    Hi Sheyibrown.

Scripture agrees with what Luke has spoken.

For one the law wasn't given to Gentiles it was given to Israel. I wasn't given to JUSTIFY anyone for salvation.

Galatians 5:4. "Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; YE ARE FALLEN FROM GRACE."

Here's a few scriptures to study:

Please don't just read these Scriptures, Study them!! These are very important Scriptures that is ignored by some. Understanding these scriptures can help keep one from being deceived atleast in this area anyway.

    Galatians 3:1-29.

    Galatians Ch 4 and 5.

    2 Corinthians 3:6-14.

    Also study.

    Hebrews 8:1-13 and

    Hebrews 9:1-28.

It's interesting what you will find in Hebrews when ministering the first covenant. It WASN'T about just being obedient to the 10 commandments, There were services that had to be performed to extreme precision.

There was the high priest that ministered THOSE services under THAT covenant in a WORLDLY sanctuary. The services had to be rendered perfectly but they couldn't make you perfect. They had no effect on the heart of man. Men heart is incurably wicked. The new covenant where Christ is the High priest He came to give you a new Heart and the REST that the old covenant couldn't give. Because no one could keep or be justified by the old covenant.

Why is it that those who desire to add their means of justifying themselves they choose what they think is the easiest to do and not realize in their lusty heart they break the commandments.

    James 2:10.

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:27-28.

    Study those chapters.

    God bless.

    Mishael,

Agreed, we all need to be more prayerful. Pray without ceasing, says Paul. Don't just commiserate or empathize with others, pray!

I need to hear this today, Mishael. Thank you.

I tend to agree that ultimately, death due to sin is really an expression of God's mercy, for the reasons you stated. On our side of this, we view death as a curse and a deep sorrow from loss of a loved one. Also, the act of dying can be very painful for some,, with much suffering. Others are blessed to go to sleep and die while sleeping. Don't we all wish for this to be what God chooses for us in our death!

But, God, in His wisdom, omniscience, and mercy chose death to be a part of His plan for man's salvation. He created man in order to save Him, as that was the plan from before creation. God had in creation a plan of redemptive history in time and space for mankind. He did not have this plan for Satan and his rebellious angels. They are forever damned and enslaved to sin. These angels were created to be the recipients of His wrath and condemnation for their own sin, without being given any repentance and grace. But for man, God had planned all along to create man in order to show the riches of His mercy and grace. Death, though it end one's life in this world, is truly a release from our own sinful nature and the means that God uses to bring believers into an eternal state of being with God. In order for there to be a resurrection, there needs to be a death, as God has determined.

Does the word "Fearful" mean the same in Mark 4:40 as it does in Revelation 21:8?

Why is the word used in the same context, in Rev. 21, as the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars?
  • Judging__as a Believer - In Reply on Psalms 1 - 3 years ago
It's not given to us to judge anyones behaviors as to if they go to heaven or hell. That's Gods job. There are 2 future judgments awaiting everyone: the Bema Seat Judgment (rewards are given according to believers Deeds)

the Great White Throne Judgment (which God will be Judge). Is for unsaved mankind. Have NOT asked for Salvation from sins.

Since we are not God, we are NOT to judge. Lots of scripture on that. Solomon had 900 wives, Mary Magdalene was a prostitute; later a disciple of Jesus. SAUL/Paul executed Christians for Rome. And more.

We will all give an account of our deeds and judging. It's better to walk in forgiveness. It's not good to single out one scripture to justify judging. It's still judging.

    Ask God to forgive you.

I do it sometimes! Especially with our current Government. I have to repent. We all do.

    Hey Royce

There are somethings that have not been revealed to us like the two witnesses. Scripture does tell us these two will be killed by the beast that will ascend from the bottomless pit so, if they have died in the past they could not be killed, this flesh only dies once, Heb. 9:27. Some look at the transfiguration with Moses and Elijah but this was before Jesus was crucified and His resurrection.

Jesus is the Firstfruits of those who slept, 1Cor.15:20, and the firstborn from the dead, Cor. 1:18, and no man has ascended to heaven, John 3:13. In Matthew 17:9 Jesus told them to not tell this vision to anyone, the transfiguration was a vision, Moses and Elijah were not there. If they were there Jesus would not be the Firstfruits of them that slept. They were given a glimpse of the kingdom of God, Mark 9:1

Could God transport Enoch or anyone else into the future? I'm sure He has that kind of power. There are thoughts of John may be one, John 21:22 and Revelation 10:11. I guess the only way to know is if we are still living when they show up and they say their names. My understanding, we can confuse other scripture like the vision of the transfiguration trying to answer a question we cannot be sure of the truth of the answer.

    God bless,

  • God told them NOT to eat of the Two Trees - In Reply on Genesis 3 - 3 years ago
According to God's curses, Adam's and Eve's knowledge of good and evil would lead to great frustration, pain, and heartache. They would experience happiness and receive good gifts from God along the way, to be sure, but their days would be punctuated by conflict. In addition, their disobedience, knowing evil, meant that they and their offspring would be capable of continuing to commit great evil.

Although part of the curse, God's oracle that Adam would eventually die was also an act of mercy. Adam's hard life and ability to rebel against God and do harm to others would be limited-unless he ate from the Tree of Life. That would lead to an unending, hopeless existence separated from God.

Apparently, the fruit of the Tree of Life would provide physical immortality to Adam and Eve. For their own good and the good of all, God would not allow this. To be spiritually dead while remaining physically alive forever could only bring endless suffering. It's interesting to note that, depending on how one translated the original Hebrew, God doesn't appear to even finish His sentence before removing Adam and Eve from the garden in the next verse.

    Dear "Facts about marijuana,"

Thanks for sharing this information. I have to admit that I am not very good at math. I am just wondering, you say you are 71, and that would mean that you were born around 1950? If that's the case, how could you have been a teenager in the 70's. Wouldn't you have been in your 20's? Just curious!

    Renee,

Are you saved now? Have you been born of God's Spirit? If so, who are you trusting in as far as your salvation is concerned? Are you trusting in Jesus Christ, the one who saved you and has promised to never leave you? Or, are you trusting in yourself to keep yourself saved (Works based salvation)?

Zech 4 :14

And in Rev 11:4 ..These are the 2 Olive trees standing by the GOD OF THIS EARTH....And in Zech 4 :12 he says these are the 2 Olive trees that empty the Golden Oil outta of them selves...The Anointed ones is simply the H.G. and Jesus....Ye need no man teach you the Anointing you have received of him will teach you all things...ok lemme go ...Remember the 2 Anointed ones of Rev. 11 and ZECH. 4

What comes with the gospel is truth!

In the midst of the salvation that we inherit, is the truth! In the cleansing of the body and soul is the forgiveness of Sin.

Speaking clearly, enough for the world to hear, even so those who hate the truth who want to close the gates, our Savior has opened, and the glory of things that belong too you!

If the world could, keeping these things from you,Instilling fear , this fear that Paul speaks out against as He shouts from the depth of a dungeon of darkness, that even those sitting in the palaces cannot shut out!

You can see the truth clearly in these very pages if you take the time that is yet before you!

Paul turns the table , as they wait too see if they can silence Him! The wisdom of our God, opening ever wider the glory found in this little Jewish boy , the Christ child!

Proclaiming the forgiveness of Sin, the holy innocense found only in Him!

Can you hear Him, as He shouts out the words of truth!

This soul that will not allow you too sleep, as you turn and collide with your conscience .

This is the law that will contend with you. This is that the truth, the truth that exposes sin! This is the truth, that you must have, the forgiveness of sin!

Denying the Savior, is denying the truth.

This is the truth, that preceeds and follows after those that love Him! Can you see and hear it!

May God grant us these truths, Repent and be baptized

Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, "Behold, the man Adam is become as one of Us, to know general good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:-"

One of US,,, probably misread that, typo maybe, no biggie, it happens,,, Adam is become one of us.
  • Luke - In Reply - 3 years ago
Yeah, that's right, Elisha was the successor of Elijah, easy to mistype when multitasking, thank you, I'll be more careful, and look closer at ,,,

Revelation 11:3 And I will give power to My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days[3 years and a half], clothed in sackcloth."

4 These represent the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks which stand before the Lord of the earth.

How can they stand before the Lord?, it's because they didn't die, they were transfigured, God just took them.

Now, how many have stood on earth, and stands before the Lord? Enoch we know,,, but God wouldn't let anyone bury Moses; the Devil hunts for his bones but could never find them.

Matthew 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There are some of those standing here, which shall by no means taste of death, till they may have seen the Son of man coming in His kingdom."

    THE GLORY FORESHOWN, THE TRANSFIGURATION

Matthew 17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Him aside Peter, and James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

2 And was transfigured [changed in form] before them:and His face did shine as the sun, and His raiment became white as the light.

3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elijah talking together with Him.

Since Moses, and EliJAH were seen transfigured on the mount with Jesus, and we know of only the three that were transfigured, Enoch, Moses, and Elijah, it's more than likely the two witnesses are they.

Never base anything scriptural on popular belief/theory, the two witnesses still have much to do! they play a key role in the end times. Their work is not done, their testimony is yet to come, Revelation 11:7-13

Isaac and Jacob were both circumcised__as was Ishmael.

God initiated a covenant with Abraham that the Jews would be circumcised. Genesis 17:7-14; 21

In Genesis 17:15-21. God initiated a Covenant with Abraham and his wife Sarah, that a child of their flesh would be born to them in one years time.

In Genesis 17:20 God tells of the blessing given to Ishmael and his descendants: wealth, princes, power, kingdoms. Genesis 15:4, God says Ishmael is not Abrahams heir.

The DEED to the Lands of Israel- Genesis 12:1-3, 6-7 and

    Genesis 17:7-8. Genesis 15:12-21.

These are the issues that perpetuate struggles in the land of Israel. I know Ishmael was firstborn, but his mother is Hagar a handmaiden to Sarah. Abrahams wife was Sarah; the marriage covenant wife of Abraham. If you'll Google Hagars history, you'll see she returned to her people with Ishmael.

Later Sarah died and Abraham married another woman. Hagar returned there. I think I remember that she lived there for a time, but not in Abraham's household. Eventually she returned to her people. It's a very sad story.

I've lived missed opportunities myself. It's harsh. But we get up out of the ashes and see what God has planned for us, next.

Endings are usually sad, but new beginnings can be joyful.

    Joe Kidd,

There are groups that teach about "prayer cloths" but their teaching are not biblical. They get this from Acts 19:11-12.

There are actually ministries today that if you send in your prayer request, they will pray over it or they will pray over a piece of cloth.

And they will send it to you in the mail and for your donation of $100.00 or more they will send you a "prayer cloth" and if you touch it you get healed.

It comes from this text right here. These ministries are making millions a year from these donations! And they say it comes from this text in Acts Chapter 19.

But Acts 19:21-12 is a historical account. It is not a teaching! God didn't say to do it. This was a very special time when Paul's headband and his apron from work, people would touch it, and they would be healed and demons would be cast out.

Many groups took this as a money making scheme. The Mormons taught about a prayer cloth, along with several Pentecostal groups. But they completely misapplied the biblical account and used it as a way to make money and many people fell for their scheme.

We ask that you cause Van's body to successfully fight against this illness, having his white blood cells work efficiently to attack and neutralize the germ that is causing his sickness. We ask that You strengthen him and make him well. Thank you for your answer, Father. We trust Van will return to health soon. Amen.

    Mishael,

Thank you for the reply. I am glad to hear that you are remembering your sister with fond memories. I miss my Mom. When it was too hot for days and days, she would complain and hope it would rain. When it rained for weeks on end, she would complain and hope the rain would stop. I smile at that. It has been hot, hot, hot for the past few weeks. I imagine she would be hoping for rain if she were still here. I would call her every Sunday and Wednesday night to check in. I think about that when these days roll around.

I will pray for your brother, Chris. May he soon turn His life over to our Lord at the prompting of the Holy Spirit. We trust that He knows exactly what to do to bring your brother to Himself.

    Royce,

These two witnesses are mentioned in Revelation Chapter 11. The Bible does not give us their names so all we can do is guess. The response Luke gives is Moses and Elisha. If I had to take a guess, I would also say Moses, but not Elisha.

The most popular theory is that these two are Moses and Elijah, which is a view I also share. Many believe that what these two witnesses do, Moses and Elijah? has already been done. Elijah called fire down from heaven, and Moses changed the water into blood. Through Moses, God brought the plagues, and so many believe that the Law and the Prophets are represented by Elijah and Moses.
  • Pray for the Peace and Salvation of Israel - In Reply - 3 years ago
You are absolutely correct. God will deal with Israel personally. They did not perceive from their own scriptures that Jesus was their Messiah, the first time.

Even tho others did and were gloriously saved, healed and delivered.

The ELECTION is soon to pass back to Israel. The Gentiles will have to press into the God of the Bible to be saved and taken to heaven. We need to remember that.

Today is the Day of Salvation. Procrastination is a evil spirit. Press forward. No more delays.

Gentiles still need to respond to Jesus's words: pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. It's not optional.

  • Mark Valesano on Isaiah 28:18 - 3 years ago
Isaiah 28:10 and 13 appear to be repetitive in nature, but there is a significant difference that shows they mean two different things. In 28:10, the verse starts out, "For precept must be upon precept...", while in v. 12-13, "Yet they would not hear. But the word of the Lord was to them, precept upon precept..". In verse 10, God is declaring that His truth contained within the ordinances, commands, and statutes are best learned when repeated and heeded by those to whom it's spoken or read. However, if one simply wants to ignore the value of God's doctrines, then to them it becomes a repetitive list of do's and don'ts. Just so many rules that are too inhibitive and legalistic for a loving God to apply to them. Matthew Henry had it right in his commentary on these verses. Those who seek to serve the Lord build their lives upon the cornerstone of His Word (Jesus), while those who would serve themselves see the Bible as a stumbling block.

    Hi Nelson,

I assume you are speaking of some specific sin/s. No matter though. Try to think of sin as a cry for help due to a lack of love. You are not a heathen. Typically, ongoing sin produces overbearing guilt, yet to wallow in guilt is unproductive, as it will cause us to unload it on others which is attack, thus causing more guilt. This increases fear, which love does not do. We remain unhealed of sin when the source of sin is unhealed. The world is obviously into primarily healing symptoms and not the source.

There are only two causes: Love (God) and fear(the source that appears to oppose God) which is hate. We need look at our fear and recognize fear makes fear and none if it is from God. Also our faith (belief) in fear cannot be resolved through the mastery of fear. This is because the true resolution rests entirely on mastery through Love. Healing is release from the fear of waking and the substitution of the decision to wake. The decision to wake is the reflection of the will to love, since all healing involves replacing fear with Love.

We begin to heal when we begin to forgive. Forgive what? Everything. Myself, everyone, God, events, circumstances, etc. Try to think of forgiveness as remembering only the loving thoughts you gave in the past, and those that were given you; all the rest must be forgotten. Forgiveness of the the past is utmost because all that you've perceived IS past. God is eternal and will wait eternally, which is no time at all, for us to awaken and learn forgiveness. To put it off just prolongs our self inflicted misery and depression. Oh how wide and how long and high and deep is the love of Christ. I suggest you seek advice also from others as there are those who may not agree with me on some things. They are genuine in their concerns and can be very informative and helpful. I pray the Spirit of God will fill your mind with God's Love and forgiveness, and for the healing of our mind. God's Will be done. In Jesus Name.

    Peace

    God Is
