    The Lord shall shout ,the 7 trumpets shall be heard across the nations. The moon shall no longer give light, for He shall lighten all nations, all the world! Then shall they glorify His power as they see his light, as it shines out of the west. They shall say confess that Zion and its gates shall not be prevailed against, for He has brought Her out of trouble. He has gone forward and bares not the sword in vain! These who will die will die in the sin and blood that He alone shall execute, leaving only the stain of the winepress that He alone shall trod. The stain He alone shall we see as His tunic shall be! Wake up all people of Zion the daughter of His only beloved ! Your redemption has arrived! Repent and be Baptized

    For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

    God does not send Christians into all the world today to baptize, but to preach the Gospel.

    Jacob was a first cousin to Leah and Rachel, because Laban (Leah and Rachel's father - Genesis 29:5-6,16) and Rebekah (Jacob's mother - Genesis 25:28) were brother and sister ( Genesis 24:29, Genesis 25:20) born of the same father (Bethuel in Genesis 24:15,24,47,50) and apparently born of the same mother (unnamed in Genesis 24:53,55).

    It doesn't really matter how far removed Jacob's father Issac was from Laban if Jacob's mother was Laban's sister. The closest relation on either our father's or mother's side always determines how closely we are related to someone else, not the paternal relationship alone. So Jacob would have only been a third cousin one generation removed from Leah and Rachel if Jacob's father Issac had been the closest relative to Laban's daughters. However, that is basically irrelevant in this case because Jacob's mother Rebekah was clearly the closest relative to them.

    Identifying the beast, the anti-christ of Daniel and Revelation as Russia:

    -In 1991 the USSR suffered a "deadly wound", which has healed into the Russian Federation, that the people will marvel at, Revelation 13:3

    -Russia is the little horn, rising up after the USSR received a deadly wound, emerging as the Russian Federation, Daniel 7:8

    -"Even he is the 8th and is of the 7". Russia was the 8th G8 member and is of the G7. & Russia, being the 8th member, leads a confederacy of 7 nations (from 10), Revelation 17:20

    -His look is "more stout than his fellows". Russia has 11 time zones, Daniel 7:20

    -He becomes strong with a small people. Russia's population has been stuck at 144 million for decades, Daniel 11:23

    -Even though God has always held back Gog (Russia), He will now bring him forth, with his northern army to destroy Israel, whole. Ezekiel 38:4

    Delivering more than a sandwich, Mobile Loaves & Fishes' food truck volunteers hit the streets 7 nights a week, 365 days a year to provide food, clothing, hygiene products and other life-sustaining items to our homeless neighbors. With the support of more than 20,000 volunteers and over 5.5 million meals served, Mobile Loaves & Fishes is the largest prepared feeding program to the homeless and working poor in Austin, Texas.

    Relieving immediate hunger is fundamental for taking the next step toward emotional, spiritual and physical healing. With dignity and respect, our caring volunteers prepare and deliver wholesome meals and other basic needs to our homeless brothers and sisters who are struggling to survive. A handshake, a hug or a friendly smile can go a long way.

    Everything we do is about relationships. The biggest lesson we have learned over the years is that we are not a food ministry. We merely use food as a conduit to connect human to human and heart to heart.

    The primary cause of homelessness is a catastrophic loss of family. What begins with a sandwich and a conversation with a caring Mobile Loaves & Fishes volunteer, soon opens the door to community and relationships where they're needed most. As we faithfully serve our homeless neighbors and deliver meals with a side of hope, lives truly are transformed. [Alan Graham]

    WHATS ON A TRUCK:

    Each delivery truck carries a minimum of 100 meals and other life-sustaining supplies:

    * Sandwiches

    * Fresh Fruit

    * Boiled Eggs

    * Baked Goods

    * Chips, Salads

    * Bottled Water

    * Coffee, Juice

    * Hygiene Items

    * Shoes, Socks

    * Clothing

    * Books,Bible

    * Friends

    Sustained by Donations from churches, community, and individuals.

    Mishael: this would be a great ministry for any town. They give people The Word for the soul and food for the body.

    Three people started this! Wow!

    Elijah was sent by God to the widow at Zarephath. It's understood that Elijah remained in Zarephath (on the Phoenician coast) for about three years before being sent by God to meet with Ahab, king of Israel, in Samaria. There is no indication that Elijah ever married the widow in the intervening time.

    Hello Curious-L. Brother Daniel has correctly shared with you what was going on amongst the Churches in Galatia (in North & South Galatia): that Judaizers had infiltrated the Churches ( Galatians 1:6-9). And these Judaizers, as he has explained, were corrupting the true Gospel of Jesus by demanding observance of the old Laws & its practises.

    Then from Galatians 1:11 to 2:21, Paul writes on aspects of his authority to share what he did over & above what these false teachers were claiming: Paul's authority given by Revelation, by the Jerusalem Church's approval, & by his rebuking of Peter.

    And from chapter 3, I think is where your confusion arises. From here on, Paul teaches what the Galatians should be embracing, i.e. Justification by Faith alone & nothing else. In the Church, there would have been both converted Jews & Gentiles worshipping together. Since both were being taught by these Judaizers about adherence to the Law as well as Faith, to the Jewish convert these words in chapters 3 & 4, would have much meaning & they would be in need of more correcting.

    So how does this apply to you & me? Paul is not stating that the Gentiles (including you & me) were ever under the Law, as the new Jewish believers once were, but was emphasizing that since those who were under the Law (i.e. these new Jewish believers) and those Gentiles who were being taught to also embrace the Law, are affected by the false teachers, all should be warned that they don't syncretize the two (i.e. uniting or mixing together Law & free Grace through Faith) - they cannot be mixed together - they're like oil & water. So, Curious-L, you & I were never under the Law, but we're to be careful not to adhere to the Law as well to gain salvation, to which Faith speaks against. The Law was given only to show the Jew their sin & incapability to keep it perfectly & be righteous before God - it was given to ultimately "bring them to Christ, that we (all - Jew & Gentile) might be justified by Faith."

    Hello, well, I'm always told the Old Testament is old and it is done away with cause we in the new and we under a new way. I guess that is not right, but they say this in church I started going too is why. This why I skipped to the New Testament, plus my pastor only teaches from the new anyway, I guess that is not right as well.....Shhh, smh.
  • Curious-L - In Reply on Galatians 3 - 3 years ago
    Hmmm, a bit more confused as took some of your advise to go to Galatians 1, but came back in this chapter to find this verse 3:23 But before faith came (faith is Christ from my understanding), we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

    Hi Kay.

    Thanks for your reply.

    I've never heard a pre-trib view taught that there is 3 comings of Christ, I always understood that there is the 1st coming and the second coming to Earth.

    The rapture is called the "harpazo" in the Greek. meaning "to snatch away" or "to seize," The Lord don't come to the earth, We go to him!

    1 Thessalonians 4:17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the LORD IN THE AIR: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

    His second coming he comes to the Earth with judgment.

    In these 2nd coming verses there's no mention of the removal of saints.

    Here's just a few of many.

    Zechariah 14:4.

    Revelation 19:11-16,

    Revelation 20:1-6.

    Matthew 25:31-32.

    The 2nd coming he comes with his saints.

    If he raptured in his 2nd coming when he comes and make war against the nations who's going to populate the Millennium?

    Here's parallel verses to

    Mathew 24:31.

    Isaiah 11:12.

    Jeremiah 23:7-8.

    Jeremiah 16:14-15.

    Ezekiel 34:12-13.

    Isaiah 45:4.

    Goodnight Kay and God bless.

    Nancy, I looked on a chart for Abraham's lineage online

    You might google "Abraham and Nahor's lineages and see. There were "generations removed" in the lineages. Bethuel and Isaac were first cousins, but one generation apart (since Abraham had Jacob at such an old age and Nahor had Bethuel at a normal age). Isaac and Laban were "one generation removed" though closer in age. Rebecca, Laban's sister also was "one generation removed" from Isaac, being of the same generation as Isaac but her Father, Bethuel, was Isaac's first cousin. (Bethuel was the father of Laban and Rebecca). Jacob and Laban were second cousins but one generation removed" as Laban was the father of Leah and Rachel, so he was of the generation of Isaac and Rachel and Leah were of Jacob's generation but these women were not Jacob's second cousins.

    Leah, and Rachel were third cousins to Jacob "one generation removed". Jacob's children and Leah and Rachel are third cousins

    "one generation removed.

    I realize that these are "one generation removed" things are confusing. I come from a lineage of large families, so having cousins that are "one generation removed" is common as the older children in a family may have children older or close in age to the parents youngest siblings. But in this case, the "one generation removed" come into plat because of the wide age difference between when Nahor had Bethuel and Abraham had Isaac. Bethuel was a father before Isaac was born, thus there was a generation between Isaac and Bethuel but they were first cousins.

    For example, If Nahor was 43 when Bethuel was born and Abrahan was 40, Bethuel was 45 when Isaac was born, (85-40) but they were first cousins. If Bethuel was 53 when Laban and 50 when Rebecca was born, Abraham would be 85. (33+53)

    If Abraham was 85 when Isaac was born, Nahor would be 112, Bethuel would be 45, Laban would be just born. If Isaac was 30 when he married Rebecca, Bethuel (his first cousin) would be 75 (45 +30), Laban 30, and Rebecca, 27.

    GiGi this is a second reply and addresses a different subject entirely - this concerns the concept og heaven and eternal life. We I try to get my head around this my mind boggles and my thoughts become more and more confused. I have reached out through the internet toward the offices of the leaders of the Church of England and to the Pope and the responses I have receive have been decidedly undefective and not in the least helpful.

    Until I receive a rather airy fairy response from someone in the Roman Catholic Church I had a partially formed (but still very confused) image of something a kind to Old Testament drawings of GOD in his heaven surrounded by all the souls of mankind and I mean all the countless billions. In some way I would join this host and there I would again be united with all of the people that I loved on this earth and in some other unclear manner we would continue to "live" in total harmony with all every other sole in heaven in a wonderous existence of no stress and no pain, total equality under the blessing of OUR FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN and this in my mind would be represented on absolutely heavenly existence that would be infinite. It is because of this and my hope that GOD will forgive me my sins that I do not fear what happens after I die.

    What is your view?

    They were cousins.

    Abraham and Nahor were brothers.

    Isaac and Bethuel were first cousin

    Jacob and Laban were second cousins

    Rachel, and Leah were third cousins to Jacob

    I think this is so.

    GiGi thank you for your response and I fully support the non-denominational approach to the way in which we practice our religion and express our views not only between ourselves but towards others as well. In fact, whilst I have not got a a clear position in my mind I am inclined to extend the "non-denominational theme" to somehow encompass other religions that have positions similar to ourselves.

    I have for many years lived and worked with Muslims across the Middle East and over South East Asia and I have enjoyed the company of Jews as friends and with the exception of the lack og recognition of Jesus Christ as being the SON OF GOD I find the principles of both these religions to be the same as ours.

    Again I have lived and worked in South Korea for many years and have enjoyed very close associations with Buddhists who don't recognise a deity but nevertheless adhere to the same basic rules as we do. I have not in depth experience of Hinduism and from what little I have observed their religion is quite a mystery to me but again I have work with a god number of Hundu's and Sikhs and found them also to live a life that is largely built on the same rules for humanity (reference the Twelve Commandments) as we hold to.

    I have difficult in accepting that our merciful and forgiving GOD would reject all these other member of the human race for not not holding precisely to the same religion that we share. I will be most interested in your views on this.

    Dear Curious,

    Those in the States have a huge blessing of having the right to vote for those who represent them. So, as Mishael says, do not

    leave it to the other guys who vote. Learn for yourself what is happening and discover the policies and stands

    of those running for offices hold to, not just what they say they stand for. Find out about their records to see if these and what

    they say agree. In my 47 years of voting, I have never seen as fast of a deterioration of our economy, social stability,

    criminal behavior in our streets and by those in powerful positions as I have seen in the past 2 years. It is very concerning. We

    should care! We should pray! We should exercise the precious freedoms and rights we have as citizens as long as we have

    them. It is a shame not to!

    God could have easily had any of us be born in another country than here.

    But those of us born in here are here because God chose that for us and expects us to make full use of the rights, privileges,

    and liberty this county affords its citizens. By making use of these things we have power to turn the tide of our nation, to be a

    restrainer of evil in our country and communities, contribute to the good of our country which in turn has historically provided so

    much good to other countries and their peoples, much more so than ANY other country in the world for generations.

    Even if the Jesus should come back sooner than later, we should not cower or remove ourselves from the responsibilities of

    citizenship in this country waiting for Him. God has given such citizens a unique opportunity to self-rule that most of the world

    does not have.

    Other systems are not the answer for us. These are the systems that will usher in the antichrist and his one world

    government. So I pray that a multitude of us in these States to be wise in how they hold their citizenship.
