Hi Jimbob & thank you for sharing this. I'll leave the matter of who the 'saints' are; I brought this up earlier. But to Revelation 19:7-9: in the context of the whole chapter, I read those verses differently to you. There was great praise going on in Heaven, with the words, "for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready (v7)". Christ, the Lamb, was being made ready for His Wife (the Church) & the Voice from God's Throne told John to write, "Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb." Was this supper to take place forthwith, since the Bride was there & ready & waiting?

If I had to analyse it, I would say, No. The Bride was not altogether there - there were yet more to join them so that the marriage supper could take place. The announcement at verse 9, was the imminency of this marriage supper: the bride was already there (raptured saints?), but not the full number (tribulation saints?). Then in Revelation 19:11-21, we see the Lamb, not enjoying this time with His Bride, the Church, but going out to war against the beast, false prophet & those having the beast's mark on them - all being killed & consigned to the Lake of Fire. Then John was given the vision, "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years ( Revelation 20:4). Here is the 'first resurrection' of those living in the tribulation days, who rejected the beast & his mark, & were beheaded for their love for Jesus & together with the saints from Heaven, share in that great Supper time.

    Blessings DDGC,

It sounds as if you are in a state of mind in which you cannot experience peace and God's Love. This need not be. You can be sure it is NOT the Holy Spirit Who hides truth when God's Will is that we receive and accept it. Neither is it He Who forces His Will upon us, as that would be a violation of our free will to choose to listen to Him. The Voice of the Holy Spirit does not command because It is incapable of arrogance. It does not demand, because It does not seek control. To "force" is to overcome which is a form of attack, which is also something He is incapable of. All of these actions and qualities are not the effects of Love which is What and Who God is. Rather, they result from the part of a split mind who believes fear and love are the same.

Another voice who does NOT love you is attempting to steer you away from MEANING, by focusing on letters and numbers in words.

God is Spirit, and only God is ONLY Holy. He created us in His Own Likeness. Therefore, in reality you are holy because your mind is part of God's. And because you are holy, your sight must be holy as well. "Sinless" means without sin. You cannot be without sin a little. You are sinless or not. If your mind is part of God's you must be sinless, or part of His Mind would be sinful. Your real sight is related to His Holiness, therefore not to your body's eyes.

Our holiness reverses all the laws of this world. It is beyond every restriction of time, space, distance and limits of any kind. Our holiness is totally unlimited in its power because it establishes you as a Son of God, at one with the Mind of his Creator. You are holy because all things God created are holy; and eternal.

There is no second to God. there cannot, therefore, be anyone without His Holiness, nor anyone unworthy of His Perfect Love.

I thank you Father for Your perfect son. And in his glory will I see my own. Amen.

    Peace

    God Is

Thank you David0920, I agree again with what you've shared here. And the examples you gave of Ruth & Lazarus do clearly illustrate the Gospel message or of our release of sin's deathly grip on our lives. Indeed, to other folk, there may be elements within those accounts that will leap out & speak to them in other ways, such as: faithfulness, devotion, singlemindedness, etc. To each one, the Spirit will speak & touch on those points from the Word that are most necessary for HIS Work to be carried out in their lives.

But also what interested me from your comment was your point 2, "We are to interpret Scripture with Scripture." Looking at that statement, who could disagree with you, as that is one of the primary ways of really understanding the biblical accounts, getting them in correct perspective & that which gives a fuller understanding of the Truth. But at the risk of offending some here, we often read comments such as a recent one: stating that the Lake of Fire "as being God Himself since God is a consuming fire" (here we get two Scriptures that reveal Truth: one referenced to Revelation 20:14 & the other to Hebrews 12:29). So now we get another example of someone showing his version of 'Scripture interpreting Scripture'. Is this then a case of Scripture interpreting Scripture? It is true, 'Fire' is common to both verses, but isn't the promise of an eternal Lake of Fire given to all "not found written in the book of life", rather than Fire being God Himself & by extension, God ridding the filth of all found there & finally saving them, as going through fire for cleansing? How we interpret this Truth can give totally opposite meanings which not only distorts the Word but leads the unlearned into confusion & a false understanding.

So this was the point I was making: that there is a correct method of comparing Scripture to Scripture, and I couldn't discern your position on this, or was it just a general post to all of us to correctly interpret the Bible?

Chris thanks again, I'm sorry but I should have added a p.2 to that last one. Rev.13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, .. Now to look at Rev.13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, ((whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb)) slain from the foundation of the world. Everybody on earth will worship the antichrist ((except those whose names are written in the Lambs book of life)) If your name is written in the Lambs book of life wouldn't you have been taken, or caught up before this happens, if there were a pre-tribulation rapture? There would have to be a separation of people who have their names written in the Lambs book of life, if there's a pre-tribulation rapture. That would also mean there's more than one resurrection wouldn't it? Rev.20:4-6 Verse 4 tells us those who were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had NOT WORSHIPPED THE BEAST, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands. This would be the same time period the antichrist makes war with the saints, they will reign with Christ for a 1000 years. Verse 5 tells us ((This is the first resurrection)) If there was a pre-tribulation rapture then wouldn't that rapture be the first resurrection? I'm sorry Chris I really do appreciate you responding as much as you have but I just see to many holes in the pre-tribulation rapture, there are to many scriptures that contradict it. These are pretty straight forward verses and I believe they are used in context, if you see it differently then please show me what was taken out of context. Again I do thank you Chris.

I can go on and on with letters and numbers and words. I don't know all that is happening to me but I want stopped. I am forced to read and think these words and don't want to be forced from I don't know who!

Chris thank you again. I think the saints spoken of in Rev.13:7 are the church, the body of Christ. The word (saints) is #40 in Greek; it means sacred, pure, morally blameless or religious, consecrated, (most) holy. Now we look at the marriage supper of the Lamb. Rev.19:7-9 (7) Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and ((his wife)) hath made herself ready. (8) And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for (the fine linen is the righteousness of saints). (9) And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are ((called)) unto the marriage supper of the Lamb, And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. The word ((called)) is #2564; it means to "call" a loud, bid, call (forth) whose name was (called) (His wife hath made herself ready, so the bride in there). The bride, or the body of Christ, the church, the elect were (called) aloud. Eph.1:22-23 (22) And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church. (23) Which is his body the fulness of him that fitteth all in all. (These verses tell us the church is the body of Christ) The word (church) is #1577; it means a calling out. (So the church, the body of Christ, the bride of Christ are those in Rev.19:7-9, who were called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb) Now in Mk.13:20 An except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the (elect's) sake, whom he hath (chosen), he hath shortened the days. The word (elect's) is #1588; it means select, by implying favorite, chosen, elect, to select, make choice, choose (out) chosen. (The elect are Gods chosen ones. His favorite, His choice). The word (chosen) in this verse is #1586; it means to select, make choice, choose (out) These are all the same , those who are called out, are the church, the body of Christ, the bride of Christ, the elect. (The elect are gathered After the tribulation).

Hi Vince, God blessed us with the ability to have fun and happy lovable pets. While the Bible doesn't answer this specifically, the Bible describes heaven as an amazing place full of love, joy, and probably every possible positive emotion on earth we experience times a million. Those who described the visions of heaven seemed to lack the words to even convey how awesome it is. Total love and happiness with no downside. So, basically, you have nothing to be concerned about. Many of these answers will only be revealed then.

This verse suggests there could be animals in heaven:

"And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever." Revelation 5:13 KJV

On the other hand, I don't think people who died of dog attacks, snake bites or shark attacks, etc will be forced to live in fear with those same creatures in heaven. I think God has it under control where people have nothing to worry about. To me its not like looking for an apartment. There's only one super obvious positive choice, and one super horrible choice.

What about Jesus! --> John 5:39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."

I have just learned that there are scriptures missing from my bible, (KJV). I did not know this was a thing. Where can I find Jeremiah 1:30 / 1:36, in regular print? Have these scriptures been completely excluded from all versions of the KJV? Suddenly, I feel weird about this, and I wanted to submit my question.

Being saved and being born again are two completely different things.

Our enemy is DEATH; were were SAVED from DEATH by Christ our PASSOVER sacrifice, all men are saved from death because of his blood.

You are born again by coming to TRUTH by the word's of GOD.

Only a FEW will come to TRUTH and be SONS OF GOD, those FEW will be JUDGES to the rest saved from death (at the second resurrection).

    God Bless YOU!

1st Peter 3:21, "The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us {not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,} by the resurrection of Jesus Christ". [Bible also says even 8 souls were saved by water in the days of Noah & the ark].

Colossians 21:12, "Buried w him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen w him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead".

Mark 16:16, " He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned".

Mark 16:17, "And these signs which will follow them that believe, In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues".

Ask the Lord to fill you with the Holy Ghost. Then we must walk in the Spirit & be led by the Spirit. So many say they have the Holy Ghost & they do not. If we dont love this truth, we will be deceived.

We must OBEY the gospel, not just read it. The epistles are not written to the world. It is written to the brethren, to the people that came from the book of Acts. They were water baptized in Jesus name, filled w the Holy Ghost & were a saved people.

There was no such thing as a triune God. It is a devil lie.

The Lord our God is one Lord.

Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom of heaven in Matthew.

Matthew 16:19, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven".

There is a remnant that will be saved.

We must continue to grow in the Lord . Never be comfortable.

Dont be like the 5 foolish virgins that did not keep their oil burning. They were not keeping the Holy Ghost full in their hearts. In the end, they were not allowed into the door.

Be full of the Holy Ghost & love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind & strength & love thy neighbor as thyself. With love, this is how we obey his commandments.

    Hallelujah and amen

    Ian:

John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life.

Anti means to be opposite that scripture.

A person believes his Life is himself, instead of the LIFE being GOD IN YOU.

The person believes they have FREE WILL.

If you have come to truth you understand that since God is the LIFE IN YOU, it's God's WILL being done IN YOU

There is NO SINGLE antichrist, just millions of antichrist.

1 John 2:18 ....and you have heard that antichrist shall come, even NOW are there many (millions) of antichrist

2 John 1:7 .....who confess not Jesus IS COME in the FLESH .....Christ CAME ONCE, and has already come the SECOND TIME: IN THE FLESH, you can't see him, he came like a thief in the night. The KINGDOM is not in OBSERVATION but UNDERSTANDING.

John 17:22 ....that they may be one, even as we are one ....

Because of the WORKS of the resurrection; ALL FLESH died with Christ, and ALL FLESH rose with Christ, 1 Corinthians 12:27 YOU ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST ....

BELIEVE: Christ has COME IN the flesh: YOU and I and ALL.

Colossisns 1:27 .....THIS MYSTERY .....CHRIST IN YOU .......

Isaiah 28:1 .... that he may do his work (the WORK OF HIS CROSS), his STRANGE WORK, his ACT his STRANGE ACT .....

    A NEW CREATION

FEW believe this, it makes for many antichrist.

    God Bless YOU!

Lemme continue a bit about that New Covenant in the blood of Jesus at Calvary....If the O.C. the written word cd have redeemed the world God wd not have offered up his only son to suffer for the sins of the world.....Under this N.C. its the anointing the H.G. that is gonna teach us all things....1 st John 2:27....When he had taken the cup he says this is the N.C. IN MY BLOOD DRINK YE ALL OF IT....The bible is precious but it answers to the lesser light the O.C. The levitical Priesthood.... John 5 :39...Thats y he is saying search the Scriptures (the written words) in them you think you have eternal life but it is them that testify of me...Which is that book the N.C. in the right hand of the father...That book of life in Rev.5:1....Its only the living words that book in the right hand of the father that testifies of Jesus....When he the spirit of truth is come he will bare witness of me...Testify of me.

.....The woman in Rev 12:5 has the testimony of Jesus which is the manchild the H.G. that he said wd bare witness of me....Its only the H.G. The manchild which is that spirit of truth that will rule all nations...Thats y he said these things are hid from the wise and prudent but only revealed unto babes and sucklings....which are that Israel of God the H.G (spirits) that are gonna be born in us via hearing his living words...My words are spirit and life much greater then written words...When he breathe on them he was propagating very God with his breath which was his seeds...His living words...He wants to impregnate this whole world with his precious seed Thats the only way our names can be written in the book of life...That N.C. in his blood....Whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire...Thats the book of life in the fathers right hand that wrote with his own blood....The lake of fire is God himself....As our God is a consuming fire....There wd have been no need of a N.C. in his blood if the written word cd suffice.

    Amen Brother David:

I agree with you; Ruth the Moabite, and God's people were commanded to have nothing to do with the Moabites, is a shadow and prophecy of God's salvation to ALL MEN; rolled inside of a historical event. God tells us NOT to do something and then SAVES US when we do it.

When you believe God's words he reveals himself to you, if you won't believe his words, you will never mature, and I can see you are maturing. Read the account of Jacob and the ladder; Genesis 28:11-22, Jacob being Christ, It is a perfect shadow and prophecy of Christ, inside a historical event, you probably have already reconised it.

John 1:51 ....hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the son of man .......

    God Bless YOU!

    Hello Chris,

I believe there is nothing more basic and important when studying scripture than how we approach the Bible. I tried to make clear my understanding and belief in my opening post to this thread. I did that because on this forum I see what appear to be varying understandings regarding this crucial matter. So let me again state what I believe the Bible teaches regarding this.

When trying to understand what the Bible is teaching we must start with two important principles:

    1. The Bible alone and in its entirety is the Word of God.

    2. We are to interpret Scripture with Scripture.

But there is, I believe, a third principle that is of very great importance if we are to realize most fully

the spiritual riches hidden within the Bible.

That principle is that the Bible ordinarily has more than one level of meaning. And these are:

    1. The historical setting

    2. The moral or spiritual teaching

    3. The salvation account

This third level does indeed often involve parables and not only when God declares that a particular passage is a parable, but in many of the historical accounts throughout the Bible, which are absolutely accurate, and God use language, that when properly understood by allowing the Bible to be its own interpreter and dictionary, comparing scripture with scripture, God is teaching a deeper spiritual lesson that involves some aspect of the Gospel.

For example, all of the ceremonial laws in the Old Testament, while being laws that Israel was commanded to observe, were types and figures teaching something about the Nature of Salvation. The Book of Ruth, while being a beautiful love story, is dripping with the Gospel in nearly every verse as Ruth the Moabites, a cursed woman representing every believer before they are saved, is rescued by Boaz, a figure of Christ. And when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, this was a picture of salvation as we are all Dead in trespasses and sins and Christ does 100% of the work in bringing us to spiritual life.

I posted fairly recently a response indicating that angels are messengers according to scripture; and they also represent the pastors of given churches. Hence; the removal of such can indicate that the "candlestick" is removed and can refer to the truth departing and hence there being a "dead" church. That can refer to lifeless; legalistic faith and/or a compromised Gospel being let in the door; which could signify the death or removal of the original Pastor and/or someone new teaching falsehood. It can likely refer to an angel as well; those who would surround anyone (as promises in Psalm 91 would give us all as Spirit filled believers). Thence; the protection or hedge would be removed and this is due to the Holy Spirit's influence departing. It probably would also indicate that doctrines of demons would have them take over in the angelic realm.

God warns in Revelation 3:11 about not losing our reward or crowns. God will use whoever is willing to fulfill the Great Commission and to do His works as long as His Body remains on earth in the church; of course the warning is to individuals in that text but as we see with the Ephesian church when the first love is abandoned true doctrine can still be present but the Lord is no longer living within a congregation.

Later on in Revelation when the church is removed angels themselves (likely high ranking) cover large geographical areas proclaiming the Gospel themselves. They are presently here to guard us and protect us and strengthen us for the task at hand and are of course in the backdrop. Any angels demanding worship or working through an agent to preach falsehood are "anathema" and thus are accursed along with those who follow such damnable heresies.

Let us remain faithful so that the Spirit will not be grieved and that He will dwell within His followers. This requires fear of the Lord and resulting obedience out of love.

Lemme ramble a bit about the written word vs the living word the new covenant in his blood at Calvary...2 Cor.3:6 thou has made us able ministers of the New Covenant...The living word which is spirit the H.G a living being that has to be born in us...Remember Israel was sola scriptura they knew the written word by heart...But Israel stoned all the prophets and rejected the Christ so much for the written word....The written word cd not address nor arrest mans evil nature...David comes to mind a law man, But the written word cd not help David when he saw Bathsheba bathin....Thats y God wanted a new covenant a Covenant that cd address mans evil nature...Satans seat can only be addresed by the blood of the lamb of God....Behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world....The old covenant the written word cd not plz God entirely...God wanted a perfect Israel...Be ye perfect as your father in heaven is perfect.

Thus the need for a New Covenant in the blood of Christ Jesus..For God has made us able ministers of the N.C. Not of the letter the written word but of the spirit the living Word... 2 Cor. 3:6...The letter kills but the Spirit gives life....The written word is a light, we need the written word...But the written word answers to the lesser light...But the living word is the greater light..Jesus said are there not 12 hrs in a day and 12 hrs in a nite...But if any man walk in the nite he will stumble...Bible only no living words the H.G....That Living being the H.G. that Child of Promise that has to be born in us...The N.C. Which is our new heart and new spirit....She brought forth a man child that is gonna rule all nations...Unless you receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in...As peter said being bornagain of an incorruptible seed even by the words of God that LIVETH and ABIDETH for ever...The written word contains no such seeds....Where shall we go lord thou has the words of eternal life...My words are spirit. N.C.

1.I have a question, i use to hear many christians mentioning that the mark of the beast has been implemented already, isn't that the implementation of the mark will be done forcefully?

    2. Antichrist- means rejecting God, not believing in Christ. My question is how is the teaching of the antichrist administered, do they directly reject God in their teaching or not ? how shall we say then, should one say all prophets who are demonstrating power in their ministries false ?

    Thank you.

Hi Marty. This Hebrews 12:14 verse is written to Christians (of mainly Jewish origin), to pursue not only peace with all men (not just Christians), and lest they think that a peaceable state of living is sufficient to gain God's pleasure in them, the writer says, "and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord".

So how to explain this to an unbeliever? An unbeliever may have some opinions, but usually 'holiness' is beyond their understanding. When sharing the Gospel with him, the whole focus must be on our sinfulness, our wretched hell-bound state before God & nothing we can ever do could make that great payment that would absolve us from all guilt & judgement. I'm sure you have shared the Gospel in this way, with supporting Scriptures, but he may ask, 'what then - what comes after I confess my sin & sinful state & receive God's forgiveness based on His Son's paying the price I couldn't pay?'

The next step for a new believer is to be baptized: a public testimony to both himself before God & to others that he has left his old sinful life & choosing to be bound to Jesus Christ through His death & resurrection, identifying only to him. He is then taught more & more from the Word, especially focussing on the Gift of the Holy Spirit which is given to all who are joined to Christ, sealing them as God's precious children. The Holy Spirit is not an inactive force or a feeling a believer must have, but He is the very presence of God within him that will accomplish all of God's Will in him & through him. And one of the very first things that will be preeminent in the heart & life of this believer, is the Holy Spirit's moving in Him to be Christ-like; i.e. dealing with sin, yearning God-wards, new hopes, new driven life - all demonstrating the sanctifying Work of the Spirit. 'Holiness' then, is the 'sanctified life': the separated life (accomplished by God & pursued by the believer). If he has no desire to pursue it, his salvation is spurious & eternal life absent.

    Using the angels:

When we were resurrected with Christ, Christ is LIFE ( John 14:6), we became the BODY of Christ, each person is the church, the seven churches in Revelation is symbolic of MAN.

John 1:51 ....Hereafter, (when Christ was resurrected and became the life IN YOU, his Body) ye shall see heaven open, and the angels (ministering spirits) of God ascending and descending upon the son of man ---- Christ and YOU his BODY, HIS CHURCH .......

Psalms 91:12 They (the angels) shall bear thee up (Christ and YOU his body), lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

    God Bless YOU!

There's no problem with those verses, Julia. In verse 26, it is recorded as God speaking, "Let us make man in our image...". And in the following verse, the Genesis account writer says, "So God created man in his own image..", i.e. God created man in God's Image - not man's image. And the rest of verse 27 supports that, with, "...in the image of God created he (God) him (man). I know that can be a little confusing.
