us, strengthen us. Send deliverance where there is bondage, send the anointing that breaks the yoke, save those who are lost in our families and beyond, heal those who are sick (emotionally, physically, spiritually). Encourage those who are discouraged. Give us victory in our trials. Glorify your mighty name Lord. May we spread the fragrance of the knowledge of you to a dying world like never before. Thank you Father. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

    E. Phillipians first four verses start with Al the saints that's us in Christ Jesus

Then he talks about the fellowship in the gospel or like!indeed notice verse 9

The things he's talking about deal with the mind and heart increasing in their

Walk then he's dealing with in verses 15-17 the way in which the gospel is

Preached i.e. love of God via the spirit or the senses. His bottom line was Christ

Is preached, in the church of Phillipi there were different attitudes of thought

I.E. egos and natural practices being exhibited not walking in pure love.

Thank you for answering my question. Yes my husband and son won some money and continue to do so because we have some great needs. I do not work myself and was in the hospital for three weeks with pnuemona and my husband had to look after me over 6 weeks with no pay. I truly believe that the Lord look after our needs and He sure looked after me in the hospital I was close to death and my Sovereign Lord sure took care of me surrounded by precious people bragging I've had all my shots and boosters and I haven't. The precious Holy Spirit gave me the words to say to the doctor and he never pushed anything on me to God be the glory. I'm sorry to go typing on but I want to thank you for your comment and not being judgemental. God richly bless you in all of your endeavors for His glory.

Lorrie. The context of phillipians is dealing with fellowship among Christian's

And like-minded in the gospel. There were divisions even between leaders

That was affecting the believers and making division. 1 Corinthians chapter 7

Deals with marriage whether Christian or not.

BSP. David at that time of his life was a young man already God was

At work in him preparing him to rule his God's people. Everybody in the battle

Against Goliath had fear except David because he was walking with a pure

And simple heart. When he was staring Down Goliath and being cursed by

Him he said I come in the name of the Living God not even giving an ounce

Of thought what the outcome would be. We should walk in that kind of heart

    And commitment.

Salvation is for everyone who believes and is baptized. Here are some scriptures:

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9 That if thou Confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved.

Acts 19:34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter if persons:

Acts 10:35 But in every nation here that feareth him and worker's righteousness is accepted with him.
  • S Spencer - In Reply on Zechariah 13 - 2 years ago
    Hi Dere.

    Here is the conclusion.

John 3:17-19. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED: ""BUT" HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

There is many that won't be saved because they seek another way.

Matthew 7:13-14. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 7:21-23. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Anyone that says otherwise beware of them.

Matthew 7:15. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

    God bless.

I'm totally lost on most of the discussion in Philippians chapter 1. I've read this chapter like five times in the commentaries and researched it and I'm not really finding anything about marriage in there I meant that's an overall yes thing to deal with but how did it come to be such a discussion in Philippians one? I guess I'll go ahead and give my input on it though I believe if you are an unsaved person and you get married and divorced then what you do once you're saved is what matters otherwise why would we be telling people that Jesus forgives our sins. before I was saved doesn't count as it does after I was saved he cleanse me of all my sins and still now I'm a new in person in Christ from that day forward everything matters. Including divorce and marriage you would definitely apply God's word to divorce and marriage and you wouldn't do it unless adultery. But again before being said you didn't know this.
