How exactly was Satan able to say to Jesus that the world had been given to him?

Everyone is looking to physically see Christ at his second coming, when he said he would come like a thief in the night, like the days of Noah, they never understood until the doors of the ark were closed by God, and sudden destruction: DEATH.

Christ came to give us ETERNAL LIFE:

1 Timothy 6:16 Who (Christ) ONLY hath immortality, dwelling in he light ...

Man WILL NOT believe that the LIFE IN US IS CHRIST, we are just the BODY.

The distance was 2000 cubits about 2/3 of a mile. I believe they came up with this distance from Joshua 3:4. I do not know when it started by the time of Jesus, they had many traditions they held rather than the commandments of God that Jesus busted them on. Matt. 15:1-7 also in Mark 7.

I love the old testament . I read it as much as I do the new . It's all one as far as I'm concerned . It's amazing to read the new testament and be able to recognise how much of the old is being spoken about and referenced by Jesus and his disciples and apostles . One big joy to me .

Thank you. In the same chapter 1 of Acts it says that Mount of Olives is a Sabbath Day Journey from Jerusalem. If you care to' comment on how far away is Mount of Olives from Jerusalem. We know some Israelite s were into a great deal of pedantic confab over what violated the Sabbath. This reached beyond what had anything to do with right thinking on keeping the Sabbath. I suspect there are commentaries that explain how the Sabbath Day Distance was arrived. Comment only if you want to. Thanks for your answer on my question.

Backing up a semi and unloading the trunk of info, is not necessarily bad. It often is not that effective. So sometime brevity is better to be effective. Steve Gbu.....The trinity is very simple....Its Father Son and Granson that is gonna become as the Stars of heaven in multitudes....If ya can understand Abraham Issac and Jacob.... Remember Abraham offered up his only son Issac.. who does that remind us of, God the Father that offered up his only son Jesus....That ram caught in the thicked by his horns was symbolic of Christ and his Crown of thorns....And out of Issac came Jacob and Esau....Outta of Christ came the Wheat the H.G. and the Tares came out of Satans seed....Remember Jacob was the Granson and outta of Jacob came the 12 tribes...The great nation of Israel....But now under this new covenant, its the H.G...The 3 rd person that is the Israel of God...That heavenly Jacob in Isaiah 48 kjv is a picture of Israel of God...The sun nor any kind of heat can lite on them simply b/c they are spirits...As Jesus said that which is born of the spirit is spirit...Thats the H.G. the Israel of God....God Almighty told Moses that his name was ABRAHAM ISSAC AND JACOB...Simply b/c the Godhead is a picture of Abraham Issac and Jacob....Just as Abraham was multiplied as the sands of the seas so Almighty God will be multiplied as the stars of heaven....Thats y the Sower of the good seed wants to sow his precious seed in our hearts...That he might be multiplied as the stars of heaven..Thats y Jesus refers to the H.G. as the Promise the multiplication of Jesus...His offspring an Israel of God...Thats y jesus is saying to whom the word came..(His seed ) it made them Gods and the scriptures cannot be broken..

.....And also the Davidic kingdom was Jesse, David and Solomon....Father, Son and Granson...In Isaiah 11:1 we read of a heavenly Kingdom coming in the last days....Isaiah describes it as a Jesse, David and Solomon type kingdom coming in the last days when God wd gather his ppl a 2 nd Time a 2nd coming...As the H.G. cannot be born in us without the seed of Christ thus Christ is truly the father of the H.G..He has to know us.

Yes Steve, 1 John 5:7 says, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one", is the best singular verse that succinctly describes the Triune God. Then to humanly fathom such a Being as God Who can send Himself forth to accomplish His Purposes (as His Word & Holy Spirit) & not be deficient or destroy Himself in any way, becomes a difficulty for many - hence the on-going debates on this important subject.

He is partly correct in what he said, but more accurately, it should be written, 'The Bible is, in part, about the history of Israel, the people chosen by God, through whom God's blessings would come; that all the world should know the One & True Living God, Who would one day send His Son to be the Redeemer for Israel & the World.' The Torah had an immediate benefit only to Israel, for it was given to them to learn from & obey. Had they been true to God, they would have been used by God as a mighty witness to the World. But they failed Him, disobeying Him & taking on the sins & corruptions of the Gentiles, thus falling into the same condemnation.

God may not have "dealt with any other nations" as He did with His people Israel, but the nations stood condemned for their sins & idolatry just as Israel suffered under God's Hand when they despised Him. The nations may not have known anything about Israel's God, but the Bible in its fullness must have a very real bearing to the Gentiles as their history is also intertwined within Israel's history.

From Adam & Eve right up to Abraham & Isaac, Israel was not a people or nation. Gentiles too have an heritage to Adam even though not much is given after the Flood when the descendants of Ham & Japheth spread out into the world. But we have the mention of Melchizedek ( Genesis 14:18-20), Hagar ( Genesis 16:1-3), Rahab ( Joshua 6:22-25), Ruth (Ruth chapter 2), the repentance of the City of Nineveh ( Jonah 3:5-10). All these in the OT show that Gentiles were still in God's Mind & to be used of Him.

And Hosea 2:23, "...I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God", to this verse the Apostle Peter refers in 1 Peter 2:10. The Church, composed of Jew & Gentile believers were planned for in the Old Testament & realized in the NT Church & the coming of the Holy Spirit to make her God's special possession.

This is my comment on our salvation that is with in us....In our hearts and minds , As Jesus said the Kingdom of God is gonna be with in you....Not here or there but with in you...But he says he that endures to the end will be saved....The end is when our enemy the Tare is consumed at the HARVEST.... At the harvest i will say to the reapers gather to gather the Tares in bundles and burn them....But gather the Wheat to my barn his Kingdom....The Wheat is the H.G. our new innerman the Kingdom That Child of Promise that has to fight with the Tares a Satan offspring....As Satan is the father of the Tares....Thats y Jesus was saying there is gona be war in Heaven....Kingdom against Kingdom....Jesus wants to destroy our carnal minds our old adamic nature..Satans seat/kingdom....If thy right hand offend thee cut it off....Circumcision of the Heart.

......This is a description of the Wheat and the Tares living in within one man's mind....that has HEARD THE WORD that good seed and has given birth to the Wheat the Manchild ....But Satan has sown a Tare in with the Wheat..... Rev 22:11

......But he that is Righteous, let him be Righteous still,..And he that is Holy let him be Holy

still...Thats the wheat living within us....Remember Jesus said to let them grow together till the Harvest..
