    Giannis, who is Satan?

    Everything has an OPPOSITE.

The tree of KNOWLEDGE of good and evil (opposites).

The word Of God is BUILT AROUND PARABLES, tree, or trees, is signified (represents something other than what it is in the physical).

Christ is a Lamb, TREE OF LIFE ETC.

The New Testament parables teach that we are the garden of God (Eden). Isaiah 5:7 Ezekiel 31:8

The TREE of KNOWLEDGE of good and evil exist in the midst of the garden (CHRIST is this tree, as he is also the tree of Life) In the midst of the garden.

Colossians 1:27 ..this mystery ...CHRIST IN YOU ..

We have only knowledge of evil, until Christ (the Holy Ghost) releases, or causes, us to have the mind of Christ (then we sprout and eventually become a tree, also. Isaiah 6:13 Ezekiel 47:7 Revelation 22:1-2

There is ONLY ONE SPIRIT, but the KNOWLEDGE of that ONE SPIRIT contains both good and evil.

Genesis 3:22 ....the man has BECOME LIKE ONE OF US (the man has become like God) to know good and evil....

Before man ate (the words of God), which is the TREE of KNOWLEDGE (Christ), he was the Child of SATAN (no knowledge).

You are BORN AGAIN by THE WORD'S OF GOD.

1 Peter 1:23 BEING BORN AGAIN ....by the WORD'S OF GOD ...

Now Satan (DARKNESS)(lies, deception, falsehoods) has been DESTROYED and LIGHT SHINES FORTH.

Isaiah 45:7 I FORM THE LIGHT, AND CAUSE DARKNESS: I make peace, and create evil ..

Isaiah 9:2 The people that waked in DARKNESS, have seen a GREAT LIGHT ...

    WHO IS SATAN?

1 Corinthians 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are PERFECT (born of truth), yet not the WISDOM OF THIS WORLD, nor of THE PRINCES OF THIS WORLD (children of Satan living in lies, deception and falsehoods, children of death and the grave).

1 Corinthians 2:8 Which none of the PRINCES of this world knew, for had they known it, they would not have crucified the LORD OF GLORY.

Matthew 12:38 But if I (our God is a consuming FIRE) cast out devils (lies, deception, falsehoods) ...then the KINGDOM IS COME

    Dear a Wife

I agree with Suze on this. Who ever told you to practice such a thing was way off. As you can see, result of this was harmful. I do suggest that you come clean on this with your husband and admit that you were given wrong advice on this. Apologize and admit that you should not have done this in the first place.

Perhaps this can be turned around for good if you both talk about things you wrote and how you prayed about these things (f you really did) and listen to his "list" about you and both consider what each of you need to address with God to seek changes.

In this chapter, Jacob asked his household to put away the strange gods in their possession. But in verse 4, they also gave up their earrings, is their anything wrong with earrings or is it also among the strange gods?.

Thanking you for taking up my question. I look forward to your comments.

Corruption came into the early church in different ways. With the church of Corinth (being such a large city back in the day) and in the 1st letter of Corinthians; we see there was cases of great discord and sin in their ministry. Paul rebukes that through the Holy Ghost. In 2nd Corinthians chapters 12 & 13 Paul gives instruction and warning to Corinth for things such as in 2 Corinthians 12:19-21. Look at Thessalonica...during Paul's first visit, they rejected him (although God's Spirit eventually broke through). Galatians was polluted with Judaizers (early Messianics).

Don't EVER put your Faith or confidence in a physical church. In a study I had the other day, I'd estimate more than 98% of churches today preach corrupt false doctrines and twist Bible verses. I see it here in this discussion too all the time. That's the church too. We should love and pray for the body of Christ (the church) but if you're hearing a preacher doing or saying something contrary to God's Word; simply leave. Don't cause a scene or anything else but simply leave.

Main line denominations have fallen far from God's Word for centuries now. Not one is in total agreement with the other. The most dangerous place is not even the physical churches. It's in internet churches, social media and right here on the internet. That's where I've seen some of the most blasphemous articles written on the Bible and called "theology." Remember, God's Word is simple and Christ's Salvation was for those simple the same. Anytime you notice it being complicated -- beware...there are wolves behind the pulpits today.
  • Daniel Lindenbaum - In Reply on 1 Peter 1 - 3 years ago
Amen! The simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ summed up in two verses. And that's exactly how Christ would have had it. God bless you T Levis!
  • Daniel Lindenbaum - In Reply - 3 years ago
Chapters and verses were added hundreds of years after Christ spake those Words. The same could be said for any part of the Bible. If you look at the preaching of the Apostle Paul, it's easy to tell where the writer paused (which later became a break to insert chapter). The first time this was ever introduced in both Old and New Testaments in a Bible was with the Geneva Bible in 1560.

Now, we'd have to be grateful the chapters and verses were added though. If not, it would be harder to give you direct answer on Salvation by saying read Romans chapter 10 verses 9-13. Without the chapters in verses...I could probably tell you to search for "those words" in Paul's letter to the Romans. God's Word would still make it's way into believers lives even if we'd never been given Bibles with verses and chapters but looking at it today; you'd be putting a lot of notes and bookmarks in...that's for sure.

Giannis, I don't know for sure your beliefs, whether man can go to Hell.

People look at scriptures in light of their beliefs, most often what they have been taught from childhood.

Those teaching most often were inspired by man's teachings. These teachings are ingrained and VERY HARD TO OVERCOME.

Mosses and the Prophets is all about the KINGDOM OF GOD.

When you understand Mosses and the Prophets, the New Testament will align with Mosses and the Prophets.

The OLD teaches ALL CREATION, at some point (in the coming ages) will be reconciled to God.

The Old teaches God does things at an appointed time, because the WORDS were spoken before the foundation of the worlds and are being fulfilled in that order.

The Old is a shadow of the NEW, that GOD CHOOSES certain ones as vessels of mercy and certain ones as vessels of dishonour.

Those CHOSEN in this age will become Ministering spirits: those not CHOSEN, will lay in the grave UNTIL the RESURRECTION OF JUDGEMENT.

When God raises those in the graves back to their flesh, Christ and his ministering spirits will JUDGE THEM and bring them to TRUTH.

Isaiah 5:13 Therefore my people (his creation) have gone into captivity, because they have no KNOWLEDGE .....

God is solving this problem of NO KNOWLEDGE by giving his creation the MIND OF CHRIST; but in his appointed time, to fulfil the WORDS SPOKEN.

Isaiah 11:9 ...for the earth SHALL BE FULL OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD .....

Romans 8:20 For creation was MADE SUBJECT TO VANITY, not willingly .....

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation OF CREATION WAITETH (God's appointed time) for the manifestation of the SONS OF GOD.

Romans 8:21 For CREATION ITSELF shall be delivered from corruption (the grave) INTO THE GLORIOUS LIBERTY OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD.

1 Timothy 4:10 Therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the SAVIOUR OF ALL MEN (even those that are saved in the age of judgement), SPECIALLY THOSE WHO (are caused) to BELIEVE.

Notice the conscience is not restored .

    Hebrews 9.14 NT

    The conscience is restored .

Keep your conscience pure as possible . It's vital to your relationship to God .

Do a word search on the word "conscience" in the Bible .

We all should have a good conscience and need to maintain it .

One more verse for further confirmation:

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years" ( Revelation 20:4-6, KJV).

    Sequence of Events:

    1. The first resurrection (this includes people who are killed during the tribulation for not worshipping the beast or

    receiving his mark).

    2. Those, who are resurrected, reign 1000 years with Christ.

    3. The rest of the dead rise after the 1000 is finished.

    4. The second death (for those who are not a part of the first resurrection).

Timing: Begins after the people are beheaded for their witness of Jesus, and for not worshipping the beast or receiving his mark, but before the thousand-year reign of Christ.

Here we can clearly see that there will be people who have been executed during the tribulation present at the first

resurrection. This can only occur if the resurrection occurs after the tribulation. These are the people who reign with Christ for a thousand years. If there is a pre-tribulation rapture, then these people are raised before the first official resurrection, they may not reign with Christ, and they may even be subject to the second death! Clearly, a pre-tribulation rapture requires that these verses must either be refuted or ignored.

    Allow me to continue...

"And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth" (Revelation

    11:15-18, KJV).

    Sequence of Events:

    1. The seventh (last) trumpet of the tribulation sounds.

    2. The earthly reign of Christ begins.

    3. The time of the dead (resurrection).

    4. Prophets and saints judged for rewards.

    5. Those who destroy the earth are destroyed.

Timing: Beginning with the seventh trumpet of the tribulation. The seventh and final trumpet of the period of the tribulation is sounded and the reign of Christ begins on earth. At this time, the resurrection and judgment of the saints occurs - after the

tribulation. This seems to confirm our previous conclusion.

"Sometimes, when God removes one comfort from us, he raises up another for us, where we looked not for it." Many times I have disregarded/rejected comforts Jesus provides in times of need because is not what I want or expect. How foolish can a follower be not to recognized that GOD/JESUS/HOLY SPIRIT is in control of all!!! even what I percievied to be bad. He clearly states in verse 11 that even the power to be crucified lay not in Pilates hands but in HIS!!! May we receive discerment to identified ALL HIS BLESSINGS AND COMFORTS THRU HIS GRACE!

There is a passage in Corinthians that talks about....."It is better to be in the House of the mourning than the House of Merriment?

It compares being at someone's passing as oppose to being at someone's birthday. Because at someone's passing you have time to reflect on your own mortality.

This is just my opinion so ...honesty , it's the key to any relationship . When I first read your comment I was horrified that some one , a Christian , told you to do that . In all honesty that sounds like some kind of witch craft to me . You don't say if your husband is a Christian or how long ago his happened . I think that you two definately need to talk about this , so far you haven't done so and things are not getting better so try the other option of telling him all about it and apologising , don't forget to listen to what he has to say . This , I think , needs to be sorted and you will have to make the first move . Timing is everything so pick your moment carefully . May God bless you both and keep you both close to each other and to Him .

If some one can show from scriptures that Jesus is coming 3 times ? Then maybe the error of pretrib rapture should be considered. But it's not there .

Jesus answered the questions about the end times . In Matthew 24 , and Luke 21 . Check it out .

Compare to revelation as well .

1 st reserrection fits the rapture perfectly.

I believe you got it right Mike .

God only has one house hold of people .

Only two class of people his sheep and the goats .

The 12 apostles will rule over the 12 tribes of Israel ! Really . The lamb and God himself will be the light for his people .

Can't remember where I read it about the 12 apostles ruling the 12 tribes , that's church leaders over the Jews . The 12 apostles are the foundation of the CHURCH and Christ being the chief corner stone .

    Amen

Notice they sought Jesus of Nazareth, the lowly son of the carpenter. The gospel is hid to them that are lost.

Now the name Jesus of Nazareth is the name above all creatures, above all creation. Jesus of Nazareth inscribed above his cross.

    Jesus of Nazareth is God.

Also, the scriptures were fulfilled even in the details we miss.

    Psalms 27:1-2

1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

    Psalms 35:4

"Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt."

Finally, Saul of Tarsus came confronted by the reality of Calvary.

    Acts 22:8

"And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest."

    Mike,

I am not trying to sway you one way or another about pre/mid/or post tribulation rapture because it's not a salvation issue. But I would like to comment on this section in Matthew you are sharing. There are two words I'm focusing on in those verses, tribes, and elect.

Now the word "tribes" is very important. That tells us that we are talking about Jewish people. It is a Jewish term. All the tribes of the earth shall mourn. And they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. All the tribes!

    Again, that would be Jews.

In Revelation Chapter 1 Verse 7, it tells us that every eye will see Him, even those who have pierced Him.

Zechariah Chapter 12 Verse 10 is a prophecy that the Jews hold to, only they don't understand its application. It says that when Messiah comes, they will look upon Him whom they have pierced.

So at this time when Christ comes, at His second coming, the Jews who are left on the earth, they are going to mourn, and they are going to look and go "Oh no, we crucified our Messiah, and here He is!"

They are going to recognize Him. And we see a few verses later that the Lord's going to round them all up.

It says the great Shofar will blow, and the Lord will gather His people from the four corners of the earth. So that is very important because that's a prophecy that the Jews looked for.

Verse 31 says He is going to gather them together, his elect, (that would be the Jews), from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other, north, south, east, and west.

So those two words (tribes and elect) tell me that this is not the church Jesus is talking about.
  • Richard H Priday - In Reply - 3 years ago
Not sure why my last part of comment was cut off. He chastises all He loves; and if there isn't a struggle with the Spirit and it being grieved in someone's life; then likely they are not really a Christian.
  • Richard H Priday - In Reply - 3 years ago
The first issue is perhaps the only main one; that is what does "accepting Christ as Lord and Savior mean?" As a PERSONAL Savior there is some more meat to that framework of logic. But there are many confessors out there but not true possessors of the Holy Spirit. We must truly remain within the vine and bear fruit to be one of His ( John 15:4). Baptism doesn't save anyone; it is an act of obedience and public confession which we are commanded to do associated with our repentance as scripture indicates as well.

The second issue is the purpose for the cannabis usage. it would be nice to assume that for medicinal and prescriptive purposes; it is being used for pain relief or some other theraputic use; or that what is being used is the kind without THC.

The plant itself has much more nutrient value and is not toxic unlike tobacco; although any smoked substance is bad for the lungs. Ultimately; the Lord chastises all those He loves. One can be caught with a vice for a time; but the Spirit is only grieved if it already exists within a person; which it is not with unbelievers.

In terms of recreational use; do we want the temple of the Holy Spirit to be contaminated; or influenced by a substance that causes hallucinations and an altered conscience (even if arguably it doesn't cause addiction like other stronger substances).

Anyone who doesn't do what he knows to be right--for him it is sin. ( James 4:17). We as with any other thing we take liberty to do must also consider others who are brothers who may in their conscience consider something wrong; as well as the obvious compromising of our testimony. That same principle exists for alcohol use; along with other drugs that marijuana often is a "gateway" to. Also there are illegal vendors who will spike PCP and who knows what other dangerous substances in it that are a danger to you and anyone else involved as well as monies going to nefarious characters.

I'm not sure why such a question is asked.
