I would encourage anyone reading the Bible to do a study on perfection in a believer. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God, but after we have been cleansed from sin (not just covered) we are to go on to perfection. Hebrews 6:1. Luke 6:40 states "The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master". We are called to be like Christ.
  • Knowing When it's Time To Do Spiritusl Warfare - In Reply on Ecclesiastes 7 - 3 years ago
You're really being tested on forgiveness. Jesus said if someone slaps you, offer the other cheek too. If someone takes your coat, give your sweater too. Give to all that are rude and as for it. They are heaping coals on their own heads without knowing it.

That's why you have to forgive. Let it go, in Jesus Name. He will repay you for trusting in what that scripture teaches.

It would be useful for you to read Ephesians 6. Your true enemies are invisible. Google the Armor of God and choose. BibleStudyRef or BibleStudyTools, websites. Read of what each piece of armor does and how it protects you from the spiritual warfare you experience.

If we don't know what Jesus has given us, to fight back against invisible beings, we get deflated and wonder why we're being picked on. Evil spirits don't pick on people who have the SWORD OF THE LORD, in their mouth. That meaning, Bible Scriptures.

I pray them under my breath so only the evil spirits hear me. Command them to leave, go into outer darkness, and never return: in JESUS NAME. Amen means, SO BE IT.

Always pray in the Name of Jesus, by Jesus's Power and Authority.

If you want to know more, listen to my friend Charles Capps (on youtube). "Authority of the Believer." He was a Texan like me, talks with a drawl__and he went to be in heaven. His teaching is one of the best. I took notes and glued them in the back of my raggedy Bible.

When I found out I can put some serious hurt on the devils (under my breath) was a good day for me & a bad day for those invisible evil things. They must leave.

Your true friends will stick by your side. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you His gift of "Discerning the Spirits." That's in 1 Corinthians chapters 12-14.

Release the peace of the Lord over all of your friends and family.

Jesus never showed Paranoid. The scripture says he isthe lamb of God . A perfect man doing the will of his father. The human nature OF A PERFECT Man found in the son. I believe and think, and the Bible teaches this same holiness is in those who live in him .

That the Father sees us through the Son. The life line between God and man. This is the empty space between the hands in Michael Angelo's painting. The creation of Adam.

We hear the word, Then we believe the words of Jesus, Then we Repent of our sins, Then we confess that Jesus is the Christ, Then we are baptized into Christ, Then we live faithful till Jesus returns. Accept Jesus Before your Second Death. Be Prepared. Jesus wants us all to accept him. Bible mentions nothing about a second chance... Read it daily study it.

Hi Donya. As a verb, 'to sanctify' means 'to set apart'. We can see its use in Scriptures such as, Joshua 7:13 or 1 Peter 3:15. As a noun, 'sanctification' can also mean 'made holy by being set apart'; as seen in 1 Corinthians 1:30 or 1 Thessalonians 4:3,4. Even the thought of holding somone in reverence or respect can be seen in the word as well.
  • Meaning of Sanctification - In Reply - 3 years ago
Christ promised and made provision for the believer's sanctification for a purpose. Sanctification is the believer's cleansing or purging from the nature of sin. This experience is not for sinners, but for people who, through grace, are saved and reconciled to God.

You can type the word SANCTIFICATION in the Search Box, on the LINK PAGE, and the search engine will pull up ALL those scriptures for you to read.

1st off; GOD is highly intelligent and is JUDGE. HE created all the stars and knows them by name. HE knows when a single hair falls from HIS creatures. HE is a heart knower and only judge who is a righteous and just JUDGE. No one will perish that doesn't deserve too ( Romans 14:12). There is no 2nd chances but there are many who never got a 1st chance. It is written the millennium will be a time of teaching. The elect will be able to go to sister/brother/near kin and try to save them.

John 5:25 There will not be 1 soul that will perish that want have a chance to choose to side with GOD or Satan, choice completely theirs.

  • Lessons from the Book of Job - In Reply on Job 1 - 3 years ago
This is a Commentary by Matthew Henry about Satan. His name before he fell into rebellion and took 1/3 of the angels with him, was Lucifer. Read Isaiah 14.

In Job he heard God brag on Job, and such was his jealousy, he asked to prove Job false. That Job would curse God. God knew what kind of man Job was, so He allowed Satan to get at Job, but He couldn't take Jobs life.

Satan is a spy. He spies on everyone, assessing faults. He saw Job making sacrifices for his "partying children." Ahah! He thought that was Jobs weakness. He stirred up a tornado and leveled Job's kids homes, they themselves, livestock and everything!

Job staggers out to the road and collapses. Next his wife tells him to curse God and die. We don't hear from her again. Then all these so-called friends come visit Job to allege that maybe he sinned?

Jobs hair falls out, he develops boils, he's probably fasting in grief for his family.

In following chapters God comes and ministers to Job the greatness of His power over all of creation. He pushes the clouds around, owns stores of hail, snow, rain_it's just eye opening all the things that God is in control of. It taught me, that I can, in prayer, ask for favor in weather issues.

At the end of the story, God heals Job, multiplies all Job lost, back to him ten-fold.

There's a lot of wisdom in that book. First being that Satan has to ask God, to tempt us. No matter what happens. Stand firmly on the Rock, which is Jesus. He is your Shield.

A more appropriate response to Your question that reveals and affirms the Sovereignty of the Almighty GOD:

    Romans 9:15

For He says to Moses: "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."

Hi Gek. Joshua 19:2-6 gives us the answer. If you count the cities in the first group given to the tribe of Simeon (v1), it will appear to be fourteen cities in vv 2-6. But verse 6 tells us that in this group there were only thirteen cities. Therefore, Sheba cannot be included within the group but is actually a shortened word for Beersheba. So one could refer to that city as Beersheba or Sheba. Then KJV is correct to state, 'or Sheba'. And the villages mentioned there are separate from this count of thirteen.

The things for us to know have been revealed but also more shall be revealed in the future (PLEASE read: 1 Corinthians 13:9-12); however, what we do know is that it's absolutely necessary to accept Truth prior to leaving this Earth, especially if one deems it necessary to be at peace with The CREATOR here on Earth, and also in the Afterlife. Obviously, the only other option is to spend the Afterlife in fire described as being seven times hotter than Earthly fire, in utter darkness, with a hellified angry Satan, and his demons, and other things that are guaranteed to bring indescribable torture in a place that could only be described as Hell; and that itself, will be cast into the Lake of Fire that burns... brimstone Revelation 20:10 &

    Revelation 21:7-8:

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his GOD, and he shall be My son.

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

At least on Earth, we are given the opportunity to repent, or to get it right, and keep it right as King David did but the Afterlife, has more sense of an irrevocable permanence.

    St. John 3:5-7

JESUS answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of GOD.

6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

    2 Peter 2:21

"For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them."

How come there is no mention of Saran having access to Heaven in the New Testament (other than Revelation perhaps)?

    Hebrews 9:27

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Read the Book of John; especially chapter 3. We come to Jesus because we realize we can't be perfect. Jesus was willing to die for us, so we could live eternally with Him.

He came to earth to live as a human, perfectly without sinning; so He could be the one to pay your sin debt.

Your first step is to admit to yourself, and then to Jesus; that you miss it. Like we all do. I miss it and many others do. But now we actually rejoice because Jesus paid for all of our sins: past, present, and future.

I hope you choose Him today. There's links all over this website to explain the choice you decide on. We are always here for you. Ask any questions you have.

Outside of surrendering to GOD - it would be impossible!

No longer I but Christ Who lives in me...

Original Earthly nature -life hidden in Christ... Colossians 3:3

    New creature in Christ...

The real I - is no longer in control and thank JESUS for that!

    2 Corinthians 5:17

    New International Version

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here!

    2 Timothy 3:12

"Yea, and all that will live GODly in Christ JESUS shall suffer persecution."

    Love:. For it is Written!

    Especially the emphasis thereof!

It's impossible to go wrong when we rely on the Written Word/Truth - when rightfully divided, according to Scriptures:

    2 Timothy 2:15

    King James Version

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto GOD, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of Truth.

    CORRECTION:

Could that really be described as a case of one only seeking confirmation or validation, for the purpose of doing, whatever one already had in mind to do - prior to having asked the question?
  • Phyllis - 3 years ago
    T.Levis,

I concur with Your reply to Ken, and GOD'S Word prevails overall; so, Amen!

Actually, prior to having read the topic of discussion between You and Ken, I had received the same revelation regarding the topic, as Your reply, so very well relayed to Ken, who asked a great question, but obviously to no avail.

Furthermore, in which lies the danger of the facade of seeking Knowledge, but only to arrive at the same conclusion of doing whatever one wants to do regardless to Truth, or Scriptures?

Could that really be described as a case of one only seeking confirmation or validation of what one ever one already had in mind to do, prior to having asked the question?

Nevertheless, GOD'S Word triumphs all opinions, and in reference to the Wisdom of GOD:

    Proverbs 1:5

"A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:"

    Proverbs 1:7

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of Knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction."

    King James Version (KJV)

Hello Margo. One cannot comment with great clarity or certainty on a matter that is contained in a couple of chapters in Job. From what I read, it appears that Satan did have access to Heaven, as he did on these occasions, but was he allowed right into God's Presence or was his access limited? We know that he is still a spirit being so movement on Earth or in the heavens is not limited. But God does set bounds for spirit & human beings, so it may well be that we can assume this here also.

In Revelation 12:10, we read that the 'accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night." So, here is another instance of Satan's access to the 'vicinity' of God, so that he might accuse those in Christ for their sins & failings.

How all this happens, we can only guess, but I feel sure that Heaven still remains free from any wickedness, because Holiness surrounds God's Throne ( Psalm 47:8; Isaiah 63:15; Psalm 93).

Hello Shirley. I believe as residents of this Earth & hearers of this Good News of salvation, we are obliged to make a response to Jesus while there is still breath in our bodies. Once we depart this life, there remains no further opportunity. Hebrews 9:27 states, "it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment". No second chances or opportunities - only God's Judgement awaits all those who have refused Him & His Offer of Love.

And this is also why Jesus, after he arose from the grave, gave commmandment to His disciples in Matthew 28:18-20, to go & share this Good News, teaching them, baptizing them after they believe, & to obey His Commandments. And the disciples, after they were filled with the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, did just that, sharing the Gospel in the regions near & beyond, & bringing those who would be saved into the fold of Christ. If this sense of grave responsibility & urgency wasn't there, it could well mean that there was still hope for people after the grave. But this is not the case. People need to hear this message now - tomorrow might be too late for them. Many refuse to hear, but we pray that God will direct our steps & our voices to those appointed to receive eternal life. At least to our loved ones, friends & associates, this Good News must be shared that they not be consigned to the place of eternal punishment.

Amen GiGi. Well presented. As one side refutes the comments of so-called non-spiritually-minded folk, so the other side have equal warrant to present their view, lest a public forum as this becomes lop-sided, with what I see as perpetuating error. The only way around this is for meaningful expository exchanges, but that is unlikely to happen as I've noticed when expository fundamentals are not adhered to. I've often been told that 'I'm in grave error or I don't write according to the Spirit, or speak as a Pharisee', which of course, I take on board - for that's what I expect. Likewise, errors found within other submissions, need to be exposed & refuted from the Word. If one chooses not to pursue a discussion on it, as I often see, then where is the opportunity to get a proper grasp of Truth?

    Job 1:6

A friend referenced this verse indicating that when the sons of God (i.e., Job) came to present themselves before the Lord ... and Satan also came along.

Might you know where this meeting took place? Was it in Heaven?

My church buddy says that the meeting may have taken place in Heaven and that if Satan came along, then Satan has access to go to Heaven. Is this true?

In addition, she says that if Satan is present in Heaven or when he has access to Heaven, and He is evil and full of sin, then does that mean Heaven is no longer a sinless place where no evil exists?

I need to clarify this line of thinking because that's new to me.

I appreciate your time on this. Thank you, Margo

    The Natural Man.

    Part 2.

In 1 Corinthians 2, Paul uses the word natural to refer to someone still in his original (sinful) state. The Greek word psuchikos ("natural") can be defined as "animal," as opposed to "spiritual." Natural men are those who are occupied with the things of this material world to the exclusion of the things of God. They are led by instinct rather than by the Spirit of God. They intuitively choose sin over righteousness. They are the "pagans" Jesus refers to in Matthew 6:32 who only seek after the things of this world.

The supernatural work of God is to change the natural man into a spiritual one. When a person trusts Christ, God exchanges what is natural (received from Adam) for what is spiritual (received from Christ). "As in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive" ( 1 Corinthians 15:22). The Christian life is, therefore, a supernatural one. We do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit ( Romans 8:1). Interesting find.

Back to 1 Corinthians 1:18. For the preaching of the cross is TO THEM THAT PERISH FOOLISHNESS; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

If you notice, them that perish doesn't have much to say about the preaching of the cross! Why? Because it's foolishness to them.

To us which are saved our Hope, Redemption, and Salvation is tied to it,

Here's how the natural Man/Tares voids out the productivity of the cross in their false teachings.

God Love is on display when I slew his only begotten Son in our place, So there must be a damnable consequence to those who don't accept "This sacrifice"

He'll would have to be a real place for those who don't receive Christ. or the Love of God on display would be in vain!!

They say there is no Hell and all will go to Heaven by fire!

They replace the productivity of the cross with the fire prescribed for Satan as the means by which we are saved!

    1 Corinthians 2:14.

    God bless.
