Suze love ya ...But lemme mention Philippians 2 : 6 kjv....He Jesus though it not robbery to be equal to God ....And another place he prayed ALL mine is thine and all thine is mine....Suze a sentence like that contitutes a equal binding contract on both parties......Both parties are equal....But he said that his father was greater then he...But in the natural a Son Always becomes equal to his father and thats what the father wants.....The Father wants his son to inherit everything he has....Thus Jesus was a true heir with all of the Israel of God....The Church...ok

I notice that a lot of men are attempting to answer this question . That's ok , I realise that a man , indeed not just men but any human , can not know the trauma of rape unless it has happened to them , it hasn't happened to me but I know women that it has happened to , one of them starved herself to death after she was raped , it took her two weeks . I am generally against abortion , certainly for Christians , however the world is not populated by Christians and it's not our place to judge those who are without the Truth , God does that . To all of you out there , as either a women who has been raped or as a parent of a child who has been raped , how would you feel if you or your child was forced to carry a rapists baby and bring it to birth . There can't be many things more horrifying than rape but then to have to carry that child ? Torture . I hope I never have to see anyone forced to endure that and to all women who have actually been able to do that of their own free will , my hat goes of to you with much respect . Christians have much more strength than non Christians , we know that God and Jesus are with us every step of the way and they will help us to do whatever we have to do in this life , with their help we can do anything , non Christians do not know that God will help them , they face this life without that wellspring of understanding and support . I'm not saying they are in the right because they are not , but they can only work with what they have in this life because they don't know anything other than this life and the things that pertain to it . It won't always be like this though , Christ is coming ! Big smiley face .

If we are going to disregard large parts of the old testament , such as Job Ch 1 V 21 , and many others where unpleasant things that happened are attributed to God and His judgements and punishments , then we will have to disregard them (God's judgements and punishments ) in the present and in the future , e.g. the wages of sin is death , the fact that God is in control of His earth and may use natural disasters to punish humans , He may stir up nations to go to war with each other to fulfill His purposes and what about the judgements to come ? Those outlined in Revelation and described as His judgements and punishments ? Do you see what I'm trying to say ? Exodus Ch 32 V 14 , Isaiah Ch 13 V 11-18 , I could go on and on .

Hi David , I wasn't replying to anyone , I've just recently read Acts (again) and noticed the verses I mentioned , that these verses , to me prove that Jesus is not equal to God , there is a difference between them , God is Sovereign . Hope I made that a bit clearer , I always know what I want to say but it doesn't always come out the way I want it to , smiley face .

You have to ask yourself this question about any innocent child in the womb ? And every one of them are innocent. Who has the right to end their life ?

I used to believe that it was ok to kill a baby if it was from a rape, but have since changed my mind. I think the Bible says somewhere not to return evil for evil. Even though what happened to the mom is wrong its also wrong denying someone's right to life and the life isn't the mom's body, it's God's. If God blesses the woman with a baby then what's wrong with delivering the baby for adoption? Might solve the whole problem?

One thing I'm not resolved on is taking the morning after pill or same day using a hot tub. Maybe I'm wrong but that doesn't seem like murder even though it would be a few hours after potential conception?

If you look in the Concordance by clicking on Genesis 1:27, man = mankind, human spelled English translated = the Hebrew name Adam sounds (aw-dawm)

1st does an interpretation represent GOD's Laws, standards, examples? Leviticus 20:17, 1Corinthians 10:13, James 1:13-15, Proverbs 11:1,

2nd What is the main points GOD is pointing us to? Romans 5:17-21,

3rd, does it feel right, truthful, honest in our spirit? John 14:26,27, James 1:5, 1John 2:27-29,

What about the 10 year old girl in the news who was raped and became pregnant? Should she be forced to have that child? Was it God's will that a man through lust and perversion raped her and requires her to give birth, at 10. Or was it the will of Satan.

In any other event if we followed the laws of God there would be no need for abortion. Abortion is due to sin. However, refer to above questions for thought.

But when it comes to righteous indignation (or better, anger) we really need to be careful that we are "majoring in majors and not majoring in minors". I've been in "church" situations where some address the pastor over insignificant matters, causing unneeded strife. Other times, people just brush off or look the other way concerning behaviors that are adverse to the godly way we are to behave and concerning teachings that are outrageously heretical or blasphemous. So, there is a "thin line" often between being truly acting from right motives and sinning when faced with something that we ought to be righteously angry over. But, we live in a culture, especially within the church that values "niceness" over honesty and being very "real". And people tend to be more receptive of flattery than honest, proper correction or even just an honest response.

In our society, sinful behaviors and words are not only to be tolerated, but accepted on equal level with the values of Christ and the belief in the exclusivity of the Christian Gospel over other religious beliefs. I face that in my own family, which is really at the root of the deep divide that exists. I don't know where all of this 'equity of acceptance of all things" will lead our society, but I do not think it will lead people to Jesus, for sure.

With all of this said, Jesus is the one who ultimately deals with the hearts, attitudes, and mindsets of other people. He may use us to bring truth, light, and conviction in others as well as consolation, encouragement, and uplifting of others who are downtrodden in their sins and seek a remedy.

I have met so many Christians who insist that Jesus never got angry or chastised or berated anyone. But He did, without sinning. He was always appropriate in any admonition or rebuke, getting straight to the heart of the matter to those who needed this. Yet He was gentle and compassionate to those who needed a loving, more soft-handed response from Him. He gave every person the words and works they most needed in those moments. We cannot, of course, know the minds and hearts of others like Jesus did and still does. But we can learn to discern what our response to others should be like. We learn to do this with our children in raising and nurturing them. Sometimes they need firmness and an unpleasant consequence, other times, grace, forgiveness, and understanding them in their weakness. Other times, we can give straight out instruction, and other times we let them try and fail at a task, learning to problem solve.

I do think we should never excuse in ourselves bad manners, ill feelings, nor rudeness to others, but in walking with the Spirit we can come to know what is the best and most appropriate things to say and do. For instance, this week I needed to advocate for my siblings in matters concerning how our oldest sister, who is power of attorney and executor of our Mom's estate is not only handling these funds, but in requesting that she disclose bank statements and an accounting of what is paid out, for what, and to whom. I knew that it would not sit well with her or a few other siblings who usually are on her side of the deep divide in our family (decades old), but I knew that I needed to address this sooner rather than later, for her benefit as well as for my other siblings who are all equal heirs. My request stirred up some emotional responses from some, but others were thanking me for addressing this issue. But my conscience is clear, as I meant no harm, nor had any ill intentions in this.

Also remember in Exodus 20:4 Thou shall not make any graven image or likeness that included what was written so even when

I agree with the Elijah coming in the form of John the Baptist. But Malachi 4:5 was talking about the great and dreadful day of the LORD. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:. So we have to go in the Book of Revelation. The only verse I can relate, in my opinion is Revelation 11:3-4

And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Then again there are two witnesses. I went back to Matthew, Mark, Luke, for they mostly say the same thing, but Luke elaborated more.

Luke 9:30-33

And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias: Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem. But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

verse 5 of Malachi is interesting

Mal 4:5 (KJV) Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

Mal 4:6 (KJV) And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet - This is meant alone of John the Baptist, as we learn from Lu 1:17, in whose spirit and power he came.

Lu 1:17 (KJV) And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

He shall go before him - Jesus Christ, in the spirit and power of Elijah; he shall resemble Elijah in his retired and austere manner of life, and in his zeal for the truth, reproving even princes for their crimes; compare 1Ki 21:17-24, with Mt 14:4. It was on these accounts that the Prophet Malachi, Mal 4:6, had likened John to this prophet. See also Isa 40:3; and Mal 4:5, Mal 4:6.

To turn the hearts of the fathers - Gross ignorance had taken place in the hearts of the Jewish people; they needed a Divine instructer: John is announced as such; by this preaching and manner of life, all classes among the people should be taught the nature of their several places, and the duties respectively incumbent upon them, See Lu 3:10, etc. In these things the greatness of John, mentioned Lu 1:15, is pointed out, Nothing is truly great but what is so in the sight of God.
