the curse of the law is that whoever does not keep ALL of the law perfectly will die. You can read more about this curse in Leviticus and Deuteronomy. You can search "blessings and curses of the Law of Moses" to find Scripture references.
There was a long thread in the last week concerning this. You may search back a few pages and find the thread.
Also, I suggest reading all of Galatians and all of Romans in order to understand Paul's teaching fully. To take just one portion or verse as a proof text does not serve this topic well.
the tribal name is Nakoda.
Also, Nakoda has something to do with Jainism or Hinduism or Buddhism, but I could not get much info on this.
I am glad you posted on this. I, myself, am pretty thick-skinned as well. But, in this instance, felt moved to speak to Cecil's post. It is good to be reminded that this forum, at its best, is one where people speak their minds without demeaning another person.
So, I take my own advice to heart in this, too.
The Catholic Church system has changed Gods Law by excluding Gods 2nd Commandment, changing the 4th Commandment (Worshipping on Sunday) and cutting the 10th Commandment into two.
Here are Gods 10 Commandments from my KJV.
Exodus
And God spake all these words, saying,
1 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
3 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
4 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
6 Thou shalt not kill.
7 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8 Thou shalt not steal.
9 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
10 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
As a Christ follower why would you NOT want to try keep holy and follow these commandments?
To disregard, you are telling Jesus that you don't love Him. John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
Verse 8 with the response to the hordes of Sodomite ready to rape the angels and Lot himself is just disgusting. His "consolation prize" of the two daughters; already at least espoused if not married to other men to save his integrity was perhaps known to be a ruse to all parties concerned; he must have known they weren't interested in natural relations with women. Nonetheless; it demonstrates weak character.
Things don't get any better afterwards either. Lot diddle dalleys around and finally he and his family are taken by the hand and pretty much dragged out of town. Then comes the pathetic request to go to Zoar; despite the clear command to go to the mountains which amazingly the Lord allows the angels to permit. Finally comes Lot's wife turning back just when she almost escaped and dying. After all that it appears Lot was shocked enough to leave for the mountains after all afraid that God may destroy that city as well I would suspect. Finally; the daughters losing hope of having children by any man (thinking perhaps all men were dead in that part of the world) got their father drunk one by one and indeed got pregnant. Apparently, the wine was an important commodity and it would appear Lot was in the habit of drinking too much as a result; no doubt of living in a place like Sodom. Let us be thankful here for the grace of God; for those who seem too far gone in sin can be VERY backslidden believers; sometimes only God knows but eventually He chastises all those He loves.
In some ways; it is ironic that in a whole city of men almost all of them were disposed to unnatural relations with men; and the two son in laws of Lot's daughters thought the warnings were a joke that the angels gave them. This caused the daughters to sleep with their father thinking there was no one around to provide children after being surrounded by men previously. They went from great wealth to escaping by the skin of their teeth; whereas Abraham spent time in a desert yet God's promise never failed. Lot's wife as I mentioned in another commentary turned into a "pillar of salt" loving the wealth of this world more than God. She ignored the warning not to look back; and we must heed that call today as well.
In answer to your question about keeping all the laws of Moses ? and sacrifice a lamb every morning and every evening ?
My understanding is the 10 commandments are Gods Law/ Moral Law and is unchangeable, binding all of every age and over rules Man's Law.
Law of Moses is Ceremonial Law/ Sacrificial system. it's rites pointed to our promised Saviour, Jesus Christ. After sacrificing his life for us, Ceremonial/ Sacrificial system became null and void. It is the purpose of the enemy to lead people to confuse Gods Law/ Moral Law with the Ceremonial Law.

Blessed be in Christ
What is the curse of the law?
Comment please
Also, in my reading I find constant reference to the Law of Moses a law that is 4000 or 5000 years old and Jewish?

While Abraham was not required to go through with the test to prove that God was this faithful to the promises Abraham received, God's only Son had to complete the test at the hands of His Father to grant Abraham the fullness of the promise and blessing given to him. Christ's resurrection is the proof that both the Father and the Son completed the test fully in order to uphold His promise to Abraham forever and God indeed provided the Lamb Abraham told Issac about by faith. The fulfillment of this test and obedience by Christ did not come to us by our keeping the law, not even the Ten Commandments. It comes to us who bless and share Abraham's faith.
Your posts do not make much sense. Could you elaborate and explain your thoughts more so that those of us who sincerely wish to understand and respond can do so?
Thanks for the reply,
I have to totally disagree on the Gentiles are now the Israelites by the grafting process.
I will elaborate further when I get home. Perhaps tomorrow.
God bless.
I understand what you are saying here about angels. They exist and God send them to help and protect us. They really are all around us who believe. But, I do not remember anywhere in the Scripture where it instructs believers to seek to see angels or even make contact with them. It is God who chooses whether we see them or encounter them as Abraham or others did. These giants of the faith did not seek to have an encounter with angels. God have angels visit them as He willed.
Like many things that involve the spiritual world, we should be cautious of encouraging anyone to seek an encounter with any beings except for God Himself.
Ezekiel 38:3-4 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
Daniel 8:7 pops up, and God says "I will bring thee forth, and all thine army...." No more holding them back. This is happening right now, before us.
Putin at Yearly address March 1, 2018: "They have not succeeded in holding Russia back," said Putin, referring to the West, which he said had ignored Moscow in the past, but would now have to sit up and listen. "Now they need to take account of a new reality and understand that everything I have said today is not a bluff." [Hypersonic Arsenal]
'Is this the man that made the world a wilderness, destroyed cities'? Isaiah 14:16-17
You are right that God is not human like us. Nor is He an angelic being. Both humans and angels are created by God. But God is uncreated and completely Spirit. He does not have a body or "parts" like us or animals. Angels have a spiritual body, but God does not have a spiritual body like the angels do. He is only Spirit and does not have a form or occupy a specific amount of space in heaven or earth. But people take up physical space on earth and angels have a form, so they take up space in the spiritual realm.
But, as the Bible reveals, God the son took on humanity and became a man-Jesus Christ, who was fully God and fully man in one Person in one body. He lived, died, rose again, and ascended to heaven bodily. His physical body was uncorrupted and upon His resurrection, His body was transformed into the type of body we will all have when we are resurrected. This body is physical as ours will be, but incorruptible. Jesus will always be fully God and fully man in one person in one body forever. When He comes back, He will come back bodily. In eternal live, we will see God in Jesus forever. So, God, who is eternal Spirit, added to Himself a human body to the Person of God the Son in order to save us. It is such a mystery. But in heaven, we will understand more fully and will be completely awed by the Person we see as God-Jesus Christ. The Father and the Holy Spirit do not have a body or form, (and Jesus did not either before He became man), but we will experience each person of the Godhead (Trinity)
in Jesus, as Jesus said that He and the Father are One.
See John 14:7, 9-11 John 17:6-19
The Bible clearly teaches that angels exist. They are a spiritual creation made by God. Gabriel visited Zachariah and Mary to announce the conceptions of John the Baptist and Jesus. Jacob saw a ladder connecting heaven and earth and saw angels ascending and descending upon it. Abraham was visited by angels repeatedly. Angels were seen at the gravesite of Jesus on the day of His Resurrection. Angels were seen in the heavens by the shepherds at Jesus's birth. Angels were seen at Jesus' ascension into heaven. And if you read the book of Revelation, it is full of angels, including Michael. I agree that the angels were created before humans but they are not all Jewish, as you stated, because Jews are part of the human race, and are angelic in any way. Angels do not have a religion.
But Scott, I think you have stated a grave error in saying there was one god-El Elyon prior to Moses and another Yahweh in the time of Moses and beyond. There is only One God. That is clearly stated in Scripture. Scripture gives Him many different names over the course of history. You named a few.
