Again, God is God. Your prayers may not be the answered in the way you wanted, but in Gods will, they were. God is not a wishing well and we can not see how his works are used for the future. Have faith.

That's an interesting and realistic thing you came up with , I have known for years that churches at least the many I visited have errors .

So I don't go to one . I read and pray on my own for years . Sometimes it's hard but Jesus is my back up . Amen .

It says that God seeks those that worship him in Spirit and TRUTH.

We must separate from sin or errors or we become partakers of it .

I learned this many years ago . It has done me very well in separation from these things .

Israel is restored just prior to the second coming of Christ . Most people in the land today will not make it to the end , only a remnant will .

i joined a church that was very pretrib and all the doctrine that goes with it , they followed JN Darby very closely.

I was a new seeker at the time in less than 2 years I was totally convinced from reading the Bible that there is no pretrib rapture .

    200 % sure today .

But that church kicked me out . I thought God gave me a revelation through the Bible and I was trying to help them out of their error . Not a chance . But at least I'm set free by the truth . Amen
  • Replying - In Reply - 3 years ago
I agree James , it's very hard to to convince anyone that has their mind made up . Many of them are not open to hearing the truth .

It's said they will not endure sound doctrine but heap teachers having itching ears , in 2 Timothy.

The easy way is what they want .

    It's just human nature .

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom . To depart from sin and error .

But deception is an easy way out but a dead end .

Staying in the word prayerfully is so important or temptation can trip us up .

    Colossians 1

    23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

It is likely that Christian churches down through the centuries have always had more false believers than true. The Bible is written to the Church to the saved and lost together, and God never encourages believers to take comfort in their salvation and ignore their responsibility to go on with God. Those believers who do not pay attention to God's word and never get saved will end up falling away into hell.

True believers have a responsibility to walk with God in fear and trembling, seeking always to please Him and obey His word. A true believer who walks in disobedience cannot be lost again, but he can become less profitable and may be taken out of the world early because of that.

    2 Peter 1:10

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

True believers will heed the warning to give diligence to walk with God, but the unsaved will not pay attention and will fall into hell in the end for not giving proper heed to the word of God. The unsaved who fall never got saved in the first place.

I typed up a response earlier but lost it by hitting the wrong key. At any rate, the Bible teaches that there are two main types of professing believers. 1. The saved, and 2. The lost. Lost professing Christians can fall away from Christ and return like a dog to his vomit, but saved Christians cannot.

Kay, you, too, are so sweet and loving. Thanks for your outreach to me and prayers. My Mom is tough and comes from a family with longevity (late 80's into the 90's. She birthed 10 children. Had appendix removed in her twenties, had a ruptured ulcer in her seventies along with a torn ACL/meniscus from a fall. So, overall, she has not had many negative incidents requiring hospitalization for someone her age. But Sepsis takes many people out of this life. I am being realistic as well as hopeful. I urged my brothe (who lives in Hawaii) to get a flight home as soon as he cane because things can turn so fast. I am praying he will be able to be here very soon. All of my other 8 siblings live in the area and so we can all be available for Mom at this traumatic time.

It is possible for Christians to live in disobedience and be taken out of the world for disobedience, as alluded to in 1 Corinthians 11:30

For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

However, the Bible is full of warnings for professing believers not to trust in their profession if their profession is not genuine. That is where so many Christians confuse fake Christianity with real Christianity. Christians who are truly born again will never lose their salvation and they are told in 2 Peter 1:10

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

Christians are not to be puffed up and idle about their profession. Christians need to make their calling and election sure by growing in the Lord to gain the assurance from Him that they are right with God and not just deceived.

False Christians should also give diligence to apply themselves to seeking the Lord and studying the Bible to discover that they are not saved and need to seek salvation that is real.

Nobody "does things" to get saved. Doing things will help the sinner find or gain assurance of salvation, but will not give the sinner credit with God by which to earn or buy salvation.

If addiction to pain medications is troubling you then you may be experiencing the conflict all believers have between the flesh and God's Spirit united with their born-again spirit. A born-again believer cannot change back into a lost sinner once he has been born again, but the flesh of believers can become a problem God uses to help the believers draw nigh to God and seek His deliverance from evil. If you are troubled in any way for any reason, go to the Lord and beg Him for help and deliverance from evil and never stop going to the Lord and never stop praying for His help to become the type of Christian He desires you to become.

She may have been dark-skinned but the Bible does not say and it does not seem to matter. However, the Shunammite was black and was dearly loved by the Lord for her character, not her skin color.

    Song of Solomon 1:4-6

    King James Version

4 Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.

5 I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.

6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.

    Hi Giannis.

It's 11pm here in the south east.

I just got your reply via email. I haven't had the chance to go over the material, I will read and return a reply perhaps tomorrow evening.

    Good night and God bless.

    Amen Gigi.

The key thing is Jacob blessed them as his sons. There is no virtue or lesson to be learned concerning their skin color.

And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine. Gen 48:5.

    Hello My Dear Sister!

I am so sorry to hear about your Mom! Sepsis IS very serious for anyone, and as you said, more so for Mom because of her age! How marvelous that you had the opportunity to lay hands on your Mom and pray for her! I will surely and gladly join you in prayer for her! May the Sun of Righteousness, Who has healing in His wings rise upon her! Amen!

That's wonderful to hear you're wearing regular (albeit a bit larger-sized) shoes again! What rapid progress you've made I'm not surprised that your grip isn't fully returned yet. That will take a bit more time. In some recoveries, 'slow and steady' progress is best! :)

I also want to thank you, Gigi, for always being so sweet and encouraging. The graciousness of God's Spirit shines through you, sis. I thank God for you!

Have a blessed night! You and your dear ones are in my prayers!

    Ephesians 4:27

27 Neither give place to the devil.

29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

You need to be on alert at a party if there is alcohol and lack of self control from others. Be considerate of the wives and girlfriends. You can see how Satan can "work this" against you.

    1 Peter 5:8

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Yes, Abraham was a Gentile, a Shemite (Semite), a descendant of Eber (Hebrew). Not all Hebrews are descended from Abraham, nor Israelites, as Eber had other children who did not descend down to Abraham. Ishmael and Esau are Hebrews and Semites, also. But Isaac was the son of promise, and Jacob was chosen as the son of promise. So, the promises of Abraham was passed down to Isaac and then to Jacob, and then to the twelve tribes that came from his twelve sons.

Anita, Of course, but I would recommend that a male be friend to a husband, not the wife AND a female be a friend to the wife, not the husband. Husbands and wife need to guard their marriage from inappropriate friendships with members of the opposite sex.
  • Ephesians 6 Reality - In Reply on Isaiah 42 - 3 years ago
If you feel fear, confusion, temptation, it could be an evil spirit. The one time I heard a voice (they're invisible) it quoted scripture. I refused what it said.

Check your home for any forgotten items that evil spirits might hope you'll be entangled with again; and destroy those things. Acts 19:19.

Memorize Ephesians 6. "They are invisible."

Be quick to plead the blood of Jesus. They don't bother blood bought children of God.

I had alot of push back from them. I found, that even if you can't speak it out, ALL OF HEAVEN can hear your screaming born again spirit. Angels will be dispatched.

I'm saying this because I don't know if this is a one-time creepy event or more.

You are beloved in the Son, Jesus. Be encouraged.

Hello Jerry, I was researching your questions last night. Esau and his descendants settled among the Horite people at in the mountains of Seir, southeast of the Dead Seir. They eventually intermingled with the Horite people and Ishmaelites, and perhaps the Midianites. They lived along the trade routes both East to West and North to South. They came in contact with many peoples from many lands. So, they most likely intermixed among many different ethnicities. Some sites say Esau's descendants are among the Jordanians, Syrians, and Kurds. But others say the descendants are among the Turks, Iranians, and Iraqis. I don't think that Esau's descendants, like Ishmael's remained intact as an ethnic group.

Exactly S. Spencer, what difference does it make to us what color her skin was. Being Egyptian was mentioned for us to know she was not an Israelites. God thought that was all that was necessary for us to know.

Dear Larry, If you are having enough pain every day that is relieved well with these medication, then maybe that is what you should do. I recommend talking to your doctor about your feeling of being addicted. Maybe he can give you another type of pain medication and slowly wean you off of the med that you are addicted to.

If your pain can be relieved by aceteminephin/ibuprofen, or other non-narcotic med. Than you may not need the narcotic. So talk with your doctor about helping you overcome this addiction.

Hello, Kay. I am doing so much better. I can actually get a regular shoe on now (though it is a few sizes larger than normal-gives more room in the toe area. My hand is getting stronger, but gripping is still iffy.

My Mom went into the hospital Friday night. She is still there and will be there for some time. She is 88 and was found conscious but unresponsive at her home Friday night. Diagnosis is sepsis, which is very serious and often deadly for people her age. She is responding to antibiotics, fever has come down to normal from 105 and steadily improving. But this infection affects all organs and systems of the body since the blood to these is infected throughout her body. It is a terrible trauma to the body. I was able to be one of the two visitors yesterday and spent the day at the hospital with her and my oldest sister. ( there are 10 kids in all). I asked her if I could pray for her. She id not say anything, but didn't say no, so I laid my hand on her chest and prayed out loud for her. I was really hoping I'd get a chance to do that.

Please pray for her. Her name is Joan.

Thank you Daniel, we all need to be wise as serpents and innocent as doves, checking all that we read, hear, or think against the Scriptures.

Some believers thrive in a church congregations, others do not. it is good to find out which one one is. Any believer who participates in a church congregation should not assume that this church or denomination has everything right. All churches, sects, denominations have erroneous teachings or emphasis. Every believer has erroneous beliefs and emphasis, too.

Therefore, everyone should be humble, and submit to the Scriptures in all things.

    Adam,

Great way to put it!!! I think you should publish that in perspective, very needed in the World today, within the Church Body & outside 'without' too.

    Hi James.

You said you believe that if a person reads any portion of the Bible with a pre-conceived idea ( such as a pre-tribulation rapture) that person cannot rightly understand how the prophesies of the Bible work together. .

Isn't you giving them a pre-conceived idea by which they should interpret prophecy?

Just a friendly question, I hope you're not offended.

    God bless.
  • GiGi - In Reply - 3 years ago
James, I think you interpreted this correctly.
  • GiGi - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Giannis,

I understand your thinking here, but the promise was to all of Israel to be gathered from all nations, not just the Jews. More Jews and almost all Israelites live outside of Israel now. So, I believe that there is still a huge regathering of the whole 12 tribes of Israel back to the land promised, as the promise was to all of Israel, not just to Judah's descendants (The Jews).
