The Lord of the Harvest brings people to us that are open to hear Truth. He sets up Divine Appointments. People prayed with me.

My church was a house of Street Preachers. Age 16 to 70. In warm months, we had Rapture Movies on Friday nights on the Courthouse Lawn. It was like a big family gathering. Folding chairs for Old Folks. There was a gigantic Navy ships anchor out front; that the kids all sat on. It was such a blessed time. The pastor took people who wanted baptized that night to a nearby friends swim pool.

I'd never in my life experienced so much love! Why can't we take the church outside sometimes? I'm who Jesus called. I'm not orthodox. Just happy to follow Jesus around town. I keep to well-lit streets now. 35 years ago it was much less opposed or heckled.

I would like to know why is this book called Ecclesiasticus nor in my KJV Bible but instead

Ecclesiastes that have 12 scriptures in my bible. But on here this book have I believe 40

chapters. I've been in church many years and do know about the Bible, but have never

seen this book before nor heard of it.

Genesis 31:37

Hello Norma. Concerning the 'bases', this is covered more fully in 1 Kings 7:27-39 - you probably read all these verses - they speak of the same structures.

As part of the Temple's apparatus & in the Temple Court, were lavers, or basins. These were used for washing for the officiating priest & workers, & also for the washing of the sacrifices (separate basins, of course). Undergirding & supporting these basins, were bases & these were on wheels (probably for moving them about). So what you read of in verse 37, "After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one size", indicates that from the earlier mention of these bases, all ten of them were made from the same mould (or, casting), one measurement, & one size - they all looked alike, as did the ten basins that sat on them. Their significance? Probably for uniformity sake, as all the Temple apparatus were made to the specifications given by God & set in special positions in the Court & in the Holy Place.

I'm unsure what you are seeing in Psalm 5:5 as a contradiction, so I'll share a little anyway.

"The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity." King David has been speaking about those that have "pleasure in wickedness", those who "speak leasing (lying)", & those that "shed blood & practise deceit". But of course, those who continue in that state of sin, as David himself also succumbed to, will suffer under God's Hand. But as David realized his folly & sin, he repented & was restored.

In Psalm 5:5, it also states that the "foolish & workers of iniquity" will also be abhored by God, just as those described in these other verses. Maybe the word 'foolish' is your concern here. In Hebrew, the word is 'ho-wl-lim', which strangely, means 'to shine'. But the word used in context, implies these people are 'shiners', i.e. those shining out their characters, displaying self, indulging in self-praise. This display of themselves demonstrated their 'foolishness' by not changing their behaviour & having an incorrect perspective of themselves & others.

So in today's usage, this type of display is also regarded as sinful, as we see that true humility is a godly quality whereas boastfulness & pride are not of God & will be regarded as other sins. We need to, as Peter said in 1 Peter 5:6, to "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time". We can only truly be humble before God if that humility is already evident in our lives & in relation to others.

Meaning of Psalm 5:5

According to this verse, the boastful will not stand in God's presence. Those who praise themselves instead of God will not stand in God's presence. Psalm 1:5 mentions this fact too. It says, "the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous." Absalom, whom David was fleeing, was boastful and arrogant ( 2 Samuel 15:1-6).

Second Samuel 15:4 reports that he would say, "Oh that I were judge in the land! Then every man with a dispute or cause might come to me, and I would give him justice." Jesus told the story of a proud Pharisee who went to the temple and boasted about his self-righteousness but was rejected by God ( Luke 18:9-14). Jesus said, "Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled" ( Luke 18:14).

Scripture tells us God hates all evildoers (see also Psalm 11:5). The word "hate" may seem harsh, but we must try to understand how abhorrent evil is in God's eyes. Murderers, liars, and deceivers such as those who wanted to destroy David are totally detestable to God and therefore merit His righteous, holy hatred.

But I would like to point out that the verses you gave: Matthew 15:31, Matthew 11:5, and Luke 7:22 are not proof of the indwelling Holy Spirit and the anointing or the evidence of gifts of the Holy Spirit. When these words were spoken, the Holy Spirit had not come yet so no one could have had the indwelling Spirit at that time.

No. In full agreement with brother Jesse's comments, I would reiterate that the Lord has indeed given abilities & opportunities to both men & women for the Gospel & building up of His Church. It's just when the Church meets together, there is a clear order in assembling together & in ministry. And that order is based on 1 Corinthians 11:3, as Jesse shared.

This is proof of the indwelling Holy Spirit and the anointing or the evidence of gifts of the Holy Spirit. I'm going to encourage women to exercise their faith.

What I am asking is why does Jesus say if I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me in one place and in another place he says that it is the Father that draws men to him? is Psalms 5:5 a Bible contradiction?

Dear Mishael. Just wondering.

Many christians claim they have instructions by the Spirit of God to do some things for Him. But is it possible that the Spirit tells you to do something that contradicts God's written word? In other words God's oral word to you to be in contrast with His written word to all of us? (So God gives some rules to smd and then some other rules to smd else?) How is that ever possible? In that case nobody can rely on God's written word as there are exceptions from It. How can I then know that God instructed somebody or what to do in each circumstance of my spiritual life if I cannot relay on the written Word because I may be in a case that is an exception from it.? Always wait for a personal message to me? (Maybe then write a new gospel with all possible exceptions included?)

There would have been a whole mess in that occasion. Nobody could trust anybody, nobody could distinguish anything from anything, nobody could rely on anything. I see many christians have that kind of attidude that often gets them in trouble.

I don't want to offend you. To be honest I admire you and your life.

I am not sure what your stance is on this as you have not said, but I would have to say no. Paul gave instruction on this and Adam has shared a couple of great verses that would tell us that a woman is not allowed to teach in the church. There are also other places in scripture that would disqualify a woman from pastoring a church. If you would like me to share them and discuss them with you, I would be more than happy to do so.

If a person has already received Jesus Christ, do they go to church to be preached at, or, do they go to be taught the word of God? A pastor should be both a preacher and a teacher. Now, I don't see anything wrong with a woman preaching the gospel message to either men or women. But there is a difference between preaching and teaching. Preaching is for the unsaved, to bring them to Christ, and teaching is for the saved. Once a person is saved, they need to be taught, not preached to.

The bible is clear that a woman is not to be placed in a position of authority over the man in the church. 1 Corinthians 11:3 gives us the proper order in the Church. It says, "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." So the order is God/Christ/Man/Woman, in that order. In the church, can we change the order by putting the woman ahead of the man?

In function, the Father is the head of the Son, though they be equal, but different in function. And so it is with men and women. They are equal, but they have different functions and responsibilities. We're talking about God's order. It doesn't have anything to do with saying "You are superior, and you're inferior, so I'm going to put you in charge, and you not in charge." These are functions in the church.

With the love of Jesus and for the brothers, I have to disagree. There's too many scriptures of Paul naming women who helped him in the ministry. I feel sure that they were not all cooking.

Jesus didn't say: ok all you men GO YE into all the world. He just said, GO YE.

It is the Holy Spirit who anoints Believers for Ministry.

We are certainly living in the times of the Joel chapter 2 prophesy.

If a individual is anointed, the gift will make room for them to preach and teach.

I do know there are "Jezebel spirits" out there. We need to ask for discernment from the Holy Spirit so we can spot fakes with NO anointing. Are people being healed, set free, raise the dead?
