Your flesh body in this world is Hades, Sheol and they are twice-dead, Like most others. The awakened ones heard and knew the spirit and spirit knew them, and by providence will be raised up; secret book of John: 648568pray dot com/secret-book-of-john.pdf
I am light..
I am the remembering of Providence
I entered the midst of darkness...
I came to the deepest part of the underworld.
I let my face light up
Thinking of the end of their time
I entered their prison
The body is that prison
I cried out:
"Anyone who hears,
Rise up from your deep sleep!"
And the sleeping one awoke and wept
Wiping bitter tears saying
"Who calls me?"
"Where has my hope come from
As I lie in the depths of this prison?"
It all ends when you renew your mind in the water of truth. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. The Kingdom of God is within you. And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. But to the Religious Zealots, like Nicodemus,(Nicodemus was a Pharisee and a member of the Sanhedrin) ...ye must be born again.
It all ends and begins with your mind.
Jesus but the Muslim didn't accept him in spite of God telling them to honour him they're supposed to follow and e the workers of jesus, hence they 1230 days instead of forever
The Armageddon is going to take place in the Middle East in Israel area all nations are going to be involved the valley which is a dried upriver is where is going to take place, and the Armageddon battle is over.
The millennium starts.
But while the Armageddon battle is going on which last about 3 1/2 years the earth such as the US still has a population?
So, when Jesus starts the millennium with all his saints and angels there will still be a remaining of a population on earth?
During that time, I'm under the impression that the life expectancy of a surviving person on earth will probably be extended very similar the way it was before the flood?
And they would have an opportunity still there that time to accept Jesus as your savior?
People will still be born, and people will still die in the millennium?
And I completely know and understand that all the Saints have internal life.
Thanks!
As I see this verse, It says not to be fearful of anyone who can kill our bodies where they do die. But to fear the One who can destroy body and soul in hell. I believe, since kill is not used in to second scenario, that Jesus is talking about eternal destruction, eternal punishment, and eternal condemnation, not the death of our soul. I believe that our soul will live immortally as will our bodies at the resurrection, either in heaven or hell. As far as at death when our bodies are dead, is our soul also dead? I don't think it ceases to exist during this time. What does it do during the time of our mortal death and our resurrection?
I would hope to get some well thought out and well explained replies this. This discussion has been on this site before in recent weeks, but not concerning this verse, as far as I can recall.
Also, something more appropriate to share with your grandchildren, because what I shared on Verse 2 may sound sort of a harsh thing for them to grasp. What they should know is that every person who belongs to Jesus Christ is no longer energized by the same force, but they are now under the influence and being energized by God's Spirit within!
I agree with your pastor. Matthew 10:28 says, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
That word able is the key. This to me says that God is able to destroy both soul and body in hell, meaning He has the capacity and ability to do so, but no place in scripture supports the idea that He has or will destroy anyone's soul in Hell.
In fact, the bible seems to teach that the soul, when it departs our physical body at death (And death literally means separation), but the soul lives throughout eternity in either Heaven or Hell. Matthew 25:46 is one place that would support the eternal existence of the soul. It says, "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." There are several other places in scripture that also support the same eternal existence of the soul.
Now if the soul is destroyed in Hell, how could it be everlasting punishment? Some do teach that the soul will be destroyed, meaning that it will cease to exist. They call it annihilation. But the bible does not support that teaching. But I would have to agree with your pastor. As person will either spend eternity with Christ, or they will go off to everlasting (Same as eternity) punishment, completely separated from Christ throughout eternity.
Is there any other place/s in scripture other than Matthew 10:28 that would cause you to believe that the soul is not eternal?
I did read your post to GiGi, I read all the posts. It is ok our understandings are different. Jesus fulfilled the prophets and the law down to the last dot. Jesus is our Passover Lamb that shed His blood and was resurrected from the dead on the same day of the Feast of Firstfruits.
My understanding is the high day that John called the Sabbath was an annual Sabbath that there are 7, not a weekly Sabbath. The Passover Day that Jesus was crucified on is a preparation day and is the preparation day in the verses you listed, all leaven had to be gone before sunset on the 14th of Nisan.
The next day the 15th was a holy convocation, a Sabbath, and that evening when they ate the Passover meal and God delivered them out of Egypt, the 15th, Exodus 12. The last day of this seven-day feast is also a Sabbath regardless of what day of the week.
My understanding is, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the 10th of Nisan the first day of the week the same time people put up the Passover lambs. John 12:1-12 puts it 5 days until Passover when Jesus rode into Jerusalem. If you look at the activities of Jesus from the day, He rode in and when He is crucified in all 4 gospels you may find it will not get to Friday.
Again, I enjoyed the conversation, I am sure we both agree Jesus shed His blood for us and resurrected from the dead giving us our only hope of salvation and eternal life with Him.
God bless,
RLW
To get the full understanding of Ephesians 2:2, it needs to be taken with Verses 1 through 10 which gives us the process of salvation. But taking Verse 2 by itself, it says, "Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, and secondly: according to the prince of the power of the air, (which is Satan), the spirit that is now working, or energizing in the children of "the" disobedience: There's a definite article with the word disobedience. It is the specific disobedience, the disobedience to God. So, the prince and power of the air is energizing the children of disobedience, the same way it did us prior to our salvation.
The next church is the church of Smyrna. This is one of only two churches without rebuke. They are told of the persecution to come; and to remain faithful unto death. Related to this is in verse 11 which is stated later in Revelation; where overcomers are said not to suffer from the second death ( Rev. 20:6 etal). It is notable that they are humbled but shall be exalted (i.e. are rich verse 9). This is the opposite of the Laodicean church at the end of Revelation 3 where they are in reality poor; blind; naked etc. instead of having no needs with many material riches.
Verses 12 to 16 talk of Pergamos. This church; sadly had idolotry (verse 14) and LITERALLY was where (in part of Turkey) where Satan's seat; and pagan worship was located.d Unlike Ephesus the Nicolaitans were tolerated (they are said to be the follower of someone with that name and/or saw nothing wrong with the flesh involved in sins of sensuality if the spirit wasn't involved; a sort of Gnosticism. Jesus warns that He will fight against "them" if they don't repent. This shows that those promulgating false teachings should be purged out among them by the rest of the church.
The last part of the chapter discusses Thyatira. There is much commendation; with the one issue being this woman Jezebel; teaching and seducing with fornication and idolotry. Those who wouldn't repent would be cast into "great tribulation" (v. 22). As to killing her children that could be symbolic; as well as the fornication. There is certainly a warning to us today if it truly means that we will be left behind in the Tribulation for such activities; although the context would seem to indicate the body being destroyed so the soul could be saved much as seen in 1 Cor. 5:5. In any case it certainly wakes us up to the fact once again that blatant sins and practices can still crop up in otherwise Biblically sound churches. Satan probably tries to incur maximum damage by such tactics.
Thats y Jesus said the kingdom of heaven suffers violence....but the violent take it by force....The Wheat is gona take it by force...This kingdom against Kingdom war is gona be won by the wheat which is the H.G...The manchild that is gona rule all nations.
.....Thus the 2 men in 1 bed is just 1 man that has been bornagain by the good seed but within his heart there is another man the TARE Satan .....one is gonna be taken and one is gonna be burnt to ashes.....Jesus said i will say to the reapers gather up the tares in bundles and BURN THEM....But the wheat to my barn the kingdom....Remember Paul said i see another law in my members waring against my mind etc..which was the tare...Paul had become 2 ppl spiritually speaking.
.....Same thing with the 2 woman grinding at the mill is just 1 woman that has been bornagain....But satan has sown a tare in her heart making her 2 woman...But 1 is gona be taken and 1 is gona beleft....Jesus said that the tares are gona be gathered in bundles and burnt.
......Same thing with the 2 men in the field is just 1 man that is involved in a war with satan and his tares...Remember John saw War in heaven.
Hi! My name is Don. I am an 88 years old Christian, and have been a Christian since April of 1955. The day I got saved was the first day I had ever gone to church. On that first day I met this gorgeous woman, pursued her for six months, married her, and we had a fairytale romance for 61 years, 5 months, and 12 days before I lost her. She gave me two beautiful daughters. I achieved a BA Degree at a seminary, and the KJV became my first love of all books! I am a low-profile writer, and I have written several booklets on the KJV Translation. Now I have to ask......where have you been all my life? WOW! What a great website! THANK YOU!! I will be using most of its wonderful features the rest of the few years left to me. Thank you that this site exists!
Please pay attention to the following verses. All evangelists agree that Jesus died on Friday.
Matthew 27:62-64
"Now the next day (after Jesus resurrection, Sabbath), that followed the day of the preparation (Friday), the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again."
Mark 15:42-43 "And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation (Friday), that is, the day before the sabbath,
Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus."
Luke 23:52-54 "This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on."
John 19:31 "The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away."
John 19:14 "And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!" So it was the day before Passover. In that specific year Passover was on the last day of the Jewish week, that is on a Sabbath day. Now about the different time, 6th hour of the day, I don't know to be honest and I couldn't find or read any reasonable answer.
About those 3 days and 3 nights please read my post to GiGi yesterday, its too long to rewrite it.
