Thanks for the information i just seen about the daughter fue days ago and there is a progression to it starts with a certain women then to somebody has touch me to a daughter she went from a nobody to somebody to the daughter of God Almighty. God has been having me to look at this woman as pic of all mankind who has a blood disease (sin)from Adam and everyone is dieing the second from it spiritual death. Jairus daughter was dying pic of you and me and this woman before we heard of Jesus no physician or no amount of money can heal this blood issue. To me jesus is giving us a living parable here unless this blood issue is brought to him and he gives you a blood transfusion you will not be raised from the dead. She was healed Immediately when we ask Jesus to save us we are healed from Adam's inherited blood issue (sin) immediately and will be raised from the dead. Then he said to jairus daughter Damsel Arise. What do you think of this point of view ? I am still studying on it and would like your input on it i have only been studying the Bible about 4 years and I know thats not long when it comes to the work of God thanks and may God bless you and your family always

Thank you for those references & thoughts Jeanie. I understand the requirement in the Exodus account & when I read the Luke account ( Luke 2:25-35), I seem to see a different picture. I realize that you see Simeon as a priest of the Temple, presenting to God the child Jesus. Why I balk at this is because we're first told that Simeon was a devout man in Jerusalem. Then, by the Spirit, he was led to the Temple to see this Promised One. And here is the difficulty: Joseph & Mary brought the Child to the Temple, to follow the custom of the Law (i.e. consecration). But was Simeon the priest or was there another priest, already serving at the Temple to carry out this duty? When we read the rest of Simeon's action & words, it appears to me that they weren't one of consecration, but of praise to God for allowing him this blessing of seeing the Child. And when Jesus' parents marvelled at Simeon's prophecy, Simeon blessed them (i.e. the parents) & continued with a prophecy.

I just share the above so that you can see why I have doubts about Simeon's priestly position. He could well have been (as you say), but in my reading, the narrative causes me to doubt that & I just see him as a godly man looking for the Messiah, hoping to have a glimpse of him before he passes on.

This is call First Born Consecrated.

In Luke they went into a temple and Simon took the Child to presented him to God. So Simon must have been a priest. Only a priest can do offerings and presentions to God.

Catholics and other Christians as well as the Jewish religion celebrates PASSOVER.

Do we need to celebrate it for salvation? No. It is to remind us of the power and love of God for All his children.

Yes there are others who do practice Passover.

Passover celebrates the time God help the Israelites escape from Egypt.

Passover was the result of the last plague God sent on the people..

God told Moses to tell the people to spread Lamb's blood over the doorways of their houses. Death was sent to kill the first born in the area but death had to PASSOVER the doors with blood on it. Many Egyptians died and that is why Pharaoh let the Israelites leave.

An omer is about 9 1/2 cups (2.3 liters). As I read these instructions, I think about the Lord's Prayer Jesus gave us ( Matt. 6:9-13).

In this prayer we ask God for our daily bread. And John 6:32-51, where He speaks of being the Bread of Life that came down from heaven. This chapter speaks how the Israelites ate manna in the desert and still died, but not so for those who eat the Bread of Life, Jesus.

Anyone who did not obey the instructions concerning manna had an unpleasant experience but God chose not to punish them severely. He was merciful to the disobedient and fickle Israelites. The manna was unique, one of a kind food, which does not exist in the natural world. YHWH fed the Israelites with manna and, I thin, quail, throughout the 40 years of wandering. But even so, Jesus said, man does not live on bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. It was better for the Israelites to believe God and His Word than to go with human reason and save more manna than can be eaten in a day. The fact that the manna kept to the next day bred worms and was inedible yet this was not so for the manna gathered the day before to be kept over night for the Sabbath demonstrates this Scripture well. ( Matt. 4:4)

Relying on God day to day is the way we are to live our life. Not consumed with "always stocking up just in case" or being so frugal that one cannot enjoy the blessings of God that one receives by trusting Him. We are to be wise and certainly saving or putting up food is a good thing, but not to a point of compulsion to where one trusts in his one ability to provide today and also for the future. This daily provision also reminds us that we should be satisfied that God provides what is necessary for life, not riches, gold, silver, mansions, largess of any kind. We should be content with what God provides and seek the riches and treasure we have in .

This chapter seems to introduce the Sabbath command. Is this the first time?

The reason Saul got mad because in the song the woman said Saul killed THOUSANDS and David killed TENS OF THOUSANDS. She gave David a bigger honor in front of the whole court. This is when Saul started hated David. He also realized God was with them.

They are poor in spirit because they do not have God in their lives.

I feel psalms 37:1-6 explains it really well. In this one he is telling everyone if someone is hurting, misusing you, lying, cheating, if you feel hopeless these are the poor in Spirit. We must go to God for help. There is so much on this subject it is a beautiful promise from our Heavenly Father. He promises that if you are poor in spirit and go to him and follow him you will be in the Holy Kingdom of God. (Ya!)

Don't worry. The longer we spend in our Faith, the more our Father will reveal to us through His Holy Spirit.

I have heard and/or read many scripture that never seemed to make sense. After reading more of the Bible the Holy Spirit provided new wisdom and knowledge. To include discernement and understanding. We can read the Bible 100 times and still not fully understand all of the scripture.

Read the Bible with a soft heart and open mind. Your understanding, is coming.

I prefer KJV to any other but also reference the NIV.

May God pull you strongly to Him through His Holy Spirit!

This is another amazing chapter in which the glory of the LORD appears in the cloud and speaks to the Moses, God provides daily food for the Israelites, even after they murmur against Moses and complain; and Moses instructs the Israelites about gathering the manna throughout the week.

The chapter begins with the Israelites leaving verdant Elim, with the 12 wells (one for each tribe to have plenty of water) and 70 trees, providing shade and respite from the harsh wilderness heat. (Remember that originally 70 Israelites went to Egypt during the famine) They traveled into the wilderness of Sin (Sin was the name of the Mesopotamian moon god) They had been traveling for 1 1/2 months. The Israelites hungered though they had lots of livestock; but perhaps, no grain left to make bread. They began to murmur and complain to Moses, saying that they had it much better in Egypt in bondage than here in freedom with YHWH. They even said that it would have been better if they had died in Egypt than to be taken out into this wilderness and be killed by YHWH. What an affront to the true God who had already delivered them with multiple miracles. But just like when they murmured about not having water to drink, God provided sweet water at Marah and plentiful water at Elim.

YHWH speaks to Moses about the manna from heaven and the quail overrunning the camp. Moses instructs Aaron to speak to the whole group. And as promised in vs. 7 the glory of YHWH appears in the cloud and He speaks to Moses (vs. 10). How was this appearance different from simply the pillar of cloud by day and fire by night? When Moses saw the burning bush the text said that the Angel of the LORD was within the fire. So, perhaps this same Angel of the LORD appeared in the cloud since this theophany spoke audibly to Moses. The LORD gives more instructions to Moses for the people concerning the Manna. These instructions are then given to the whole congregation.

Good question, if i understand correctly. You are speaking of the elect or chosen, as spoken of in Revelations 7. The 144,000 sealed, elect, from the 12 tribes.

Hi Margo! If you look up the word 'poor' in a concordance, you'll find it can also be translated, "reduced to beggary; begging; asking for alms; lowly; afflicted; powerless to accomplish an end; needy."

One who is poor in spirit is one who has been made to realize his or her absolute emptiness, destitution, neediness, helplessness.

Only when by God's grace we are brought to see our true condition as entirely poverty stricken spiritually, and in total need of the free gift of Christ's atoning work and righteousness; only as we see our utter helplessness and inability to save ourselves will be fly to Christ as our Savior and our All in all. Being 'brought low' by God's grace is a big gift from His heart and hand! :) It is great to be, in ourselves, 'nothing' - so that Christ can be Everything!

Two answers; yes some know that the are giving false doctrines. Here are some places in the bible you can fine this answer.

God made it clear do not add and/or subtract his words and many preachers do.

Also check out 1 Timothy 6:3-10

It describes false preachers. Some have good intentions but their proud and envy stops them from the truth. Many false preachers pander to the flock even change the word so they will not leave.

A true preacher CAN NOT DO IT BY THEMSELVES. They have to have the Holy Spirit with and in them.

It appears Des, that jealousy was at the root of Saul's anger. Saul, as Israel's King, always received the people's praises & obeisance, but now this young unknown lad, a shepherd at that, could snatch away the King's glory by defeating the Philistine champion & many others during the chase. Saul was probably overjoyed in the victory that day & that 'thousands' slain by him was a great acknowledgement, but then to hear the songs & dances also directed to David for 'his tens of thousands slain' was too much for him to bear in silence. He might have even thought that if David could garner such praise, would his own throne now become precarious? Thus he "eyed David from that day and forward" (v 9).

Hello Free, I have mentioned before here that likely the beasts are when the people of God look to governments of time and times past as their power and witness, for example possible unified baptism or nationalism or both. This form of power becomes a right to buy or sell for the preservation of some that once were free indeed. When we bought the field did we not sell all that we had? It is possible that the times of tribulation are upon believers now and a falling away is in process. These thoughts are meditations for me too.

I have heard the phrase interpreted several different ways.

I think that it refers to someone who is humble before God and willing to serve others. Also, someone who recognizes their sorrowful sinful estate and looks to God for remedy. Another angle is that it refers to a state of mind that is not prideful, haughty, arrogant, or conceited, therefore having a measured self view. Not one of hating self, or putting one's self down, but of not having too high of view of self and willing to put other's needs before their own, as opposed to having self-interest at the forefront.
