Isaiah 40:11,31, Matthew 18:2,10, Psalms 68:5, Jeremiah 49:11, Psalms 146:9, Psalms 18:27, Psalms 140:12,
Hopefully there are some within these scriptures that you'll find helpful
One can read of the genealogy of the bloodline of Adam to Christ "in scripture" that is if one believes scripture, and (not spin it) by misinterpreting something; In Matthew 1 called THE scroll of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham.
Also, one can read of genealogy, the generations of, and the Sons OF, beginning with Genesis 5.
Genealogy --- : an account of the descent of a person, family, or group from an ancestor or from older forms-- the study of family ancestral lines
If you need help, pray!!!
I'm so Happy you're starting to read the Bible! I like starting in Luke myself because it's like straight to the point, shorter with a direct point of view. Matthew, Mark, Luke & John all are perspectives of Jesus' life. I like that Luke 1, Luke 2, shows more clearly the birth of Jesus, the explanation of how miraculous Jesus' birth was in itself but the miracles of fulfilling scripture from ancient prophecy even in His birth, & as a babe. I like how Luke even states: Luke 1:1-3,
Matthew starts with the birth lineage of Jesus as the documents of records, also important to prove prophecy fulfilled & verify Jesus was who HE said He was. Notice: Matthew 1:17,18,
Luke also addresses the family line, ( lineage ) Luke 3:38, also addresses your questions son of GOD in the natural & Son of GOD in the Supernatural.
Hopefully these are helpful
In light of the time of Jacob's trouble (Jeremiaha 30:7) it is clear that God has a plan for the Jews as a nation and as a whole. We see this also in Romans 11:25; indicating the "fullness of the Gentiles coming in" which would be the end of the church age.
I am not one who argues between dispensation and covenants; as I see both at play here. God has in a sense at that point ended the "Age of Grace" although obviously those saved in all dispensations were saved by grace ( Romans 4). Right now the wickedness is being restrained by the presence of the Body of Christ; the true remnant who are Spirit filled. God did have promises as to the Promised Land and its boundaries; as well as the house of God being a place for prayer for all people. The atoning sacrifice of Christ was able to bring a New covenant as to how God's people were required to worship; and it opened it up in general for Gentile nations. As Christ stated the "Gospel of the Kingdom" ( Matt. 24:14) won't be preached to all the cities of Israel until the Son of Man returns. It was cut short and is held back by politics; it will resume in full after the Rapture.
It is interesting that we agree on the lukewarm Christians and their fate here. I tend to look at it backwards from normal logic; that once all the distractions as to the calling and producing fruit are gone (after the Rapture) that these individuals will finally live in the Spirit even as they are dying physically. Their identity in Christ right now is choked out; they likely are fearing death greatly; and are being held captive against their will (i.e. the life of Christ within them) because besetting sins have been strangling their growth. Persecution and martyrdom; consequently will be a great release; and there is not going to be an issue there for those who have Christ in this type of sacrifice. Again; it seems somehow that the sounding of the 7th Trumpet the "mystery" will be complete which I would say is the end of the church age.
It seems the 144,000 are translated (as they aren't mentioned with those under the altar). It seems that those not taking the mark are part of a later group or the great multitude. Anyway; thanks for your input.
.....Jesus was the living WORD made flesh and blood....It was God that impregnated Mary with his word....Mans seed had absolutetly nothin to do with Marys conception....But Romans 1:3 concerning Jesus that was made of the seed of David according to the flesh....But that flesh was Mary...Not according to any man's seed....It was DAVID that said its the Lords doings and is precious in our eyes....It was the Lords seed not mans seed.
......The Lamb of GOD had to be a Perfect Lamb....Could not have any spots or stains....He cd not carry that awful stain and curse of adam thats y it had to a virgin birth....There was none righteous no not one...Thus Mary had to be impregnated by God himself....Via his seed the living word...gbu
You don't have room to talk Jessie, I see your ignorance throughout but only correct you for edification purposes when you tried to correct me,,, This is straight up ignorance of scripture, associating me of evil and untruths, whereby I take very seriously.
I will debate you on who the first Murderer was/is; but you're missing the point of me being accused of the serpent seed's existence being untrue and evil for a few crumbs on standing up for your friends blatant ignorance, when there is SO much written on it.
The point of the verse is to show the serpents son/bloodline, "Ye are from your father the devil", and the strong desires of your father ye will to do; whereby your friend called it evil and untrue, when there is SO much written on it,,,did you jump in and correct her? No,,,For all I know, this could be You sticking up for yourself...
May I correct you in saying, It was John prophesying/speaking of Jesus's words if you want to get technical,,, Cain the Son of the Serpent,The Devil, Murdered his brother.
Again, I will debate you on who the first murderer was.
His ministry, and the events thereof are singled out and emphasized which set forth His claims as the Messiah;sent to fulfill all the prophecies concerning Him.
*Ten Parables
*Two Miracles
*Nine Special Discourses
*Six events in connection with His Passion
It begins with the Four events connected with His infancy
Yeah Become familiar with Jesus is good Advice,,, But bare in mind at some point, when you don't know what happens in the beginning; you won't fully understand the events which take place throughout, and why.
Accusing someone of being ignorant of scripture sounds a little harsh. If someone is not in agreement with you, does that make them ignorant? I am not going to accuse you of being ignorant, but I do believe you are mistaken about John 8:44-45.
You ask, "Who was John speaking of, that's right CAIN, because HE was the first Murderer he MURDERED HIS BROTHER."
First of all, John was not speaking of anyone. Those were Jesus' words, not John's. Secondly, Jesus is speaking of Satan being a murderer from the beginning. If Jesus was referring to Cain, He would have shifted from His description of Satan and mentioned Cain by name.
Thank all of y'all who were guided to respond. It means so much to me to feel heard. I appreciate any prayer for my life, my health, my restoration, and please go on.. but if I may ask for specific prayers for my young twin daughters? Their names are Bonnie and Baylee, and they are 8 years old. Beautiful, smart and tender hearted, and so far they love Jesus! Unfortunately we lost their daddy and my husband in a car accident when they were only 15 months old. It hasn't been easy, and I know it might be a long while until there are better times ahead. All because of the clarity the Lord gave me throughout yesterday and today, I am finally beginning to really really be at peace with God's purpose for my life, and wether he restores my health or ends my life on earth I will rejoice in His promises because now I KNOW Jesus is using my life to glorify His name, and I pray it can be used so others can receive Jesus like I have!, I just pray PLEASE Lord, that my girls see Christ through me. I can't say how much it would mean to me that anyone would see fit to lift up my daughters in prayer at my request. And I ask for this of anyone who will, because I am the best at forgetting to focus on Jesus and not on myself. And I fall back to being a poor example of the Living Gospel of Jesus Christ. There is no more time for me to be a lukewarm Christian. They have to know their mommas life was made rich complete because of God's goodness!I'm still rambling like a crazy person, and I thank y'all for not laughing or judging how desperate I am in my spirit for God's grace to continue this raining on me. Thank you God for being ALMIGHTY and POWERFUL. Jesus ALONE is worthy of praise. Amen.
Your words have truly ministered to my heart. You have shared with us a perfect example of what it means to place one's complete trust in Jesus Christ. You have reminded me of what it means to remain under our circumstances, no matter how hard those circumstances might be, and knowing that the Lord oftentimes places hardships in our lives in order to teach us how to trust in Him. You've demonstrated that trust. I can't see how anyone reading your words would not be blessed by them. Your words have caused me to examine my own walk with Christ, and for that I say thank you. My prayers are with you as you deal with cancer. I lift you up to the Lord and pray for His will to be done in your life. May He continue to strengthen you and guide you in every path that He sets before you.
It was not a dilemma for the apostle Paul. In Philippians 1:21, Paul's philosophy was that for him, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. I like that!
Paul says in Philippians 1:22, but if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. (That is, I do not know).
In Philippians 1:23-24, he says, "For I am in a strait between two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more necessary for you.
Reading through Verses 25 & 26, what Paul seems to be saying is that he really would like to go be with the Lord. Paul's life was not the kind of life that you want to stick around for, you know? Unless you like being in prison and creating riots, like Paul.
But Paul says I really would like to go be with the Lord. It has much more priority for me and desire than here.
Some of us have trouble giving up our life here for Christ because this life means "so much" to us.
And Paul says for me to live is Christ. If I have to stay here, then that's what my life is going to be about, Jesus Christ, and to minister to those so that they can have a furtherance, or advancement, and satisfaction of faith.
So he says in that you would rejoice in Christ for me coming to you again.
I haven't followed this post or many others due to out of town business.
I think you are spot on. Jesus was resurrected a spiritual body and you gave good supporting scripture.
1 Corinthians 15:44. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
Jesus was sown ith our iniquities on him, He wouldn't be raised that same sinful body and go into the presence of the Father. When Jesus took on our sins he cried out MY LORD MY LORD WHY HAS THOU FORSAKEN ME!
I believe the misunderstanding is defining a spiritual body. It's still a body! It's a body no longer weighed down by our sin. If he was sown a natural body and raised a natural body then he wasn't quickened by the Spirit, and we are still in our sins.
We are baptized into Christ resurrection, Christ is the first fruit and the head of the body!
1 Corinthians 15:20.
Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, ( Hebrews 2:9 ) Afterwards there's no need of the natural body!
1 Corinthians 15:54-55
1 Corinthians 15:43. It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: ( This is talking about the body!
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 1 Corinthians 15:45
We wait to be changed like Christ resurrected body and be redeemed from corruption.
2 Corinthians 5:4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
Romans 8:23. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Thank God for the first fruit because we shall be raised like him.
God bless.
Yes, the earth will always be inhabited; this is where God's kingdom will be.
Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it; he created it not in vain, he formed it to be INHABITED: I AM the Lord, and NONE ELSE.
Ephesians 4:4 ONE Spirit (the Father, God) ...ONE Body (man's body) ...
Ephesians 4:6 ONE Father of ALL (bodies of man).... above ALL (bodies of man)).... through ALL (bodies of man)... and IN YOU ALL (bodies of man).....
1 Corinthians 15:28 .....that God may be ALL in ALL ....
God's earth "WILL BE" PERFECTLY INHABITED.
God Bless YOU, Christ's body.
If indeed there was praise everywhere as stated after the Rapture in Revelation 5:13 there wasn't anymore. Fear was apparently for all members of society (v. 15) when they tried to hide in vain in the caves of the earth from God and Christ's wrath. For those who would say that this is a parallel passage to the bowl judgments or trumpet judgments are not dividing the Word very carefully. By the bowl judgments men are trying literally to fight against Christ; and are continually blaspheming His name; making no attempt to veil either their bodies or attitudes from God. The demons have succeeded in total control; no doubt aided by the intoxicating power behind Satan's mark of the Beast.
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. ( Prov. 9:10; etc.) Some will learn from this and repent such as seen in Psalm 64:9. There is a time when it is too late however such as in Psalm 18:41-42. That is in God's hands. For some at the sixth seal it probably is too late; all those not in the Book of Life will worship the Beast ( Rev. 13:8) and be damned ( Rev. 19:15).
That will no doubt encompass many who continue in sin even after one third of the earth is destroyed and men are tormented by demons ( Rev. 9:21).
I pray that as this study continues as an unworthy servant to reflect the Spirit of God in my words and to have the strength to undertake discussion of these awful realities which are to come upon the earth. May someone even one soul take it to heart and be led to repentance and may readers be as Jeremiah states in chapter 20 verse 9 that His Word is fire in our bones. The enemy does not want our minds to be opened to see what is shortly to come to pass. The apocalyptic day which is worse than any that was and will come ( Jeremiah 30:7; Mark 13:19; Matt. 24:21) is at hand. May we all have a "reality check" and be ready for His return to escape all these things ( Luke 21:36; Rev. 3:10).
The clearest verse in scripture is "absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." ( 2 Cor. 5:6). There are other verses such as Hebrews 9:27 stating that we are destined to die once then face the judgment. The distinction needs to be made between the body "qeber" in the original language describing the BODY and it's passions sleeping in the dust of the earth and "sheol" which is the underworld where all those who died used to go to until Psalm 68:18 and other verses show that "captivity was made captive."
Christ's sacrifice allowed the souls of the rightous to leave the pleasant side of Sheol (such as seen with the parable of Lazarus and the rich man in Luke 16:19-31) and go to heaven ( 1 Peter 3:18-20). His preaching to the wicked was a declaration or show of victory along with the righteous souls released; many of which appeared after His Resurrection. ( Matt. 27:53). This was a sort of "first" of the firstfruits of whom we will be a part after our living Head Christ went first bodily to heaven.
There are many other verses that could be quoted as well. Soul sleep just isn't scriptural.
Agape; Rich P.
Our pastor was discussing this verse with others this morning on the awareness of those who have passed from this earthly tabernacle to heaven before they get their Resurrected bodies.
Some of the Post-Mil camp seem to indicate this is describing all the martyrs of church history.
It could be said that they also are aware of these things; but the SPECIFIC method of beheading seems to be indicated in Revelation 20:4 as well as the clue in verse 11 to be "killed as they were". There is also a distinct time frame "a little while" in verse 11 as well.
Several inferences can be made from this information. First; it is clear that there is anger and probably blame for what is going on from those who still cling tenaciously to the witness of Christ while others are dying in this manner. The resulting event in the sixth seal immediately following shows the awareness of God and the Son and judgment impending.
Secondly; there is no mention yet of the mark of the Beast or even the two prophets at this point. Certainly martyrdom will continue after a pause (possibly being prevented for a large part during the ministry of the 144,000 when the great multitude comes to faith). Since the woman riding the Beast characterizes this time in Rev. 17:7 the false religion of the world is the likely culprit for most of these killings; later Antichrist destroys this system to get all worship for himself then starts his own killing campaign. ( Rev. 17:16). It appears the 5th Trumpet brings the demonic entity that energizes the Antichrist bringing him to life from an apparent deadly wound ( Zech 11:17). All things in their due time.
The concept of judgment with the sword; famine and pestilence is clear from Jeremiah 14:12; 27:13 and 42:17; Ezekiel 5:12; 7:15 and 14:21. There are two of these three judgments together in portions of Leviticus and Deuteronomy and certainly other places as well. What is unique here is the pale horse signifying death and the "beasts of the earth". This has been defined as a possible veiled reference to viruses or bacteria; or perhaps literally animals attacking people. What we see in this pale green horse is the power behind all this; men being accelerated to hell (as Isaiah 5:14 states hell has enlarged herself). Matthew 24 also discusses wars and famines and verse 9 gets into the 5th seal of persecution of saints.
In looking at the Restrainer ( 2 Thess. 2:6-7) we also can look at the fact that once removed; not only will wickedness spread at accelerated pace; but also judgments and the rate the lost are being sent to hell. Perhaps the Tribulation believers will be pretty much exempt from these plagues as it seems martyrdom is the most common form of death. There is no specific mention until the trumpet judgments of the 144,000 and possibly others being protected from certain judgments. These verses seem to show by and large lost people are judged this way even BEFORE the mark of the beast is instituted. It is God who ultimately determines the course of pestilence as well as war; and clearly no efforts of man will curb this judgment. Obviously; starvation will not only come from the wars; but by the droughts and other natural disasters unleashed; again mentioned as a particular signs and wonders action the 2 Prophets engage in as "often as they will." ( Rev. 11:6). Again; there appears to be some lag time for these prophets to appear; and perhaps end their ministry just after the midpoint of the 7 years. It is unclear if a delay occurs between the Rapture and first seal as well.
Lording or ruling over God's flock, making themselves the head of the church in which Christ is the head. Those are the deeds God says He hates.
Jesus Christ is the head of the church and no man or men can ever take His place. That's what they were doing, and the Lord says He hates that!
