    Sister GiGi:

From Adam till the present, what is the SIN that separates man from God.

    UNBELIEF

    Adam didn't believe God's word.

National Israel didn't believe God's word.

Promised Israel today doesn't believe God's Word.

Paul was struggling with this same sin, UNBELIEF.

Romans 11:32 For God HATH concluded THEM ALL (including Paul) in UNBELIEF, that he may have MERCY ON ALL.

Proverbs 16:6 By MERCY and TRUTH iniquity (unbelief) is PURGED.

1 Timothy 1:13 Who (Paul) was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in UNBELIEF.

Romans 11:30 For YE in times past HAVE NOT BELIEVED GOD, yet have now obtained mercy because of their UNBELIEF.

Mark 9:24 .... Lord ....help thou my UNBELIEF .......

Matthew 17:20 ...because of your UNBELIEF .....

Every SIN is CAUSED by UNBELIEF.

    God Bless YOU!

    Sister Jema:

Ezekiel 36:27 I WILL put my Spirit IN YOU and CAUSE you to walk in my statutes and keep my judgements and DO THEM.

The WORD says it is God that CAUSES you to SLIP; but, the WORD also says ALL THINGS work together, even the slips we make, for the good of THOSE who love the WORKS of God.

    Read and STUDY Isaiah 10.

God runs the lives of every man, but most live in UNBELIEF and deny the WORKS of God.

    God Bless YOU!

    Thank you Jesse,

He wants to just reach for something pre-packaged, which is hard to find something with low carbs and high protein. He does boil an egg at times, but I think he should do that more often. And when I make a roast of chicken, I try to cook enough for leftovers. He will reheat those. But vegetables and fruits are another thing he shies away from. I am more fruit and vegetable snacker than him. Also, with him going on motorcycle rides 2-3 days a week, he isn't home to fix a breakfast or lunch and relies on more snack foods. But he did bring his A1C done 1 whole percentage point like I did, but it is nearer to 6.0 now. A good improvement.

He has always been resistant to eat "healthy" type of foods. I embrace them. So, we are on different wavelengths in that regard. He likes to eat at fast food restaurants and I do not because I can make better food at home that is more nutritious. But wit this new diet change, we are coming closer together on what we prepare at home. I am glad for that.

    Persecution to come

I am interrupting my current postings for now as I believe that it is prudent to give a watchman's warning as to the rapidly spiraling out of control demonstrations that are breaking out in many cities across America related to this war between Israel and Hamas and no doubt other factions which has just broken the 30 day mark. This has already exceeded the length of most other recent conflicts in that nation and likely will exceed the length of all wars there from 1948 to today; perhaps even all combined together. The demonstrations here and worldwide are targeting Jews but you can be certain that the Christians are next.

Our choice now seems to be continuing with our current political party (who apparently despite supporting the Palestinians are still hated by the demonstrators); or going back to the former President who no doubt will have to have martial law and brutal crackdowns to get anything under control.

We need to seize every moment to proclaim the Gospel; and wisely prepare for what is to come. Our Lord could be returning any time now; but I don't see that happening until Israel has secured its borders; and eventually comes to some sort of more peaceful existance before the Ezekiel 38 war can commence. That is when I expect the Daniel 9:27 treaty when all the surrounding areas such as Jordan and perhaps Syria are dealt with in the Isaiah 17 prophecy. Whatever that timing is; our country has been invaded by millions and no doubt we have terrible days coming; perhaps as bad as the Civil War. Once we see tens of thousands demonstrating like this; and Jewish students having to hide in libraries we know persecution is near.

Our time of armchair spectator sport Christianity is rapidly waning. On one hand this should help to destroy the prosperity gospel and many false ministries. On the other I pray we all trust in the Spirit to give us words in that hour of trial which no doubt many will face both here and abroad.

    Falsehood within truth (continued)

In regard to symbolic interpretations of scripture; one of the most extreme I have seen is an interpretation of Revelation 22 as being a symbolic imagery not a literal place paved in streets of gold and all the other details of mind boggling concepts. This was one novel Post Millennial or amillennial concept for a small book that I read several years back. On the other hand, the idea that many from the Pre Millennium camp argue that we should submit to the idea that Satan has basically taken over and controls everything rather than still using God given authority until the end of the church age was a good point. It can be argued that one eschatology is better than another (I myself am a PreMillenialist) but in this case as in all others there is a deeper issue; namely that many clear factual prophetic statements will occur at the Second coming; just as it did at the first. PostMil people and even Preterists for that matter have no problem believing the historical prophecies from Christ's first coming; and the Old Testament Prophecies and writings from history being a literal fact. But often doctrinal issues preclude such ideas for future prophecies; tied into the idea that for instance the church has replaced Isreal rather than the idea that two concurrent covenants could be in effect. Some would even argue with science that corroborates prophecy such as the fault line on the Mount of Olives that explains Zechariah 14:4. They would say that it precludes faith from being belief in what we can't see if it fits in with science! We of course can make this error in reverse with evolution concepts that often are disproven at a later date when more of the fossil record is retrieved; for instance with such fossils as Archaepterix; or "Piltdown" man. Again; there is some room for different interpretations on "secondary" issues but not when primary core doctrines of truth are compromised.

One can eventually lead to the other

    Carleton,

Well it is rainy here. That is par for the season here in the North-west. There were still some things I wanted to do in the yard this fall, but may be running out of good weather to work in outside. Hopefully we will have some dry days for those things to get done. I kind of feel like hibernating these last few weeks with the weather change, but I just pray that I will get my "pep" back soon.

My son and daughter-in-law just told us they are expecting first baby in May. That is such good news! My first grandchild. So, as my daughter in law said, I'm officially a GiGi. They are not financially ready to take on all things about parenting. So, they will be living with us for awhile. That is fine for us. If they still need to stay here after the baby arrives that is fine, too. As childcare is sooooo expensive nowadays, hubby and I will be caring for baby while they work. Praying for my other son and daughter in law to soon be expecting, too. They are near 40 and so, I hope it happens soon.

Practical examples of errors exposed (Part One).

In regard to misuse of scripture; we risk two extremes-that being making applications to every event in our lives with any verse that even remotely seems to prove a mindset or agenda or life decision and the contrary; which views the Word as a history lesson; disregarding any application of the supernatural in our personal lives; or in speaking to us in our personal lives.

I would say that it is better to randomly open to a scripture verse to find something applicable than to assign meanings to passages through a deliberate twisting of meanings. We need to differentiate between methods of preaching that are more life application oriented with those that are more focused on hermeneutics, for instance. It is a slippery slope once we start to read into scripture with a message that is more like a self fulfilling prophecy than proper exegesis.

Take; for instance personal examples and life lessons. Those obsessed with the charismatic gifts; for instance often talk of miracles that they have seen; but practically speaking; for instance hearing examples of sharing the Gospel and seeing results is just as much; if not more evidence of a miracle in a supernatural transformation of the heart. Knowing our local pastor should help us to establish trust so that we have assurance that we are not being given unsubstantiated tales of miracles; signs and wonders.

Another example is the verses where we are commanded to raise the dead; heal the sick etc such as found in Matthew 10:8. Surely these acts along with deliverance were continued throughout the time of the book of Acts. We need to matter of factly acknowledge when a miracle appears to occur; but also realize that in some cases it may not be God's will; at least in terms of the fact that we are all mortal beings. We certainly should pray for such things; especially spiritual deliverance for those in bondage to the enemy which all with the Spirit can do.

Truth mixed with falsehood (part 2 of introduction outline).

Continuing with my first outline there is a #3 issue. That is not being fully persuaded that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. This results in various sinful results. We are assured that he who teaches one error and practices it will be the least in the Kingdom of God ( Matt. 5:19). There are more serious issues such as what would be categorized as "damnable heresies" ( 2 Peter 2:1) so this isn't something to trifle with.

One thing that contributes to this scriptural mindset are poor translations of scripture; which can involve a few issues or be wanton disregard to the clear meanings of all source texts in order to propagate teachings of cults.

A second issue is the leadership selling their own version of "snake oil" in order to facilitate preaching of some sort of "prosperity gospel" which no doubt is cultlike in placing undue emphasis on the charisma of the teacher or ministry as opposed to a balanced church as mandated in the scriptures. Lack of church discipline for pastors and laypersons alike often results; and other times of course legalism can occur; sometimes even alongside the first error. Scripture should never be used to push an agenda that diverts attention from the Great Commission and other key commands; nor should it promote lawlessness or "cheap grace."

The third issue; often tied in with the others mentioned here is other writings being put on too high a pedestal or revered as somehow being worthy of worship or even worth considering from other religions. This can be as innocuous as obsessing on a classic such as "Pilgrim's Progress" or other worthy Christian fiction at the expense of purely studying scriptures to widespread error from espousing some New Age concept and especially Christ being presented as a great teacher and such which those of other religions would espouse apart from His Deity.

Usually some truth is retained which makes error more potent.

    Truth mixed with falsehood

"A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump." ( Gal. 5:9). Without naming names; it is clear that error has crept in with many if not most churches of sizeable membership today. Here is a summary list of reasons these falsehoods develop and manifest.

    1. Misinterpreting scripture. This can be subdivided into several categories:

    a. Isolating a text from the greater meaning of surrounding chapters; and/or other cross references that clearly relate to the subject being discussed.

    b. Making a literal text fit into the narrative by ascribing the meaning to a figurative description; or more rarely taking figurative language and attempting to find literal meaning to it. (Actually the second error is something that I haven't really seen in any examples that I can think of at present but is theoretically possible).

    c. Over OR Underemphasis on the Old Covenant; its laws and the ways God interacted with Israel in the past. This covers several issues; such as the error of teaching that the church has replaced Israel in all former covenant promises; or that we are still to follow all the Old Testament commandments that were purely for Israel (such as the Saturday sabbath law; or perhaps ceremonial regulations for unclean foods; etc. This can slip into the error of trying to emphasize the New Testament with the implication that God somehow isn't the same in regard to God the Father in the Old Testament and Christ in the New Testament.

This fits into an overemphasis of attributes of love today as compared with judgment and wrath in the past. God is the same yesterday; today and forever ( Heb. 13:8).

    2. Setting an agenda by using a passage that fits in to an introduced concept; theme or idea. This broad concept would involve gross error of cherry picking verses that on a surface level may seem to verify clearly heretical concepts; or attempting to fit a doctrine into a selected text while ignoring other scriptures.

Hey catman, I agree. Especially when so many "theologians" here seem to know so much. They write pages and pages of theological "dissertations" designed to enlighten us. One of my favorite verses, by the way, is.. Revelation 19:10.. the last part of the verse... "for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy"... just saying.

    Mark 13:32

"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father."

Not to be a pessimist because by nature, I'm truly very much an optimist. Humanity has been seeing signs of end times for hundreds of years, if not 2000+ years. I'm always hesitant about attemptibg to make predictions and foretell a potential eminent end of time event. Not that I'm not just as any and ready to move on (hopefully to Heaven) as what you are but because we're told that neither the angels nor Christ know when the end will be but only God does know. I feel like making declarations of an eminent end of time is somewhat taking a position of "I know better" than God's Word. I absolutely support and believe that it is both wise and prudent to be ready at any given moment. But 'end times prophets' have never given me a sense of enrichment. I can easily see that it is not your purpose but to many, it is seem as fear mongering. I don't think that but many would.
  • Catman5000 - In Reply - 1 year ago
As has been mentioned, numbers and their combinations are numerology and astrology which fit under the more broad term 'sorcery'. And while we are to have np part in these things, I think that it is equally as important to remember that while we do not utilize these for any purpose, there are those who do and because Satan and evil are both very real, unfortunately, these various numbers do have power. Evil power but power nonetheless. My birthday is on March 20th. I couldn't tell you how many tines I've looked at a clock and it was 3:20. I've even woken up many tines in the middle of the night and it was 3:20am. Or, how many tines have I looked at a clock and it was 12:34am/pm. Do I think these mean anything? Nope. Just random occurrences Most likely because I anticipate seeing them and I'm adjusted to looking at a clock at these times.

There are however, two numbers that do have strong powers. One is mentioned in the Bible and is 3 numbers, which are the same and are found in Revelation 13:18. I just don't like the number so I let it be.Abd then, there is one other number which is frequently used against us and that is the number 33. I hate mentioning it because you will now notice how often it is deployed by thise who are evil. I assure you, it is everywhere. Might be an address, the time, the speed you're traveling in your vehicle, the remaining percentage of charge on your cell phone, the radio volume in your vehicle, a page number you happen to be on, a news report (big tine during the C19 scam!). It is absolutely everywhere and when you realize it, you'll have a better grasp of just how surrounded by evil we truly are. This is the highest ranking freemason, 33rd degree, complete satanism.

We are to have nothing to do with these things but we must recognize that there are many who do and they utilize these numbers to inflict harm and worse. If we fail to recognize this, we only blind ourselves to the ever-present Satan and hus evil that seeks to destroy us

    Brothers in Christ

    Greetings in Christ JESUS

Get ready Get ready Get ready

At midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him-Mat.25:verse 6.

The bridegroom tarried, all slumbered and slept-verse 5.

The bridegroom comes; and only they that are ready go in with Him to the marriage: and the door will be shut acccording verse 10.

Reemember that the disciples privately asked two important things to JESUS,saying:

1-What shall be the SIGN of thy coming?

2-and of the END of the world? (the current Devil's world)

Our Lord JESUS listed several signs that would happen previously before His coming as is written in Matthew 24:3-7,and He warned in the verse 8 saying that the signs listed were only the beginning of sorrows. Are you see that the SIGNS LISTED

of the coming of our Lord are LITERALLY be fulfilled? If not, wake up, yeah wake up and get up quickly.

Get ready. Get ready. Get ready. The Day of Vengeance arrived, the Day of the Lord.

    Revelation 11:15to18

15-The kingdoms OF THIS WORLD are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

18-And the NATIONS were (will be) angry, and GOD's WRATH is come, ... and should destroy them which destroy the earth.

    Revelation 6:15-17

    15 The kings of the earth,and the great men,and the rich men,and the chief captains,and the mighty men,and every bondman, and every free man,hid(will hide)themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

16 And said to the mountains and rocks,Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17For the GREAT Day of His wrath is come;and who shall be able to stand?

The ANGEL of the Lord,John the Baptist, warned the Jews, saying:O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the WRATH to come? Luke 3:7. He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: he that believes not the Son shall not see life;but the WRATH of GOD abides on him- John 3:31

Hi Jess L. If I might add a little to what others have shared with you, including those Scriptures for you to consider, I would include a very important chapter (John chapter 17), as Jesus' great & special prayer to His Father just prior to the events leading to His arrest & crucifixion.

The ministry of Jesus on Earth was now completed, only the final work of redemption lay before Him. But Jesus says something interesting to His Father: "Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee" (v1), and then further adds, "O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was" (v5). To glorify means 'to bestow honor; to magnify someone's worth'. When Jesus sought His Father's glory of Himself at this point, it was what remained before Him: the culmination of His Ministry to His disciples & others & the laying down of His Life for them. To many, Jesus' death meant failure, a riddance of a thorn in their flesh, an inability to accomplish what He had promised. But He knew that He did not come to meet the whims & fancies of men, but to bring sinners into the love & fold of God ( John 10:15,16). Men would hate & reject Him, but His Father's Plan for man's redemption would be fully accomplished & in this act of sacrifice & love, both the Father & Son would be glorified & Jesus' time of glorification had arrived - not by pomp & ceremony but by sacrificial Love.

But such love was nothing new, for God is the embodiment of Love, Mercy, Grace, & Truth. But when Jesus came to Earth, that Glory was hidden from men, that only God would be glorified in the Face of Jesus ( 2 Corinthians 4:6). But now the Glory of Jesus would also be seen by those who believe - and this Glory that was once hidden would be returned to Him - as He said, "with the glory which I had with thee before the world was". Jesus, God's Word, was within God's Person, for He 'came out from God & came forth from the Father' ( John 16:27,28).

    Jess L on John 13

JESUS said for the Devil: Matthew 4:4 - Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the MOUTH of GOD.

Where is written "every Word that proceeded out of the MOUTH of GOD"?

Maatthew 11: 27 - ...no MAN knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any MAN the Father, save the Son, and he TO WHOMSOEVER the Son WILL REVEAL HIM.

    1 John 5:19-20

19 And we know that we are of GOD, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

20 And we know that the Son of GOD is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true GOD, and eternal life.

    John 3:3 and 5 and 17-21:

3 ... Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of GOD.

5 ... Except a MAN be born of water(of the Word of GOD) and of the Spirit(the Word is Spirit), he cannot enter into the Kingdom of GOD.

17 For GOD sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of GOD.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in GOD.

You asked:How is Jesus and God one,and Jesus was sent by God?

Now,didn't you(and all like you)still understand or interpret this mystery?Does not the Word testify that He is GOD?Yes,He does. The Word is GOD,self-executing or self-executable,understand?The Word is from everlasting to everlasting, the Word has not beginning, neither ending. As you and all know,JESUS is the beginning and the ending

For clarifying the great and deep MYSTERY of GOD sent JESUS,and both the Father and the Son be One,hope that you and all understand meditating in what the Word Himself said by/through His prophet Isaiah around year750BC- Isaiah 9:6-7:

6For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given:and the government shall be upon His shoulder:and His NAME shall be called Wonderful,Counsellor,The MIGHTY GOD(Mat.28:18 and Rev.1:8,among biblical references),The everlasting Father,The Prince of Peace

7Of the increase of His government( Revelation 11:15-18)and peace there shall be no end, upon the Throne of David, and upon His KINGDOM,to order it,and to ESTABLISH IT with Judgment and with Justice from henceforth even for ever. The ZEAL of the LORD of hosts will perform this

Then, having passed around 750years after the Word have said prophetically the message above through His servant Isaiah,by the way,Isaiah is one of the 24 elders, the Word LITERALLY fulfilled His wonderful promise to send His Son,exactly in the END of the 4th Day and beginning of the 5th Day,actually in the TURN from the 4th to the 5th millennium after Adam,or 2000 years ago.THEN the Word was MADE FLESH,as said John Apostle- John 1:14-,and dwelt among us,(and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,)-JESUS WAS BORN-full of grace and truth

Heb.1:1-3->1GOD,who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,2-Has in these last days spoken unto us by His Son...3 Who being the brightness of His glory, the EXPRESS IMAGE OF THE PERSON OF GOD...
