Praise to our GOD in heaven, The LORD Jesus Christ! By your inclusion of this commentary from the pen of Matthew Henry you have supplied for me a key to the unlocking of the Wisdom of Scripture, which wisdom I could not attain unto, though for 40+ years now, even with pleadings to Him, I have tried by my own devices. God's Wisdom is plain if I will but receive it.

This morning I thought more on Lazarus & the parable of Lazarus, in thinking about it: maybe the parable/story was also about how the "Rich" in scriptural knowledge, not sharing or helping while Lazarus had "wounds the dogs would._." alone in his suffering, while the other had historical words of hope, healing, redemption, deliverance.

Just thinking: even though Lazarus in real life may not have been financially poor, his sister had been tormented by 7 demons, in front of the ' religious ' for they judged her openly, Lazarus who dwelt with his sister/s suffered.

Jesus walks in, delivers, redeems, forgives, restores & teaches GOD's words. Mark 16:9, Luke 5:17, Luke 5:29-32, Mark 2:14-17, Matthew 9:10-13, Luke 8:2, Mark 16:9,

John 11:2, John 12:1-11, Luke 7:36-50, Luke 8:2, believing Mary to be Mary Madgelene, & reading John 11:2, (as the only time Jesus feet were anointed with oil, & wiped by a Mary's hair)

Luke 16, interestingly in the Parable/story the "rich" man cried "Father Abraham, have mercy._.._" & "if they hear not Moses an the Prophets._."

    John 11, & John 12,

GiGi, I don't think you understand:

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come (the day of the Lord, when man can be created in the IMAGE OF CHRIST) that judgement must began at the house of the Lord (YOU and I and all God's creation is the HOUSE OF THE LORD)....

Hebrews 3:6 But Christ a son over his own house; whose house we are (the temple of God) ....

Remember Christ drove the money changers out of the TEMPLE with a WHIP.

All creation is God's temple and God is going to CLEANSE HIS TEMPLE.

Christ was INSIDE that temple made with hands when he drove out the unsavory.

Christ (in the form of the Holy Ghost) is still inside the TEMPLE MADE WITHOUT HANDS (CREATION), along with those that have come to truth that they also will be the exactness of Christ, in the form of the Holy Ghost) bring man into TRUTH, that you are the image of God.

Paul, Peter, and everyone that has left their body of flesh and become one with God; and God is Spirit, are now in MEN, judging the world.

Proverbs 16:6 By MERCY and TRUTH (God is mercy and truth, so are the saints that are judging the world

with Christ, as ministering spirits) INIQUITY IS PURGED .....

Psalms 104:4 Whom maketh his angels (ministering) spirits, his ministers a flame of FIRE.

Hebrews 12:29 For our God (God is Spirit) is a consuming fire.

    God Bless You!

Does great tribulation come before the rapture? Or are the chosen for the rapture, taken before tribulation?
  • Sing a New Song Unto the Lord - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
The appearance of Deity in the Old Testament brought humbling responses. When the Lord appeared to Moses from a burning bush, Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God ( Exodus 3:1-6). When Isaiah saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, he cried out, "Woe is me! For I am lostfor my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts" ( Isaiah 6:5). When the prophet Daniel received a vision of the glorious Christ, his strength left him. He fell into deep sleep with his face to the ground. However, an angel touched him and told him not to fear ( Daniel 10:8-12).

When the apostle John saw the glorified Christ, he fell at His feet as though dead ( Revelation 1:17). However, the Lord responded by telling Him not to fear. He identified himself as He did in verse 8 as the first and the last. Because believers are united by faith to Him, who is eternal, they too have nothing to fear.

Lots of people have seen Jesus in visions. I have. He is seated at the right Hand of God, making intercession for all believers who will come to Him.

I can tell jaw dropping testimonies of Jesus's intervention but it is by the Holy Spirits unction that I do. We are His disciples and it is Jesus who deserves the praise and thanks.

We don't wait TO FEEL like praising and worshipping and honoring Jesus. He is worthy to receive it always.

What does it mean to sell your birthright or in some of you give it away.

    Esau did both.

While we do not understand His providence, those who may wonder about these things will see His sovereignty, even as Jacob and Esau become living examples of the mercies of God.

Living out their lives these two would eventually reunite as brothers.

The true inheritance is the birthright too all who live in the Devine providence of God!

His sovereignty is yours and mine, if we are in the providence of Him!

If you are living outside of Him , there cannot be reunification, nor inheritance, nor birthright.

There would be no well of water without the providence of God.

Do you see Him sitting their waiting for you?

Come too Him and ask of Him a drink of this water, this water that springs up to eternal life! Glory to God in the Highest, peace and good will toward man! In the name of God the Father , God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit!

Yes Chris he wd have been forgiven Thats y the scripture is saying when we were yet sinners Christ died for us All of us...Ya gotta realize what he did at calvary is gonna be applied to everyman...Its just like what Adam did was applied to everyman no exceptions...But there is a good lesson in Saul/Paul...Saul was a murderer the 1st born...But the 2 nd man was Paul ...( the 2 nd man is the lord from Heaven )...He chose us before the world began

...No Chris even after we die there is chance of salvation...If IN THIS LIFE ONLY we have hope in Christ we are of all men most miserable...1 ST COR. 15 :19...What you are not understanding is even death cannot separate us from the love of God... Even Paul said we know in part we prophecy in Part etc but When that which is prefect is come that which is done in part will be done away with...No body cd see clearly under early Church doctrine...Just like the blindman cd not see clearly under the 1st anointing

...Early Church doctrine answers the 1st Anonting...But the blind man cd not see clearly under the 1st Anointing...Modern day Christianity answers to the Blindman that cd not see clearly under early CHURCH DOCTRINE....Thats y there is a different church on every corner...No body can see clearly under early CHURCH DOCTRINE.

...Chris God accepts everybody simply b/c of the Blood of the lamb...When i see the Blood i will pass over you...Remember that lil diddy...It didn't matter what they did or where they were from....When the Blood was applied to the Doorpost they were saved...But now under that new covenant his blood is applied to the doorposts of our hearts..Which is H.G. baptism...

....Chris the most concrete Doctrine there is... NOTHIN CAN SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD...Absolutly nothing, not even DEATH.

Tom, The word of God is a parable. The Spirit of Christ wrote the Bible.

Revelation 19:10 .... for the testimony (the words) of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus to the multitudes in parables, and without a parable spake he not into them.

Numbers 23:7 And he took up this PARABLE ....

Numbers 23:18 And he took up this PARABLE .....

Numbers 24:20-21 ...and he took up his parable ....

Job 27:1 Moreover Job continued his parable ...

Job 29: Moreover Job continued his parable ...

Psalms 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable ....

    Ezekiel 17:2 ... and speak a parable ...

    Ezekiel 24:3 ..... utter a parable .....

    Micah 2:4 ..... take up a parable .....

Habakkuk 2:6 Shall not all take up a parable against him .....

Know this is what happens when you don't BELIEVE GOD when he says he speaks in parables.

Proverbs 26:7 The legs of the lame are not equal, SO IS A PARABLE IN THE MOUTH OF FOOLS.

Heaven is a parable of the place GOD LIVES.

Colossians 1:27 ...this mystery .....CHRIST IN YOU .....GOD LIVES IN MAN

The angle of the Lord is a ministering Spirit (the Holy Ghost) the angle of the Lord is GOD, therefore that ministering Spirit (the Holy Ghost) is planting his SEED (inpregenating) man with TRUTH AND LIFE; creating man in the IMAGE OF GOD.

YES, ANGLES (MEN, that has left this body of flesh, and BECOME ministering spirits being BORN AGAIN (FATHER by the HOLY GHOST) and ONE WITH CHRIST are inpregenating creation with the SEED OF GOD.

    God Bless You!

    Romans 1:

26 For this cause God GAVE THEM UP unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

    28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Is is in my opinion (no one else's) that social media can be a tool to tempt Christian's to behave NOT like Christ the Lord. Jesus said they'd (Unbelievers)__know us by the LOVE WE HAVE FOR THE BRETHREN. (Men and women believers)

According to the story, it was the dogwood tree that provided the wood used to build the cross on which Jesus was crucified. Because of its role in the crucifixion, it is said that God both cursed and blessed the tree.

Going through all you've written Alex, & which we have heard before from you, the bottom line is: IF Saul/Paul continued to be a murderer of Christians, he continued to hate this Jesus & went to his death-bed as a great sinner, you're saying that at that day, he will be given re-birth (because of Christ's Sacrifice), all will be forgiven & he will enter God's Presence? Yes/No?

So God is no respecter of persons. I agree. The problem we have here is that God loves & forgives all people who come to Him in repentance NOW, not after they've died & stand before Him as you believe. This is where you need to discuss the matter. You need to show the facets of the Gospel message with your understanding. It seems to me that you believe that repentance is either not needed or is an option (probably the same with faith as well), because clearly, you've stated that God is bound to forgive & accept everyone, whether now or later. What type of Gospel message would you share? Maybe something like, 'Jesus died for your sins, so it doesn't matter if you repent now or not, God will ultimately forgive you, since He loves you & His Son's Blood was shed for you.'

Please tell me that I'm wrong in my understanding of this 'Gospel message' & what is the Gospel you would give to a seeking soul? The fact that you've avoided my questions can only tell me (& maybe others) that you're unable to reconcile the Gospel that the apostles preached to what you're sharing. If they preached what you teach, I'm sure they would have lived long & care-free lives. In fact, why should they even bother evangelizing & teaching - God accepts all regardless. Alex, please share something concrete, if you wish to continue this discussion. Thank you.

Chris GBU..But do you not see that if God cd convert Saul/Paul a murdered he will draw ALL men unto himself when the book is opened that Book of life for ALL men....I will KNOW them ALL from the least to the greatest when that New Covenant is meditated. That Book of life is the book in the Fathers right hand that Jesus wrote with his own Blood that is ALL Inclusive...I will know them ALL which is an intimacy with humanity that is gonna result in a birth of Christ in ALL PPL...Thats y the Prophet saw a new heaven and a new earth meaning a new Innerman and a new Spirit which is the H.G. And no more seas meaning no more seas of HUMANITY that have not been washed in his BLOOD....The wrath of the lamb implies he is gona wash every man with his blood as God is no Respector of Persons...As Isaiah said he is gona stain ALL of his raiment...We are his raiment thats y he said i was naked and you clothe me.

...Chris stop trying to twist the Scripture making God a respector of persons...God so loved the world implies everybody, God is no respector of persons...Saul/Paul cd not have cared less about Jesus or the New Testament he was murdering Christians he was the one who instigated the death of Steven...But God is no respector of persons...Thats y Jesus said IF I BE LIFTED UP I WILL DRAW ALL MEN UNTO ME...God is no respector of persons...He wants everybody as Jesus died for everbody...He wants to KNOW EVERYBODY...Thats y Isaiah is saying KNOWLEDGE shall cover the earth as the waters cover the Seas...THAT IMPLIES EVERYBODY...God will KNOW everybody according to Jeremiah 31 : 31 kjv...Everybody is gona give birth to a baby Christ which is the H.G. that Child of PROMISE...As Jeremiah saw ALL men in travail and birth pains thus ALL men are gonna be bornagain when that Book IS OPENED..The BOOK of life of the Lamb...It wd make God a hypocrite if he applied the CURSE of Adam to everyman no exceptions...But NOT apply the BLOOD OF CHRIST THAT 2 ND ADAM to EVERY MAN...All means ALL

Hi Haold, or maybe, Harold. That's a difficult question to answer, as we are not told an exact number of people resurrected. Some that come to mind from the Old & New Testaments are: Widow of Zarephath's son ( 1 Kings 17:9-24); Shunammite woman's son ( 2 Kings 4:8-37); an unnamed man ( 2 Kings 13:20,21); Widow of Nain's son ( Luke 7:11-17); Jairus' daughter ( Luke 8:49-56); Lazarus ( John 11:1-45); of course, our Lord Jesus Christ (Luke chapter 24); an unknown number of saints buried in Jerusalem ( Matthew 27:50-54); Tabitha ( Acts 9:36-42); Eutychus ( Acts 20:7-12).
  • Chris - In Reply - 3 years ago
Alex, I re-read my previous comment to you & don't see where I queried your belief about salvation through the Blood of the Lamb. What I did write was, "Yes, the Blood avails for all - but not all want to have anything to do with that Blood" (the only reference to Blood I made); but I was writing about those who have Christ's Blood available for them, but they refuse that Sacrifice.

I know you believe that only through Christ's Blood can all be saved, but you state, "that everybody is gona be saved". That is error. Then you imply that "If I be lifted up I will draw ALL men unto me". Again error. Jesus only states that His forthcoming Death on a Cross will be the means, the only means, for all men (not only for Israel, but all of mankind) to come to salvation. Mankind who have view of the Cross (& many in the world have knowledge of it), will be drawn to the Cross - to its message of sacrificial love & payment for sin. One may be drawn to view & consider it but it's quite another thing for them to believe it & turn from their sin to Jesus.

"The Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world" means just that: Jesus has come to make it possible for man to be redeemed - I believe you don't see the need for a response from man towards Christ. You say, "Man wd neva seek God". Of course you're right - in our carnal state we would not care at all about God. That is why the Holy Spirit was sent, to "reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment" ( John 16:7,8). No Holy Spirit, no conviction, no salvation, & man lost forever in his sin & facing certain judgement. The Spirit is the key 'Ingredient'.

If you believe that all men, whether they give regard to Jesus or not will be drawn to Him (i.e. to be saved), then you have wiped out a whole lot of Scriptures which speak to the contrary - you come with a notion that all mankind will be saved regardless of their present carnal condition, & where Scriptures don't support your view, you re-interpret them.

    Dear Shirley,

This verse points out that "in the ages to come He (God the Father) might show the exceeding riches of His grace in his kindness towards us in Christ Jesus".

I think in eternity we will always have a humble attitude before God as we will understand so much more deeply and thoroughly He loves us and how outstandingly great and precious the sacrifice of Jesus is. We will praise and extol the Lord forever, never seeking any glory for ourselves, but giving all the glory, honor and praise to God

    Dear Earl,

I am aware of these Scriptures. I leave it up to Jesus to determine what this will entail. But for me, I don't dwell on ruling over

anyone, but instead seek to follow Christ's example and words from Luke 22:25-27; John 13:1-17 and elsewhere where our

Lord instructs His followers to be servants, not rulers and to follow His example (washing their feet) and that those who wish to

be great in the kingdom must be the servant of all. So, I do not glory in the designation of believers being "kings and priests of

the Most High" as the King of Kings was humble and a willing servant. That is what I want my attitude to do.

I just think that those who desire to rule over angels and others have an unhealthy and devilish attitude.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE SAINTS JUDGE THE WORLD?

1 Corinthians 6:2 Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world?

1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we (the saints) shall judge angles?

Psalms 149:9 To execute upon them (the world) the judgement written: This honour hath all his saints ......

Revelation 2:26 And he (the saint) that overcometh and keepeth MY WORKS unto the end, to him (the saint) will I give power over the nations.

Revelation 2:27 And he (the saint) shall rule them (the world) with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers; even as I received of my Father.

Psalms 2:8 Ask of me (the Father) and I (the Father) shall give thee (Christ) the heathen (the world) for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the world for thy (Christ) possession.

Psalms 2:9 Thou shall break them with a rod of iron; thou shall dash them in pieces as a potter's vessel.

Psalms 2:10 Be wise therefore, O ye kings (the saints): be ye instructed, ye JUDGES (the saints) of the earth.

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I WILL MAKE THEM (the world), which are of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are JEWS ( they say they are born again of the word of God) and are not; but do lie, Behold I WILL MAKE THEM to come and worship before thy feet, and TO KNOW that I have loved you.

1 Corinthians 4:21 What will ye? Shall I come to you with a ROD, or in love with the spirit of meekness?

Isaiah 26:9 .....when thy judgements (of the saints) are in the earth, the inhabitants or the world WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS ......

    God bless you!
