Romans 1:1. "Paul", a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

    God bless.

Jesus leave us, with His garments placed articulate , purposely, for He wishes us to know ,what he has done. That the garments are separated from the Napkin, too show us of His determination to do, and fill up the works of God! Absolutely amazing! He has conquered death and continues to proclaim His Glory found in the Father!!!! Repent and be Baptized!

Many think Melchisedec is a pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus Christ. The passage in Genesis about Melchisadec taken just by itself does not give a clear indication of this:

Genesis 14:18-20 - 18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. 19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: 20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

The primary basis for thinking Melchizedek is Christ is a result of the way the author of the Book of Hebrews interprets this passage to show the superiority and primacy of Christ's High Priesthood over the Levitical High Priesthood in connection with the Messianic Psalm of David, Psalm 110, particularly Psalm 110:4

4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

The primary passages in Hebrews dealing with Christ's High Priesthood are:

    Hebrew 3:1-10, Hebrews 4:14-16, Hebrews 5, Hebrews 6:20, Hebrews 7.

Hebrews 7:1-3 is the most important passage to consider:

1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; 3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

One view of vs 3 is that Melchisedek is a man who lived and died, but the author of Hebrews is using the mystery/absence of this info to liken him to Christ in His preincarnate state. The other is that this actually is Christ in His preincarnate state, but He appeared as a man like He ultimately did to reveal Himself as Son of God for us in order to become our High Priest.

Who is 3:22 is the Lord referring to when he mentions that Adam has become as one of us? This is the second time since I began reading Genesis that I've noticed a comment like this.

    Gifted the Ministry of Reconciliation

    by our Lord,

    it's quite simple.

    And meant for everyday use.

    Recipe:

    1 Corinthians 6

    Matthew 22

    Procedure:

Three (3) people are seated at table -

    including least esteemed member (LEMC)

    of church.

    [ Doesn't work with just two. ]

    LEMC asks one question iteratively,

"Is this behavior loving toward this person?"

Discard behaviors for which response is 'no'.

Continue together in love & charity.

    End.

Hi Ojo , I think if you read the whole chapter of Mark Ch 10 , it will all become clear to you , especially from V 13-30 . Sometimes , if you read a verse that you don't understand , just keep reading to the end of the chapter and the answer will be in there , waiting for you to discover it . The Bible poses many questions , it also gives you the answer to those questions if you just keep reading . Patience is the key , keep reading , the Old Testament and the New , every day and it will all come together for you , if you still don't get it , then come on here and ask . May God bless your efforts to grow closer to Him .

    Hi Richard.

    I'm editing my previous statement.

    I stated;

"God foreknew the they would stumble when he made the promises and covenant. That's why he performed the covenant with Abraham alone."

I was meaning he went into an unconditional covenant with Abraham, and God performed it alone, so he put Abraham in a deep sleep.

    God bless.

The answer I was taught as a child in Sunday School was that Cain's offering was inadequate because it wasn't an animal. The idea underlying this is that for an offering to be acceptable to God it had to be a blood sacrifice.

hat are the fruits of God-given wisdom?

To aid Christians in their walk before the Lord, God-given wisdom is made available to them, wisdom whose "fruit is better than fine gold" ( Prov 8:19 ), and the Holy Spirit develops within Christians the fruit of "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control" ( Gal 5:22-23 ).

1 Corinthians 1:18-31 is such a glorious portion of Scripture, contrasting worldly wisdom compared to that of Christ, Who is made to us wisdom! I am excited for you, because as you ask, seek, and knock, you will find Jesus and refreshment in His Word! He truly does reward diligent, sincere seekers with the gift of Himself! God bless you!

Hi Nsemeke. I share the following to help you understand this Book of Philemon when you read it, rather than do a verse-by-verse exposition. I hope the following will help you.

This Book is the most personal of all of Apostle Paul's letters. Like the other Prison letters that we have in the Bible, this too was written by Paul when he was confined in a Roman prison at the first. Onesimus is one of millions of slaves that were used & often badly treated in the Roman Empire, but sadly Onesimus did great wrong & stole from his master, Philemon, & to make matters worse, he ran away knowing what could happen to him. Eventually he made his way to Rome where he crossed paths with Paul & Paul led him to faith in Christ (v10).

Now, as a Christian, Onesimus had a new problem: he had to do his Christian duty & return to his master. And since death was mandatory for such a crime (don't know whether Christian masters carried this out), Paul took the initiative to write this deeply personal letter, interceding on Onesimus' behalf. And this is also an important letter to other Christians who had slaves (more like bond-servants) concerning their relationship to their slave-brothers in Christ, if they had any. In Colossians 4:1 we see another instance of employing slaves by Christians.

Paul didn't want to deny Philemon's rights over Onesimus, but wanted him to deal with him as a brother in Christ (v16). So sincere was Paul, that he even offered to pay back what Onesimus had stolen (vv18,19). We don't know the outcome, but it's possible that Philemon did give Onesimus his freedom & sent him back to Paul (v14 is how this verse is translated). Ignatius of Antioch, in his letter to the Ephesians, mentions that Onesimus later became a minister & then a bishop (a leading elder) of the Church at Ephesus. He was an outstanding example to them in his love & Christian qualities. All this showing us, how wonderfully God can change even the vilest of us into mighty tools in His Hands.

Revelation 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

From my translation it says in a footnote about the impurity of adultery on earth. So that translation also explains my thoughts.

Unfortunately, i can not see what you are aiming for somewhere from your referrals, but they speak to me! But have God's peace and do not be terrified in your heart. For some are slow you know. By all means you may be right, he who lives will see.

I am not saying now that the prophets did not speak the truth, but only to emphasize that Isaiah lived 700 years before Christ. And all the things he writes about were also about what was close at the time. We know how things went with Babylon.

I understand you too, dear friend but the United States is not Babylon. (i read and understand Babylon was Iran / Iraq a few years ago and they are God's Enemies from then until now). But since evil and fornication have come to through the world and the people who live in it, (we do) the Prophet also speaks here to every living person. Where self-denial and greed live and mm.

The good thing about the Day of Judgment sermon is that someone turns to faith from dead works to faith in the living God Jesus Christ who went through heaven for you and me and everyone else.

At the same time, those who do not understand the doomsday sermon will think they are lost for the rest of their days and that there is no hope. We must never forget the wars that have taken place, not even Nagasaki and Hiroshima. But we must aim at the Heavenly Land where Jesus Christ Is. And that all living things are the work of God.

Be blessed by God in the name of Jesus, love you in Christ. Feel free to follow me in Mark 15.

from the New Revised Standard Version:

    New Revised Standard Version

The king and his men marched to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, who said to David, "You will not come in here, even the blind and the lame will turn you back"-thinking, "David cannot come in here."
