Cain was a rebellious and proud man. He wanted to do things his own way - not God's. God asked for first fruits and gave was he was willing to discard instead. His brother Abel, on the other hand, had a God-seeking heart. He was willing to obey The Lord's commands and brought the prescribed sacrifice of his best for the Lord. Cain harbored hatred, deceit, and anger in his heart. He gave in to his passions and greed. His sacrifice and lack of repentance after God personally chastised him exposes his sinful heart. If Cain had accepted God's correction, God would have forgiven him.
When God asks us to do things a certain way, we must obey Him without question. However, God is not looking for obedience out of fear of punishment (though fear is the beginning of wisdom), God is looking for us to want to obey because we love Him supremely, above all things.
I pray this response finds you well and answers your question. Be blessed ing Christ!
Very true, Love is the greatest of all from the Spirit; if the Church focussed on exercising that towards God & one another, the gathering of believers would be immensely different & patterned to how Christ intended for His Church to function. But other issues & problems creep in & the foundation of Love is eroded, sometimes totally broken up. But restoration & healing are always available when sin is identified & the Lord's Face is sought in sorrow & humility.
The guy is tired and dehydrated from non-stop reporting-and there's a couple of swear words. Please skip that video.
There are numerous videos of countries being dynamited to build the new Silk Road. I was amazed.
I've never heard this reported on in national news media.
I rejoice tho; Jesus is so close now. We have to pray more for the lost.
If you are referring to the religion of Judaism these verses answer that:
John 14:6, Acts 4:12, John 3:16
Only those who believe and follow Jesus will receive salvation. This who reject Jesus should not expect salvation.
God bless...
The only scripture I ran across that gives a description of the glorified Jesus Christ in Revelation 1:12-17. And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
Now if you would have seen him you would probably run. Just kidding.
I don't believe it was meant for us to put a great emphasis on the way he looked, Just what he came to do!!
But we do know he was a Jew.
God bless.
We have to keep grounded in what the Bible says about the End of Days. I think that means that Darkness in the world will increase. We see that. See what you think.
I found some news on YouTube concerning ties between Russia and China; building a road up to Russian. Is being built. First hurdle was to take over Ukraine and then surrounding countries.
Search these 2 videos and look at the maps:
1. ETIM and the BRI-(China)
2. Chinas Trillion Dollar Plan to Dominate
There's more stories, but I almost threw up just reading those. Because you can see Russias aim to use all means to accomplish their plans.
Thank God that in the Book of Daniel, Russia's ancient name, (GOG, Magog) gets nuked by God.
I'm sick because no one on this planet realizes those countries are serious and there is no where for all the displaced people to go. They have plans to invade Israel too!! We know how that's going to go.
Nelson says, like Joseph in Egypt, he stored 3 years of food for the famine to come. Maybe we should too, that's all I'm saying. Food is more important than vacations.
Thank God for his mercies and faithfulness, He keeps his promises!
God foreknew the they would stumble when he made the promises and covenant. That's why he performed the covenant with Abraham alone.
And he said, Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?
And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.
And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.
And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.
And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.
And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not their's, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.
And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: Genesis 15:8-18.
God bless you and all you do.
You must have the ability the put the end times in perspective by trumpets, or you will be contextually confused. It's not hard to do. Focus on the last 3 trumpets that are for our generation, as this generation will not pass before the fulfillment. The 4 previous trumpets were WWI, WWII, Korea & Vietnam, and are past.
5th trumpet = 9-11-01 "war on terror" was Revelation 9:1-11 The scripture and date look almost identical, they are identifiable and by no mistake. Our esoterical owners picked that date for a reason, because it fits prophesy. Look at vs 4:
4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
The US army, like locust, swarmed the ME to kill Muslims (no seal in foreheads) and didn't hurt green things (no green things in desert).
*THIS IS WHERE WE ARE PROPHETICALLY, WAITING ON THE 6TH SEAL* = Rev 6:14 attack/scroll, then Rev 6:12 earthquake kicks off the day of the Lord, vs 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
6th Trumpet = the day of the Lord attack on Mystery Babylon and the Babylon System. This begins anti-Christs rule of 42 months rule.
The attack is so powerful that it knocks the earth off its axis, Isaiah 24:20. The earth is ruined from the beast destroying Babylon, 900 US bases worldwide. As a result, the moon and stars won't give their light 1/3rd the day. The Russian beast and China false prophet will bitterly fight each other with their "flying fiery serpent" (nuclear devices), Isaiah 14:29.
7th trumpet = This beast infighting will cause Jesus Messiah to return to earth to stop the fragmented beast army from completely destroying the earth. So, Jesus has a definite reason for intervening, and defeating all armies. This begins the 1,000 year reign of transfigured Christ, having a new name that only He knows.
As a result, the creatures also share in the reign of Christ and the fulfillment of the promised hope of His Spirit of adoption in us.
The way I wrote that implies the creature reigns and in all ways would be the same as those that receive the adoption as sons, which would be wierd and Paul does not teach that. I did not intend to say that. Even if I had changed the word share to benefit or something else, I should not have asserted this statement or most of what I said with such certainty. Paul's words were:
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
I should have just quoted the full Romans passage and said it potentially has application to the question with much less commentary. Looking back at what I wrote and reading through the full passage more carefully I admit I did a rather slipshod and overstated exegesis of it.
Here's the requested scriptures.
Genesis 4:4-7 (KJV) And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
Hebrews 11:4 (KJV) By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
Welcome to the site and
God bless.
The scripture says. By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. Hebrews 11:4.
Now faith comes by hearing the word of God.
"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17.
So apparently they were instructed to offer what Abel offered which we find in Genesis 4:4.
"And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:"
This was a sacrifice pointing to the Lord Jesus Christ, who would later come and be a sacrfice for the whole world. John 1:29. "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."
Faith comes by hearing the word, so apparently Adam may have preached this to them, Abel demonstrated his faith by his offering. "Obedience and belief in what he was commanded to do.
Cain demonstrated unbelief by disregarding and disbelieving in what he was told.
Look at Gods response to Cain.
"But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him." Genesis 4:5-7.
Under the old covenant they offered up sacrifices pointing to one to come (Jesus).
The death of Christ ended that Covenant. read Hebrews 9:13-20.
Now we offer up ourselves.
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Romans 12:1.
I hope that helps.
God bless.
If you look at 1Samuel 16:1-13,
Notice they didn't invite David to the special dinner, yet : 1Samuel 16:11, "And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, there yet remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said to Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down til he come hither"
& 1Samuel 16:13 "Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward." ._..
This was lived by David the writer of the Psalm, Psalms 23:1,
Additionally, please see 1Samuel 17:13-15, 1Samuel 17:17-58, 1Samuel 17:28-29, Matthew 10:36,
Thank you for sharing... God bless
I'm on a mission, but a little bit insecure. As long as I know and trust that God put me here for a reason, I'll get it right..
And yes, King David is a good example of a man after God's heart, with the many mistakes he has made, and still went back to God for correction, guidance and forgiveness. I think, the generations I've seen before me and my own, tend to get too caught up in our wrongdoings and condemn ourselves to what seems like no return, back home, to Christ...
Jesus' first coming gave hope, and his second coming will bring a joy that will last forever for those who are following him. We live in the messy middle between these two points. We look back and praise God that Christ has come. And we look forward and trust God that Christ will come again. By balancing our lives between these two comings, we find perspective for this momentary existence we find ourselves in, and we find ourselves moved to pray, "Come, Lord Jesus!" and feel glorious anticipation with each beat of our hearts that gets us closer to the day that "we shall see [him] face to face" ( 1 Corinthians 13:12).

Knowing what God approves of and what He judges, will put us out in front of the murky areas of real life.
Every time we read the Book of Revelation, God blessed us! Revelation 1:3
Proverbs is a good starting place if you don't speed read through them. Read also Ecclesiastes; written by Solomon. Who became polluted by the 900 women in his household.
My personal favorite story is about Gideon. He went from terrified; to being a great leader with Gods help.
Psalms helps us to see through the lense of King David's life. He had ups and downs. It always drove him to God. We see ourselves in those stories often. Our own experiences are similar; so it's a good place to find comfort.
The wisdom of reading the Gospels is to meet Jesus, the Son of Man. Study his reactions, his comments, how he taught groups and also one-on-one when needed.
He is real. He was in the tomb 3 days, but he came out of it alive and Victorious. He knows exactly what every human being has done or not done.
You don't have to read dozens of helps books. If you read the Bible like a detective looking for clues, you'll find Jesus in every place you go. When you go outside to enjoy some sun-notice all the birds praising the Lord (for bugs) and then the trees giving God wave offerings (because of rain).
I don't look at what the WORLD is doing. We know what they're doing. The Natural Man is busy sinning and trying to sell that to others any way they can. Those of us that are alive Spiritually (born again) have chosen to follow Jesus. I examine everything He says in the Bible. I don't think we should lay down and let the Devil monkey stomp us. Ephesians 6, says to fight back. Jesus is our example always.
Prayer is not complicated. Speak to Jesus just as if He's in the room with you. God hates mixtures. Live spiritually and avoid falling into ditches.

John 3:15-21, Matthew 25:31-46,
And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
Isaiah 32:17
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Acts 17:31
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Colossians 2:2
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
1 Thessalonians 1:5
For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
Hebrews 6:11
And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
Hebrews 10:22
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
By consenting to become a born again Christian ( John 3)
To let go and receive the salvation of Jesus Christ;
To be filled with the Spirit of Jesus, the Holy Spirit.
An exchange is made in Heaven as your name is recorded in the BOOK OF LIFE. Jesus takes your sins (past, present, future) upon Himself. He becomes your Lord; but it takes some Bible reading to discover that.
You have assurance that FAITHFUL IS HE THAT PROMISED. All your sin is washed away with his blood. Isaiah 1:18. (Past, Present, Future)
If we have failures (we all do) then mark in your Bible,
1 John 1:8-10. Pray and confess. Jesus throws it as far as East is to west (infinity).
This is why we sing Blessed Assurance at Church. :)
