Chris p.2 to finish. In Gen.3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. Here we see that the serpent which is the dragon, also called Satan, and the devil was called one of the beast of the field in Gen.3:1. And the beast that comes up out of the earth has two horns like a lamb, but speaks as a dragon, this is the dragon. When Satan is cast to the earth in Rev.12:7-9 (7) And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, (8) And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. (9) And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out INTO THE EARTH, and his angels were cast out with him. (The devil, satan, that old serpent, the dragon is cast out ((into the earth)) The beast who doeth great wonders, and causes the earth and them that dwell therein to worship the first beast, this second beast who looks like a lamb but speaks as a dragon is the dragon. Satan will enter into, or possess the son of perdition, the first beast who is the antichrist just like he ((entered into)) Judas Iscariot. I think the 1st beast in Rev.13 is the antichrist. The 2nd beast is the dragon who will possess the antichrist and give him power over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. I think this time period will be great tribulation where he will force all to take the mark of the beast, he makes war with the saints. I think this 1st beast is the one who kills the two witnesses so the two witnesses time period would have to be the first 3 1/2 years, then the beast is given power to continue forty and two months, 3 1/2 years which will be great tribulation. I would really like to here what you think of this Chris? Thank you again, I really do appreciate you responding.

Chris I really do appreciate you responding, this has been a very fruitful conversation for me. It is good to get another view on things, it gets one thinking and more importantly reading and studying the Word of God. Thank you Chris! With your last comment you said, if I understood it correctly You don't think the beast in Rev.13:1 is the antichrist? I think it is, see what you think of this? The beast who kills the two witnesses in Rev.11:7, this verse tells us the beast ascendeth out of the bottomless pit. The word (bottomless)#12; it means depthless, i.e. (specifically) (infernal) abyss, deep (bottomless) pit, (by implying) the sea. ((by implying THE SEA) Rev.13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up (out of the sea) having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. In v.2 the dragon gives him his power, and his seat and great authority. v.4 tells us the dragon gave him power again, and says they worshipped the dragon and they worshipped the beast. How would that be possible? v.5 Tells us the beast is given power to (continue) forty and two months, which as you know Chris is 3 1/2 years. v.6. He opens his mouth in blasphemy against God. v.7 He makes war against the saints, and to overcome them, (this will be the time of the mark of the beast, the great tribulation) and power was given him over ALL kindreds, and tongues and nations. (The one world leader who's main objective will be to kill Christians. v8. Tells us everybody on earth will worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb. Satan will possess the antichrist when he given him his power. The beast in Rev.13:11 that comes UP OUT OF THE EARTH, and has two horns like a lamb, but speaks as a dragon? Is the dragon, he heals the deadly wound the antichrist receives, and he does great wonders, he makes fire come down from heaven. Almost finished but out of space, see p.2 (he comes UP OUT OF THE EARTH)

Though there is no mention of the anti-Christ in this chapter, it is understood that he has already been revealed & is raining his terror on any who disobey him (as in Revelation 13:4-8). But when God's Wrath is poured on Earth's inhabitants, the anti-Christ's days are also numbered ( Revelation 19:17-21).

And finally, 1 Corinthians 15:52, "at the last trump". I realize that it is commonly understood that the reference is to the last trumpet sounding in Revelation 15:20-19 & some others even connecting this phrase to the last of the trumpet blasts at the Jewish Feast of Trumpets (i.e. after all the trumpet blasts of various types/sounds are made, the final (LAST) long blast is sounded at the end). And yet, the 1 Corinthians 15:52 rendering in Greek, shows it as, 'the trumpet after which no other will sound'. It might then be that it isn't the seventh trumpet sound by the angel being referred to in Revelation 15, but it is at the final trumpet blast from the series of the other angelic blasts throughout that time of God's Wrath poured out. We might never come to a consensus on that one.

Anyway Jimbob, those are my thoughts: some in agreement with what you read in the Word, some not. There are several possibilities in all that we have presented & all these have value, but ultimately, it's where are understanding lies concerning the Church's departure to be with the Lord Jesus. Each person, holding their various Tribulation/Rapture positions, can certainly find Scriptures to support their belief; I wonder whether the Lord places great value on our exercises in studying the Word, but to leave the final interpretation & outcome to Him, He Who has all the right answers. Thank you again Jimbob.

I agree with you Jimbob, on 2 Thessalonians 2:8, that those verses refer to the Anti-Christ. As well as your Revelation 19:19,20 reference to the beast (= antichrist) & his connection to the false prophet.

Then you referenced Revelation 11:7 to this beast (the anti-Christ). But Revelation chapter 11 speaks of the two witnesses prophesying on Earth for 1,260 days (or 3.5 years), which is the one half of the Great Tribulation period (whether the first or second half?). These witnesses are killed after their work is done by the beast that comes out of the bottomless pit (v7). Can this beast be the anti-Christ, who would actually still be on Earth during that time of the witnesses, or reference to the different manifestations of the 'beast'. And out of interest, when checking on this 'beast' classification, we find that it can also apply to the anti-Christ spirit (as in Revelation 13:1), i.e. that spirit that is found in the nations representing the "ten horns". But the dragon (Satan) gave power to the beast (13:4). Without expanding this passage, we can see that this beast isn't the anti-Christ, because verses 11 to 18 show this second beast arising from the Earth (not the sea), clearly doing the work of THE anti-Christ.

Then further into Revelation chapter 11: as you wrote, the two witnesses are taken into heaven (though there's no mention of anyone else going with them). And as we know, the Rapture events surround the Lord's physical appearing in the clouds & the raptured go to be with Him in the clouds; not so with the Witnesses - Jesus is not present - they ascend into Heaven. As well, if the two witnesses satisfy the verse, "he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way", then I feel that would be in the wrong time frame. According to Revelation 11:7, the beast ascends out of the bottomless pit & is the one who kills the witnesses.

When He appears! 1.Pet.1:7 That the ((trial of your faith)) being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be ((tried)) with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and (glory) at the ((appearing)) of Jesus Christ. The word (trial)#1383; it means a testing, trustworthiness, trying, test, trustiness, proof. The word (tried)#1381; it means to test, by implying to approve, discern, examine, try. (These words true meanings show that our FAITH will be tested! This verse says that our FAITH might be found unto praise and honour and (glory) ((AT THE APPEARING OF JESUS CHRIST)). So our FAITH will be tested just before the appearing of Jesus Christ. Col.3:4 When Christ who is our life, SHALL APPEAR, then shall ye also appear with him in (glory). 1.Pet.5:4 And when the chief Shepperd SHALL APPEAR ye shall receive a crown of (glory) that fadeth not away. 1.Jn.3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when HE SHALL APPEAR, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. ((Many verses say when He appears, or at His appearing, also many verses speak of (glory) at His appearing, when does He appear? And appear with (glory)? Mt.24:29-31 (29) Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken, (30) ((And then)) SHALL APPEAR the sign of the Son of man in heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great (glory). ((He APPEARS with power and great GLORY)) (31) And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. All these verses are in alignment perfectly with Matthew.24:29-31, which is His appearing in the clouds, that is the rapture of the church.

    Hi Leona,

YHWH is the name expressed to Moses when he (Moses) met with God in the burning bush. ( Exodus 3) YHWH means the ever-existing one who is eternal and has life within Himself. This tells us that YHWH has always existed. This name tells us that He is God for all time and eternity. This name, YHWH, expresses a truth about God. He has revealed many other names in the Bible that express other truths about Himself, such as El Shaddai, Adonai, Elohim. You can look up "the names of God in the Bible to get a list and also what they mean.

    Good advice, Ruby.

Like Jesus, we should be in harmony with God desiring that His will be done in our lives.

    Jane:

The creation in the first chapters of Genesis is both an act at that time and a prophecy of a second creation at Christ resurrection.

God MADE man from dust, breathed life into him and man became a living BODY, with a carnal mind.

Romans 8:20 For the creature was MADE subject to vanity, NOT WILLINGLY .....

When Christ was RESURRECTED, we became a NEW CREATION.

In Adam the LIFE was in the BLOOD, that life can DIE by the spilling of the BLOOD.

In Christ; LIFE is in the SPIRIT, it's IMMORTAL, spirit can't die.

Psalms 104:30 Thou sendest forth thy SPIRIT, they are CREATED: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

    Christ is also called ADAM.

1 Corinthians 15:45 ...The first man Adam was made a living BODY; the last (man) Adam was made a quicking SPIRIT.

Genesis 5:2 Male and Female CREATED he them; and blessed them, and callled THEIR NAME ADAM (Christ), in the day they were CREATED (I am the resurrection; THE NEW CREATION, the exactness of Christ).

We are BAPTISED in HIS NAME, the new creation.

Jeremiah 7:11 In MY HOUSE, which is called by MY NAME ....

Hebrews 3: Christ as a son over HIS OWN HOUSE, whose HOUSE WE ARE ....

Ephesians .....ONE BODY ......ONE SPIRIT ......

Ephesians 4:4 ..... ONE GOD .... Father of ALL ....above ALL .....through ALL ....and IN YOU ALL .....

    God Bless YOU!

Thank you Jane and dear this was a lot in a few sentences. Far too high a level for me, if I may say so. Could you please give us a slightly clearer impression. Because your questions are of interest to several people, I think.

I can give you an answer to one. His likeness is the person we will come to and become as we walk with Jesus Christ. His parable is like Sanctification. We therefore have a body in (God's image) Jesus Christ as a model on earth on holiness, Because He was pure from the beginning.

And we live in the realm of the Holy Spirit where nothing should be secret or hidden. Everything is obvious for all those who see it. Some people never see it, unfortunately. And those who do not accept Him will see it in the end, but the question then is: Did they accept it and it was too late. We have a dark world and a Light world. We must choose sides in the living. After that, it's too late.

We must leave this entirely to God the Father Himself and His counsel. We cannot and must not judge anyone in this life. Let the Lord's will be done on Earth, Amen.

Romans 10 chapter. Take care, and stay strong in Gods word.

    Hello S. Spencer,

Thanks for asking about Brian and his wife Elfe.

I heard from him a few days ago when they arrived in Mecca. The had visited the Great Mosque. he sent a picture of he and Elfe.

Please continue to pray for them. Her mom is with them, too. Please pray that the Spirit of God will cause a revulsion within them for the things of Islam, revealing to them that this is a false religion that has deceived millions. Pray that, seeing these things of Islam, the Holy Spirit will remind Brian of the truths of Scripture that he was brought up on and change his heart to embrace the Lord and reject Islam. Pray that Elfe's heart will be changed and opened to receive what the Holy Spirit wishes to bring to her-regeneration and faith in Jesus. Pray that her parents will be moved by the Holy Spirit to turn from Islam to Christ.

And pray that Elfe's VISA to come to the U.S. permanently will soon be approved.

Welcome Robert. Many of us come on this great website daily or regularly to do this very thing. We're itching to share our understanding of God's Word to those who have genuine, pressing questions on their hearts; because the Word is precious to us & uppermost in our thoughts & meditations.

But with all matters centered on the Bible, we would expect that the enquirer would be in prayer about it & diligently search the Scriptures for themselves even after receiving our responses to you. It is ultimately God's Holy Spirit that has to make His Word real & meaningful to your heart & life. Blessings.

    Elizabeth,

For the believer, Jesus is our hope ( 1 Timothy 1:1), He is our peace ( Ephesians 2:14), He is the light of the world ( John 8:12), He is the good shepherd who gave His life for His sheep (All those who have surrendered their life to Him ( John 10:11), He is the head of the church ( Ephesians 1:22), He is the only one who sets us free from our sin ( John 8:36), He is our redeemer ( Job 19:25), He is the only atoning sacrifice for our sin ( 1 John 4:10), He is the Savior of those who receive Him ( Luke 2:11, John 1:12), He is the creator of all things ( Colossians 1:16-17, John 1:1-3), He is the word of God, and He is God ( John 1:1, Isaiah 9:6), He is our only way to salvation ( John 10:9, John 14:6).

There are many, many more descriptors in the Bible that tell us who Jesus is, but it would take many more posts to list them all.

    Benjamin:

You want you prayers to always be answered; Pray in this manner, THY WILL BE DONE.

Prays of thanksgiving is what pleased God.

We don't know that God is not using sickness and hurting to bring his people to him, we can ask, but it should always be in the context of HIS WILL BE DONE.

He knows exactly what needs to be done in each of his children to conform them to the IMAGE of CHRIST.

Many preach a prosperity gospel, but Christ said you enter the kingdom through much tribulation.

    God Bless YOU!

Christ was sent to be our PASSOVER sacrifice, by his blood our sins are covered, and death passes over us and we are ALIVE by HIS LIFE in us.

1 Timothy 6:16 Who ONLY hath IMMORTALITY ....

It was a finished WORK 2000 years ago; now, nothing has to be ADDED and certainly nothing can be TAKEN AWAY. This is the Gospel.

You died with Christ, and you were raise a NEW CREATION, it's HIS LIFE IN YOU.

You believe, because God CAUSES you to believe. He's the LIFE in you.

Philippians 1:29 It is GIVEN to you in the behalf of Christ to believe in him ...

You have faith, because Christ is the LIFE in you.

Galatians 2:16 .... the FAITH OF Jesus Christ ....

  • Adam - In Reply - 2 years ago
Hello, let's compare scripture with what I understand you to be saying. Please correct me if I am wrong in understanding your position.

God: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23 KJV

You: It sounds like... you don't "need" or "want" God's grace and may not even need to follow Christ (be a Christian)? "In regards to "having a free get out of hell card", it appears you are assuming Alex and others who believe as we do, want one or even need one. "

God: "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:" Matthew 7:13 KJV

You: "salvation is all inclusive." It sounds like you're ignoring God or calling Him dishonest when He says that most will go to hell, that salvation is intended for everyone but most will not choose to follow Jesus and thus will go to hell. Acts 4:12

God: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 KJV

You: It sounds like you don't believe what the Bible says or don't believe God, because there is a risk of everyone going to hell. Someone must make a choice and "believe" as it says above. How someone can ignore this obvious verse I do not yet understand.

God: "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38 KJV

You: It sounds like you ignore the above command, that you DON'T need to repent or do anything, and that you don't even need to be forgiven? Because you assume you're already saved regardless of your actions and will be in heaven with Hitler, Mao, Stalin, and the worlds worst mass murderers dining and hanging out with them?

Do you consider yourself a Christian and can you please share what criteria you followed to believe you are one?

    God bless.

Can anyone LIST ALL the things that one MUST OBEY, so one want go to hell? an what if your fail to do one?

This is exactly what the OLD covenant was; a LIST, and they FAILED.

Christ did away with the OLD list if LAWS, and set up a NEW covenant, He would be THE (immortal) LIFE in the NEW CREATION, and he ''CAN OBEY ALL GOD'S WORDS''.

    John 14:6 ....I am THE LIFE ....

Romans 8:2 For THE LAW (2nd covenant) of the Spirit of (immoral) LIFE in Christ Jesus hath made me FREE from THE LAW (1st covenant) of sin and DEATH (not hell).

1 Timothy 6:16 Who (Christ) ONLY hath immortality, dwelling in the LIGHT ...

You and I DIED on the CROSS.

Satan tells you It's still up to you to OBEY, who are you going to believe the lies of Satan or the SPIRIT of TRUTH.

    John 14:6 ....I am TRUTH .....

Philippians 2:13 For it is God in you (the new creation) that worketh both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

    God Bless YOU!

The manmade doctrine of 100% everyone being "saved" is not only a serious misinterpretation of what the Bible says, but is a lie originating from satan himself. Satan wants people to deceived into believing this so they don't feel they need to obey God whatsoever. It's wrapped up in clever fallacies and false assumptions. All someone has to do to refute this manmade idea is to read the Bible. I'd rather listen to Jesus then a man. Both aren't right, so by definition one of these beliefs is untrue. Is it true that obeying God is "bad"? Is it likely that God wants you to defy him and do the opposite of what He says, or is it more likely that satan wants that? This sounds exactly like what satan would say.

Those twisting scripture to conform to a narrow cult manmade idea who accuse obedience to God as being "bad" would also be accusing Jesus of the same thing. John 14:15. Satan's signature is usually on pushing opposites of the truth, starting from the garden of eden.

Satan is clever and whenever I see his lies on a Bible site I will keep calling it out so no one else is deceived. Again, the antidote to this poison is actually reading the Bible, because it says so many times that following the law is GOOD. Obedience is GOOD. Following God is GOOD. Romans 6:15 Someone who claims to have freedom to commit any sin imaginable while having a free get out of hell card is exactly what Jesus warned about when He said depart from me. Matthew 7:22-23.

The false assumption and contradiction in the cult doctrine is that everything good is "works" and it's all "bad" meanwhile they don't call sinning as "bad" or "works". So, the assumption is doing any good is bad, and bad is good. Wow.

Alex I think its possible we've already discussed this topic before and your motives are between you and God. He knows your heart and whether you are following Him and believing in the truth. You will have to stand in front of Him like everyone else and account for every word you speak. God be with you.

@ Dennis Giacomino and @ Jesse Over

There is a difference between the Kingdom of God (Christ inside you) and the Kingdom of Heaven (a place to come on earth). Please view Robert Breaker video on you tube labeled The Kingdom of God vs The Kingdom of Heaven for in depth Bible scripture.

Matthew 6:33 (keyword is FIRST... implying there is something to follow - second)

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

You can not "see" or "observe" the Kingdom of God.

    Luke 17:20

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Matthew 3:2 "And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Matthew 7:21 (Heaven is a place)

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
