Jesse - in Reply on 1 Corinthians 12

    Craig,

Verse 27 literally tells us that we are the body of Christ, and members specifically, particularly, together. We're all individuals and we all make up the body of Christ. ....

....even those that prophesy...are part of the body...

Now as far as modern day prophets is concerned, there is no new prophecy. The bible is very clear that we are not to add or take away from the prophecy that is contained in the book. So if anyone comes along today claiming to be a prophet, right away a "red flag" should come up.

"WRONG".....In reply to this... I am a prophet... almost weekly ...i prophesy over people and see it come to fruition...

The nine gifts of the spirit are still in operation today...very much so... and your comment on adding to the book ... you better go back and read that again...

Deuteronomy 4 .1 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, ...... unto the statutes and unto the judgments,...... which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. 2.Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. meaning the statutes and the judgments...

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man "shall add unto these things," God shall add unto him the plagues "that are written in this book:"

19 and if any man shall take away from the words "of the book of this prophecy", God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written " in this book" ......

THE BOOK OF "REVELATIONS" ... NOT THE WHOLE BIBLE...

Because the bible has been translated several times throughout history

He didn't want to fulfill the custom of providing his blood so that his brothers widow could have a child of the bloodline of the family. He went into her and had relations; then he went outside and spilled the seed on the ground. Which God judged instantly.

    You can Google that custom.
  • The Sin of Abortion - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 3 years ago
    Adding a thought__

Jesus was a blessing to all of mankind inside of Mary's womb.

There are other scriptures that God called prophets from the womb. God oversaw infants in the womb, called to be leaders. We may never know how many remarkable people (male or female) whose lives were ended in the womb.

In the name of Prochoice. In Deuteronomy 30, beginning at verse 15-20, God says to Choose Life or Death. It's a very serious passage. What we choose to do is RECORDED in Heaven.

I don't have to write 2000 words to explain that Choice.

We know in our hearts that any kind of murder is recorded in Heavens books.

The idea that it's not a human life because it hast drawn a breath of air, is a LIE. So don't even try to justify it. God set forth the rule.

Life is life. Even if that life was a product of rape__God will place that child to be adopted and raised up to bless God. The arguments are not with me or anyone else. God is your adversary if you decide on a murder. Heaven and earth are the witnesses.

Come to Jesus and be forgiven if you've done this.

Hi street preacher , I have often wondered if Jeremiah Ch 2 V 34 was a reference to abortion . I'm sure that as long as women have been getting pregnant people have found ways of killing the unborn baby .

Luke 23:34 "Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."

hand, and the other on the left.

Here, the verb "said" records in the imperfect tense. An imperfect tense verb describes a continuous and repeated behavior or action.

In effect, JESUS CHRIST spoke these words many times regarding HIS FATHER's Forgiveness toward HIS crucifiers before HIS death on the cross.

Moreover, JESUS CHRIST spoke the verb "forgive" in the imperative mood. An imperative mood verb is a command which demands obedience.

BOTH GOD THE FATHER and GOD THE SON mutually agree perfectly with one another in all matters as CHRIST proclaimed in John 10:30: "I and MY FATHER are ONE."

As THEY are both ONE in Essence, so too are THEY both ONE in agreement, purpose, cooperation, and behavior. BOTH acts as unified One-ness in all matters.

BOTH GOD THE FATHER and GOD THE SON DIVINELY Designed, Purposed, and Willed this Forgiveness in eternity passed which is why JESUS CHRIST prayed these words from the cross and also which is why GOD THE FATHER willingly obeyed the imperative.
  • Deborah of Judges 4 - In Reply - 3 years ago
Deborah the Prophetess and Only Female Judge in the History of Christianity. Out of all the Biblical women in history, Deborah emerged as an exceptional military leader. Fearless and obedient to God, She led the Israelites to victory and out of bondage. She was a prophetess and the fourth judge of pre-monarchic Israel.

Deborah was a busy woman. Judges 4:5 says, "She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites went up to her to have their disputes decided." Deborah was a woman of great wisdom, revelation, and discernment.

A woman of prayer. Name in Hebrew, defined, Bee.

Genesis 35:8, Genesis 24:58-67, I've wondered if this is the same nurse that went with Rebekah, when Abraham sent for a wife for Isaac. It appears so.

Also a Deborah Prophetess, Judges 4:4, Judges 4, Judges 5,

    Hopefully these are helpful

    John,

As Suze said, you will get opinions and some of these opinions have been passed down from many generations. Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in: earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Not sure what you are thinking spirit world? In scripture there are devils/demons on this earth that cannot be seen but can occupy mortal beings, people/animals, Matthew 8. There are angels that cannot be seen or can take on physical form and be seen and interact with humans, as in Hebrews 13:2 and more.

If you are thinking human spirits, you must study with prayer and let the Holy Spirit guide you. Much of what is believed and taught is based on the human soul is immortal. Can that be found in the word of God?

This soul immortality I guess goes back as far as the serpent in the garden. Many religions accept the soul is immortal, Socrates, then Plato, and then Augustine's theology became standard for the Church. The definition of death became the separation of the soul from the body. Or does immortality come at resurrection, 1 Corinthians 15:54?

This is just a few things to inspire your study, my opinion is meaningless, let the word of God with the Holy Spirit be your teacher.

    God bless,

    RLW

    Hello Street Preacher,

I, too, do not study the Apochrypha for the same reasons you mentioned. I wasn't encouraging anyone to study it, I was just mentioning that historically, it was included in the original KJV up until the 1700's. That's all.

I wouldn't call it a spirit world but I understand your question. The majority of modern churches teach there's no Heaven after death for the elect. This is a lie from Satan. Now, under the Old Covenant those who died in God had been for a time in Hades (the paradise side of Sheol)...such as we understand in part from Solomon

Ecclesiastes 12:7 - Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

These verse describe not only our being born again in Salvation but equally that God gives those washed in His Blood an eternity with him (Heaven...like or lump it)

John 5:24 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

There are two sides of the grave after death: From the unsaved there's Hell and the save eternal life with God

    Christ warns...

Matthew 10:28 - And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

So, I wouldn't necessarily say Spirit world as the Holy Spirit lives in every born again believer. So, we know in part of that already. The body can be injured, hurt and pass away. But the soul cannot die and has only one of two destinies after death. That's why Salvation is so very important:

    John 3:16-18

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

Genesis 2:7 speaks of how God created the first man not every living soul there after. He created Eve from Adams rib yet every women there after is not created from a rib are they? People love to make things up to satisfy their sinful nature and feel better so they can get through life on a daily basis continuing to sin. Study, in depth, how conceiving a child works and you will see for yourself how God created this miraculous-magical-miracle (look up "Laminin" while your at it) for we did not come from an ape. **So, sorry to say .. abortion is murder.!** (the change of one word ((jot/tittle)) can change the whole books meaning so read a KJV bible. Hebrew & Greek or any other language meanings, are totally different then the English meanings so this is where the confusion comes in because very few actually study the true meaning before spouting off lies.)

Hi John , you asked a big question there smiley face , and if everyone on this site answered it for you you would get a lot of different opinions . The best advice I can give you is to read the whole Bible for yourself . I can tell you what I believe which is , that those people who die in their sins are just dead , gone forever , people who have entered into a covenant relationship with God will be ressurescted and judged when Christ returns . Those are my beliefs . There are many on here who will disagree with me and I'm fine with that . Please read it all for yourself and enjoy it .

Actually, in Leviticus 20:5-6 it talks about man spilling his seed and shall be put to death; however, the bible is talking about child sacrifice, not masturbations.

Acts 2:38 states to repent and be baptized for the remission of sins; and then you will be filled with the Holy Ghost. On the surface it may seem that not only is baptism required; but also it along with repentance is needed for forgiveness. Clearly; this is not the case as is seen from John the Baptist himself who told the Pharisees to repent BEFORE the baptism was given. At that time the Spirit did not dwell with us permanently after salvation after it did after Pentacost and the upper room experience.

This could be compared in a way to confessing with our mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord to be saved. ( Romans 10:9-10). Believing in the heart is a necessary condition; lest we simply have a mantra that is some intellectual acceptance of Christ as Lord; who He actually is to every person; whether or not they have been given a new heart post conversion or are still unregenerate.

The clear example is the thief at the cross. ( Luke 23:39-43). He didn't have time to be baptized; but clearly Christ was going to be with him in paradise. Therefore; baptism is as an outer confession; it demonstrates our public affirmation of becoming part of the Body and Christ and symbolizes in some ways the death; burial and resurrection in our own lives mirroring that of Christ; our head. It is clearly a command; hence it should be done ASAP after conversion. One could say that if a person does NOT seek to be baptized and goes on a long time without it it is likely there is no evidence that they have truly repented. If we love Him; we obey His commands. ( John 14:15). Obviously we should test ourselves to see if we are in the faith ( 2 Cor. 13:5-6); or as a Pastor see if there are any fruits indicating true repentance ( Matthew 3:8; etal). Matthew 5:19 shows if we break the least of the commandments and teach others to do so we shall be least in the Kingdom of Heaven. That should be a sobering warning of losing rewards for disobedience for elders and laypersons alike

Giannis, I really do appreciate you being open to this topic. The verses you have given a very popular for those who feel we can't be sin free. As you read the Bible be open to the adjectives in the scriptures and text. Ask yourself when you think you have sinned. Is it really a sin. Do I honestly want to leave it or do I like the thought that I can remain in my failures and Christ views me as perfect anyway. IF Christ gives grace to overcome some sins, why can't he give power to overcome all sins. Lets just consider some of the wording of the scripture. 1) Dead to sin or Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon Dye also yourselves to be "dead indeed" unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 2)Jesus told the woman at the well "go and sin no more".... not try to do better. 3) 1John 5:8 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God "keepeth himself", and that wicked one "toucheth him not". So we have phrases "doth not commit sin", "cannot sin", "toucheth him not", "dead indeed unto sin", James 1:15 "and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death". The following verse says "Do not err, my beloved brethren". An explanation of what I understand the scriptures in 1 John to mean "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." Answer: we know we all had Adam's nature of sin prior to conversion to say we didn't is to deceive ourselves. "If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us". Answer: All have sinned and come short of the glory of God prior to conversion. The following verse is what I believe is the complete mission of Jesus coming to the earth. 1 John 3:5 "And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin". And by this mission we will "have life and have it more abundantly". Have a blessed day!
  • The Curse of Abortion. - In Reply - 3 years ago
To understand the twisted roots of Abortion, we should Google some of the studies and archaeological finds,

Concerning ancient idols of the gods: Moloch or Molech. Videos on YouTube.

Modern Abortion is many people with a shared IDEAOLOGY: My Body My Choice. They take their violence publically to the streets and make a public spectacle of themselves; legislating for unlimited murder of unborn defenseless babies.

It's generally combined with gay liberation as well.

Well this is my comment on that: Abortion is not a form of BIRTH CONTROL. I see no sign of intelligence in their riots, rants, violence, breaking constitutional laws concerning registered, peaceful assembly; outside of private homes with small children inside. Against entire neighborhoods?!?

There is no sense of impropriety. Seriously, look at Pelosi's face. No high paid make up artist can spackle out the lines of pure hatred off her face. She might've sold her soul to something real dark. The LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil. She needs those Pro choice people to default back to. She thinks she's popular.

The Good News is, all those aborted babies are in heaven with God. Beautiful bodies. Happy. No memories about what was done to them. They are loved.

The reason I don't read the Apocrypha is because it centers around the Chaldeans; Giants and the rest.

I'm an evangelist. I choose to keep my focus on what Jesus did and what He said to be doing (Go Ye). That impresses me. Praying in a War Room with others, helps the spiritually bound, be freed. The Gospel is a Person, and He said to me and many others, Follow Me.

Apocrypha isn't going to help unbelievers to give their hearts to Jesus. I'm not going to change my mind
  • Abortion is a ritual of those who choose death over Life - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 3 years ago
90% Americans do not recognize that child killing began way back in Old Testament.

I found history about it on YouTube, under the names of the false god the babies and children were sacrificed to.

Those ancient names are Moloch or Molech. You can read the history and see the paintings; which are hideous. The babies thrown into ovens, burned alive by satanic "priests".

The difference is now women feel empowered by "My Body, My Choice". Many stopped taking birth control when it was thought to cause strokes, physical problems, migraines, etc.

Abortion became the New Birth Control. They choose to not think that multiple abortions cause irreparable scar tissue in a womb.

Also it became the mantra for gay and lesbian groups.

Then we have to hear how difficult it is, they cannot conceive a baby naturally now.

We know that the innocent unborn souls were taken to heaven, to live there eternally with God. Whether they ever meet their mothers is another matter. Let's find peace in that. It's in Gods capable hands.

I agree with Daniel's post. There are indeed lists of sins throughout the Bible, but not organized in the way you describe which probably has catholic roots.

    Examples:

    1 John 2:16

    Mark 7:21-23

    1 Corinthians 6:9-10

    Galatians 5:19-21

    etc.

There is one single list in Scripture that comes to mind in response to your question: Proverbs 6:16-19.

The list should be self-explanatory and not require commentary.

You will not find a list of "seven deadly sins" delineated comprehensively in the Scripture; if I am not mistaken that is a fabrication of the Catholic church, if not an abstract "spiritual" principle present in pagan sects predating it.

What you will find in Scripture is that all sin, outside of Christ, is deadly... All sin can also effectively be traced back to one single sin, namely, the pride of man. Pride deceives us. Pride keeps us from beleiving God's word.

Conversely, all "righteousness" can be traced back to faith, and faith to humility. It was not without note that when Jesus' disciples asked him to increase their faith, he effectively responded to them, "increase *your* humility."
