Bring every thought captive unto the obedience of Christ
  • Suze - In Reply - 3 years ago
Thank you George , I was taught as a child that suicides go to hell and that it's a sin . The story of Samson seems to refute this theory and I can't find any evidence in the Bible to back it up . The world we live in is often a horrible place , full of injustice and cruelty and serious suffering for many people . As Christians we have enormous comfort and a well of strength and precious promises to look forward to and to get us through the trials of this life . However , I remember what my life was like before I knew the truth . We need to always be kind to none Christians and patient with their weaknesses , remembering that they are in this world with no idea what's coming and therefore they are in the world without hope or consolation or comfort in the way that we have .

Amen, come Lord Jesus Come. Be ready everyone for Jesus Coming Soon! Wake up you who are asleep, leap forward you who can not walk, read the scriptures and open your eyes. Look at Jesus do not lose Him in your sight.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.

    Amen.

Stay blessed in His Holy Name Above all other names! John 10 and 11.

Dear all i so agree here, think America has given and sacrificed a lot over the years. And lost so many human lives to war and unrest around the world. When we now see NATO countries working together to try for a peace arrangement. And nothing is heard from the east side. Dear friends, we can not go against this with a rifle and a knife. cnn had some horrible pictures yesterday of a cannon. (Larger half moon :O). We have weapons on earth to and annihilate it completely!

That is why we can not react to this. We now see that the east will expand its borders. If this is the case, we can not move. We wait and see. But if the east should extend further west now. Will there be resistance. From the sovereign countries themselves and perhaps those they are allied with. But nato is in a pinch that hurts and comes out of. The limit has been reached, unfortunately! Know this dear friends in America. Ukraine gets a lot of help from the surrounding countries. Here are even private people travel out there to help. Something the authorities advise against. Because the border fences around Europe are growing. Europe wants control over who travels across national borders. This has biblical character!

USA is a large country with many parts. You speak the same language and have pretty much the same rules.

Here in Europe, we also have many states. Few of them speak the same language: p. And all the rules are different. It may be the Nordic countries as there we have Shengen which is then an attempt to do something similar you have. Now society is put together into something big eu. Even a common currency. In this we also have a biblical picture. It may be that you in the USA want to see "the fire from her".

Continue dear friends and pray for all the people on this created earth. Go ahead and pray dear friends, pray for heads of state and all who have power. Pray for immense wisdom, in Jesus name. Do not stop preaching the word. Always be happy, give Him glory. Jesus Christ Amen.

Chris thank you taking the time to provide such a long and profound explanation. I had not considered faith as being the prime subject but with that in focus it all makes sense.

    Regards

    Revelation 21-22

    Link

Various things the Bible says will occur. People sometimes debate the order of events and particulars despite it not being a salvation issue. Mainly we are to be prepared and if we're not following Jesus then we're quite unprepared.

Hi Roy. I assume the passage you refer to is Matthew 6:25-34. I don't believe that the subject here is specifically on prayer, though that is certainly a part of it. In my understanding, the subject is rather on 'faith'. The examples that Jesus uses are that of the birds & the lilies, which are cared for & adorned by God, so that they can have no concern about the future.

In like manner, even though our physiology, our needs, & our responsibilities in this life are far more involved & advanced than birds & plants, the same principle should be applied: the principle of leaving our matters, of which we have no control, to God, the One Who has all things responsive to His Command. This is not to say that we sit by idly & await for blessings & provisions to fall to us - that won't happen, but that we work with our hands, see to the needs of the family & others, & if the Lord Will, to "establish the work of our hands upon us" ( Psalm 90:17): i.e. that God would fulfil our plans we make in accordance with His Will.

When work is going on well & a regular salary is coming in with debts being paid off, there seems no need to have faith, in light of the Matthew passage. Yet we understand that faith is expressed continually towards God, for the required health & strength to perform our work, for safety, for understanding, & for wisdom in correct apportioning of our resources. And for those with very little resources, or even none, God will reward their faith in Him, by providing their necessities in the right way at the right time. This Truth has been proven by many over the years, whether by those struggling in society, on the mission field, or being left destitute because of thieves or job loss. And here is the conflict: when such evil befalls us & we're at our lowest ebb, would we still "seek the kingdom of God & his righteousness" first? Ordinarily, No. But with the Spirit's Help, we can rise up above the misery & still demonstrate unflinching faith in a faithful God.

To answer your question study the story of Sampson then read hebrews 11:23-32. If they had faith they go to be with Jesus.

Dear Suze, Glad to pray for Anita, Bill and Melanie tonight.

Dear Father GOD, We ask You tonight to help Bill and Anita during these senior years. Their ailments are getting the better of them, so we ask that You relieve them of their pain and worry over these conditions. We ask that You bring healing for each and that the Doctors will know how to best treat them, if that is Your will. uplift their spirits with thoughts of You and Your faithfulness and grace. Be merciful to them tonight and every day. They have lived a long life. We ask that your Holy Spirit will fill them up with faith and trust in You through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Father God, we lift up Melanie and ask that You cause her to receive the best kind of treatment for her mental illness, which would be complete deliverance and healing from Your hand. Prevent her from becoming so despondent that she thinks about suicide nor attempts it ever again. Lord God, give Melanie hope in You and fill her with Your truth and peace. Cause her to be eager to learn of You more and more each day. May You be the reason she has to continue living, to see what she may discover and experience next from You. Lord, If she is in need of regeneration, we ask the Holy Spirit to make Melanie alive to You and converted! Fill her with faith to believe according to Your amazing grace. Lastly, we ask that You guide Suze and others caring for these people with wisdom, love, mercy, and grace. It is not easy to be the caregiver and watch our loved ones suffer, so help Suze and others every day as they serve these family members. And Father, we ask You, our Good Father, in the name of our Savior, Jesus. Amen.

I believe all sinners & Christians go to paradise upon death, which has a gulf in the middle of it which cannot be crossed.

A good side & a bad side, you go to one side or the other according to your believed.

look up Lazzerth & the rich man. Praise GOD.

    Cool! Well done!

    Matthew 5:43-48

"You have heard that it was said. "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy." But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. For if you love those who love your, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect."

    Romans 12:20-21

    "Therefore

'If you enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink, For so doing you will heap coals of fire upon his head.'

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

Donna, Let us know the results of the CT. I am praying for you. I am so glad to hear the D. is entering rehab! I pray that God will indeed deliver him once and for all from addiction. May he be blessed with mercy and comfort as he goes through detox and all that rehab entails. Father God, we are trusting You to answer our prayers because You are a Good Father and Jesus said that you will give good gifts to Your children when we ask. Thank You LORD God.

Reference to Mathew 28 to 34 - puzzling? what was the original intent her, if read literally Mathew is reporting JESUS to be telling the Jews that there is no need for them to do anything other than pray - surely not?

Then again how do we fit this into life two thousand years later?

    Thanks for your help

The "watchers" are those who observe the tidings and know the times they live in, most notably in the end-times. Likewise, they'll tell others of the impending doom soon to befall their camp. Ezekiel 33:1-6 Then in the next verse, Ezekiel 33:7, how can it be that Ezekiel was made watchman over the house of Israel when the house of Israel was in Assyrian captivity for 117 years?

7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

Bill, Unfortunately it means that many will turn there back on God and fall from Grace. It is important to remember that God doesn't walk away from anyone. Man has a free will and at times unfortunately chooses to use it for the wrong reason.

Dear Tammy and Nixon, I will pray for you and your husband today.

Dear God, our heavenly Father and source of all good, bring Tammy's husband back home to her with a changed heart towards her and You. Cause him to have his love for Tammy renewed and enable him to commit to this marriage in the correct way, under one roof, not two. Take away all that divides Tammy and her husband, repair the brokenness between them, and cause each one to devote themselves wholly to You. We ask these things in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
