  • The Last Wars of Mankind - In Reply - 3 years ago
God adopted Israel to be his peculiar people. They had no say in it. He said they are as the apple of His eye. He made a blood covenant for the Land to be deeded to Abraham and his wife Sarah.

Ishmael who was Abrahams first son with Hagar the handmaid given by Sarah, to Abraham: he has an amazing inheritance given to him by God: riches, other lands, kingdoms and princes__forever. No matter how the boys try to transfer and divide it up.

The Boundaries of Israel are recorded in the scriptures. Jerusalem belongs to Israel. The final wars of mankind will be fought over Israel. Ishmael will be fighting against God.

Nobody really believes it. So it will seem to many that God is not being fair. The son of Sarah's body is the heir of Israel.

ISHMAEL's inheritance is incredibly generous and full of riches and power. But they will fight against God at the valley of (Megiddo) Armageddon, in the Last War. Now is when Messiah will return the 2nd Time. Without doubt.

Nuclear weapons will only serve to bring the end closer.

When I asked the question: When you're saved are you born again? I already believe that I had the answer. I wanted to hear other comments. We were all born of the sinful blood of Adam. That is why Jesus says: We must be born again. The bible says that when we are born again that we become a new creature, old things pass away, all things are made new. We are born into the family of God. Our name is written into the book of life. Jesus is in the family of God. Jesus is sinless. Jesus died to make us sinless, however in Hebrews Chap. 10 verse 26 : If we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. That is why in Matt. Chap. 7 verses 13 & 14: Enter ye in at the strait gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Brothers and sisters the line before the Great White Throne judgement of Rev. 20 is innumerable. All that stand before Jesus when the books are opened and your name is not written in the book of life will be destroyed with the evil one. All that go before the Great White throne are called goats. We that inherit eternal life are the sheep of Jesus and we are born into the family of God....

The Holy KJV may not have an individual verse to discuss with youth about this but God is very vocal about how masterbation does destroy one. Masterbation and pornography are just as addictive as the strongest drugs and have terrible consequences. Serial killer Ted Bundy said before his execution that the one thing that made him determined to murder women was him watching them in pornography as a young boy.

    Matthew 5:28

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

The above verse says volumes. Just starting there with what the eye is exposed to the mind devises evil. The eye is a gateway to the soul and when one masterbates; the damage is done to the soul and spirit.

    2 Corinthians 7:1

1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

The following verses are not meant to be taken literally. But think about it, if a member was being used (hand, eye, or even the mind)...it'd better it were spiritually cut off than to cast the whole body in...

    Matthew 5:30

30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut if off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

I hope this helps and knowing someone who struggled with this addiction for many years, there is hope...but only in Christ Jesus. That's the only way to overcome this addiction.

.....Thats y the sower will go forth to sow his seed in our hearts that we might birth a baby Christ which is the H.G....Multiplication of his seed was the great Promise....And thats y he always refered to himself as the SON OF MAN.

.....The Wheat is a baby Christ simply b/c the sower of that good seed is the bridegroom....Thus he is truly the SON OF MAN...Simply b/c he said whosoever receiveth one such child in my name receives me...see the son of man is not really Jesus but the H.G. his offspring.....our fruit unto God.

Could 'the wood devoured more people that day than the sword' also include those killed by arrows (made of wood)? We know that archery was used by king David...
  • Chris - In Reply on Matthew 12 - 3 years ago
Hi Roy. Briefly, the Son of Man is a title used exclusively by Jesus - His disciples never addressed Him as such.

Jesus used it to emphasize His humanity ( Matthew 8:20; Mark 8:31), though there were occasions where He used the title, Son of God ( John 3:18; John 5:25; John 9:35-37; John 10:36; etc).

The title, Son of Man, also goes back to the Book of Daniel where the Son of Man would inherit the everlasting kingdom of God ( Daniel 7:13,14). It is a designation of the Messiah Who would inherit God's everlasting Kingdom.

At His trial Jesus acknowledged that He was indeed the Son of Man - the one who would bring in God's everlasting kingdom ( Matthew 26:64,65). When the religious leaders heard this they accused Him of blasphemy - making Himself equal with God.

The purpose of the title seems to be Jesus' Own emphasis on His Humanity. And through His Humanity, doing the Works of God as none other had done before & bringing the Words of God as they never heard before, the people would also see that this was no ordinary man (as was believed, the son of Joseph & Mary), but One of God, sent by God. Jesus' Life even till His Death proved to at least some folk that this Son of Man was indeed the Son of God: they needed to come to realize this fact by observation, not by His proclamation.

Jesus is all God and all Human. He set aside his powers as the Son of God, to be born to Mary. In her Jesus was fully Human. He did not have Joseph's blood.

He was called Immanuel: God with us.

Jesus called himself, after he was anointed in Luke 4:18. Jesus said of himself, he was the Son of Man (human) .

I'm hoping you'll respond as unto Jesus, and not me.

We really need to do some hours in the Prayer Request Room link. There's great needs in there.

I just found out how flippant I can be. I'm ashamed. I had to re-write the letter and take me out of it.

    THERES SO MANY REQUESTS

In here, one person may get 10 replies from 10 people. The people in there have real need. Like, need to know someone cares.

My funny stories and humor are not useful; maybe even unwanted. I know better. I was thinking back to when I hit the sidewalks regularly. I was friendly but not irreverent about why I was out on a sidewalk talking to street urchins. You hear their stories how their parents toss them out and don't know where they are. Then the college kids too educated to talk to anyone. My older regulars (wino's) who lived in doorways at night and always needed my ham sandwiches.

Suns up. I better catch a few zzz's. God bless you all.

Hi Bro. Jesse I hear what you and steven is saying about no wrath but you are not thinking in the Spirit...The scripture says outta of his mouth goes a sharp sword that he will smite the nations..thats his wrath... Rev 19 : 15...He treadeth the Wrath of God Almighty

....And Jesus said i come not to bring peace but a Sword...Thats his wrath...And the slain of the lord will be many. Wrath ...And his WORDS were softer then oil but war was in his heart...Wrath

....And Hebrews 12 : 8...But if you be without Chastisment where of all are partakers, Then are you bastards and not sons..Whom the LORD LOVETH he Chastens...His wrath is his love...If we donot partake of his Wrath we will not partake of his love.

.....Thats y he is saying I come to bring fire on the EARTH which is his Chastisment....Whom the lord LOVETH he chastens.. Hebrews 12 : 6 Which is his baptism of fire and the H.G...which is his wrath...but also his love

.....And Isaiah 66 : 16 kjv....For by the sword and fire will the Lord plead with ALL FLESH..which is his Wrath

....And in Rev. 16 : 1 kjv...God is gonna pour out his 7 bowls of Wrath upon the earth...And John saw war in heaven thus there is gonna be much Wrath.. Rev. 12 : 7.....Jesus cd not tell us to gether the tares and burn them if there was not any Wrath in his heart...His words were smother then OIL but war was in his heart.

......And everybody that has given birth to the wheat is gonna get a tare from the devil ...and his anger is kindled against the tares to burn them thus there is wrath against Satan and our old adamic nature that answers to the dog that returns to his vomit and the sow that returns to her mud....2 nd Peter 2: 22

....When ya say there is not any Wrath ( righteous indignation ) you are in essence saying there is not any love...Whom the LORD LOVETH HE CHASTENS....Remember when he threw the money changers out of the temple that was his Wrath...And we all defile his temple at times because of our of our old adamic nature .

    Hi Daniel.

You are right, those debates come frequently.

I've been very busy and just noticed a few comments removed.

I never understood why this particular topic brings such division in people, I'm not talking about the different views but how it tends to divide the brothern.

Don't get me wrong, everyone amongst us is not of us. You would think some of that energy would be saved for a salvation issue.

    God bless you.

Let not your heart be troubled!

Jesus is telling the disciples that they know the way that He is going. A place of preparation, "mansions for himself and them"! For all who believe!

These words are the prelude of the questioning hearts of Thomas and Phillip.

Jesus, is looking into the heart of those who are yet unsure of who CHRIST is. This it seems is the way of the Lord. He knows the question that you have before you ask it.

Is this the way for you and I? Are we asking to see God? Are we asking to show us the Father? Or are you asking how is it possible for me to know the way?

How in this world can these things be that Jesus say's belong to us?

Even after all the experiences these men have seen and heard, there is still the question that continues to plague these two. Not only these but Peter also, who will deny Him.

Thomas wants to know the way. We know Thomas heart, only because of what will happen when Jesus tells Him to put his hand into his side and touch the holes in his hands.

Phillip, still wondering who Jesus is, when He says "show us the Father". Phillip has gone adrift without the memory of Him and Nathanial under the fig tree, when Jesus said He had seen them together under it ?

Christ knows the heart , He knows because He is as you and I. He came in the flesh so you might know that He is!

That Jesus is the way, and that if you have seen Him ,you have indeed seen the Father!

These are the conditions necessary to pave the way that will lead you to the comforter! This comforter will solve your questions as you feel the holes in His hands ,a put your hand into His side, while asking anything in His name and He will do it!

    Repent and be Baptized

Appreciate your sincere question and Adam's response. Seems when the Bible speaks of salvation from our sins it refers to a present state, but eternal salvation is to those that obey him. Hebrews 5:9. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. Jesus said that he that endures to the end shall be saved. My understanding of born again it is interchangeable with conversion and transformation. This happens by the work of the Spirit and Word (water), washing of water by the word. 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. Psalm 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. I am not aware that the blood of Christ has a role in being born again. My understanding it is for the atonement and remission of sins.
  • Adam - In Reply - 3 years ago
Hello, you will likely get different opinions on this, so my recommendation is to just read the Bible with an open heart and open mind and pray for wisdom and understanding before, during and after. There's a link on this site that says Become a Christian which has a lot of verses you can read and then read the entire chapters and books for broader context.

My interpretation of the scriptures is that if we decide to legitimately turn from our old evil ways and follow Jesus while intentionally trying to follow Him and avoid sin, then that process is being born again. John 3:3 It is the process of becoming new in Christ. I believe this is a huge commitment and a serious change in someone's direction in life. I think people who dismiss this as unimportant are at risk of not legitimately being born again. I think most Christians dismiss following Jesus as just a box to check so they can then go back to enjoing a life of sin (and inadvertantly following satan). Most people do this and most will go to hell. That is a fact that Jesus warned us of over and over. And much of the gospel are warnings to both nonbelievers and believers- especially Christians not taking Jesus seriously. Matthew 10:28.

I personally don't believe anyone is "saved" until we are judged, and I don't believe judgment day happens until Jesus returns. And I believe it will all happen on the same day, because it says 'day of judgment' over and over. Not days, or weeks, or years of judgment. This contradicts what a lot of people want to believe that they go instantly to heaven upon death.

So, my belief differs from popular Christian interpretations which says people are already "saved" if they respond to an altar call, or touch the TV and pray while at home, or invite Jesus "into your heart". These words aren't exactly found in the Bible from what I have discovered.

When I read about salvation it appears to be future tense- after judgment. Romans 10:9, 1 Peter 1:5. 1 Corinthians 9:24. God bless.

The short answer of sanctification, (set apart)

Jesus said in John 17 sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth.

Also here are words that define Bible salvation.

    I. JUSTIFICATION- the declaration that a man is righteous when he is not.

II. REDEMPTION - the payment made to buy the sinner back from the wrath of God

III. PROPITIATION - the price paid to satisfy the demands of an angry God against sin. The difference between redemption and propitiation is that in redemption the payment is made, in propitiation the payment is accepted by God and a appeases, or placates, His anger. He is completely satisfied with the payment He received.

IV. REMISSION- the payment for sin is applied to your account, and you are forgiven the debt that you owed.

    V. EXPIATION - the act of purging or cleansing of sin. Sin is taken away, not merely forgiven, based upon the actions of Christ on our behalf.

VI. IMPUTATION- the act of God whereby He charges the sinner's sins to Jesus Christ, and whereby He charges the righteousness of Jesus Christ to the sinner.

VII. REGENERATION - the act of salvation in which the Holy Spirit enters the sinner and gives him a new life by a new birth. A new spirit, able to respond to the Holy Spirit, is created within the sinner.

VIII. RECONCILIATION _ the act whereby two warring parties ( you and God) are brought together in peace.

IX. SPIRITUAL CIRCUMCISION - the act of the Holy Spirit that divides the new nature in the Christian from his body of sinful flesh, so that no sin done in the flesh can affect the new spirit.

    X. ADOPTION - the act whereby God takes a sinner and puts him into the family of God upon salvation.

Xi. SANCTIFICATION - the act whereby God sets a saved sinner apart, so that, from then on, he is dealt with as a son instead of a stranger.

XII. GLORIFICATION - the ultimate end of a saved sinner whereby he is made completely like Jesus Christ and given an inheritance with Him in His kingdom.

    All this at salvation :-)
