Personally, i believe that a water baptism is a covenant of good conscience with the Lord. This is also confirmed by one of the Apostles in:
1 Peter 21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Amen.
Personally, i also think we can change the tactics with water burial/baptism. Because many shy people don't actually get baptized. Because of the white apron they will dress with. Shows the most delicate things a person has.
A proper baptism must take place in the person's own everyday clothes. You could probably say that they should be freshly laundered in that case. In the sea under the sky it is not so difficult. But there is probably chlorine in the baptismal font.
God bless u and yours in Jesus name, love u in Christ John 7:10-24
Stay srong in our Lord Jesus, love u in Christ. John 7:10-24
the only way to start having a tiny taste of jesus abilities is by turning away from your sins. just open your eyes and ears and pay close attention!
if god said i made you holy or at my image, do you think the holiness laws rules on earth for no reason?
why there are jails, school, government, churches...?
why evils is not taught to children?
open your eyes and ears, pay close attention!!!
it is written the preaching of the cross to the jews; a stumbling block; to the greeks foolishines.
but to those jews and gentiles that believes it is the power of god. that should answer your question if not maybe a little...peace...god is love not that love that the world gives but spiritual love which surpasses all understanding.
Thank you
Thanks, I agree, many will burn in the lake of fire, but no one will be cast into it until Rev. 20:15 not before. I believe this is a parable and you do not and that's ok. If we look at the context, Jesus was directing it to the Pharisees who was highly educated, who was being snooty.
I agree the story fits Greek mythology but in the Old or New Testament scripture does not support an after-death place we go before resurrection; I have not found one verse that says we, as man, go or are taken to heaven. Do you know one?
My understanding of scripture death is sleep; scripture tells us there is no knowledge of time until we are resurrected. Greek philosophy of death from Socrates, Plato, death is the separation of the soul/spirit from the body that is falsely said to be immortal. This has (in my understanding) intertwined into Christianity teaching.
There is only one group of angels that are locked in chains of darkness, the ones in 2 Peter 2:4 and Jude 1:6. These left their own habitation, and God locked them in darkness for what they did against God's creation. Satan, other fallen angels, and devils/demons are on this earth even today.
In Matt. 27 it just seemed different to use another word for resurrection than the Greek word "anastasis" used all the other times for resurrection. It was John 5:25 When Jesus said the hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and shall live. These are the ones I believe when Jesus cried out came out of their graves. John 5:28-29 will be the final resurrection. Hope that makes since.
The different times in Mark and John I will have to go with everything else that was written. There is not a contradiction between John and Mark, Jesus was nailed to the cross and stood up on the 3rd hour, 9AM the same time the first lamb of the Tamid was put on the altar on Passover day, the preparation day for the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, a sabbath day.
God bless,

Predestination. This is a continuation of the discussion in chapter 9. Jesus explains the concept of His sheep hearing His voice; then there continued to be fractious dissention among some who listened to Christ because AGAIN; they couldn't deny that a blind man being healed had to have come from God.
We then switch to the scene of the "feast of dedication" otherwise known as Hanukkah. There were Jews there; perhaps some others and the previous Pharisees; who asked Him point blank if He was the Christ (or Savior). He then told them that He clearly was; but that they were NOT His sheep and couldn't hear His voice. The concept of election of those who were given to Him (v. 29): and His unity with God (as part of the Godhead).
Once AGAIN they prepared to stone Him. He told them once AGAIN in verse 38 to at least believe Him for the works sake and that just led to another attempt to seize Him; then He escaped. Then ironically where he went where John had done NO miracles they believed because His testimony had been true about Christ. In this case it was the opposite of when people often demanded miracles as evidence that He was Christ; clearly those spiritually blind were not convinced EITHER way.
There is more that can be said; but I felt that the focus should be on how NOW we can recognize through Christ and the new man in us what will exist someday in eternity by the power of the Holy Spirit. If we are saved; then we are new creatures; and although we see darkly as through a glass; we get a taste of things to come ( 1 Cor. 13:12). We are already spiritually "seated in heavenly places" ( Eph. 2:1-9). We become hearers of His voice; and start to sense His presence; and have the "mind of Christ" ( 1 Cor. 2:16). He has given us good works to do which no doubt will continue in heaven in some form as we are all uniquely created.
Scripture simply doesn't allow for an nihilism in any way; verses differentiate between the word "qeber" for the body in the grave and "sheol" which is the state of the soul in the O.T. after death. Now; we can go immediately into God's presence; so Satan no longer has power over our souls to keep them under the earth in the paradise part of sheol anymore HEBREWS 2:14-15! Perfect love casts out fear ( 1 John 4:18).
remember the parable jesus gave about the poor begger that the rich man wouldn't give him the crumbs that fell from his table? moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. the begger died and was carried away into abrahams bosom, the rich man died and he was..buried; and in hell he lifted up his eyes and saw lazarus in abrahams bosom. it depends on the way you lived your life in your body (the life that god gave you!! )determines which place you spend eternity. with abraham bosom (heaven, garden of eden, paradise, the kingdom of god whatever..you surely don't want to go where that rich man that wouldn't give that begger the crumbs that fell from his table!!! hope this helps...
Maybe? Hebrews 10:5-10 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Or perhaps John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
?
Jesus also "didn't" tell is to search out who ever wants to debate the trinity. We should be more concerned with spreading the Gospel.
God bless.
Some people are born having a disability of any kind, special needs, like say Asperger's syndrome or anything else, all sort of diseases yet from birthtime etc. Something went wrong during pregnacy, something went wrong during birth, many things are inherited from parents etc etc. Is God responsible for all those? Was it His will that those people were born with those? No, of course not. Who is the ruler of this world? Satan is, he rules on people through sin. Since mankind revolved against God and chose to go their way, they have to face the consequences of their choises and their sinful lifes. Wordly people are not under God's protection and concern, only His children are.

In 2 Timothy 3:16 Apostle Paul writes "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" What is the scripture that Paul talks about? I mean the books of the New Testament were not written yet, not all of them, some Paul's letters were shared between churches when Paul writes his letter to Timothy. A long time will pass by untill all the churches at that time have a complete and organised form of what we call today New Testament. The Scripture that Paul talks about in Timothy is mainly the Old Testatment.
