Ladies and Gentlemen, we live in a time when God is visible through his creations in my interpretation and opinion of John 21 KJV I would suggest that God is faithful to those who seek him. We live in a time where there are all kinds of temptations many of which some suggest are new under the sun. I think man's creations allowed by God are new under the sun, however God is still in control and mankind is seeking to be in charge of his destiny however miracles still happen, and God is speaking through Jesus our savior to surrender our temptations and discipline ourselves to the world through helping others, spreading the Gospel, praising God and using the resources of the Earth his creation for the good of mankind. Greed has become more a part of the human spirit than sacrifice and surrender. It plainly states in the Bible that is better to give than to receive however we look for wealth that is everlasting and this kind of wealth can only be given by God through eternal life, I would prefer to live with God forever than to have riches which last for a short time which is the basis of Jesus teachings how can I gain eternal life. Ladies and Gentlemen, we still live in a time when new drugs and treatments that preserve and destroy life have become known to man, the Bible speaks of becoming weaker and wiser, but perfection is not known to man only God has perfection due to being the creator of all things. Mankind must realize without his spirit he is dead. Amen

    Dear Dav

Do you think that if a church at that time asked Paul to be an elder or deacon he would accept it, despite asking Timothy not to do so? He would contradict his own words? I don't think so. And Jesus doing differently by what His Spirit inspired Paul to right? Again I don't think so.

As I wrote in my post there are ministries that one doesn't have to be married to serve God. But a pastor who is the head of elders, the elders and the deacons are required to be married by the written Word of God. Anyway that is my opinion... GBU

    Dear Sheila

Read Luke 3:14, it is about people going to John the Baptist and ask him what to do:

"14 - And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages."

John didn't ask the soldiers to quit the army. but treat people the right way (they were Roman soldiers occupying a foreign country).

But nevertheless I don't think God likes people killing each other. He didn't make us for that purpose.

God wants to lift us up with the beauty that allows us to live us in the Christ's very beauty. Oh that we would rejoice in Him, seeing the mighty love of His ministry which He has placed in us, His Bride. These words are from the treasure He has put in my heart to share. ...Amen and Amen, In Jesus' Name.

    Galatians 5:22-23 may help

23 - Meekness, TEMPERANCE: against such there is no law"

I was just thinking that Christ will not reproduce after mans Kind...But after Gods kind thats y he is saying that which is born of the spirit is spirit thats the H.G Gods kind...Jesus is not gona sire flesh and blood Children...His offspring are Gods the babes and sucklings he mentions sometimes are Gods as that which is born of the spirit is spirit...Thats y he is saying whosoever receiveth one such child in my name receiveth me...But that Child is spirit the H.G. The Children of Promise...An Israel of God.

.....It was the Father that said that everything has to multiply after its Kind... Gen 1 : 24 kjv...And we see that Christ is able to multiply after Gods Kind...As he said that which is born of the spirit is spirit which is the H.G Gods kind....And that's how we know without a doubt that Jesus is truly God the son....Simply b/c Jesus multiplies after the God kind...Spirits the H.G.

....Jesus had no earthly Father only a HEAVENLY Father thus his desire is to multiply after Gods kind...He wants to know humanity...He wants to sow his precious seed in humanity...As he said the field is the world where that good seed will be sown...Thus there is truly gonna be an ISRAEL OF GOD which is the H.G. Spirits The Children of Promise born in humanity...Our new heart and new spirit is the H.G. THE GIFT OF God...The Children of Promise....They don't call him the bridegroom for nothin...Thus there is a Child in our future...Whosoever receiveth one such child in my name receiveth me...The Child is the H.G That Child of Promise...I am just tying to turn the hearts of the FATHERS TO THE Children...An Israel of God...The H.G. the gift of God....She brought forth a manchild that is gonna rule all nations... REV. 12 : 5 KJV..The Kingdom does not come till the woman gives birth in Rev 12 : 10 kjv..ok Gbu

Back to the context and emphasis on Lucifer wanting to be "like" God.

There's some that say we are going to be Gods. I believe this comes from pride, The same kind that caused Lucifer to fail.

We will be worshipping in Heaven not being worshipped.

    We will bow our knees,

No one will bow their knees towards us.

    God bless.

    Hi Suze.

I believe I answered that question in my original post, And Brother Chris gave much detail.

So my answer again is No it's not the King of Babylon.

    Isaiah 14:12.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer,

"WHEN WAS THE KING OF BABYLON IN HEAVEN?

son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

    Here's Lucifer in the Hebrew.

This doesn't describe the King of Babylon.

    Hebrew:

    Transliteration: hyll

    Pronunciation: hay-lale'

Definition: From H1984 (IN THE SENSE OF BRIGHTNESS); THE MORNING STAR: - lucifer.

    KJV Usage: Lucifer(1x).

Sorry if that widely held view bothers you.

We will have to peacefully agree to disagree. I'm moving on.

    God bless.

The Kingdom of God "In our midst"

    Part 1 of ?

We know there are many prophesies in the old testament of Jesus reigning and sitting on David's Throne.

Today I want to discuss a great misrepresentation of this truth starting with two of many scriptures in the old testament then we'll go into the New Testament.

    1) "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. Is 9:6-7.'

    2) Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

    Malachi 4:5.

Here's the same promise given to Mary in Luke 1:32-33.

In those days When a king would go out to another country to seize it, or peacefully he would send ahead his messenger/fore runner. They didn't come by surprise. ( They came with observation ) "Keep that in mind "

John the baptist was Jesus fore runner.

    Mark 1:2-3.

    Matthew 11:13-14.

Israel was expecting a forerunner and king that was to come and rid them of the Romans and sit on David's Throne.

John the baptist was sent ahead to announce The King, Jesus was bringing in a heavenly kingdom not one you can observe, It wasn't going to be a March to battle. That's why Jesus said it come without observation in. They rejected their King due to blindness under the mosaic system.

    Please see part 2.

I'm glad there are many, because the one you posted says nothing about gender. Marriage is not gender.

Can you please share the others that back up this claim?
  • Jesse - In Reply on Deuteronomy 20 - 3 years ago
    Sheila,

I spent 22 years in the military and during that time, God never once put it on my heart that what I was doing was wrong. There are many instances in the Old Testament where God sent people into battle.
  • Jesse - In Reply on John 19 - 3 years ago
    Kristina,

We see this in Ephesians 4:9-10. In verse 9, it says, "Now that he ascended, (speaking of Christ), what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?"

It goes on to say in Verse 10, "He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fill, (or more literally fulfill) all things.

Jesus said that when He was to die that He was to go into the heart of the earth, just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale, or the fish. ( Matthew 12:40)

The same Jesus was ascended up into heaven, and He loosened the captives. But it says He gave gifts unto men. Notice what it says at the end of Ephesians 4:8 because this is very important.

The word "gifts" indicates that God took from out of the captives. He took people and gave them back to the captives as gifts. These gifts are people.

So He led captivity captive. He took people from out of the captives. He said you, you, you, and you, come here. And He gave them back to the captives as leaders and ministers.

I heard that I should read this. I'm not sure how it will help me but I really feel like I've been taken away from society somehow. I know Alot of people but its like I'm not fitting in anymore or like Alot of people are looking younger or something and it seems like everyone is hinting that they need something and I'm not sure how I can help them...

Marke, you are right, angels are not FLESH AND BLOOD; but they are MEN.

Genesis 19:1 ...and there came two ANGELS to Sodom ......

Genesis 19:5 .... where are the MEN ....

Genesis 19:10 ....the MEN put forth their hand ....

Genesis 19:11 ...and they (the angels, the men) smote the men that were at the door with blindness ....

Genesis 19:13 ...For we (the angels, the men) will destroy this place .......

Genesis 19:15 .... then the ANGELS hastened Lot ........

Genesis 19:24 Then (the angel, the men) the LORD rained brimstone and fire ......

    God Bless You!

    LUCIFER

Has anyone looked up the Hebrew word translated as LUCIFER in Isaiah 14.

That Hebrew word appears about 30 times in other scriptures as HOWL.

Why did the translators translate it Howl about 29 times and ONLY ONE TIME as LUCIFER.

Lucifer appears only once in the scriptures.

    God Bless You!

If we can't trust what's written so plainly....your words in a different post to Dianne . Isaiah Ch 14 V 4 . I do realise that many prophecies have a double fulfillment but V 4 is very plainly indicating that this chapter is about the fall of Babylon and it's king .
  • Suze - In Reply - 3 years ago
For S Spenser please , isn't the lucifer of Isaiah of Ch 14 actually the king of Babylon ?
  • Peggy on Psalms 14 - 3 years ago
Psalms 14:1 The KJV puts "There is" in italics which means the translators added those words. That renders a completely different meaning when you write is as in the original Hebrew. When "there is" is left out, the fool states "no God". In other words, the fool refuses to accept what God is telling him to do and says "no God". I do not believe what you are saying and refuse to do what you are instructing me in your Word. That makes a really BIG fool and leaves the one refusing lost and undone. Just like the Hebrew children at Kadesh Barnea when they refused God's instruction to enter into the promished land. They did not believe God--why did they NOT enter in?-----Unbelief. How sad............................

God's Word is true and every man a liar.

1 JOHN 3:8 He that committeth sin is of THE DEVIL (god of this world)(a god of this AGE) ......

As long as we are in this body of FLESH we are a god of this world (of this AGE).

Having our minds RENEWED by the word of God,we come to TRUTH, at the DEATH of this BODY OF FLESH:

We will be DELIVERED, like a woman giving birth to a child, into a god of THAT WORLD (the next AGE).

    CHILDREN OF SPIRIT.

    GOD IS SPIRIT.

    Matthew 10:39

    Mark 8:35

    God Bless YOU

We must have confidence and faith in the promises that have been made to us . I think that some people just don't get that we are going to be sparkling clean , God calls us His jewels , it's not anything that we have done for this honour , it is the gift of God for our faith in Him and in His Son and for believing in the promises that He has made . We will be changed , we shall be like Christ , real Sons and Daughters of God .I think maybe that this is just all toooo awesome for some people to get their heads around . A famous author once said "we are all of us in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars " . Much love in Christ .

    A NEW CREATION

The first creation was a god of THIS WORLD, Man (a devil), the most subtil beast of the field, made of EARTH, flesh and blood, and a carnal mind.

The second creation is a god of the NEXT WORLD, Born of Spirit, with the MIND of God.

You are a NEW CREATION in Christ.

    God Bless You!

Dear Chris , from reading your posts I gather that we believe different things and that's ok with me . Please note Romans Ch 7 V 7-25 , especially V 14-24 , no mention of satan , twice Paul says "sin that dwelleth in me " , V 24 : 0 wretched man that I am ! Who shall deliver me from...the body of this death ?

V 25...with the mind I myself serve the law of God ; but with my flesh the law of sin .

Romans Ch 8 V 1-17 especially : V 1...walk not after the flesh...(not lucifer or satan ) , but after the Spirit . V 3... "God sending His own Son in the likeness of...sinful flesh , and for sin , condemned sin in the flesh "

We are the flesh , we are sinful .

V 5-9 For they that are after the flesh ( non Christians ) do mind the things of the flesh ; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit . For to be carnally minded is death ; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace .

Here is my point : "Because the carnal mind is enmity against God ( not satan / lucifer , us , with our carnal minds ) ...so they that are in the flesh cannot please God . V 9 But ye are not in the flesh , but in the Spirit , if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you .

God is Spirit . The carnal mind is enmity against God...they that are in the flesh cannot please God .

Satan is noticeable by his absence .

    Much love in Christ .
