    Hey Marke,

That's fine, the angels being the sons of God and mating with women is a subject that has no bearing on our salvation. May the Holy Spirit lead us and guide us in the discussions that we do in humility and love toward each other so that we all may grow.

Your other point on sin being passed down from the man is a different discussion that if you post it others may have some helpful replies. I know Adam was not deceived 1 Timothy 2:14 and in Adam, all die 1 Corinthians 15:22.

Eve also ate of the tree, she was not born of man, was she not under the same curse? Was it a curse on mankind as a whole without having it passed down to them from dad or mom? Is the sin nature a sin? Jesus had to have the ability to sin to fulfill the covenant, Hebrews 4:15. Just a couple of questions may others give you answers.

    God bless,

    Hi Donna,

Being baptized in Jesus name includes God, and the Holy Sprit, as they (all three) are ONE!

Being baptized in Jesus name, or being baptized in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - is equally the same.

    Hope this helps you.

    God Bless.

Verses 6 and 7 show how Jehovah God humbles himself to deal with us lowly humans. If the Sovereign of the universe humbles himself then we definitely want to humble ourselves and keep the right view of ourselves.

    Dear Donna.

It seems there is a contradiction between Matthew's and Acts' scripture. Not actually. Isn't Luke that writes in the Acts to be baptized in the name of Jesus only? Yes he is. But this is short for being baptized in the name of Father and the Son and the Holly Spitri. How do we know that? OK lets go to. Acts 19: 1-7, when Paul meets some disciples of John the Baptist in Ephesus.

He asks them if they had been baptized in the Spirit. They tell him they haven't even heard of a Holly Spirit. Now be careful what Paul asks them. He asks in what name have they been baptised in water. If the answer is in the name of Jesus only, Paul's question has no point at all. But if the answer is in the name of F and S and HS then his question has a point. He asks them how come you haven't heard of the HS, when you got baptised in water didn't you hear it? It is Luke that writes that, in spite of him having written before to be baptized only in the name of Jesus. So that is short for the proper saying "in the name of Father and the Son and the Holly Spirit."

This nation and its people chose years ago to take God out of public schools, jobs and many churches to a point where some of the "worse" sins are now being committed in churches and schools, including the sin of homosexuality.

I fear that our nation will not turn from her wicked ways but will continue down the path of unrighteousness. 2 Timothy 3:13 says "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." We are certainly seeing this verse come to pass! However, we believers have a duty to be a light in the world:

2 Timothy 3:14 says "But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;"

We have a responsibility to be lights in this wicked world and save who we can through preaching, teaching, admonishing and even pleading for men and women to turn from their wicked ways!

Jesus told His disciples to "watch and pray" so we should do exactly that, watch and pray! When we read or are made aware of wickedness (watch) we should pray (for that sinners deliverance and protection that we do not become involved in that sin too. Watch and pray brothers and sisters!

Dear "Jimmy Wayne Marcum", start and give of what you have.

Read the Bible and share what you get. Believers too, they need more encouragement now than ever before.

Everyone needs Jesus no matter who, in one way or another. And best of all, it's completely free to have people confess Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

And then it's good to take with us that we are different so sometimes it's best to listen to the Lord. What would He have done, we usually find the answers in God's Word.

Preserve your heart above all things and your faith in the Lord. Romans 14

May the Lord bless you and preserve you for all the days of your life. Love u in Christ. Jesus loved us first.

    The possibilities are endless.

Found in before and after , even beside myself , I find Him gazing into the grace that Abraham found!

The turmoil one faces in the time of temptation, I must stop and wonder is the whole world watching?

This seed shall survive only by grace,

It is grace ,the grace to look upon yourself through the eyes of Christ, this same Son who my Father Abraham loved!

How can this be you say! You are not of the seed!

The faith I speak of goes before you and me, a faith found of Abraham , the Father of all who believe in the promise!

The promise that Jesus Christ is Lord .

    Here ,now, before, and everlasting!

    Dear Carline

The reason that both Jews and many Christian churches rejected those books was that they promote faulse teachings like the one you mentioned. Oftren teachings from those books that are known as Apocrypha or Deuterocanonical contradict the rest of the OT scriptures. Though they are used as historical books to fill the historical gap between the last book in OT and Jesus Christ's time.

I don't believe angels can have sex with humans and produce offspring, but if they did their offspring would not have been human sinners who inherited their sin from Adam.

Thx for your advise free and I know trying to understand the very being of God with my human mine is impossible but I am curious on the thought that if God knew that a day would come, where he'll regret creating mankind and countless numbers of them would suffer in the fiery pits of hell for eternity, knowing all this before even the heavens made why did God still choose to create Mankind?

Thank u dear "Jesse", that was well said. Therefore, never take illness as a punishment Serita Winton on Romans 15. But let it seem to God's best cause. Everyone will see how happy you are, how bubbly Jesus has made you and so on. And even though we are weak, the strength of the Holy Ghost may be our testimony. Many testimonies are Christianity through sickness. Let it Never knocks us down, it's just one thing we have to get used to and live with. Instead of being paralyzed. We go on and become zealous for the Lord.

    Dear Donna,

You bring up an interesting question that I've never thought about before, but it doesn't trouble me like it may trouble you.

Like it says in 1 Peter 5:7 I would pray to God and fully give any burden or concerns about this to Him. Ask for peace in return.

I personally don't think the words said or not said by someone helping you be baptized are magical nor will be any determining factor on the legitimacy of your baptism. The power is not in any specific words spoken by someone else, but in the act of obedience on your part for taking an action step to follow Jesus.

My second observation is that many verses in the Bible cover things in different levels of detail. Acts 2:38 to me is just an general statement about baptism which is correct. And Matthew 28:19 seems to have a little more detail about in the name of and lists the Godhead. So, if a minister says either one, I think it's ok. The latter reference is more detailed complete answer IMO.

Some people get caught up on who they are praying to as well, and I totally understand the confusion, but while I personally believe prayers are generally to God the Father spoken through Jesus with aid of the Holy Spirit, I also think its fine to pray to Lord or Jesus or God in general. I think God will receive the message either way and knows our heart.

Another example is early in Genesis it says male and female were created then later it goes into detail about how each came about, just like a story with a thesis or overview with details in the body. But many assume that hey, male and female were already created so how come there's 2 accounts of it. The answer is its the same, one is an overview, and the other is detail. And this is how I interpret these 2 verses. Judas's death is the similar too- 2 different accounts with focus on different things at different times.

Congratulations on deciding to be baptized! Have excitement and peace over your great decision!

Dear "Donna", here you have someone who also thinks these are important words and the words of the Bible KJV speak to me, and i am also baptized in water. For me, it was a confirmation with witnesses that i would follow Jesus and not a society with certain injunctions. We all know what Jesus says about commandments. Now that we are free from them.

So follow your heart dear sister and do it quickly. For as soon as you confess that you want this. Resistance and persecution will also come. That's why I know this is important. Upon my confession that I wanted to be baptized, I got bilateral pneumonia and saw the disease right outside my bed. i did not want it, i must say.

If they do not have a baptismal font in your church. So with the Pentecostals i know they have there. So ask if they should not have baptisms there soon. Do not think they require you to become a member there. If they do contact another church.

God bless u and yours in Jesus name,

Know that all of you will be saved after this. We have the promice

I understand what you are saying. I believe it also.

I have never been able to ignore the verses below.

The wars going on in the Mideast today are prophetic. It's as if the restraints of the Palestinians are removed. Not everybody understands the last wars. We are living in prophetic time:

The Jews would fight for their right to return to and live in Israel. Get back the land that Palestinians occupied in their absence. They had to love Israel. They began to farm the land and build vineyards. They had to LOVE THE LAND again.

And then all the Jews that had dispersed to other nations or other religions, to escape the German invasion; had to start returning HOME. The occupiers were chased out. The returning Jews needed their ancestral homes back. Even more people are farming and loving the land God set aside just for them. The FIG TREE began to Bloom again.

Then the wars, endless meddling politicians paraded over to convince the Jews to part with portions of land. God gave them the land! The deed of the boundaries are in the Bible. God cut a blood covenant with Abraham. That Covenant is still in FORCE. The Jews are wrong to trade land for Peace, which they are being forced to do.

The Christian Jews know this. But those that rule over Israel will not change their mind. It's a terrible thing to own that you killed the expected Messiah. The Orthodox Jews will not change their minds. The returning Jews must prove their ancestry.

The Jews must accept Jesus as their Messiah and Savior, and fight for their right to believe so.

The final hurdle is for the Jews to Love God and accept Jesus as their Messiah, and fight for their legal right to live; and live in Israel. We're almost there. Jews will be left behind because they refuse Jesus as their Messiah

Look these up: Psalm 17:8, Deuteronomy 38:9-11, Zechariah 2:8.

Jacobs name changed to Israel. We should do as asked: pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Do we do that I wonder?

I want to get baptized in water. There seems to be some kind of dilemma with certain people about getting baptized in the name of Jesus only ( Acts 2:38). Peter said that. But I read in Matthew 28:19 that JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF said to baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit So am I to take away the commandment of Jesus Christ who is God? Peter didn't say Jesus ONLY did he? So do we delete what Jesus says for us to do before He ascended to the Father? How do we justify that? How can we deny His command? I mean it's pretty clear right? And since when did anyone's authority trump the authority of Jesus Christ? Except God the Father..if we say that someone added that verse to the Bible and it's not relevant, isn't that an attack on Gods word? I feel like the Lord God would not allow that to happen. He is God after all. Why would he allow that to happen? And if we start taking scriptures out of the Bible Well you can see where I'm going with that.

You have Preachers Preaching Mid Trib., No Trib., Pre Trib. Praise God,,, I'm ready right now. I'm not worried about storing up Food, Water and other items. The Saints of God will be at The Great Supper. And the Angelic Choir singing Come and dine. I still believe in The Rapture of The Church. Dead in Christ rise first and those that remain, the living Saints, to meet Christ in the Air. That's why we keep fighting all of Hell ,, to see Jesus. There is a Major Problem with Vaccine Theories and such. And it is this ,In Revelations Chapter 4. The Church is Raptured. John sees it again in Chapter 7,, where? In Heaven.

2nd Thessalonians Chap. 2 v 7 says. The Church and the Spirit as he works restraining evil now shall be removed. And then The Antichrist shall be revealed. Jesus said He Shall Never leave you. I know there are those who believe The Holy Ghost will be completely removed during The Tribulation. But read Matthew Chap. 3, Baptism of Jesus, Father spoke, Holy Ghost descended and Christ went straight up out of the water. 2nd Peter said Men of old, patriarchs , moved by The Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost and the Spirit of conviction has always and always will be. As God said ,I Am. There will be People saved during The Tribulation, John said no man could number them. My Father in law always Preached, it will take a Great Tribulation to turn Man to God. I understand the Biggest Majority will follow The Bible literally, gnaw their tongues, curse and blaspheme God. But a Large number will be willing to die, even though beheading and other torture. And Satan has so many fooled" Oh well,, if I miss it I just won't take The Mark. You will be hunted, can't eat, buy anything, or sell. Sick and need medicine, even for your children. You have to take The Mark. You will literally become a Martyr to enter Heaven. Having said all that, if all this Propaganda is The Mark. Then guess what we all missed it, The Rapture. The Mark enters after The Church is Raptured. Mikey Out.

It surely is high time to seek the Lord. Nothing we do naturally will 'work' if these are God's judgments coming upon us because of sin. If America would TRULY repent, and turn to God, then HE makes our enemies to be at peace with us. It is sin that has removed God's hand of blessing and protection, and nothing else matters but for America to turn to Jesus!

You said something at the beginning of your post, namely,

"I was taught that Israel was the center of "Bible Interpretation", the World.

Israel is NOT the center of true Bible interpretation. JESUS CHRIST is ALWAYS the center of true Bible interpretation. The Bible is the Lamb's Book; it is all about Him, start to finish. He is the Alpha and the Omega. One old-time preacher I so value is Charles Spurgeon. He saw Christ in every book of the Bible, and speaks so eloquently of Him in his sermons. I have a book by Charles Spurgeon, "Christ in the Old Testament' and have wept my way through those pages, just uplifted in my soul and spirit by the glorious revelation of Christ as shown through those types and shadows of the old dispensation.

......The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ. ( Revelation 19:10b)

It is ALWAYS about Jesus. Looking unto Jesus we will never go off course!

    Blessings!

A quick explanation is that meditating on the Lord involves worshipping the living God who is outside of our own human soul; wisdom and understanding. Meditation according to Eastern religions invokes the soul within; or some deluded mindset that somehow we have a "spark of divinity" within us; or some goodness of our own that needs to be focused on; some mysterious power or control that we can have over energies somehow controlling our lives and the universe to our benefit.
  • Richard H Priday - In Reply - 3 years ago
I have several observations. There is a clear pattern in scripture where the Spirit guides the worker where to go; and in some cases individuals to speak to ahead of time through a dream or vision. You see a common theme such as with the prisoner guard and Paul where the question is asked what must I do to be saved? The same theme; in fact occurs with Jonah; who not only reluctantly preached and saw the population of a large city repent; but also caused the pagans on the boat with him to fear God after he was thrown into the sea. Obviously; the miracles were signs given to the Apostles. One cannot look at this apart from the true "grace" gospel; which causes persecution for all who are "godly in Christ Jesus." The legacy of someone who struggles for years until results occur has often resulted after their martyrdom; such as was the case with Jim Elliott. When we see the character of someone like Paul; or someone like Whitfield who used to pray for hours and shed tears for the lost we find examples of those who are worthy of being emulated. There are too many who are too comfortable to give up their homes; and riches to go to some unknown land to preach the gospel. Compromise and false doctrines; as well as seducing spirits make up much of the TV evangelistic world today; along with many megachurches; particularly in the USA and Africa.

It isn't a "one size fits all" methodology which should characterize techniques used in street witnessing. It is the same gospel truth; but sensitivity to those who need a listening ear and a hug; and those who need to be gently rebuked. It shouldn't be shouting scriptures in our own anger; or expecting everyone will open up to God's love. First and foremost; we are being faithful witnesses praising God and sowing seeds; letting Him do what He will with them in His timing. We also genuinely listen to people and trust the Spirit to give us the words; as well as admitting when we don't have a particular answer.

    Just a random thought:

According to the cell theory, someone(God) had to create cells for them to exist(or else the universe is infinite I guess?). They couldn't have come from simply matter. I think it's almost ironic that God created at least some living matter from dust, which is just matter. To me this is a great demonstration of God's omnipotence.
