I am sorry my dear sister but I do not think that there is a warrior gift given from God. What made you think that? Where in the Gospel do we find that gift?

The spiritual gifts that the Spirit of God gives to his children are all described in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11.

Finally gifts are given for service in church not for individual use, that is for my own use.

Now if you mean a natural gift that everybody has and serve the church then it is you who knows it.

Now how do we know which Spiritual gifts we have i also think you know better. It is usually the one that suits you are gre good at it, God will never give you a gift that you can not hold.

Intercessory prayer. Find one in your church, or form one. Intercessors are the most courageous: fighting off the beings that oppose Jesus. Our prayers can tear down strongholds; open the skies so prayers cannot be silenced. silence lying spirits that say you cannot do this.

Listen to the Holy Spirits counsel: ask Him for the gift of discerning of spirits ( human, evil, or of Heaven)

Our enemies are not flesh and blood. They're invisible and sometimes inside of a consenting human, animal or creatures. The Holy Spirit will alert us what spirit is opposing us.

Pray Harder: call it out, use its identity if the Holy Spirit reveals it. Bind and Loose as Jesus taught us. Ask God to send angels when extra protection is needed.

A testimony: I've been immobilized by demonic things. Had my mouth shut so I couldn't yell for Jesus. All of heaven can hear your SPIRIT screaming THE BLOOD OF JESUS. You will be released immediately. Don't panic. Plead the Blood. [Get anything no matter what_ the Holy Spirit says is cursed, Acts 19:19, destroyed.]

There are passages in the Old Testament that describe war and battles: lapping water, running low, digging trenches: which can be used in war prayers. Watch that movie, the War Room. That woman had the devils on the run. Those are our enemies. We have to be alert to their "fruits." Like anger, violence, threatening fears (they're buddies Torments) Mishaps in the house: hindering and harassment devils.

You might watch a FEW videos by Derek Prince. Devils exist but Jesus gave us everything we need to defeat them: SCRIPTURE. Spend time in Gods presence, soaking up Bible in massive amounts. No speed reading.

The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. How often I am reminded of this condition within myself. These moments in the trials that we must all face at one time or another. Again, reminded of Christ in the garden sweating droplets of blood. The power that has been given to you who believe, is the same power that will get us through to the end! While Jesus experiences the pressures in the flesh, we see Him go unto a desert place, upon hearing Johns death. Once again reminded that even though Jesus is God, He is in the flesh suffering and feeling the same trials as us. This moment the same as when Lazarus died! Sharing our griefs, understanding all our pains, failures, this is why Jesus came! There is none like Him. None! Jesus the savior of the world.

As for the part about rendering to Caesar he put them in to a trap.He said give to caesar whats his and God what is his.What is God's ?Everything.Jesus did such way of puting his enemies to a trap even other times when he was asked by tge pharisees about his authority he asked them about John authority.So the sincere would understand it as being about giving all to God while the wicked will understand it as being for wretched caesar.And as for Luke 14 Counting the cost is not about investing money its counting the cost of discipleship which Jesus shows just some 3 verses after your citation Luke 14:33 we should give all.And the parable of the talent aint talking for investing either

And what did Abraham say to the rich man in the story of the rich man and lazarus which i dont think its even a parable luke 16:25 so he will not go to heaven because he had his riches in earth not in heaven .

Verse 21 you said, i know it comes from the heart just like your protection of the offspring of usury money and i know money is iron but if we serve like the greek word servus which means to labour for we have blasphemed God and make him angry in his jealousy it is not talking about worshiping or slaving like overworking for it but for working for it because the pharisees mocked Jesus afterwards because they were covetous .Now i dont think that the pharisees worshipped money.Do you?

Now as for the God Jesus working for money as you say to me it looks blasphemic as God provided for him because he preched that in Matthew 6:19-33.Jesus was no hypocrite to say and dont do it himself.We get this idea that for some time Jesus forsook his heavenly throne and then lived as a poor person to be raised again in glory to his Father who is in heaven and Jesus.In the bible it says the son of the carpenter not Jesus the carpenter.

Maybe John knew but he sent his disciples to Jesus because he wanted them to know , there is a theory that some of John's disciples became followers of Jesus and that maybe even some of Jesus apostles started out as John's disciples . John wanted his disciples to follow Jesus after his death , I'm sure he already knew he was to be executed , so he sent his disciples to Jesus .

Dear "Yvonne Haynes", Here you have found a question. :) Which probably has more views on it than i have. I will try to show you. A snake: Crawls, eels, bites, is poisonous, is cunning, hides, waits for the right moment.

A pigeon: Alert, stays at a distance, flies away easily, sensitive, notices everything, wants a quiet environment, peacefull.

In the kingdom of God for and saved souls, all this can be used for that cause and much more. These are opportunities we can use forever, and be a servant of Jesus Christ. So it is not a small option. This makes me think of all the possibilities. But we must be aware of and end up in the salad once in a while as well. :)

Dear "Bridgette Bradley", know that a Warrior is the strongest, the one who attacks and defends. The one who goes out first to meet the enemy. That's a big thing. To become this warrior, you must fill yourself with the Scriptures every day. Watch and pray in time and out of time. Be patient and strong because you do not get the prayer answers the way you want. You can often see the answers from a distance. And then the thanksgiving becomes great.

Joshua and Paul's letters have strategic war plans and are important in this gift. Be happy with what you have received, this is a very important gift. In the warrior task, almost all gifts lie latent. Try next time and use them when you go to church meetings. What can be difficult is to get a chance to speak. Pray that the Lord will make an opening for you. Keep praying for the people around you. Then of course in silent prayer. If you have been given another language, pray incessantly in that language. Good luck there is a gift that will build you up a lot. The Lord Jesus has not and will never leave you, look here!

Hi Tom. This is a very short account in Matthew 11:1-6 which has brought up different views of what had taken place in the prison. I feel that more information would have given more light on the matter to be able to make a proper judgement.

One view is that it was John's disciples that were in doubt of Jesus, why Jesus had more disciples than John, or maybe doing a work inconsistent with that of the expected Messiah. So John wanted them to go out for themselves & learn & be convinced.

However, in my reading of the passage, I can't help but think that it was actually John himself who began having doubts, given his miserable position & condition in prison. Why wouldn't Jesus come to him, perform a miracle to secure his release, rather than spending so much time with the people, could be a question on his mind. Or, maybe over such a long period, John was being persuaded while in prison to entertain unnatural questions in his mind - sometimes a lengthy period of confinement, with various depravations & abuse, might cause one to have doubts & fears. We just don't have enough information to know exactly what John was thinking or feeling & how the evil one might have been having his way with him.

As to the prophets, they spoke as the Spirit of the Lord directed them, but as you wrote, that John was "filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb". Can such an one entertain doubts & fears? Maybe for a man under harsh conditions, there would have been a spiritual conflict going on & he needed a confirmation from witnesses to strengthen his spirit & his resolve. To all this I can't be certain and I hope you can get other views on this difficult passage.

I agree with some of your points, but not your main conclusions. Here is an example: "Christians cannot work for money( Matthew 6:24)". Here two different things are conflated. The verse says you can't serve two masters. At the end it says you can't both serve God and mammon or weatlth. This verse is true of course and I fully believe it. For context you can read verse 21- where your heart is. It's talking about not money itself being evil, but your heart serving and slaving money... like making it a false god or idol.

Along the same theme I noticed you suggested that the root of evil is money, but that's also not what it says. The Bible says the "love" of money is the root of all kinds of evil. So we should not love it.

So, its not the product that is bad, but the condition of the heart that makes it bad. This is the same for many other sins, for example: idolatry, greed, lust, coveting, lying, hating ones neighbor or father or mother. These sins occur from conditions of the heart, not objects. This is supported by the life of Jesus as he had a job and worked as a carpenter. He make something of value to society and likely traded that for things He needed for living such as food, shelter, clothing. Likely there was a unit of currency used as a convenience for trade and currency is not inherently bad as it facilitates more accurate trade- otherwise its hard to trade 1/10 a house for 1/2 a horse, for example. There is no indication that Jesus grew food himself, or made His own clothes, or was 100% self sufficient, so it is a fairly safe assumption that Jesus traded and bought and sold to meet needs.

Matthew 22:19 - 22:22 - Jesus asked to see the money and said Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's. He was for being a good steward of resources: Luke 14: 28-30, and the parable of the talents seems pro-investing. God bless.

I dont work for money.

I have never been endangered by responding to the nudge of the Holy Spirit. I'm just an ordinary believer; not rich or poor. I have enough, and to spare with another.

Ive seen what some children do with a deceased parents belongings. It makes sense to me to give it to someone who would enjoy it.

Giving, always gives me deep joy. I live near a huge orphanage. I take them good reusable items to sell in their onsite store. The proceeds are used for store bought necessities for the orphans (all ages). A lot of people do. I support Salvation Army because they give things to people who are flooded or burned out of their homes. It makes me happy to know "someone" gets new dishes or new sets of pots and pans; sheet sets.

I had a home burn up. For years I'd look for things and realize they got burned up. My sweet neighbors saved my pets (I was at work when it burned)

Many homeless aren't fakers. It's painful to be hungry and people look away. If I'm going downtown I take 6 Turkey sandwiches and 6 bags of chips and cookies. At least I know they got a good lunch. I can't cure homelessness, but I can fill an empty belly. Look for the ones who are skinny and have pain etched in their faces; or a kid who shouldn't have to be hungry.

Just to take this further, Jim. I'm assuming that you're referring to Luke 3:38: "Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God." To remain true to the original language, the phrase "the son" (wherever it appears in the reading), is not shown in Greek. Rather, it would read, "...of Enos, which was of Seth, which was of Adam, which was of God"; as it would similarly read for the others in that passage.

From research, one can learn that in these verses (vv24-38), the Greek word 'tou' (with the genitive) means 'belonging to'; though in Luke 3:22,23, the word 'Son' is definitely used. Why the translators chose to add "the son of" is known only to them, though I suspect that in almost all cases there was a clear line of humanity (of 'begetting') which they carried through to the beginning, that of Adam. And the fact that "the son" is shown in italics, indicates that they understood that it wasn't in the original language.

With that aside, the 1 Corinthians chapter 15 reference by the apostle, was to show that though both Adam & Christ were alike in their 'coming' from God, their origins were totally different. Adam was created from the dust of the earth - Christ created into humanity by the Spirit of God ( Luke 1:35). The first was a product of the earth - the second a product from Heaven. True, Jesus was humanly formed & birthed & that was so, for His Coming was to be understood from the Davidic line, fulfilling the prophecies that went before Him & of course, to lay down His Life as a Sacrifice for all.

Then to assert that "Adam is also God", would be false, as there was nothing about Adam's creation to indicate that another god was produced & then fell. But for Jesus, His Coming was from God's Presence & Being - entitling Him to be called the Son of God & also worshipped.

I took ample time to show numerous verses that clearly say Jesus is God and you deny it. It sounds like your heart is closed based on your response. That is between you and God. No amount of dialog between us will likely change your mind. So, I will wish you well because you are putting your hope and trust that verses like John 1:1 are wrong. It says Jesus (the Word) is God and you believe Jesus is "not" God. It sounds like you are reading it with your own premise, THEN finding and interpreting scripture to fit your premise, rather than starting with reading scripture first with an blank slate THEN praying for understanding. Every one of your points above are answered by just reading the Bible without any filters or bias.

While I appreciate respectul dialog up to this point, what I don't appreciate is a disingenious comment such as this "you totally ignored it." This is false. I didn't ignore anything. To try to figure out what you accused me of "ignoring" I now scrolled up to a higher comment where you posted a verse to someone else. Of course your same assumption of "ignoring" could be said about you, because you didn't respond to each of the verses like John 1:1 that I actually replied to you, not to someone else like you did.

You also didn't respond to my question to you if you've prayed about this? Have you prayed to know the truth about Jesus and have you felt any confirmation or anything in your heart as a response? John the Baptists, was a cousin of Jesus Christ, according to scriptures. John was it who Baptized Jesus in Jordan. John was sent to be the forerunner of Jesus the Christ.

John said that Jesus is the incarnated Word of God, bringing "grace and truth," replacing the law given by Moses, and making God known in the world.

Howbeit, when John was imprisoned, he send his disciples to ask Jesus; if he was the one (Messiah)? The one who it is to: "Save Israel from their sins, and bringing them to God."

Question is: "What prompted John, to inquire if Jesus, was the one? Wasn't John filled with the Spirit to discern Jesus was the sent Messiah? Does Spirit filled prophet of God, know not the operation of the spirit?

I need Jesus every second, of every minute, of every hour each new day. For sin in me wants what is not of God the Father. Without Jesus beside me, then what matters in this sinful world. Let not the hours be wasted on self, let His commandments guide and protect us and all who follow the Ways of Christ our Kingsman Redeemer. Jesus must be our all in all forevermore.

Amen, David. A good reminder to stay faithful to Scripture and stay prayerful in all circumstances. Being in tune with the Holy Spirit to be aware of His promptings to intercede with His assistance and participation.

For me, I am becoming more and more conscious of how I spend my time and weeding out fruitless activities not because I don't think I should have those that I enjoy, but because I want to be more delighted with those things that God calls me to do than whatever my hobbies may be or what I find that pleases me. It is fine to have these things, but not to be consumed by them. I guess I could say that I am in a "purging" season in my life.

James 1:21 here we are taught the message that the soul is saved by faith with works, the Apostle James writes teaches three commandments, the first is to lay aside all filthiness, number two is to lay aside an abundance of wrong doing, the third is to receive with meekness, the Ten Commandments that was written in the heart of every Christian, for this is able to save out souls. This appears to be the same theology that the Lord Jesus taught the Lawyer in Luke 10:25-28 when he answered the question on how to inherit eternal life, Jesus said keep the Ten Commandments written in the heart and you shall live.

Good evening Christopher, I agree that the sin against the Holy Spirit is blapshemy. Many people give differing explanations of what such blasphemy is. I have been taught and by my study of Scripture, like you said, is attributing the works of the Holy Spirit to demons or Satan.

I do not think that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is not believing the truth or knowing the truth and rejecting it because of the story of the prodigal son. He knew His Father and rejected the life the Father offered him and went the way of the world. He did repent and returned to a Father who forgave Him and rejoiced over him. This story tells me that people may stray from their belief in Jesus or reject the faith they were brought up in, but can be given repentance from God and turn back and be forgiven.

Also, the Israelites were told again and again to turn back to the Lord, and again and again the Israelites did repent and God accepted their repentance time and time again. With three sons who were brought up in the faith and believed in Jesus and all three having gone the way of the prodigal, I cannot say that they would not be forgiven or unable to turn back to God. These Scripture accounts tell us otherwise. Therefore I have hope for them and tell them that there is hope for anyone to turn back to God and be forgiven and restored back to faith.
