    FREE,

    Thank you for your responses.

In response to your 1st response, I felt that further explanation was in order. This is the beauty of peaceful conversation between believers. We add to one another's knowledge and wisdom of the God in the Word. In your 1st response I realized that other believers may not be familiar with the idea of what a catechism is. It contains and teaches from Scripture the essential main doctrines (teachings/beliefs) of the Christian faith. Such instruction in these doctrines is beneficial for any believer, especially those new to faith or youth entering the time in their life where their young faith will be challenged/tested by exposure to many worldly/false ideas in multiple venues in their teen years.

FREE, I am not bothered at all that you responded to my 1st post on this thread. It pressed me to further explain my thinking to someone I know to be honest. Thank you for doing so. We "sharpen" one another with our conversations. It is a good thing.

    Jd 20-21

"But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life."

    Eph. 4:11-16

"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ, till all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: that we should no longer be children, tossed to and for and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things unto Him who is the head-Christ-from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love." Romans 8 : 3...What the law cd not do in that it was weak thru the flesh God had to send his Son in the form of sinful flesh to condemn sin in the Flesh....The law cd not address or arrest mans Adamic Nature...David comes to mind, David was a law man but the law cd not help David when he saw Bathsheba bathin...Thats y Jesus had to come and die that he might be multiplied as the Stars of heaven...That every man might get a seed a measure of faith to birth a baby Christ which is the H.G. the Child of Promise.

......That new Covenant is a birthing covenant which is the gift of God and God is no respector of persons....I will know them ALL from the least to the greatest...Thats the New Covenant,...Thats y Jeremiah 30 : 6 ...Is saying ASK YE NOW IF A MAN DOES TRAVAIL WITH CHILD..Y do i see ALL men in travail and birth pains...The Child is the H.G. The Child of PROMISE..I will pour out my spirit on ALL FLESH...But he will do that by his Word which are the contents of the Book in the Fathers Right hand that has to be opened 1st...Then the great pregnancy comes which is the woman in Rev 12...Her Child is the H.G. the Child of Promise...

.....As Jesus said unless you receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in...The Child is the result of the sower and his seed, the wheat is a baby Christ simply b/c the sower of that good seed is Christ the bridegroom...That y he has to know US. Whosoever receiveth one such child in my name receiveth ME...Plz note the Kingdom does not come till the woman gives birth nor any real salvation... Rev 12 : 10 kjv...That good seed is the LIVING WORD thus its no wonder the wheat is a baby Christ...The Children of the Kingdom....You will soon see bumper stickers on cars saying i am with Child of the H.G....As Jesus said the Kingdom of God is gonna be with in us right here on this earth...As the mystery of the Kingdom of God is Christ in you...The kingdoms of this world have become the KiNGDOMS OF OUR LORD Rev. 11

That was an interesting question that I never thought about...so did a search!

    I found this statement:

Scholars don't agree as to her identity, but she is speculated to be the daughter of Pharaoh Shoshenq 1 and that her name was Nicaule or Tashere.

And that was found on a sight called 'women in the scripture' dot com.

I can't speak for that site, since I've never used it before. But at least we both now know that there are varying opinions, and that the answer above is an 'educated guess', and not necessarily fact.

    Blessings!

The son of perdition almost without any doubt is the anti-christ. So, we know the anti-christ will not reveal himself until the rapture has happened. Jesus is going to take the church before the rapture but what will trigger the rapture to commence and the son of perdition to come? A falling away must happen. The falling away is the apostasy of the church. If the church was serving God and Holy as it was during the Philadelphia church age (think during the 19th century how you could find the Bible in everything like schools, literature, even Noah Webster's original dictionary). Today, most churches are so apostate - you can't tell the difference between them and a secular community center. The church has become lukewarm today as a whole (not Christ's body but the manner of what man has perverted into Christianity). We've been falling away as far as I can tell since the 1940's. By the 40's (if not earlier) - secularism was becoming more common in worship, new Bible versions (which remove or change the meaning of God's word) and pastors began to seek after money and spectacles rather than sole saving.

    2 Thessalonians 2:3

1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

Amazing theological in depth look into the 2nd Pharaoh and Assyrians. Although, it's not confirmed 100% that the new Pharaoh was Assyrian; it would not surprise me. How many generations of Pharaoh's came from the time of the death of Joseph until the birth of Moses? There's a very big difference between the Pharaoh who reigned and appointed Joseph and the Pharaoh during the days of Moses. To speak of the Assyrians or even to be specific - Nineveh - there's quite a history there too. I know that with Jonah it was commissioned to Jonah that some may be saved. But if you read forward, Nineveh had a certain fate before it too.

David, Your post is seven months old, yet I feel pressed to respond. President Biden and his administration are proving to be an evil empire, and calling good evil and evil good. Almost everything they've done has hurt our nation and has brought death around the world, such was Biden's failed departure from Afghanistan, and currently his lack of assistance to the people in Ukraine, while they are being attacked by Putin. I've been praying that God will raise up a Gideon's army in Ukraine that will destroy Russia's advances. I pray daily that God gives us eyes that see and ears that hear, in order we stay tuned in to God and fight against the evil that surrounds us.

    John 1:1-5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Jesus gave us the Lords Prayer as a frame so we could fit our daily prayers into each verse. He starts the prayer__OUR FATHER

So that's what I pray personally. Respectfully I say In Jesus Name at the end.

Then I pray Luke 4:18-19, and follow with Matthew 9:37-38; that I might be anointed and sent; that day.

I understand what you are saying, but not everyone on our planet has a belief in it.

The Covenant of the Land was CUT between God and Abraham; Abrahams children born ONLY with Sarah: Gods Perfect Will.

In Gods PERMISSIVE WILL, he blessed Ishmael too. It was not a covenant for any lands God set apart for Israel.

Israel's Lands (boundaries) are recorded in heaven and in the BIBLE. Look at the ancient maps of Abraham's time.

Throughout History, those boundaries have been illegally changed. God does Not Change. He personally cut the covenant Himself.

Most modern day maps of Israel deny what is recorded in the Bible: the Original Deed.

More info: God cut the covenant Himself. The Deed to the Land= Genesis 17:7:8

    Genesis 16:10-16, 17:36-21

    Genesis 21:14-18, Genes 25:12-17

    Promise & blessing on Ishmael

    Genesis 17:18-26. Story Gen. 21:16-21

    ISRAEL's SIZE TODAY=

Israel stretches 424 km (263 mi) from north to south, its width ranges from 114 km (71 miles) length, to 15 km (9.3 miles) width, at its narrowest point. *Israel and New Jersey are similar in size.

Folks, this is why the end of this fight/war__ will be fought at ARMAGEDDON__in Israel, in the the Valley of Megiddo. As it is written in the Bible, so shall it be done.

There will be NO PEACE until THE PRINCE OF PEACE returns

We're getting close to that time. "wars, rumors of wars, nations rising up against each other. Read Matthew 24, Luke 21 and the Book of Daniel, minor prophets books: if you want to know what's going to happen. If you don't read much; listen to some Nelson Walters videos on YouTube.

There's going to be 7 Seals opened; 7 Trumpets; 7 Bowls of Judgment.

The internet "thought leaders" are going to force one world currency (money system, one world government and one worldwide religion. Look for it now.

Don't be deceived. Choose Jesus NOW. Lack of food , water and fuel are signs. Somebody please preach this every day. Signs are speeding up.

    KJV Bible References=

    Jeremiah 4:16

Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.

    Daniel 4:17

This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

Watcher is a type of biblical angel. Watcher occurs in both plural and singular forms in the Book of Daniel, where reference is made to their holiness.

The APOCRYPHA of Enoch refer to both good and bad Watchers, with a primary focus on the rebellious ones.

"In the Book of Enoch, the watchers are angels dispatched to Earth to watch over the humans. They soon begin to LUST for human women and, at the prodding of their leader Samyaza, defect en masse to illicitly instruct humanity and procreate among them.

They created Human/Angel Hybrids called the Nephilim. Fallen Ones - Watchers. They are real and they were wiped out by the Flood in Noah's time.

They aren't mentioned anymore after the narrative that they created giants after lusting after women.

If you go to the book of Enoch, they are imprisoned.

You seem to be a bit obsessed with sodomy , there are very many other sins , the older you get the more you recognise them . Some are very subtle , cold heartedness , selfishness , cruelty , aggression , jealousy , vengefulness , manipulations , it's a long list . We are all sinners , maybe not sodomites but still sinners . Turning your eyes away from someone who needs your help . That's a bad one I think . We are all guilty of something pretty much everyday . If we think we aren't we are fooling ourselves , we can't fool God .

Thank you so much that was so encouraging. I am in the process of losing my mother as she is on her death bed and I can't help but think of times past but she would want me to press towards the mark and keep my focus on Jesus and the glory to come which she is about to receive. Although my life is about to change drastically as I am losing my best earthly friend your comment helped me to realize that it is ok to go on and move forward. Thank you so much for your post. Acts 18 and John 7:17 and 1 John2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

Hi Kenneth. You may be referring to Daniel chapter 4, with verses 13, 17 & 23, specifically mentioning 'watcher'. In Hebrew, the word that applies to 'watcher' isn't clear: it means a 'wakeful one', but in context, it generally refers to a being from Heaven. And in Nebuchadnezzar's dream, in line with what he saw & understood, it would have been a 'being (or, beings) from the gods that had come down - but the meaning of dream eluded him.

In Babylonian mythology, I learn that their god, Nergal, was regarded as 'manifesting himself in watching', so this dream would have been a descent & manifestation of this deity (according to his understanding). Of course, Daniel (Belteshazzar), in the interpretation of the dream, correctly applies this part of the dream to the True God Who has sent forth His Decree by the hand of an Angel (the watcher). Nebuchadnezzar needed to take note that not only would the dream, correctly interpreted by Daniel, come to pass, but it was the God of Heaven that was speaking to him & warning him. As per the dream, Nebuchadnezzar failed to acknowledge the greatness of his kingdom being given him by God, but rather took the glory for himself (v 30) & thus he suffered in humiliation & estrangement from his people. But in verses 34-37, Nebuchadnezzar returns to his senses & acknowledges the One God of Heaven.

Let us hope that your child can be like Samuel growing up with the sons of Eli. We are all "taught of God" and have our gifts and calling. The question is; if the great truths of the Bible as the Living Word are made alive to your child-and if that is indeed the case that he/she has a vision for their generation to see the truth preached. Of course you are a living example; hopefully of someone who honors God; exalts His greatness; and trusts Him and the validity of the authority of God in everyday living. It goes without saying that we often learn from others rather than our immediate family; and hear from God that way. I can kind of relate myself having a short attention span when I was young. There can be signs of discernment in youth; as well as understanding what is to come. Again; in my experience I started with the Book of Revelation as to understanding. At that age; awareness of sin at the "age of accountability" tends to set in. I guess what I am saying here is that what we want with children (although I never had any of my own); is for them to learn as we would from practice and expect them to understand the way we do. As we get older; of course to function in society and mature in the Body of Christ certain refinements need to happen. I am just suggesting that those subjects of interest are explored if; as you say perhaps Genesis is of interest. There are scientific apologists who are believers that help to validate scripture; if that angle helps attention span. Prayer and meditation becoming a real part of life may work better than rote memorization. I pray that your child can find a way to communicate with the Lord and establish a relationship there so you can have common ground for communication about the Lord. Agape; Rich P.

Satan; as you probably know from verses such as Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 was a Cherub; and acquainted with worship involving music as his talent inbred; as it were by God. He would have been one of the "sons of God" mentioned in Job before he fell; glorifying God when the earth was created. Of course Satan's own conversation quoting scriptures during the temptation after Christ had fasted 40 days in the wilderness; not to mention the things that he himself said in Genesis are recorded in the Bible. Satan is; after all "the accuser of the saints"; therefore as he accused the High Priest Joshua and the angel had to say "the Lord rebuke you"; as well as when Jude brings out the proper approach in this manner when opposing these evil principalities means we are to take our adversary seriously. Satan possessed Judas Iscariot directly when Jesus addressed him "what you do; do quickly". He also will be controlling Antichrist who is possessed by the demon from the pit; and in order to gain worship for himself will have the image of himself worshipped. Again; he knows his own doom; as surely the demons did when asking Jesus if he was sending them "before the time" to the bottomless pit. Satan has to obtain permission from God; and of course has his minions under him; who will be cast out when 1/3 of the angels fight Michael and lose. Surely Satan knows his doom; although he is apparently insane; trying everything to destroy us "accusing us day and night" (Revelation). He prowls like a "roaring lion; seeking who he may devour" (James). He is working with principalities ruling over nations; and knows that his hold over death is defeated; as now those in Christ go to be with him directly "to be absent from the body is present with the Lord." There is no longer a hold in Hades for the righteous; and Christ's victory was declared there after he died. Satan knows the Word and the twisting of it for his gain is his greatest weapon.

:8 what I have found to be of great interest is the phrase "law of thy mother" this is understood in the sayings of the Apostle Paul, who taught us in Galatians 4:21-31 that Hagar is the old covenant, meaning the Ten Commandments written in stone and Sarah is the new covenant, meaning the Ten Commandments written in the heart. Here the Law of God is referred unto as Sarah for Christians, then the apostle states Jerusalem which is above is our mother as Christians, from these two statements we can interpret what King Solomon had hidden in his dark saying. Since our mother is New Jerusalem in the third heaven, the law from our mother is the Ten Commandments written in the heart, after we have figured this out, now we can try to digest the proverb, do not forsake the law of thy mother.

There are a number of books on the subject; although other than "The two Babylons" regarding the spiritual and economic ones; the names escape me at present. There are many scriptures in the O.T. particularly in Jeremiah that seem to indicate America indeed is being referred to. The land "divided by rivers" which has a mixture of people or a melting pot is indicated. It seems that people in the land were said to know the Lord; and yet the occult is something present simultaneously. Revelation itself seems to show that the fornication and great wealth was the history of Babylon; as well as a military might "the hammer of the earth". We currently have over 800 military bases worldwide; and the fact that we have suffered no direct war on our mainland except for the 911 event may make some think we are indestructible. But we have fomented pornography and violence through the internet to the world; as well as established occultic symbolism in Wash. D.C. with the design of the Pentagon; the Washington Monument and the street grid. NYC clearly is an economic hub and it appears that ever rising stocks in the last generation are vastly overdue for a fall. The whole world economic system is tied into our trade (i.e. stock exchange) which truly would wail at the downfall. There is; of course the one world religion planned for Abu Dhabi as well s a city 30 times bigger with drones than NYC. The Pope is behind this; as well as the Temple being rebuilt by Turkey; and Saudi Arabia. So there could be multiple locations; and worldwide ramifications wherever Babylon is. Our country is; however divided by rivers unlike those parts of the world we have MANY waters; and coastlines. Merchants of Tarshish (Spain); and the young lions thereof in the isles could be vague references to the USA as well having come from England.
  • Richard H Priday on Judges 21 - 3 years ago
This most depressing section of scripture; from Judges 19 thru 21 can be best summarized in the last verse of chapter 21- "In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did that which was right in his own eyes."

Chapter 19 gives the miserable story of a man and his servant traveling with what had become his wayward concubine. Such a tradition of concubines was never really mentioned by God; it apparently was tolerated although hardly sanctioned as a marriage covenant was; or even as multiple wives was recognized despite the many troubles ensuing from such relationships. In any case; as we get to chapter 20; there is a narrative almost identical to that of Sodom; where the men decide to want to have relations with other men; and the "collateral damage" ends up being the concubine. This time there is no angelic reprieve and she is raped by multiple men; and left dead at the man's doorstep. The act of these "men of Belial" who are either a subset of the Benjamites themselves or integrated into their community bring the wrath of the rest of Israel after the concubine is cut into twelve pieces and sent out to the tribes. It is clear with the great casualties on both sides that it was not like the battles of old; although Israel was declared to have eventual victory; probably because of this tolerance of the Sodomites in the land. This left the perdicament of chapter 21 where it was promised no women would be given as wives to the Benjamites from other tribes. This left the kidnapping routine during a festival dance as the only way to obtain a wife for them. This is truly a sad period of time in Israel.

    Hi Dan.

I'm not sure the emphasis is on Gods name.

The emphasis is on Gods possession in his people.

Exodus 4:22-23. And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me:...

    Also:

    "Prophetic."

Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.

They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: FOR I AM A FATHER TO ISRAEL, and Ephraim is my firstborn. Jeremiah 31:8-9.

Israel was to be set apart.

    Exodus 19:5.

2 Chronicles 7:10-16. And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the LORD had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.

Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.

And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.

    If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

    God bless.
