    Hi Brook.

You said grow spiritual by keeping the law? We can't.

    Galatians 3:2-3.

    Galatians 3:5-7.

    Galatians 3:8-9.

    Galatians 3:10-11.

    Galatians 3:12-14.

    Also read Galatians 4. and

    Galatians 5.

Jesus didn't do away with the Law.

Jesus took on the penalty of the law that brought death.

    Colossians 2:14-17.

In fact it's called the ministry of Death.

Here's a few passages from Paul. at one time he felt the same way you do and set out to kill anyone that followed Jesus.

    2 Corinthians 3:6-11.

Romans 7:10-11. And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

Romans 5:20. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

Philippians 3:2-10. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:

    Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;

Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

    That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

    Galatians 5:11-12.

    God bless.

    Hi Roman,

It seems you made a few false assumptions, which I can cite as a specific example, but otherwise, I didn't understand what you wrote.

You: "for thinking you can dictate who is worthy of heaven"

Truth: God is the judge and chooses who goes to heaven or hell. I read what the Bible says and choose to believe God's word. Why would you assume "I" dictate who is worthy of heaven? It seems like quite a stretch to paint me as a bad guy for simply believing God's Word if that is your intent.

Maybe you feel upset that a good God has rules of right and wrong and that people who violate God's rules are "wrong" and subject to punishment. God loves people enough to give them all freewill and a fair and equal opportunity to follow Him. Those who reject Him and follow satan will not spend eternity with God. Some people reject God in the most hateful, vile, satanic way and it sounds like you think you'll be hanging out with them in heaven. That's not what the Bible says.

"I have offered you a grand vision" - that doesn't sound like your belief comes from the Bible, but some other ideology or religion which most don't believe. I don't believe it, because the Bible is clear what it says like Matthew 10:28 and it's not a joke. You aren't entitled to salvation. We all are deserving of the opposite. We aren't "good", we are sinful beings deserving death. Sin is like slapping God in the face. It's a big deal. Thanks to Jesus dying for our sins we have the opportunity to follow Him and for eternal life in heaven. God bless.

What is Salvation? "Asked by Lala."

    "Answer"

    Salvation is life!

Salvation is a new creation in you performed by God.

Salvation is when "GOD TRANSFORM YOU" after you truly believing and trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ. You have been transformed from dead to life. we're not perfect but we are transformed.

Here's a few old testament scripture that gives a description of salvation and how it's performed.

Deuteronomy 30:6. And the LORD thy God will CIRCUMCISE thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. "Here you see the lord cutting away filthy flesh from your heart."

vs. 8. " This is what God causes you to do after cutting away the "flesh".

"And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day."

    Jeremiah 24:7.

    Jeremiah 31:33-34.

    Jeremiah 32:38-40.

"I like vs 40! Eternal Security found in the old testament!

( And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me)

    Ezekiel 11:19.

Ezekiel 36:25. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I CLEANSE YOU.

Ezekiel 36:26-27. "Salvation is a cleansing!"

Salvation is a transformation by Gods spirit in you, and that comes by way of Jesus.

    New Testament references.

    John 15:1-8.

    John 10:27-29.

    John 6:45.

    Ephesians 2:1-10.

    Philippians 1:6.

    Colossians 3:10.

    Romans 6:17-18.

    God bless.

Hi Roman thanks for sharing that verse, but this verse doesn't support your belief about hell not existing or no one going there. Do you have any more you feel actually supports your belief?

1 Corinthians 15:22 "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."

This says those in Christ shall be made alive. Most people aren't "in Christ" and reject Him. Why would God welcome people who reject and hate Him into heaven a place He prepared only for those who love and follow Him? Hitler for example wasn't a Christ follower and wasn't in Christ. Judas was a follower, but betrayed and rejected Christ so he wasn't in Christ either. Most people aren't, as the Bible says. Do you believe that?

The fact is most of the Bible is warnings about who we will follow: we will follow Christ or will we follow satan (the world)? Parable after parable Jesus talked about warning us repeatedly. The whole gospel is am opportunity to be saved from our sins, which most reject, but don't have to. God gave us freewill to choose.

Did you read the whole chapter of the verse you shared 1 Corinthians 15?

Look at verse 2: another "if..." conditional statement. If you "keep in memory" and have not believed in vain.

verses 12-17 talks about false teachings, how people like to make up stuff which misses the whole purpose of the gospel.

verse 19 "If in this life only we have hope in Christ."

Keyword "hope". We have hope in Him, and hope for eternal life. We haven't been judged yet. This is why Christ gives us hope. Most do not have hope and will go to hell. This should deeply concern people. Jesus warned us over and over about this. So many verses, so many parables.

verse 25- all enemies will be under his feet. If someone only cherry picks the one verse 22 and ignores this one may be tempted to draw the false conclusion that all are in Christ, but this verse only 3 verses later makes it clear that no, not 100% of everyone is "in Christ" but enemies

In Romans 10:4 to me it never means to say that when Jesus died the laws died with him. I believe we should all be abiding by the laws of Moses and Abraham. Also we need to honor the ten commandments and really study what God is telling us to do and how to live a happy spiritual life. Such as so many people have strayed away from honoring God on the true Sabbath day that the vatican doctrine has changed from saturday to sunday, and how to push pagan holidays upon people. We all need to start reading and finding out the truth!
  • Ben W - In Reply - 3 years ago
Christ's atonement covers ALL that will accept Him... as the Bible very blatantly says so.
  • Ben W - In Reply - 3 years ago
WOW! you just said God uses propaganda to "scare us" and that His salvation "threats" don't make sense.. You're literally calling God a liar.

    Again.... damnable heresy!!
  • Ben W - In Reply - 3 years ago
Also, I should mention I do not believe in eternal conscious torment. I believe in Conditional Immortality. The Bible teaches Conditional Immortality very thoroughly. The Bible teaches both that we are MORTAL, and that the ONLY way to live forever is by trusting in Jesus.

Plenty of verses describe Annihilationism (Conditionalism). Malachi Chapter 4 sums it up best. It says those that will die in their sins will be burnt up and "left neither root nor branch". It goes on to say they will be "ashes under the soles of your feet".

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not PERISH, but have everlasting life."

That verse sums it up best.
  • Ben W - In Reply - 3 years ago
You're using Moses and the thief on the cross as an example that everyone will go to God's Kingdom?? The thief went to be with Jesus because He both witnessed and believed in Jesus. He literally called Jesus Lord. Moses is with the Lord because God made him His servant and he went on to be an excellent servant.

My friend, I'm sorry but Universalism is just extremely ignorant and it's not just a heresy, but a damnable heresy.

If everyone went to heaven, then Hell (Sheol) wouldn't exist. The Lake of Fire wouldn't exist. The Bible very clearly talks about people going to both Hell, and the Lake of Fire. You really need to get away from false teachers and study your Bible more.

We're at verse 9 and soon 10. "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you" -- afflicted? I can only think of one thing and that's the poke -- even "churches" get money to encourage it. If you haven't watched Mike Lindells news channel about the poke you should. -- In short the poke is designed to kill you over time, if not immediately -- it can also cause miscarriages among other horrible things. There is an archive.

It is unrelated to the previous paragraph: The one about a week ago with the Ukrainian-born Jew was rather amazing too

My father who is in his 70s never though he'd see these days.

"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places." -- the previous verse describes from 2001 to recent times -- "earthquakes in divers places" -- meaning earthquakes far underwater which have happened and have caused huge tsunamis. Just recently even a volcano exploded and could be seen clearly from space, including the pressure wave(the explosion which is too loud and doesn't cause sound but a boom).

Christ has clearly said all of this in order of what will happen.

Reading the book of Kings, I would like to know concerning Kings 1:21 verse 29 if Calamity was brought upon King

Ahab's son because of the sin of his father. Also, if King Ahab's son had repented as his father had would he also

and his house have been spared. I believe bc our God is so merciful his son would have been spared had he lived

    a righteous life before God.

    Thank you for feedback.

    Hi Larry

i believe you will find your answer in the book of Revelation chapter 3:15-17 in the Lord's address to the church of the Laodiceans:

"I know your works, that you ate neither cold, nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So, then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, i will vomit you out of my mouth. But because, you say, 'I am rich, having become wealthy, and have need of nothing'-- and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked-"

Giannis, I don't think you have come to the FULL TRUTH of the workings of the FIRST RESURRECTION.

YOU DIED and CHRIST BECAME the NEW INNER MAN.

1 John 3:9 Whosoever is BORN OF GOD doeth not commit sin; for HIS SEED (God's SEED is CHRIST) REMAINETH in him (the one born again), and he (the one born again) CANNOT SIN, because he (died and) is BORN OF GOD.

Believing Jesus came in the flesh and died for our sins, and being BORN AGAIN are two different things.

This comes back to those that said Lord, DID WE NOT, and the Lord said, NO you did't, I DID, depart I never knew you, ye workers of iniquity.

Colossians 1:27 ....this MYSTERY ....CHRIST IN YOU ........

Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD that WORKETH IN YOU (because you are dead) both TO WILL (not your will, because you are dead) and TO DO HIS GOOD PLEASURE (not your good pleasure, because you are dead).

    Lets talk about Sabbath first.

Many things from the OT are not valid now Sacrifices, offerings, commandments, holy days etc have no place in NT. One of them is Sabbath.

See Colossians 2:16. Here apostole Paul says to Colosians that no man can judge them because they didn't follow OT's practises, including (pay attention) Sabbath as some Jewish christians claimed. Paul dismisses this idea.

Christians soon chose the first day of the week for their formal congregation during which they "broke bread" that is take the Body and Blood of Jesus Crist or as some churches name it have Holly Communion, see Acts 20:7,

Also in 1 Corinthians 11:20 Paul talks about Lord's Super, (but the greek text says Lord's Day super "Kyriako deipno") . Lord's Day is how early Christians called Sunday. Early Christians had the Holly Communion during a super just as Jesus did with His Disciples. This practice was abandoned sometime during the 2nd century AD and the Holly Communion was transferred from the church's super to the formal Sunday service.

Also see 1 Corinthians 16:2 Paul says to Christians in Corinth to gather money on Lord's Day.

Also in Revelation 1:10 apostole John talks about Lord's Day

So the formal day for christians at the time that the apostles lived was Sunday,. Sabbath has nothing to do with us now Many other verses that i cannot remember now verify that the Sunday and not Sabbath was the formal day for early christians.

You can find all those things in books about the history of church.

Now as far as commandments are concerned to be honest i have no idea what the Catholic church has done.

    God bless you.

It is a sin Miria -- where did you read that it was not sinful? Mishael indicates that in his last two paragraphs.

To understand as well why did God strike him dead aligned with everything already written above? God commissioned the generations of Judah and there was to be a child with Onan. But Onan did this to spite God. Further judgement with Judah as he withheld his youngest son and was to be seduced by Tamar.

Overall too (the bigger picture of this), Judah was there to first suggest Joseph to be sold to the Egyptians. He was not the sole brother responsible but spoke the idea and troubled their father Jacob (Israel). Right after Joseph's abduction, we're not told the judgements of the other brethren. But we're told of Judah's specifically because of the wickedness that was in his heart. So was Judah judged as well as his children.

We are the Body of Jesus Christ.

His heart to overflow with compassion. An uplifting word when one is needed. To come alongside in a difficulty. A ride to Church. A "hi how are ya" at the grocery store.

This age in society people sorta shut out the community.

I know people who are so insulated at home, it's tragic.

I'm an evangelist and everybody I run into are gonna get some "SON shine" on them :D

It takes so very little emotional investment to have a moment to share, a good word, a little testimony, an invite to sit with me at churchI'll be the one with a red shirt. Jesus routinely loved on the little children in the Bible. To me that's an encouragement to do the same.

Jesus is lookin' for FollowersI will make you fishers of men/women/children

Go ye into your neighborhood. Amen.

I'm praying God will supply all of your needs. I know how hard it is to raise a child alone. Maybe someday someone will help you do that. The scripture encourages us to be closer to Jesus's Body for support.

One day I was sitting at an open window doing bills and I heard the children outside have a conversation about having to spend summers with their other parent ( as in cases of divorce). They labeled theirselves "Divorced Children." It broke my heart. I went outside and ministered the love of Jesus to them. They seemed to accept that "the other parent" loved them too. Loss hurts everyone: grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins. It takes huge effort to share your child with other "family."

I had to work, and did not want my son alone from 4pm to 530. I budgeted money for a tutor (from my church) to come to my house and help my kid do his homework. It worked out really great, if they finished early, they played catch outside. Dinners were a lot more relaxed.

This was a 5 day a week gig. You can find tutors at church or through their school office. The tutor would be a high school student who wanted to earn money for college.

It gets us through choppy waters to where, things are more orderly. Shared routines. I got to do the fun things with my son; spur of the moment stuff. It helps you realize life isn't over. There are possibilities.

This is what the Body of Christ is here for.

Ty, I too believe we will be raised in spirit - not at all similar to our present day physical bodies. However I do not waste much time trying to figure this out. Which ever body I might have is not nearly as important as trying to follow scriptures to do the best that I can to please Jesus in the belief/hope that I someday will have one body or the other.
