    2 of 2 Chap 15

God as he ought, and he subverts them out from their pure virtue, feeding his lust in pride and voluptuousness, with that which should keep him from hunger and nakedness', and so pleasing the lust in all things more than satisfying pure nature, and this ought not to be, for it is out of the covenant of God, in which all creatures was made, and in which they stand, except the creature man, who is degenerated out of Gods covenant, and subverts all things to his own end, and not unto the glory of God, while he continues in that state unreconciled to God, but man being restored, and redeemed, and renewed again into covenant with God, through the condemning of the evil, then all creatures to him are restored, and made blessed, the curse being removed out of his own heart, the creatures are no longer cursed to him, but good and decent, and enjoyed, and received in the covenant of God in the life and virtue by which they were created, and by the wisdom which they were made, man comes to order them, and exercise himself in them, and no more are they spent upon the lust, nor on the vain mind, nor ruled over in oppression, but all that is condemned, and all creatures are seen to be the Lords, and the whole earth is his and the fullness thereof, and the abuse of all creatures is ceased, and they are enjoyed in their pure virtue to feed and to cloth the creature, and not to be destroyed upon the lust, but for the health's-sake are they used to the glory of the Creator, and unto the end wherefore he created them, and are pure as they were in the beginning; and the blessing is felt which is more than all creatures.

Chap 14 A Standard lifted up & an Ensign unto all Nations

Concerning the Devil and Damnation, this testimony I give to all people.

There is a Devil which is out of the truth, who abode not in the truth but is a liar from the beginning, and the father of all evil and evil doing, and the author of all unrighteousness, and whatsoever is contrary to God in thought, word, and action, he is the enmity against God and against all good, and by his power subverts creatures and things to another end than wherefore they were created, even to the dishonor of the Creator, he is the god of this world, the Prince of darkness, and he rules King in all the children's of the first Adam, who are in evil: he was the cause of the first transgression, and is the cause of disobedience to God to this day in all people, who are led by him, moving all them to envy, wrath, pride, whoredom, drunkenness', theft, and murder, and all the works of darkness, sin, and death, he is the fountain and root of all these, and the leader and ruler in the exercise of them, and of every evil word and work whatsoever which are contrary to God, he abode not in the truth, and he hath led all mankind out of truth into all deceit and unrighteousness, and into every evil way, and he dwells in darkness, and inhabits in thick darkness, and is out of the light, and is separate from the presence of God for ever bound in chains of darkness and ignorance, and unbelief and he hath power in the earthly part of man, and a law in the members, and he possesses him that is born

Chap 14 A Standard lifted up & an Ensign unto all Nations

of the flesh, & his covenant is with him who is not born of the seed of God, who cannot sin, such are in covenant with God, and renewed into his image, but such as are not, hath the Devil power in to captivate and lead their minds into vanity, and their affections and desires into all that which is evil, by which the Spirit of God the Creator of all things is grieved and his soul vexed, and all murder and deceitful works of the world; and all whatsoever is contrary to God in words, thoughts, or actions, is of the Devil that wicked one, and from him and all that follow his moving, and worketh evil thereby, they serve him and obey him, he is their God and their King, and they are his people, and his subjects, he is their father, and they are his children, he is their root, and they are his off-spring, and brings forth fruit unto him, and serves and worships him, and not the true God that made all things, and all such must be cast into utter darkness with him, and shall have their portion with him in the bottomless pit of darkness' for ever and ever, where there is no end of woe, and sorrow, and misery, for in the anger of God there the worm dies nor, nor the fire is not quenched, and out of that there is no redemption for the unclean; and all such who are led of him, who is out of the truth and in evil, are judged, and condemned, and damned by him, who is the Truth, who judged righteously; and as he hath not ceased to work evil, and to draw the children of men into evil, for he continually tempted to lead from God into rebellion against him. And they that are led by him are destroyed, and he shall not cease to sorrow, woe, and misery for ever, as he hath not ceased to work evil, he lived and moves in the anger of God, his beginning was in it, and all his works are in it, and it shall be the reward of him, and all that obey him in the separation from Gods everlasting presence, for ever and ever.

The "touch me not" comment, was actually more along the lines of " don't detain me, or don't cling to me and hold me up, one of the many "translation" dilemmas we encounter.

    >The Bible is very clear that when Christ applies His Salvation to one of His Elect and they become "saved", they become Born Again, they are given ETERNAL LIFE at that moment.

I agree with the sleep until Jesus comes, because that's what the Bible says.

However, are these verses that say we'll not be saved now but later conflict with your view?

1 Peter 1:5 - "...salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

IN THE LAST TIME, not NOW.

1 Peter 1:13 "...hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"

    THE END

Matthew 24:13 "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

DOES NOT SAY HE THAT ENDURE NOW, IS SAVED NOW. IT SAYS UNTO THE END, WHICH MEANS THE END, NOT NOW.

Hebrews 10:36 "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise."

PATIENCE. IF YOURE SAVED NOW WHY NEED PATIENCE. YE "MIGHT" RECEIVE.. ITS CONDITIONAL.

Above are 4 verses saying we're saved later, not now. Can you find 4 or more verses that say we're saved now and not later?

    Jema and others,

The Bible is very clear that when Christ applies His Salvation to one of His Elect and they become "saved", they become Born Again, they are given ETERNAL LIFE at that moment. This occurs in their Soul, which then can NEVER DIE. But their Body has not yet become "saved" and will die.

So when the True Believer dies, their Body goes into the grave and corrupts; and must wait the Last Day to be Resurrected a Spiritual Body. But in their Soul, they go immediately to be with Christ in Heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at HOME in the body, we are ABSENT from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be ABSENT from the body, and to be PRESENT with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 3:13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the COMING of our Lord Jesus Christ WITH ALL HIS SAINTS.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-16 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God BRING WITH HIM. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Jude 1:14,15 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, THE LORD COMETH WITH TEN THOUSANDS OF HIS SAINTS, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

    Hi S Spencer,

Thank you, that may very well be what Jesus did and the reason Mary could not touch Him. It goes along with what we are told what Jesus did in Hebrews, whether it was when He first ascended or 40 days later when He ascended on a cloud. It may be one of those things we will not know for sure.

My thoughts were on the feasts Jesus fulfilled, the Passover, the Sacrificial Lamb, the feast of Unleavened Bread, His perfect life with no sin/leaven, and the Feast of First Fruits, the first fruits/firstborn of the dead, and 50 days later the Feast of Weeks/Pentecost with the giving of the Spirit.

    Thanks again, God bless,

    Jema:

I know you study the word; but when we have preconceived beliefs carried in our carnal mind, we tend to read over words of TRUTH that disagree with our carnal mind; that's the way God made us, so when we come to TRUTH we know it WAS NOT of OURSELVES; but of GOD, HIS WORK, not the work of our hands.

You have said more than once that your going to died and lay in the grave until the resurrection, is this TRUE for BELIEVERS, or is this ONLY TRUE for unbelievers.

You said death is the cessation of life. Christ is IMMORTAL LIFE, raised by the Spirit of OUR Father, LIFE CANNOT DIE, the (OUR)

body is DEAD without LIFE (Christ), ALL flesh DIED on the CROSS, ONLY ONE BODY AROSE, the BODY of CHRIST: YOU (BELIEVERS).

By study of his word, HE is going TO CAUSE YOU to BELIEVE.

When we, by the Spirit of Christ, make comments on this forum, we should never cut and paste scriptures, but literally type God's words; those words become life unto you, they dislodge and replace the thoughts of our carnal mind.

If you want the many scriptures that says we DIED and were RESURRECTED with Christ and we can NEVER DIE ANYMORE, I will type them for you, I believe you know those scriptures from study; but those scripture have NOT YET become TRUTH to you.

Isaiah 26:19 .... TOGETHER with MY (Christ) dead body shall they ARISE .......

    God Bless YOU!

    Chap 13

Concerning the word of God, and concerning the Scriptures, this testimony I give unto all the World.

The Word of God was in the beginning before any creatures were made, and by it all things stand and remain unto this day, and the world endures for ever, and by it all things in Heaven and in Earth are brought to pass which God doth, and it is from everlasting to everlasting, with out beginning and without end, and the word is powerful dividing and discerning all things, even the secret thoughts of every mans heart, it is a two-edged sword, and as a fire, and like a hammer to cut up, to burn, and to beat down, the Word of the Lord reconciles man again to him, and this Word is in the mouth, in the heart, and the servants of the Lord handled, tasted, saw and felt the Word of life, and from it spoke forth the Scriptures, as they were moved by the Holy Ghost through the eternal Spirit, and it is a declaration of the Word of life, which was in the beginning, and endures for ever, and it declares what the Saints received, believed, and enjoyed, and none can understand it without the same Spirit that gave it forth, and to such who have the same Spirit the Scripture is profitable, the Word of God which was in the beginning, and which endures for ever, is not the Scripture which was not in the beginning, neither can it endure for ever, but the Scripture testifies of that Word, and that Word witnesses to the Scripture, and they are not contrary one to the other, but gives witness each of other, but many hath the Scripture that hath not the Word, neither knows it, but they that have the Word cannot but own the Scriptures, and this the truth as it is in Jesus testified to all the world by us, who doth deny them that hereof gives any other testimony

Chap 12 A Standard lifted up & an Ensign unto all nations

Concerning the Gospel of Christ, this is my testimony unto all the world.

The Gospel is the power of God, and it is sent of him into the world to reconcile people unto him, that have been in the enmity against him, it is peace to the poor in spirit, and judgement to the fat, and to the high minded, and it is to be preached to every creature (male and female) under Heaven without respect of Peoples, Nations, or generations, it is the manifestation of the love of God to the whole world, together people out of all unrighteousness into the living way of life, peace and truth, to walk with God in purity and holiness, and to deny the world and all its ways, and works, and worships which are evil, and by it some are brought to God, and to salvation, and life eternal, and some through it are hardened against God, that they may be destroyed and condemned, who are reprobates and believes not in him from whom the Gospel comes, and it cannot be received by any other way or means, than by the revelation of Jesus Christ in the hearts of his people, and many have the letter which knows not the Gospel, nor hath received it, and this Gospel which is everlasting, have we received from God, and this is the sound of it which we give in the world unto the world: fear God and give glory to him for the hour of his judgements is come, and this is the everlasting Gospel of salvation, he that can receive it let him,

    The Gospel

    The REST of Salvation

Psalms 95 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my REST.

Yes ! We are not immortal ! We die , death is death , the sessation of life ! The end . We put on immortality when we are ressurected at the last day and found to be acceptable to God through Christ . In the meantime we sleep in the grave , knowing nothing . Immortality is the gift from God for having faith in His Son and in the ressurection to eternal life , we have to be ressurected to eternal life ! This happens when Christ returns to earth to sort the wheat from the chaff .

    Hello Jordyn,

Can you please expand on your suggestion to "meditate" on the bible passage? When I hear the word meditate I am thrust into the "new age" domain of transcendental and "higher power" rituals. If there is a way or method this can be used to honor God I will appreciate knowing this. Also, I don't know how to meditate or what have you.

Thank you so much for sharing in this thread.

Thank you.! For typing these verses helping us to win the lost to Jesus & be 'Reborn/Saved by Repenting. Awesome.! Bless you.

Yet to clarify for those that are new: 1 Peter 3:21, (as goes w/a few other verses suchas John 3:3-21, 12:43-50 & Titus 3:5. "To be born again/saved after repenting is *except Christ as Lord, believe in His DBR & therefore being in His spirit as one by Gods grace & it is thru this, that we are saved*, which is the ONLY thing getting us to heaven.! NOTHING else is needed.!

Referance of being baptised 'of' (not 'in') water is of the mothers womb for God being ALL OMNI- knew man would some day try & duplicate His creation. (As man is now). BEFORE Christ DBR there was water baptism. Spititual baptistm is when one chooses (Gods freewill, not forced) to repent excepting His DBR as truth in their heart.! Wolves in sheep clothing may lead them to Christ yet God will guide them to His truth in His time for His purpose.

Water baptism is merely an outword show of our salvation for others to help hold us accountable. We can be comforted w/His peace that passes ALL understanding if we continually seek His word. We'll go through trials till He knows if we're strong enough in His wisdom to complete His way for us.! Did the thief nx to Jesus come down from the cross, get baptised & placed bk up to die? No, Christ knew his heart was sincere, forgave him instantly, of his sins & said "today you shall be with me in paradise".! No water needed.!

As for " 1 Cor 14, Yes tongues Is a gift for some (NOT entire congregation) from God or at times were 2-3 (no more) gather (again HE knows their heart so to do so w/out an interpreter in anyother situation is blasphemy). Only truly believing His DBR will get us eternity in heaven.

John 3:15-21 (Christ own words). Doesn't say 'believe in me & do this or that'. The period after Everlasting life.

    Hi Ronald.

    Interesting viewpoint.

Here's another one that I find provocative.

In John 20:17, the word translated "touch" is a Greek word which means "to cling to, to lay hold of.

She wanted to worship him and never loose him again.

But there was still work to be done in cleansing our temple by presenting himself in our behalf.

Then in the same verse Jesus says why he told Mary not to touch him.

"FOR I AM NOT YET ASCENDED TO MY FATHER.

I believe Jesus was in his role as the High priest as this point.

He was to present himself as the sacrifice.

    Hebrews 9:25-26. Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

    Hebrews 10:12-22. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

    This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

    By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

    And having an high priest over the house of God;

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

    God bless.

    Hi Ronald.

I agree with Gigi, We are to gather from those who are gifted to teach, preach, and proclaim.

    Jesus said; He is truth!

He also said, "My sheep hear my voice!

When truth is proclaimed it's Christ spirit in us that discerns it.

In 1 Corinthians 3:5-7 Paul illustrates this concept of teaching.

We are to do as the Bereans in Acts 17:11 and test the scriptures to see if these things be true.

I believe we should approach the scripture as babes in Christ and not just examine others doctrine but also constantly examining our own, testing scripture with scripture and applying proper hermeneutics.

We take what we have learned from others and see if it holds up over time as we grow.

    God bless.

    Hi GiGi,

I agree with what you are saying, I know I have, and you have said here before, we grow daily, and our understandings have changed over the years. The Holy Spirit opens our eyes to truth as we can bear it or willing to use it. What I am saying is when we study, we are in search of truth whether it agrees with what we have been taught or not.

But when we study in prayer without what we have been taught in our mind and if what we are shown by the Spirit is what we have been taught, great. What if it is not? Are we willing to accept the truth? What will it cost? Are we willing to be persecuted by church members, friends', family members if we accept the truth and speak it? We are to worship God, in spirit and in truth, John 4:23-24.

If we are not willing to embrace the truth, regardless of what it will cost us, it will never be shown to us. I know we do not agree on one doctrine, but are we willing to honestly study any doctrine for the truth? All I say is in love and caring. I hope you take this in love and are not offended.

    God bless,

    The Gospel. (Pg 2)

    The REST of Salvation.

Hebrews 4 For unto us was the GOSPEL preached, as well as unto them:but the WORD preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.For we which have believed do enter into REST,as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my REST:although the WORKS were FINISHED FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did REST the seventh day from ALL HIS WORKS. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my REST. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them REST, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a REST to the people of God. For he that is entered into his REST, he also hath CREASED FROM HIS OWN WORKS AS GOD DID FROM His. Let us labour therefore to enter into that REST, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight:but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

    The Gospel

Isa 53 Who hath believed our report?and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground:he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.He is despised and rejected of men;a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:and we hid as it were our faces from him;he was despised, and we esteemed him not.Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions,he was bruised for our iniquities:the chastisement of our peace was upon him;and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way;and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth:he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb,so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment:and who shall declare his generation?for he was cut off out of the land of the living:for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death;because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him;he hath put him to grief:when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied:by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many;for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong;because he hath poured out his soul unto death:and he was numbered with the transgressors;and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Chap 10 Concerning Governors, and Governments, and Subjection to this testimony I give to the world.

Governors, Rulers, and Magistrates we own, and do respect in the Lord; (and yet cannot respect any mans person whatsoever) such as be a terror to all evil in their government, and that fears God and hates covetousness, and delights in equity, in justice, and true judgement, and gives diligent heed to try the cause of the poor, and will judge justly without respect of men, who justifies the good and gives praise to the well-doer, such Government and Governors we reverence, where sin and iniquity is kept under, drunkenness, swearing, Murder, quarrelling, and all the ways and works of the flesh are terrified, and a welldoer praised and justified, this Government of men, reaches to the witness of God in every man, and that answers to the justice and righteousness of all such Governors and Government, and these witnesses that they are of God, but the witness of God in every man, bears witness against all unjust men, and Laws, and Rulers, and Governments, which strengthened the hands of the wicked, and oppresses the just, where the making and execution of Laws are in the power of proud men, and covetous men, who fears not God, neither hates covetousness, neither doth respect the cause of the poor but rules by their wills and tyranny, and not by just Laws in righteousness; but makes unrighteous decrees to oppresses the poor and innocent, letting the wicked go free, such who upholds unrighteous worships, and teachers by oppression, and cause the innocent to suffer, and makes them offenders, because the exercise of a pure

THE Kingdom of God and of his Son, is not of this world, but is from above and stands in righteousness and in truth, in mercy and in peace, in true judgement and justice, and this dominion is from everlasting to everlasting, and it reaches beyond all the world, and its Government is love and unity, and everlasting peace, and is prefect liberty to the just and binds and chains the unjust; in it there is no oppression but perfect freedom from all unrighteousness, and it consists not in word, but in power, to the bringing down of the Kingdome of the devil, and to the breaking off the bonds of all injustice, and all ungodliness which is the Kingdom of Satan, which hath long ruled in the world, that Kingdom whereof Christ is King, which stands in righteousness, no unclean thing can have any part therein, and this we believe it shall be set up and advanced in the earth, but not by might of man or arm of flesh, not the multitude of an host, neither by policy, nor craft, nor by revenge, but by the arm of the Lord alone, through the suffering and patience of his people, and by faithful witness bearing unto Jesus Christ by doing and by suffering, by doing his will in all things in a pure life and conversation, and upright walking in the sight of the Lord, and by patient suffering under the injustice and oppression of men, and of their unjust Government and Laws, till they be overturned and confounded; and further we give testimony, that suffering in patience under the cruelty and oppression of the devils government and Kingdom; more reaches to overthrow them than the rising to rebel in any way of outward offence toward them, or defense from them, and the Kingdom of Christ is near to come, and the Kingdoms of this world shall be changed, and none shall have any part therein but they that are redeemed out of kindreds, tongues, and people: this we believe, he that can receive it let him.

Chap 8 A Standard lifted up

Justification is freely by Jesus Christ in the sight of the Father, and not by the works of mans own righteousness, and such as are taught by Christ, and guided by him in all the ways of truth and righteousness, are justified by him, and none else, not in any word or work whatsoever, but in what they are led to fulfill by him, and it is the new man that is justified and not the old, he that is born of God, and none that are born of the flesh, such cannot please God, neither can such be justified by him, for they are not taught of him, nor saved, nor restored, nor redeemed, and therefore are not justified nor cleared from condemnation in the sight of the Lord, but who lives in iniquity, and sin, and the ways and works of the world, which are evil, by Christ Jesus are condemned and not justified, though in words they professes him, yet of justification by him they have no part, and sanctification is by the working of the eternal Spirit in the heart of the creature, which purges out and taketh away all unrighteousness, and all the works and fruits of darkness: it witnessed against, and witnessed unto Jesus, who takes away all sin, and destroys the works of the devil, that man may be holy and pure in the sight of his Maker; and every one that hath the witness of his justification hath the operation by the eternal spirit of sanctification, and all that receives Christ Jesus, who hath lighted every man that cometh into the world, receives sanctification and justification by him, and he unto us is made so of the Father, he that can receive it let him,
