So the revelation of God's Truth to the saints is primarily done through the church, through the ministries given to the church for exactly this reason. But many believers, and mainly those who want to stay alone and do not wish to be members of any christian congregation, refuse that idea and try to become pastors and teachers ... to themselves, and feel OK with that, because they wrongly think God is ready to deal with then on a personal basis. Of course God reveals some elements or a deeper understanding of His Word specifically to somebody (we all have that experience) but the main teaching is done through the church. It is the churche's task to put right doctrines in the right order and explain the scriptures. Commentaries are also very helpful and it may be also a way that God responds to our search. Isn't it a series of commentaries that a pastor does when he is preaching in the church? What he is a preaching is explanations of scriptures of the Gospel. It is an oral commentary, isn't it? And if one is willing to hear a preaching, why aren't they willing to read a commentary?

People who refuse to listen to others and rely on their own understanding of the Bible, wrongly believing that God will lead them to His truth, sometimes come out with horrible beliefs. A virtue in the character of a christian, demanded by God, is one being humble. Humble means that I don't place myself above all the others but listen to others as well, and if they are not right, OK then I can reject their beliefs. But I have to have an open mind and use the written Word of God as a ruler. Acts 17:11 "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so

And often we have to wait, some things take time to be understood. It's like Maths. One can not do diferentiation or intergration if not learning to add and subtract numbers first.

Absolutely true.

Forgiving is really one of the hardest thing. They say time heals all wounds but for me only the true love of God can help you to completely forgive. Forgiving and forgiveness is the key to set you free and to experience the real joy in your heart.

That is why I keep asking God to help me forgive that someone, because sometimes I thought I have already forgiven, yet there happens some situation in life that grudges are coming back, and then you realize that you haven't completely forgiven that person at all. This is the time that we must recall the verse that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, please guys always remember Ephesians 6:12 and always remember to be kind even to those who hurt you .. because they even are the ones who need spiritual help and need your prayer. Remember guys, you are loved.. Big time ! I love that song.

Can we know what the love is that Jesus speaks of, when He tells us that He and His Father are one? If you and I did not have a Father on earth, nor in some cases a Mother, can we know the Love Jesus is speaking of?

Or what if you have a Father on earth, and your relationship is not good! Or, perhaps your father walked out of your lives many years ago! Can we ever know the forgiveness that will Transend the here and now, moving us forward?

Must I learn how to hug, must I learn how to walk side by side? Must I learn how to forgive the past?

If this were not enough, it is as an infection that has moved even further into your next generation!

This is the greatest hurdle for some of us! This hurdle impossible to get over! Yes, it is. "How can God forgive you, when you cannot forgive! Mark 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father ...

Somehow some way we must forgive! I think many in my generation are walking around this hurdle? How many of us may never know the relationship between Jesus and His Father!!! How can reconciliation come?

Reconciliation must come! Somehow, some way! Someone, who knows, please tell me! Please tell me!!

Queen Elizabeth 2nd was head of the Anglican Church which was conceived by Henry 8th in the middle ages . He broke all ties with Rome because he wanted to get a divorce , which Rome would not permit , because his wife cold not give him a male heir . He had 6 wives in total , 1 male heir who did reign briefly after his dad died but he was very sickly and didn't last long . Henry's daughter was Elizabeth the first . She had a long reign and never reconciled with Rome , more for political reasons than religious ones . She wasn't going to allow anyone to tell her how to run her own country . So , all British monarchs since the formation of the Anglican church have been the head of it . It's all over the commonwealth .

It's impossible for me to forget that I am different to Jesus , I'm guessing most people are very aware that they are not the same as Our Saviour .

I believe I recall that the Queen was Anglican, not Catholic. But either way, God may have chosen her for salvation, as He did you and I. We do not know. We can not judge a person by their religious label. We leave this judgment up to God. I know many Catholics who love God dearly and trust Jesus as their Savior. Isn't that what we do? We all have areas of our belief system that are incorrect. Does that disqualify us from being true believers? I do not think so. I do think that there are essential beliefs that are a must for one to have a saved relationship with God. But our correctness or incorrectness on other beliefs does not disqualify us from being under the grace that produces salvation in us.

The Corinthian church had many errors. Paul in 1 Corinthians 15 spoke what the essentials of the faith were. That Jesus died for us, rose from the dead, was seen alive after the resurrection by over 500 people, ascended into heaven. Elsewhere Paul speaks of Jesus being the propituary sacrifice for our sins, bringing us forgiveness and reconciling us to God by making us alive to God again when we were dead in our sins. He also says that it is by grace that we are saved through faith and this grace, faith, and salvation is a gift, not earned. He says to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. So these are essential doctrines that one must hold to as a Christian believer.

I do not know what the Queen believed in this matter, so I leave her destination and judgment up to God, knowing He will always judge rightly. I do think that we will find many people in heaven who were Catholics and Anglican, etc. in this life. I, personally will be very happy that they are numbered among the multitude of saints in glory when I get there, just like I rejoice in believers who belonged to other Christian denominations in this life.

I pray God will bless you in your youngest son's consideration of entering America's space program. America has far too many scientists who approach America's space program (and all science, for that matter) from an Atheistic mindset. If he hasn't already, I suggest he do a Google search on scientists who are Christian in their research. I have the deepest Faith in Our Lord, I thank Him every day, throughout the day and in the evening, for the Faith He Gifted me with before I was born. (I say this with great confidence that I was Blessed with this Faith before I was born because my first memory from my childhood is this: I was around 3 years of age and suffering from a very painful, recurring ear problem that the medical profession couldn't resolve. I was crying from the pain and standing with my Mother while she was at the medicine cabinet getting children's aspirin for me. As I stood with her waiting, this was my thought: I know I am going to be okay because God will protect me and help the Doctors find out what was wrong with my ear and He would help them fix it, AND He had given me the best Mother in the world and He would guide her as well. Although I was much to young to understand, I came to realize over the years that this belief at such a young age was in fact a gift from God. To address your question, I have two thoughts, the first being the knowledge that much of the Bible was written by man, man who is not perfect and therefore could/would inject their own interpretation of the Words of Our Lord. The second thought is this: Jesus walked among us and reached out to those who were considered sinners, he spoke with them, broke bread with them and talked with them about the way they lived their lives and offered words of a better way for them. He did not turn away from those who were sinners, AND HE DID NOT JUDGE THEM, God does not condemn any of His children, certainly not His children who are different from the main stream, Jesus didn't live His life following the main stream. Your Son and Granddaughter ARE NOT SINNERS AND GOD WANTS YOU TO LOVE AND EMBRACE THEM. He knows what is in their heart and soul and He loves them AND EXPECTS US TO LOVE THEM AS WELL, THESE ARE HIS CHILDREN AND ONLY HE KNOWS THEIR HEART. If they are kind and caring, the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. Enjoy loving them

I am not wishing to debate either. Thank you for your input.

I read last night in Acts 15:6-11. Peter says that God had chosen him to preach to the Gospel to the Gentiles so that they would believe. He went on to say that God gave the Gentiles the Holy Spirit just as He had done for them in Jerusalem. So, apparently, Peter was preaching the Gospel to Gentiles before he knew Paul.

My point is that it is wise to avoid hard and fast views concerning how the Gospel spread nor when the church began because I think that God is the only One who truly knows what He did in those days, as He builds the church and chosen whom will preach the Gospel and where.

We have the book of Acts an the writings of Paul, Peter, John, James, and Jude to reveal some information about the church in the 1st century A.D. But this is not a running history that includes the work of all the other apostles, nor the others of the 120 who were in the room at Pentecost. if we did, we would know better how things transpired. Since Scripture does not include a full account of the workings of the church at this time, perhaps we can be satisfied that the Word of God concerning the Gospel of Jesus was spread throughout the known world during that century by Jesus' apostles and disciples as well as from Believer to those in their sphere of influence. That is the important matter, in my opinion. When the apostles became apostles or began their work or when the church truly began are somewhat peripheral matters to me. But since there is this discussion on these topics, we can share what the Scriptures say about this to one another and share what we learned from them.

Any scripture referring to "God Is", "I Am", etc., clarifies the infinite, eternal God. "God Is" reflects His omnipresence, i.e. He is

eternally everywhere. This should lead us to consider that if there is this Omnipresence, what room is there left for anything other than God/Omnipresence, Who is also omnipotent and omniscient? God Is; thus what opposes (the opposite of) Him "is not". God could never be (exist) as what opposes Him. This would render him something else. There is no compromise between what God is and what He is not (cannot be). God is the sole reality, and what is real always denies its opposite.

God is Light, not darkness. Bring darkness to light and the light will reveal the darkness, and what I thought was hidden in it is not there; not my reality. When light enters darkness the darkness is abolished. In similar manner, God is everything, and everything and nothing cannot coexist. The truth of one (God, Light, Everything) must make the falsity of its opposite ("Satan, darkness, nothing") perfectly unambiguous.

God Is. God is Love. The opposite of love is fear: yet What (God) is all encompassing can have no opposite. Love creates Itself and nothing but Itself. It is impossible for Love to create evil, and to do so would render God as capable of denying and opposing Himself: Impossible!

In regards to the trinity: The trinity in its Oneness transcends the sum of its parts.
