    Hi Glenda.

I concur with Brother Jesse, and I believe the previous verses verify that as well.

    Matthew 24:37-39.

"But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

AND KNEW NOT UNTIL THE FLOOD CAME, AND TOOK THEM ALL AWAY; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

No one left but Noah and his family!

    God bless.

    Glenda,

People have wondered about this, and there are different views about two in the field, one is taken, one is left. Where does the one go that is taken? We know where the one that is left is, but what about the one that is taken? Some say it's taken into judgment. Some say it's for salvation, a person is taken saved. Some say it's one of these gatherings, the Lord gathering His people from the four corners of the earth.

But in Luke's account, Luke 17:37, it tells us that they are taken into judgment. They are drawn into the Valley of Megiddo for the battle of Armageddon. As you go through Revelation, you will see that God is the one that draws the people and the armies into the valley of Megiddo to fight against Him when He comes. So Luke 17:37 tells us that they are taken for judgment.

    Star,

Luke 24:47 does not say water baptism is for the remission of sin. It says repentance and remission of sin should be preached. The word "for" is not found, neither is water baptism unless you add it. What Jesus said in Matthew 26:28 would be correct teaching on remission of sin. Jesus does not say that water baptism is for the remission of sins, but the blood He shed is for remission. Water cannot remove sin. Only the blood of Jesus Christ can.

In Acts 2:38, Peter said to Repent! The word repent means make a decision for change. It also carries with it the understanding that you can't change yourself. You're just making the decision for change and you're surrendering your life to Christ for Him to make the change. Repent and be baptized every one of you, (upon the basis of the name of Jesus Christ) for the remission of sins. Please notice that repent comes first. And the promise is that you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Repent, surrender to Christ, identify with Him, and He will pour out His Spirit upon you and save you. Water baptism does not save. Repentance and surrendering to Christ does. It's when Jesus baptizes us with His Spirit. That's what saves a person, not water baptism.

If, as you say, "Water baptism saves you as in for the "remission of sins". Your previous sins are washed, forgiven," why then did Jesus have to come and shed His blood on the cross? What was that for? I mean if water baptism is for the remission of sin, why did He have to shed His blood?

It says in Hebrews 9:22, "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and WITHOUT SHEDDING OF BLOOD IS NO REMISSION." But you say water baptism is for the remission of sin?

You also say that "Instead of arguing this & that, why not go to the Lord in prayer & seek this truth. The Lord will always show us the way. Ask for revelation." That's fair advice. But I don't think the Lord revealed to you that water baptism is for the remission of sin. Only the blood He shed!

    Hello Jesse

I was just wondering...since the rich man and Lazarus are just souls, no bodies, as the resurrection of dead has yet to happen, what are those flames? Material? Spiritual? A metaphor for something else? What's your opinion?

Jesus always spoke of his Father in Heaven.

    Matthew 16:17

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in HEAVEN.

    [not in Rome]

    Matthew 23:9

And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in HEAVEN.

    Mark 13:32

But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

    Matthew 5:16

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father

    WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.

Some Blood of Jesus scripture references:

    Hebrews 10:19 and 13:12; Ephesians 2:13

    1 John 1:7 and 1 John 5:6

    Matthew 16:17

I do not want to offend. The Pope, nor any priest of the Catholic Church should be called Father.

    God is a consuming fire.

As long as we keep those facts straight, we are ok. The council of Nicea, adopted the King James Bible for all faiths to use.

The way things are going, in the World, now: is a good time to be following Jesus.

Recently, the Pope went to Israel and counseled them to give the West Bank to the Palestinians.

In the Book of Genesis, God made a Covenant through Abraham concerning the Lands of Israel; which includes Jerusalem. The Final wars of mankind will be over Who Owns Israel.

If you don't have a Bible, there is a full Bible on this Website, plus Commentarie.

Matthew 24:40-42 Is this speaking of rapture or second coming?
  • Jesse - In Reply on James 1 - 3 years ago
    Gary,

I don't believe there is any place in scripture that would indicate that our loved ones who have passed away can see us or feel our love for them. I do however think that those who have passed away can remember their past life on earth. We see this in the story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31. The rich man was tormented in this flame which tells us that he was not saved and that he still had a sense of feel because he asked for Abraham to cool his tongue. He also remembered his brothers on earth who were not saved because he asked that someone would be sent to testify to his brothers.

I find that story to be quite interesting. Here's this rich man being tormented in these flames, and he doesn't ask Abraham to get him out, but that he would just cool the tip of his tongue. Either he didn't want out because he didn't want anything to do with Jesus, or he knew that it was impossible for him to be saved after he had died in a state of rejection.

Do you mean the "Shroud of Turin" or "Holly Shroud", that is supposed to be the piece of cloth in which Jesus was wrapped after crucifixion, and is kept in a R/Catholic cathredal in Turin? It is supposed to contain blood stains that form an image of the dead Jesus.

Matthew 26:28 " For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins ". Also Like 24:47, " And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. "

Matthew 28:19 says In His Name. What's his name? Jesus. Hallelujah

This post is to no one in particular. In the book of Acts, Cornelius was not a Jew & he was water baptized. Water baptism is all thru the New Testament. Romans 6:1-8. Colossians 2. Mark 16:16-17. Luke 24:47 also says it's for the remission of sins. Matthew 26:28 Acts 2:38 is the New Testament salvation message. Water baptism saves you as in for the "remission of sins". Your previous sins are washed, forgiven. And now we must walk the straight path, sin no more. Love the Lord w all our heart & love our neighbor as thyself. We must continue on to receive the Holy Ghost. We must receive the Holy Ghost or we are none of his. I am of the Apostles doctrine, the book of Acts. And in Acts 2:39 says, The promise is unto you & to your children and to all those that are afar off even as many as the Lord our God shall call. It was first to the jews but then to the gentiles. There's so much scripture for water baptism. First in Acts 2:38 w Peter saying to "Repent & be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost". Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom of heaven, therefore he was not in error.

Instead of arguing this & that, why not go to the Lord in prayer & seek this truth. The Lord will always show us the way. Ask for revelation. Hallelujah amen I love the Lord & all his ways.

    Hello Barb:

    Additional verses: Galatians 3:1-29

    Galatians 3:26-29

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Good question. Rejoice evermore.

    Julie,

John 19:34 is what you might be looking for. This was not during the resurrection but while He was still on the cross. There is no place in scripture that says they got blood from Jesus during His resurrection.

John 19:31-37 is the prophecy concerning His (Jesus') bones. John 19:36 is the fulfillment of Psalm 34:20 and Exodus 12:4. And then John 19:37 is the fulfillment of Zechariah 12:10.

Jesus went to the money changers and the people had to use roman money and the Hebrew money was used in the temple and there was an exchange rate and Jesus finally got so frustrated with it that He lashed out and started His ministry it is as it was with the money changers it's just now it's on an international level and Jesus methinks is becoming frustrated with the world

Lord Jesus, I am continuing to ask for strong protection (pleading the blood of Jesus over us & family and asking for Holy Warrior angels and a wall of Holy Spirit fire to surround each of us), deliverance, healing (thank you for all healing you have already granted, we need a lot of healing in the heart), peace and salvation and wisdom and an infilling with the Holy Spirit. Please grant what Paul prayed in Eph. 3:14-19 for each of us. Also Lord please intervene concerning the painful things you know about. Please forgive the sins that have led to these things and please severely rebuke and deal with this terrible verbal and emotional abuse, A. is hurting her child so much. Please do this for all children who are living with parents who are hurting them, whether verbally, emotionally, physically or in any other way. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray Lord Jesus. Amen

It is truly frightening for one to believe he can keep on sinning claiming he is only commiting sins that are common to man I am disgusted with the sins that aren't common to man whatever they may be still I will rather than to deny Christ God and His salvation sometimes I feel like the expectation of a fiery indignation.

Father please have mercy on all. Please draw all to Jesus ( 1 Timothy 2:4). Please pour out your Spirit on all ( Joel 2). Please help us so that we are counted worthy to escape the wrath to come and stand before you Lord Jesus without having to shrink back in shame. Help us to bear fruit while we are still here. Forgive me for so many wasted opportunities and selfishness. Thank you. Come quickly Lord Jesus. Maranatha. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

    Hello Julie:

Who are the "they" you are referring to? Nothing in the Bible that says that claim.

I really believe that the Catholic Church combines paganism with the true God. I also know there a lot of good people in Catholic and all other churches. We all have been deceived. That is why reading the Bible yourself and truly accepting 100% the KJV Bible is telling the truth is a good start. Then God will show how to be saved by realizing we are all sinners and we need a true Saviour. Only then God opens your heart and mind that trusting and having faith, and believing in the blood Jesus Christ shed on the cross for the remission/atonement/forgiveness of the whole world's sins you become part of the Body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is a great verse to believe the Gospel. We believers must not put that belief in vain. Once you believe, you stand on that belief, so you will not be toss to and fro by any person, or any so-called Christian Churches who have their own filthy lucre agenda. Jesus Christ only died once, Jesus Christ was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures. Any body who understand that concept understands the power of God. God already WON. The true believers have the power of God in them because Christ is in each of the true believers inside their body, soul and spirit. If anybody believes that, you will know who are evil and the saints-the sons of God. We all have been warned because we are living in the last days. Jesus is coming in the clouds to meet the Bride of Christ 1 Thessalonians 4:11-18, 1 Corinthians 15:50-58. Believers rejoice evermore. Grow in grace and practice true meaning of Charity 1 Corinthians 13:4:13. Therefore, anybody who has Jesus Christ should warn their corrupted churches to not be deceived or else Revelation 18:4. Agape.

    Hello, T. Levis

I had read about this medical condition too. So I think it I very likely that Jesus did, indeed, seat drops of blood. But i do think that we may not know for sure this side of heaven and that whether or not He did actually seat blood or not is not a crucial matter to resolve. But this account in the garden of Gethsemane does show us the intensity of the burden of the sins of the world upon our Lord and the agony of it for Him.

    Good Morning Chris,

Agreed. I also recall that Jesus said that He lays down His life and He will take it up again and at the last it is said He gave up His Spirit. so, it seems that men did put Jesus to death, but He had to allow it to occur because he is the Resurrection and the Life. he had control of whether He would die or not and relinquished His life on the cross for us to, as you said, be the only means of a perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world.

    Francesco:

It's the LIVING WORD that teaches us by studying his written word: He wrote it; he will CAUSE you to understand, his word.

You have not, because you ASK NOT, and when you ask, you ask amiss; things to be consumed by the flesh.

To whom much is GIVEN ....The LIFE of Christ ....much more will be GIVEN .... the MIND (knowledge and wisdom) of Christ.

Stand firm in what the SPIRIT teaches YOU.

Psalms 82:6 I have SAID ( Isaiah 55:11) Ye are gods, the children of the most high.

John 10:35 If he (the written word) called them gods, unto whom (unto Francesco) the (living) WORD (Christ in you) came, the scripture CANNOT be broken.

God bless YOU, the body of CHRIST, and Christ is the body of GOD, OUR Father.
