You can see charts of Adam and Eves, and other Geneology charts on Google. It makes studying more interesting. You can save a chart to your Google desktop.

It was custom not to record female names unless they had a story in the Bible.

    Amen Gigi.

    On Gods unconditional promises

God can't be taken by surprise, so when he swear by himself and confirms it by a oath he's not putting himself in jeopardy. He's going to perform it. He depends on himself not us.

His conditional promises is well recognized in scripture. You see some concerning Israel in Deuteronomy 28.. And this didn't take God by surprise the Messiah was ordained to come before the foundation of the world.

    God bless.

    Amen Brother Jesse!

God called out a Gentile and made a unconditional covenant with him and confirmed it with a Son. The Child of promise. And we're children of the same promise.

It has nothing to do with Israel or any other people inability to keep the law. So why would God void his Promises to Israel and give those promises to another gathered people who cannot keep the law.

    See Galatians 3:17-18.

And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

    Here is what's being challenged.

Hebrews 6:13-19. Touching this unconditional covenant I believe you see it performed in a unconditional manner in Genesis 15. when God put Abraham to sleep and performed it by himself.

We are joint heirs in that promise.

    " Galatians 4:28."

Some lay it on Israel to initiate Gods promise or it will be taken away is in the same group that says you can loose your salvation.

So the Church has not taken over the promises to Israel,

The Church also is not spiritual Israel. And the Church is not the Israel of God.

God fulfilled his promises of the first coming of Christ and he will fulfill the many promises of Christ second coming and set up His literal Millennium kingdom here on Earth.

    Thank you and God bless.

    Hi Roxanne,

God speaks to us through His Word, quickened to us by His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. It is safe for us to let the Word of God be the 'ruler', the 'measuring line', by which we walk, because it will keep us right and in line with the Lord! There are times we may get thoughts in our hearts, kind of like a 'still, small voice'; God can 'lay something on our hearts' BUT, anything we think we hear we must line up with God's Word. Our natural hearts, God says, are deceitful above all things and desperately wicked! We must not lean on our own understanding, but judge every thought by God's Word.

To fear God mean to 'reverence' God deeply. This godly fear grows as we read God's Word. His Word shows us how glorious He is, how mighty He is, how powerful He is, how truthful He is, how faithful He is, how kind He is, how merciful He is, how gracious He is, how righteous He is, how compassionate He is, how just He is, etc. etc.!!! To know God is to love Him and fear Him, i.e., to stand in awe of His splendid majesty, and submit to His sceptre, and give Him all the glory! Amen!

    Grace and blessings to you!k

There is so much proof that you need two parent's to be a Jew ,

if you have a Jew father and a strange woman that child is a mongrel, Vice versa!

This is all based of Scriptures . Esau can only reproduce with His woman of his lineage for the child to be considered a full blown Edomite .

Mongrel is a mixed race of people.

The mongrels of Whom GOD has MERCY N GRACE for can come back in the Third generation both sets of grandparents from each side paternal and maternal matters.

That's a precepts of man doctrine that there is no such thing as mixed the Bible say other. The mongrels is a mixed race.

Rape n mixed marriages took place in Babylon captivity.

    Hi Suze,

The condition of the church, the condition of souls, has been a burden on my heart for years. If the Lord sees fit to let me see this coming fall, I will have been saved 39 years. What things were like all those years ago, and what they are like now are so different in so many ways.

What I shared earlier comes from observing a general decline take place over the decades. Of course, I can't paint with too wide of a brush; there will always be a true remnant reserved unto the Lord. I praise Him for that! Yet, I have to say, it has been shocking to see what has happened in 'Christendom' generally speaking.

We must get back to Jesus. It is ALL about Jesus. Paul said it the best in Phil. 3, Suze -

8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

    10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Jesus is all in all. Nothing else is even a close second...or at least, that is the way He deserves it to be in our lives. May He help us and grace us to walk worthy of Hm more and more!

    God bless you, Suze!

    Hi Brother Ron.

Jeconiah who was later called coniah was Zedekiahs nephew.

Zedekiah was the last to sit on David's throne.

Interesting story on coniah in Jeremiah 22.

Hoshea was the last to reign in Israel.

    See 2 Kings 17:1-18.

Prophetic promise: Jeremiah 23:3-7, Jeremiah 30:3-4, Jeremiah 31, Jeremiah 33:7-17,

    Jeremiah 29, note Jeremiah 29:1-4,

Daniel was taken into captivity as young boy, Daniel 1:1, Daniel 9:1-2, Jeremiah 29:10, but looks to have returned in Ezra 8:2

Note: Jeremiah 37:1-3, king Zedekiah instead, Coniah only mentioned here & Jeremiah 22:24,28, not in Isaiah or other Books in Bible of this account, including the Books of Kings, nor the Books of Chronicles.

    Hebrews 5, Hebrews 6, Hebrews 7,

Hopefully these are helpful in your study

    Yes, Wisemen,

He is still a full human and fully God in one person. The Holy Spirit is not Jesus, nor is the Spirit the Father, nor is Jesus the Father.

Rather we worship a Godhead of three distinct Persons that are a union in one Being.

    Yes, Mishael,

Men AND women were believers and of Jesus before Pentecost and gathered in the upper room with the twelve disciples.

And if husbands and wives were there together, I wonder where all of their children were? Possibly with them in the Upper Room.

They did not have "child care" then. Just something that makes me think.

    Brother Spencer,

Thank you for sharing this with us. I found it to be very good reading. Something I wanted to share, and I don't mean to throw a twist of any sort in what's been said by all here, but I find it very interesting that back in Genesis Chapter 12, when Abraham received the promise of God in Genesis 12:3, "I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curse thee, and in you shall all the families of the earth be blessed," it is interesting that when he received that promise, he wasn't Jewish. He was a Gentile. He was called out of the Ur of the Chaldees. He came into Canaan, and he's still Gentile!

Just thought I'd throw that out there, no particular reason, just something I find interesting!

If I say I have seen no evidence that Bill Clinton murdered Jeffrey Epstein, that does not mean he did not do it, just that I have no evidence that he did. When I say I don't know of any evidence of a conspiracy among 1st-century acquaintants of the 12 disciples to murder the disciples that means I do not know of any such evidence but that does not mean such evidence does not exist.

Don't look for king David to come back set up a kingdom...As Peter tells us in Acts 2 David is dead and buried..Its Christ who the bible is speaking about whos soul was not left in hell and whos body wd not see corruption...The bible just uses David as symbolic language for Christ Jesus whos soul was not left in hell etc...Thats the way GOD hides certain things in the Spirit...By using David as symbolic language for Christ...That special son that wd come out of Davids loins Solomon is just prophetic of a special son that is gona come outa Christ loins...Which is the H.G that Child of PROMISE..When he breathe on them he was propagating very God the H.G. with his seed...his words ..his breath etc...Our new BIRTH cannot take place without his seed the words of that new COVENANT...The seeds of the sower planted in our hearts is gona initiate a birth of Christ in us...Thats y he said unless you receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in...Thats y the new birth is so important..We are gona birth a baby Christ the son of man which is THE H.G....Thats y Peter is saying being bornagain of an incorruptible seed etc..The H.G. is the Israel of God that is gona be born in anybody who thirsts for righteouness...thus the Kingdom is gona be within us..As we have borne the image of the eathly we must also bear the image of the heavenly But the heavenly is Spirit as that which is born of the spirit is spirit...WHICH IS OUR NEW INNERMAN THE H.G...An Israel of God as Gal. 6 : 16 says an Israel of God is on the horizon...As many that walk by this rule peace to them and mercy to the Israel of God

    Good afternoon,

Although John did not write his gospel until late in his life, it is probably likely that he did write some things down either while with Jesus, or early after Pentecost. We just don't have these writings preserved. Who knows, perhaps John was a "record keeper" for the group while they were with Jesus. John founded many churches in Asia Minor. He must have written letters or preached at these, but the letters were not preserved over time. We just don't know.

    Yes, Steven,

God isn't taken by surprise by any decision of man. His plan was determined before anything was created, and He is able to fulfill it with or without man's cooperation. Same is true of His covenant with Abraham. It was unconditional. So, not dependent upon anything man does or does not do. We should be careful not to diminish the our view of God's Sovereignty.

God made a place for Israel in His plan AND for His church. We should be glad for this, embrace it, and pray for Israelites all over the world, not just Jews, but members of all the tribes, since the covenant was for all of Israel, not just Judah.

    Hi Giannis,

I think that one promise that is yet to be fulfilled is the gathering of the Israelites from all nations back to Israel. I believe the promise says that God will gather them back. I understand that to be a sovereign work of God, not by man's initiative.

Rose I prayed and ask God to allow me to be a help to you,, there is no need to break any curse because Jesus Broke Every Curse that mattered on Calvary when He said "It is Finished",, i myself have had times when my faith has been shaken and i have heard of false teachers as well as false preaching, which claims that if you ever doubt your salvation,, you are lost. This is simply Not true, to me the best test of a True Believer is this ,,, "A TRUE BELIEVER WILL NEVER DENY THAT ONLY THROUGH CHRIST BLOOD CAN THEY BE SAVED",, so Rose i hope you ask God to give you final peace, not based on what any man told you but what You Truly Believe in your heart, the dying thief believed and was saved,, Only Believe, That Jesus is and is a rewarder of those who Believes in Him.
  • Commentary on Luke 2 - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Pulpit Commentary

Verse 2. - And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days? It would seem that these Pharisees came from Jerusalem, and were no doubt privately commissioned to watch narrowly the acts of the new Teacher who was beginning to attract such general attention, and who already was openly setting at nought the numberless additions which the Jewish schools had added to the Law. Round the original "sabbath law" of Moses thirty-nine prohibitions had been laid down in the oral law; round these "thirty-nine" a vast number of smaller rules had grouped themselves. Amongst these greater and lesser sabbath restrictions were prohibitions against "reaping and threshing." Now, plucking ears of corn was defined to be a kind of "reaping," and rubbing the ears in the hands a kind of "threshing." "See," cried some of these spying Pharisees, "do thy disciples publicly break the sabbath, and dost thou not rebuke them?" The Lord's reply does not attempt to discuss what was and what was not lawful on the sabbath, but in broad terms he expounds the great doctrine respecting the significance, limits, and purpose of every law relating to outward acts, even in the event of that law having been given by God, which was not the case in the present alleged transgression. How rigidly the stricter Jews some fourteen or fifteen centuries later still kept these strained and exaggerated traditional sabbath-day restrictions, is shown in a curious anecdote of the famous Abarbanel, "when, in 1492, the Jews were expelled from Spain, and were forbidden to enter the city of Fez, lest they should cause a famine, they lived on grass; yet even in this state 'religiously avoided the violation of their sabbath by plucking the grass with their hands. To avoid this they took the much more laborious method of grovelling on their knees, and cropping it with their teeth!" Luke 6:2

    Ezekiel 8:10 Meaning and Commentary

So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping

    things

    As beetles and others, worshipped for gods: and abominable beasts;

    unclean ones; not only oxen, but dogs and cats, and other impure creatures; for such were the gods of the Egyptians, from whom the Jews took their deities: and all the idols of the house of Israel;

    which were many, even as numerous as their cities: portrayed upon the wall round about;

the pictures of them were drawn and placed around the wall of the room or chamber; and where they were worshipped by the PRIESTS and LEVITES, and members of the SANHEDRIN ; and this was not in one chamber only, but in many, as appears from ( Ezekiel 8:12 ).

Then the man in linen with the writing kit at his side brought back word, saying, "I have done as you commanded." ( Ezekiel 9:10)

Mishael: when the man in linen shows up, it is not good news. God told to open a secret passage; inside were detestable idols being worshipped by religious upperclass to the infants.

There are videos of secret chambers in the basement of the Vatican. One had the Pope in attendance of the tour. You can verify it yourself.

At this time, we have the Holy Spirit to guide believers in Jesus, away from cursed objects. I believe in fair judgment. Verify the expose'. If it's true, get far away from that. Cling to Jesus and the Word of God.

Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH, the LIFE. There are no other escapes. As it shows in Ezekiel; no one can worship idols and "be in Jesus Christ."

We bear a responsibility to search out these stories ourselves.

Thank you for bringing this passage to Light.

    Hi Gigi.

    You're welcome.

I find it amazing how so many have shaped their theology on God abandoning Israel as if Israel let God down in making his name great.

God richness in mercy and his faithfulness is on display in dealing with Israel as well as us.

It's amazing how some believe Gods promises to David " A kingdom here on earth where Jesus will sit on his throne " And the deliverance of Jacob has been voided because of their unbelief.

The heart of flesh wasn't to come under the law/ ministry of condemnation. 2 Corinthians 3:5-9.

They're misunderstanding God's order of events and Israels origin and purpose they feel the need to give God an excuse by saying those promises was given to the Church. Falsely claiming the church is spiritual Israel.

Listen to Paul here in Romans 11:26.

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from "JACOB":

For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Who's Jacob? certainly not the Church. Especially when putting it in the context of the previous scriptures. Romans 11:1-25.

    God bless.
