    One can learn from the intensity and the power of wrong thinking when we do not except Christ. Jesus refers to it as the light. Believe in the light while we have Him. These words compared to nothing less than life here on earth and the life hereafter, called eternity.

    He that hates this life, profound as it may seem, are the effects of living in Christ.

    Even so we are in the world, doing the will of God, confronting sin in the world.

    One may begin to wonder what heaven will be like after leaving this place?

    Jesus once again confronting the Pharisees, who did not have far to come, watched Christ having dinner with Lazarus.

    So, Jesus takes the opportunity not far from the temple giving the place for Mary to show Her Faith with the anointing of Christ feet, while Her brother looks on! Her brother, this one Jesus clearly raised from the dead after 4 days in the tomb!

    The fact that the Pharisees, Simone, and Judas were all there is evidence that Jesus was giving these another chance to believe who He is. This is power, Christ is fearless in the eye's of an unbelieving hateful people ,who only wish to kill Him!

    He became our righteousness ( 1 Cor. 1:30). I would state that perfect fulfillment was completed at that point. Christ lived His whole life as the perfect Man; in obedience and submission to His parents; partaking in the synagogue activities expected of a rightous Jew at that time. He showed through His actions and scripture that mercy should accompany activities on the Sabbath; and since He was Lord of the Sabbath certain ceremonial rites could be bypassed by both Him and His disciples. The law itself and its standards still are in effect; although it is in society for the unrighteous. We are given the new standards as to how to behave with our motives; as Christ preached regarding lust and anger. Ephesians 2:15 is interesting in that Christ abolished the law; so to speak as far as us receiving the due wages of sin; that is eternal death.

    It is interesting that at the time: Christ said the weightier matters were to be looked after; with the rest NOT being undone ( Luke 11:42). It was not yet time to abandon Judaism until the work on the cross was accomplished. In fact; until heaven and earth go away not one "jot or tittle" of the law will expire ( Matthew 5:18). This; clearly refers to all things EXCEPT that which the New Covenant ( Heb. 9:15; etal) abrogates. That is; exceptions are ceremonial laws ( Acts 10:14-16) and the Sabbath Day ( Mark 2:27-28). It appears that because of Christ fulfilling Pentacost; or the eight day ( Leviticus 23:15) fifty days after the Passover; or Good Friday when Christ was in the tomb made Sunday the new day of rest. The early church appeared to meet the first day of the week.

    Therefore; we should love the law as admonished in Psalm 119. Only through Christ can we do good works ( Eph 2:10). Only by fulfilling the first couple commands as summarized by Christ can we desire His ways and demonstrate any love towards what is against our flesh nature. May we daily trust the Spirit and die to the flesh. Agape. RP

    This is a fascinating thing. I heard a sermon one time saying the words spoken about "if someone sees the face of GOD they cannot live" he said "they cannot live, the same" Is this the question you're looking deeper into? Genesis 32:20,30, Exodus 33:11, Exodus 34:28-30,35,

    It would be very interesting to do a study on the words. Exodus 3:6, Exodus 33:20,23, Numbers 6:25, Deuteronomy 5:1-5, Deuteronomy 31:17,18, Deuteronomy 32:20, Deuteronomy 34:10, Judges 6:22, 1Kings 13:6, 1Chronicles 16:11, 2Chronicles 7:14, 2Chronicles 30:9, Psalms 13:1, Psalms 17:5, Psalms 22:24, Psalms 105:4, Isaiah 54:8, Isaiah 59:2, Jeremiah 21:10, Ezekiel 20:35,

    Perhaps it's the word "man" that the emphasise is. Romans 8:14, Galatians 4:6, Hebrews 12:7, John 1:12, Philippians 2:15, 1John 3:1,2 , 1John 4:15, How sad it is when a living father says "see his face no more" or turns his face.

    Genesis 3:8-10, interestingly, in this translation it says they heard "the voice of the LORD" they "hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God"

    What's amazing is: Genesis 4:16, it appears even though they were cast out of the garden GOD's presence was still with them.

    Genesis 3:8 seems to indicate that Adam talked with God in the cool of the day along with Eve. The earlier communication in 2:15 seemed to be a command from God. The animals named by Adam were due to God bringing them to him; not necessarily indicating that anything was communicated as a directive for that event. Then once again; God was the sole voice in His declarations to Adam; Eve and the serpent. Evidence of the Godhead is in the word "Elohim" in the beginning of Genesis; and after the fall when He said that man would become "as one of us" (v. 22).

    As to which member of the Godhead was talked to; Exodus indicates that no man spoke face to face with God as Moses did ( Exodus 33:11; Deut. 34:10). It would appear that the preincarnate Christ would have been the one who can be approached; and certainly even in His case not in His full glory. Only the back of God could be revealed to Moses ( Exodus 33:12-23).

    It should be noted that since man had not yet fallen before this; that there could have been a closer fellowship before Adam hid from God. There was only one restriction before this; and after man was doomed to his fate and eventual physical death after that spiritual death had occurred; the only further restriction at that time was preventing man from taking of the tree of life and living forever in a fallen state. Genesis 3:15 shows God's spiritual provision; and the skins from the first killed animal the outer provision or covering ( Genesis 3:21).

    It seems clear that God spoke throughout the process that the Biblical canon was developed; and in fact since Creation. There were lapses; likely before the flood when all but Noah and his immediate family were saved; and later during the time of the Judges according to scripture. There was probably another long lag in the intertestamental period. The sobering thought is even Balaam spoke to God and Judas Iscariot was in His presence. Better to believe what is unseen than seen ( John 20)

    We can see a sort of progression; from the detailed descriptions of the Messiah to come of his sufferings at crucifixion; to the journey through the "valley of the shadow of death" mentioned in Psalm 23; to this chapter. Here; we see Christ entering into the gates or everlasting doors (v. 7 and 9); as well as a description in verse 10 of the Lord of Hosts being the King of glory; and the strong and "mighty" in battle in verse 8. Here; we have the triumphant return after the ascension likely indicated in verse 10; with the victory after the earthly triumph at Armageddon in verse 8; when He then enters into the temple itself (in the east gate). This gate apparently has been sealed off since antiquity in Jerusalem.

    The earlier verses indicate a Millenium stance; as to who is worthy to ascend the holy hill (v. 3-5).

    In terms of the blood of the Atonement; it is possible that it was placed in heaven; as well as being part of the vesture dipped in blood mentioned at His returns ( Rev. 19:13). We must remember that Christ is our "Passover" ( 1 Cor. 5:7). He secured victory over Satan; and over death itself. God was satisfied with this; and even pleased to crush Him. ( Isaiah 53:10). Christ Himself will rejoice and be satisfied; as the verse further explains. His travail is worth it to please the Father; and clearly His thought was on us when He prayed before His death for us to be "one" ( John 17:11 and 21). This mindset is similar to Paul's concerns as he was physically wasting away in prison over the church where he said it is more needful to remain; although to live is Christ and die is gain. ( Philippians 1:21-24).

    As the pastor last week mentioned in his sermon; Christ's battle was fought during the silent periods in His trial. He couldn't die after sweating blood in Gethsemane; or after the flogging which many succumbed to. No doubt Satan wished for this. He was strengthened until He had to be left alone at the cross as we see in Psalm 22.

    This was part of my experience . When I was young I was into astrology and tarot . I didn't consider that these things were in any way bad . For some reason I decided I wanted to read the Bible so I went out and bought a copy of the KJV .As soon as I got home with it , something told me that I had to get rid of my astrology books and tarot cards immediately , right then . I didn't think twice and threw them away without hesitating , then I started to read the Bible . When I look back on this it was very odd , I felt gently compelled , as if the Bible and those other books could not be in my house together , I had to get rid of them , instantly , and I just did it , without hesitating . It was awesome . I thank God for saving me from myself , He's done it many times .

    It's just the narrative of what actually happened , the disciples who had been with Jesus in the garden were afraid and they ran away . I think , like Gigi , that this person who lost his garment was probably Mark , but we could be wrong of course .

    Janet, there are many unbelievers inside the church.

    Christ first calls you, you respond because Christ CAUSES you to respond.

    Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is GIVEN on behalf of Christ, not only TO BELIEVE ON HIM, but to suffer for his name sake;

    Most DO NO BELIEVE, that they believe, because Christ CAUSES them to BELIEVE.

    This is just the milk of the word, the meat of the word gets even more complex and it takes more of CHRIST CAUSING YOU TO BELIEVE, the meat of the word.

    If the called don't believe the milk, Christ will not give them MORE OF HIMSELF TO BELIEVE THE MEAT.

    You are BORN AGAIN by GOD'S WORDS, you become ONE with God's words, you agree with God's words.

    Then you are RIGHTEOUS because HE (the word) is RIGHTEOUS, you are HOLY because HE (the word) is HOLY

    You PUT ON CHRIST, and all that he is (the word) YOU BECOME.

    When you depart from this fleshly body you put on immortality.

    1 Timothy 6:16 Whom only hath IMMORTALITY ....... You become the exactness of Christ.

    You become a priest (a ministering spirit, a flame of fire) in the kingdom of God, and that kingdom is in IN MAN. You will be in the presence of GOD and GODS ABODE is in man, bring MAN to TRUTH, of what a son of God is.

    This is speaking of unbelievers in general. This all begins back with Verse 1 and it has to do with a believer taking another believer before an unbelieving judge to settle a grievance.

    Verse 2 says we (saints) shall judge the world. So if we are to judge the world, we should be able to judge matters amongst ourselves without taking the matter to an unbelieving judge.

    Verses 5-8 are very interesting. He's talking about Christians doing this to each other, not from the outside, but to each other. Christians are doing wrong in justice. They are defrauding their brother. So the brother who is wronged, he files a legal action against his brother. And so he says isn't there any wise men among you that can decide what's right and what's wrong, and make those kinds of decisions?

    It's interesting that Paul says to set somebody up, and it doesn't have to be somebody that's educated. He says to take the person that is least esteemed in the church because the right and the wrong is pretty simple!

    He says you're at fault in your dealings. First of all, you are defrauding one another, and if your brother does defraud you, you think you got to take him to court because nobody's going to do anything about it.

    Just let it go, because we are talking about a Christian with another Christian coming in front of non-believers and letting non-believers judge between God's people. They don't even have the Spirit of God!

    Verse 9 says, "Know you not that the (unrighteous) shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, (and that word literally means "boy abusers.") Nor abusers of themselves with mankind, which is one Greek word that is the word homosexual.

    What he's saying is you are bringing your complaint against your fellow Christian to the non-believer and they're not even going to inherit the kingdom of God. They are so corrupt and you are asking them to judge between you and another brother.

    Friend; Mt. 22:12 = In the New Testament, two root words translate into the term "friend". The first, and most often used, is the Greek noun root (pronounced "FEE-los") which speaks of brotherly love (e.g. CHRIST's love for HIS "friend" Lazarus; Jn. 11:11).

    But here, "friend" translates from the Greek noun root (transliterated "hetairos"; pronounced "het-ah-EE-ros"). This term speaks of two close associates who are bound by mutual obligations such as in business ventures wherein both must equally trust, confide, and depend upon the other. Such is the use of the term "friend" in this parable as well as that used by the householder when responding to the employee's complaint concerning his wages ( Mt. 20:13):

    "But he (the householder) answered one of them, and said, Friend (Greek "hetairos"), I do thee (the employee) no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?"

    The king's use of the word "friend" proves highly ironic for this attendee was unconcerned, and possibly even rebellious toward the dress requirement. By blatantly violating such a visible requirement as refusing to wear a "wedding garment", this attendee revealed his lack of cooperation and resistance to other obligations as well (cp. Ps. 55:12-14 & 20-21).

    Of note, JESUS addressed Judah Iscariot as "friend" when Judas betrayed HIM ( Mt. 26:50):

    "JESUS said unto him (Judas), Friend (Greek "hetairos"), wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on JESUS, and took HIM."

    The verse above ( Mt. 26:50) fulfilled the prophecy recorded in Psalm 41:9:

    "Yea, MINE own familiar* friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of MY bread, hath lifted up his heel against me."

    * Hebrew "shalom" = English "peace".

    While Judas was CHRIST's "friend" only through his feigned and hypocritical discipleship, he perfectly fits in the context of a "familiar friend" ( Ps. 41:9) as John 13:18 & 26-27 describes: "I know whom I have chosen:He that eateth bread with ME hath lifted up his heel against ME."

    Well said Mishael but i think it is good to share testimonies with fellow christians.The four gospels are actually a sum of testimonies written by various authors. A brother's or sister's experience can lift us up and give us an advantage when we face a challenge in future.

    Mary (beloved) Magdalene ("Moriah Migdal Eder" = "mor" myrrh oil, "yah" Lord, "Migdal" high tower/ fortress from root "gadal" braiding hair)

    Name of Mary Magdalene alias Mary of Bethany who dried Christ's myrrh oiled feet with her hair matches her constellation "Hair of Berenice" at the peak of the galaxy: Lord's beloved's myrrh oil hair in high tower of Moriah (Zion).



    He (Lord) calls the stars/constellations by their names/individual characteristics ( Psalm 147).

    Berenice's (after Queen Berenice of Egypt) tiara crowned, braided curls at the galactic north pole hint to daughter of Jerusalem's (true church, the little flock) crown and only one lady in the gospels gained fame due to her hair. Mary Magdalene, daughter of Jerusalem, Zion, instead of Queen Berenice of Egypt, is represented in the stars and the gallery frescoes after what she's most vividly remembered for: Drying Christ's oiled feet with her hair.



    The name play, mar 'a, foreshadows prophetic revelation, as she is the visionary behind the Book of Revelation and the witness of the Gospel of John: John = Yah hanan or "Lord favours, favoured by the Lord" whom the gospel states to be Mary Magdalene ( John 19). She was the noble lady who after being healed from seven demons helped Christ with her finances ( Luke 8) and could afford expensive Alabaster oil jar. She, the beloved disciple, became the church's exemplar for being an honest sinner who loved, unlike the pharisees or gospel distorting so-called Christians.



    Mary, transliteration of original (Egyptian) beloved makes her the beloved disciple whom the male scholars shamelessly hid by replacing her with poor fisherman's son John of Zebedee who, unlike the upper-class lady Magdalene, could not write high the Greek used in Revelation and John's gospel. The fraud was widely accepted against the witness of the gospels:

    I'm not going to share a testimony today. ANY VOICE that causes fear, doubts of your salvation, or ACCUSES you about your actions or words_ is a demon.

    You fight accusations WITH SCIPTURES. Like Jesus did on his 40 day fast in the desert; after being Baptized by John the Baptist. Satan knew who Jesus was, but he thought Jesus was weakened and Temptable.

    When confronted, say what you know is truth. I am a blood bought child of the Most High God. My Lord is Jesus.

    "They" will not cross the Blood of Jesus. They will flee.

    Get more Scripture in your arsenal of weapons. Study.

    Amen! Some of this doctrine seems to be exactly what is talked about in 2 Timothy 4:3-4. Even some pastors try to "modernize" the gospel assuming its going to be better received by society. It seems there's been a big push from somewhere recently trying to redefine who Jesus is, along with other parts of the gospel- "it doesn't really mean what it says, but means this..." it all reminds me of how the serpent first deceived people.

    Good to meet you here.

    The Bible does not tell us much about Noah's wife. But if she protested much, I am sure we would have! She was most likely godly like Noah, desiring to walk God's way along with being supportive of Noah and his work constructing the ark. She probably helped build it! It will be interesting meeting these people in heaven and finding out "The rest of the story", as Paul Harvey would say.

    Dear bob, Scripture seems to indicate that Jesus would be three days in the belly of the earth, perhaps to indicate the grave. One thing to mention, unlike any other person who dies, Jesus' body did not see decay or any effects of deterioration while in the grave.
