    Thank you Chris,

the service went well for the most part. I shared from Scripture, highlighting Timothy, who was taught by his mother and grandmother from a young age and how I felt that way about Mom showing us her faith and desiring us to know the faith of the gospel of Christ from the start of our lives. I shared that her example of faith and determination to bring her children up to know the salvation of God in Christ Has been the best gift she has given me. I also shared from Hebrews 12:1-4 concerning the great cloud of witnesses that surround us and how my Mom is now one of those witnesses and that in time I will become such a witness in the cloud of those who have passed from death into eternal life. Several of my neighborhood friends from childhood were there and one in particular came up to me after all my siblings had shared and told me how much he appreciated my witness and how glad he was to share the same faith with me. That blessed my heart.

The only concerning part was when my sister (who said she was not going to come to anything pertaining to Mom again after we divided up all of her belongings) showed up to give her spiritist occultic drum beating "presentation". I went in the kitchen to help with food at that time so I did not have to be a part of her ceremony, as did several others who shared the same sentiment. I came back out when she was sharing some pictures and some remembrances. After wards, she was just going to leave and not participate any further. I asked her to stay and have lunch with our family and guests. she declined. I then offered to make a take home meal for her. She said yes, and I got that done for her. She left for the rest of the service but came back after it was over to take home some flowers and some things that she had let us borrow. Well, I tried, and I was kind to her. But we shall see if she changes her mind about anything in the future.

There was about 25 direct family members and 25 relatives and friends.

Yes, many refer to this event of Jesus followers being caught up in the air to meet Jesus as being a rapture.

Some believe its the same event as Matthew 24:39-44, but verse 39 likens it to the flood in which the unbelievers were taken away. Either way, we should be ready.

The verse "the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath" ( Matthew 12:8) does seem to show that there is a justification for it to now be the day of rest and worship. We see evidence elsewhere of disciples meeting the "first day of the week" in Acts 15:30 and 20:7. Collections are also to be made on that day according to 1 Corinthians 16:9; but in that case it seemed to be specifically for Paul and it doesn't seem to indicate that was when they would always fellowship together. Colossians 2:16 could also relate to not disputing when we meet together. It doesn't seem any demand is to meet on Sunday; and Messianic Jews still do so on Saturday.

The verse about the Sabbath being made for man indicates that there is a superior principle involved. Namely; those things called "works" on the Sabbath that were added laws to the original statute were not to be considered legitimate. Whereby; a legitimate need such as eating; feeding animals; or healing men were frequently used as examples of how those principles of mercy; love and justice were to supercede superficial legalistic practices. Thus; Jesus would quote the scripture about Daniel and the shewbread as justification for His actions and that of the disciples. Those laws that were in effect specifically for the Jews were eventually superceded by grafting in of Jews and Gentiles; and since Christ is God in the flesh honoring Pentecost (which had a significant prophetic indication of Christ's fulfillment at the Ascencion after the Resurrection) we now are under grace. We are now under a New Covenant; which allows us to fulfill the law as He ever lives to intercede for us and His Spirit remains within us. (see Hebrews 7:25; Ephesians 1:13-14). There is no Temple; and animal sacrifices hence Jews have no way to follow former purification rites. We can choose to rest on Saturdays; or Sundays as I see it-just as we can still celebrate the Passover. Obviously there is much controversy here on this subject.

    Hello Sandra,

It doesn't directly say that. Most infer that. Suicide is sin and is destroying a precious life that God created. It's going against God's will in a big way. God is the judge. People who perceive no way out or various emotions are subject to change and often are not reliable indicators. Many who attempt it and fail are later glad it failed, because it helped create a paradigm shift in their thinking and appreciation for what they have.

I personally don't believe someone whose death is immiment and is suffering and comotose that pulling the plug on artificial life support is necessarily a sin, but something all family must have consensus on.

There's another discussion about the suicide I saw from just today or yesterday if you scroll down.

"Teaching them to observe whatsoever I have commanded you."

If you believe Jesus is God then aren't whatever He commanded his Disciples to do be things that we also should do? Baptize, repent, turn the other cheek, love each other, do good, be the salt and light of the world, feed the poor, care for the sick, widows and orphans, visit those in prison, shelter the homeless, clothe the naked, give freely to those that need, expect no repayment, be careful that you don't strive after money and the things of this world, live humbly, share, be generous, pray, be careful how you judge, to name some.
  • Brother Biti - In Reply - 3 years ago
It does not say it directly. But It also does in a way.Because What is sin? So if you keep the Commandments it says "Thou shalt not kill"

So in closing, not keeping the Commandments may send you to hell. in the meanwhile go read Ecclesiastes 7:17 also Check out Jeremiah 29:11.

Yes. Suicide = not enjoying life. God haves us a life to enjoy it.
  • Samantha - In Reply - 3 years ago
You're technically hating your life if you kill yourself. God gave you a life to enjoy 80-100 years of life.

  • Ricardo L - In Reply - 3 years ago
Good evening Sandra, God bless you and your family. My name is Ricardo, your question is a common question but it is stated differently. It's usually, what is the unforgivable sin? The unforgivable sin is a question that leads to more questions and bigger questions about faith, truth and belief i'll start off with a little at a time but all is coming from the Bible so don't believe what I write but believe the Bible.

    The unforgivable sin?

"Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men." Matthew 12:31 KJV

The belief that we are the temple of the Holy Ghost?

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" 1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV

    It seems I've missed counted.

    Part 10.

The faith of Christ gives a fruit filled life to a believer by the power of Christ spirit in you.

The works you do is your nature!

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10. This is what James is saying.

These works don't produce life, they will be tested by fire and will confirm life and maturity! 1 Corinthians 3:10-15.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. John 4:23.

    God bless.

    Sister Barbara:

    Is she mixed up:

Colossians 1:27 ...this mystery ..... CHRIST IN YOU ....

Christ CAME THE SECOND TIME at pentecost; in SPIRIT, as the Holy Ghost.

Hebrews 9:28 So, Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many (first coming, as flesh), and unto them that look for him (as a thief in the night) he shall appear the SECOND TIME (unseen like a thief, as the Holy Ghost) without SIN UNTO SALVATION.

Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD (the life of the body) that WORKETH in you (his body) both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

Revelation 20:6 Blesses and HOLY (Christ in you) is he (the body of Christ) that hath part in the FIRST RESURRECTION ..

John 11:25 ....I am THE RESURRECTION, and the LIFE, he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall HE LIVE.

    CHRIST IN YOU.

1 John 2:27 The anointing (THE LIFE) in you ....... will teach you ALL THINGS .......

Colossians 3:3 For ye are DEAD, and your LIFE is HID with Christ in God.

Christ blood COVERS our sins, to REPENT means to change your way of thinking, or your beliefs.

It takes lots of studying God's word and lots of repenting in the way, and things, we believe.

    God Bless you.

    Hi Peter,

It sounds like you're assuming the Sabbath and worshipping God are supposed to be the same day instead of two separate days. Do you recall what led you to draw this conclusion?

We are to worship, follow, and honor God every day. First century Christians met on the first day of the week which I believe is Sunday. This custom has continued until today, but it is good to gather and worship anytime. Jesus was resurrected on Monday and some believe this is the Lord's Day. Bible references: Acts 20:7, 1 Cor 16:1-2, Psalms 118:24

I noticed you tried to discredit Sunday by referring to a pagan name, but not Saturday even though the same smear tactic could be applied. For me, pagans don't own the days, don't own the names, and have no power, just like they don't own Christmas and won't prevent me from celebrating Christ's birth, and just how sodomites don't own the rainbow, which God made and means God's promise, not the sin that some cults and loud bullies associate with it.

    OLD AND NEW COVENANT

These two covenants are as far apart as the east is from the west.

Revelation 21:5 ......I make ALL THINGS NEW ........

In the Old Covenant, LIFE was in the BLOOD.

Flesh and Blood CANNOT inherit the NEXT AGE.

Christ came as a BODY of Flesh and Blood.

John 3:7 .....ye must be BORN AGAIN.

We CANNOT inherit the next age, because we are still flesh and blood.

When this BODY of flesh and blood DIES, it goes back to dust from whence it came.

The LIFE goes back to GOD that gave the BODY LIFE.

1 Corinthians 15:49 ....we SHALL bear the image of the heavenly ....

1 Corinthians 15:53 ...this mortal SHALL PUT ON IMMORTALITY (Christ) ...

1 Timothy 6:16 Who (CHRIST) ONLY hath immortality ....

1 Corinthians 15:38 God giveth it (the NEW COVENANT IN CHRIST) a BODY as it hath pleased, and to ever SEED HIS (Christ's) own BODY (I AM the RESURRECTION John 11:25)

    YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN.

John 3:16 Whosoever BELIEVES SHALL (at the DEATH of this flesh and blood body) BE SAVED .....Delivered.

    Revelation 12:1 ...A WOMAN (Christ bride) .....

Revelation 12:2 An she (Christ's bride) being with CHILD cried, travailing in BIRTH, and pained to be DELIVERED (given a BODY to exist in the NEW COVENANT.

Revelation 12:5 And she brought forth a man Child, who was to RULE ALL NATIONS with a rod of iron .....

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh (the deception of this age, free will) and keepeth MY WORKS ( Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD that WORKETH IN YOU both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure), to him will I give power over the nation.

Revelation 2:27 And he shall RULE THEM with a red of iron, even as I received of MY FATHER ( Psalms 2:8-9) ...

Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father OF ALL .....

Christ pour out his blood, and the flesh and blood BODY, DIED.

The Father RAISED Christ's BODY from the GRAVE and gave him a NEW BODY.

A Flesh and Bone BODY, the blood no longer the LIFE; but, the LIFE was SPIRIT.

John 4:24 God is SPIRIT (LIFE) ....

    God Bless ALL.

    Part 9.

    The faith of Christ.

    Galatians 2:15-16.

We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by "THE FAITH "OF" CHRIST", even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Who's faith? CHRIST FAITH! We were lacking faith it had to be given to us! Ephesians 2:8-9.

Some have objected to this interpretation, saying that faith (pistis) is feminine, while that (touto) is neuter. That poses no problem, however, as long as it is understood that that does not refer precisely to the noun faith but to the act of believing. Further, this interpretation makes the best sense of the text, since if that refers to by grace you have been saved through faith (that is, to the whole statement), the adding of and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God would be redundant, because grace is defined as an unearned act of God. If salvation is of grace, it has to be an undeserved gift of God. Faith is presented as a gift from God in 2 Peter 1:1, Philippians 1:29, and Acts 3:16.

Boy is that humbling! We can't produce faith, there is nothing to boast on that either!

That is why some say you can lose your salvation, and no one is saved until the Judgement.

THEY'RE NOT SURE. "VOID OF CHRIST FAITH"

Just believing is his name don't cut it either.

John 2;23-24. "Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many "BELIEVED IN HIS NAME", when they saw the miracles which he did. But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,

You have to believe in his work, through the Holyspirit. (FAITH OF CHRIST)

Romans 10:9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and SHALT BELIEVE IN THY HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, thou shalt be saved.

    1 Corinthians 1:18.

    See part 9.

    James 2:14-26.

    God bless.

I have been talking to a person that insists that Jesus is here on the earth now! I've tried to explain to her that when Jesus returns it will be for the Church (Christians) and that the second coming is when Jesus returns with judgment & his wrath. She also says we have to be Holy before we can enter Heaven. Meaning Holy in our earthly bodies. As we are supposed to try and be Holy and obey God's commands as long as we are in this earthly vessel it's sad to say that we still have a sinful nature. But that we can ask Jesus to forgive us when we truly repent. How do I get through to her that there's no way we could be Holy without the shed blood of Jesus. She is of Chinese desert and she teaches an online fellowship. She's very mixed up in her beliefs.

Interesting discussions. I take you to 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 that you all familiar with.

Moreover brethren I declare unto you the Gospel, which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand. By which also ye are saved, IF ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have BELIEVED IN VAIN. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received. HOW that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures. And that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

You noticed Paul said "I lie not" on the very first verse. Apostle Paul is the last Apostle chosen by our very own Jesus Christ, who revealed the most important thing we Gentiles need to do. And Jews can benefit if they would read between the lines. There is no other way folks. I know you will say you already know. I cannot emphasized you have to separate flesh from your spirit because we walk only in Spirit. We have work to do for whatever time is left. We are so blessed we have it relatively easy in our lifetime. King David knew it and Apostle Paul was spiritually jealous. Use it wisely. Details are in the book of Romans to Philemon. Read and execute what the will of God for you. Most especially, Love your spouse deeply and rejoice evermore. Agape to all.
