Richard, you are ignoring the rest of Revelation, my friend.

Rev. 19 already has the Beast and False Prophet being destroyed, along with ALL the remaining sinners.

    Rev. 19:20-21

You can't just pretend that's not there. That, along with many other verses in Revelation 100% contradict the Millennium false doctrine of Rev. 20:1-7.

It is what it is, brother.

And the Bible tells us so.

The 'binding' of Satan is not a restriction from 'all' activity upon the earth, only a restriction from 'deceiving the nations' into war with God. ( Rev. 20:8) He hasn't done that yet, and cannot at this time because he is 'bound' from doing that. Though he will be released to do just that at a very specific time. Let's look at that time.

"Let no man deceive you by any means: ...that day (of the antichrist) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition (son of hell); Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. ... And now ye know what withholdeth (the Holy Spirit) that he (antichrist) might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity (hidden truth of lawlessness/sin) doth already work (is not bound but active in the world): only He who now letteth (the Holy Spirit) will let, until He be taken out of the way (until there are no more true believers, filled with the Spirit, alive and free to do God's Work upon the earth). And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming. 2 Thess. 2:3-8

Satan will be released to do all his will when he fully embodies the man of sin, the antichrist and deceives the entire world to join together in spiritual battle against the Lord God Almighty.

"And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, ... to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea."

    Rev. 20:8

Would God have His people endure this life only to have them wait another 1,000 years, among sinners, and a still-fallen world, to then be tested AGAIN by the devil before finally punishing all the wicked, creating the world anew and welcoming His saints into Heaven?

No, He is not the author of confusion. 1 Cor. 14:33

There is a lot of good wisdom in Proverbs about good and bad behavior. One says "that a merry heart does good like a medicine."

Some struggle with, "being lifted in the spirit of our minds".

I think we should be sensitive to others frame of mind or mood. Sometimes we are to cry with those who've suffered great loss.

You sound like someone with great strength, to me.

Many people try to claim that events in scripture coincide with certain Trumpet Events, and therefore MUST be held to a certain order of events listed in Revelation. The book of Revelation makes very clear that it is all vision, symbols and spiritual events. As I've shown, Rev. 20:1-7 is contradicted by many prior events in the book of Revelation and thus cannot be taken as literal or LINEAR. Too many events in Revelation contradict 20:1-7 before it even begins.

God makes very clear to us in His Word using 'signature events' to create undeniable proof of the things that line-up in scripture to create a rock-solid foundation for specific doctrine. The 'Day of the Lord, Wrath of God, return of Jesus' is one of those events - the same event. And I have supplied the passages that reveal this very clearly.

    Matthew 24:29-31

    and

    Isaiah 13:9-11

    Signature events:

"...the stars of heaven and the constellations ... shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened ... the moon shall not cause her light to shine."

    Isaiah 13:10

"Immediately after the Tribulation ... shall the sun be darkened,... the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:..."

    Matt. 24:29

Same day, same event. The Day of the Lord (Jesus')/Wrath of God destruction of the earth and all sinners and the return of Jesus Christ.

    The Wrath of God:

"Behold the Day of the Lord (Jesus) cometh, cruel both with WRATH and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and He shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it."

    Isaiah 13:9

"And I will PUNISH THE WORLD for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible."

    Isaiah 13:11

These events happen on the same exact day, the 'very last day' of the earth. How do we know? Jesus Himself tells us plainly many times in the book of John.

    John 6:39, 40, 44, 54; 11:24; 12:48

    The Millennium is False Doctrine.

    Good Morning, S.Spencer,

    I agree with you here.

However, I have read on this site words from those that essentially say that if we try to keep the commandments we are putting ourselves under law and not grace, therefore we need to keep all of them perfectly or else we are guilty of all of them. Also, I have read posts that say essentially that obeying the commandments is operating in the flesh and that we are to operate in the Spirit instead. But Paul clearly says that those who operate in the Spirit obey the Spriit of God, which would be obeying the 10 commandments along with other acts that are good. To operate in the flesh is to give into sinful desires and disobey God's will which includes the 10 commandments and other matters of loving God and others.

So, what Bro Dan and I are saying is that it is spiritually dangerous to give half truths about law and grace to those we do not know as some may be new Christians, weak Christians, or carnal believers caught up in sinful situations by their choice.

Just wanted to clarify. Thanks for your thoughts today.
  • GiGi - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Good Morning, Bro Dan

I agree completely! It is true that, by God's mercy, we have been given grace that brings us salvation through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. This grace releases us from attempting to gain salvation on our own merits though striving to keep all of the law

Being under grace, we have forgiveness of sin, justification before God according to the perfect keeping of the law by Jesus, which gives us His righteousness instead of our faulty, fallen attempts to be righteous by keeping the law, which we cannot succeed at doing by our free will. Grace brings regeneration of our deadness to God and we truly become a new creation in Christ, with a newly regenerated spirit that desires to do God's will. This reborn spirit within us is now the dwelling place of God's Spirit which is our Helper and Power to live God's way.

This grace does not abolish the law. Both Jesus and Paul have said so. See Matt. 5:17-20, Grace just means that we do cannot expect that keeping the Law will save us, because of the weakness of our fallen flesh, even if we keep all of the law, it does not save us. But because of grace, we now have power to obey the commandments of Jesus - love God and - love others - which include all of the commandments of the law and then some. Jesus said, If you love me you will keep My commandments. So, as you said, as believers we should want to obey the 10 commandments.

My thoughts also my heart, "Why would I want to do what the 10 commandments forbid?" These sins should be hated by me and I should love what is good and right as determined by God.

I agree that those who simply state that we do not need to obey the law because we are under grace without further explanation are simply encouraging weak and new believers to freely since they now say "I am free to do this because I am under grace, not the law." This thinking and these actions are not a correct interpretation of what being under grace means.

    See Romans 6:1-15; 3:19-22; 4:5-6; 23-25

    Bro Alex,

Christ died so that we can be forgiven of our sins - period! That is, if we sincerely ask for this forgiveness. If we don't ask - we don't get forgiven. If we keep sinning we must keep asking for His forgiveness. It's ongoing. Remember, God knows our heart. If we are not sincere - he will know it. If we keep sinning, at some point, we have to ask ourselves are we really saved?

    Galatians 6:7

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

If we continue to sin we can surely die.

    Hebrews 10:26

"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"

If we are truly walking with Christ, we will be following all of His Commandments!

    Read and believe!

    Hi Brother Spencer,

Always nice to hear from you.

You stated: Christ didn't come to keep being crucified every time we break one because we can't keep them perfectly.

I agree, Christ died once for us. Because of this, we now have the ability to receive forgiveness for sins from God thru the sacrifice of his Son Jesus. Herein lies the problem; Many people today mistakenly think that WE have no other responsibility for our salvation! They say Jesus did it all - and now we can live our worldly lives and still receive salvation. But all of the scripture tells us otherwise. Even Paul states that we must strive to work out our salvation. Philippians 2:12 "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

Jesus tells us throughout the bible we must try to keep his commandments, and strive to be sin free. Jesus heals the invalid and then tells him - to sin no more! John 5:14 "Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee."

In summary, we must follow Jesus/God's commands (10 Commandments) and work out our own salvation - if we expect to receive his favorable judgement.

    God Bless.

Bro. Dan Gbu but you are sadly mistaken.....If righteousness came by the law Christ DIED IN VAIN and the Cross was just foolishness...We must be bornagain of an incoruptible seed even by the Words of God..which is that New Covenant....Its them that are born of God that cannot sin...which is the H.G. the Child of Promise....he it is that cannot sin...Thus the LAW is fulfilled by our new innerman which is that NEW HEART AND NEW SPIRIT ( THE H.G....We must birth a new innerman which is the H.G. he it is that cannot sin....Which is the manchild our fruit unto God the H.G....Thats y he told Nic. a Jew he had to be bornagain...When Jesus said behold I send the Promise of my Father upon you that was baptism of the H.G....That was the new covenant in his blood, What he did at Calvary....God made a new covenant at Calvary and it was by Jesus blood...Thus there is only 1 valid Baptism which is H.G. BAPTISM....We must birth a new innerman which is the H.G. THE MANCHILD that is gonna rule all nations...no exceptions...This is who Jesus was speaking of when he said we must keep the law, If we wanna keep the law it can only be done by that new new innerman which is the H.G. IN US VIA THAT GOOD SEED THE CONTENTS OF THE book in the fathers right hand...Note the Woman keeps the commandments simply b/c she has given birth to a new innerman which is the H.G. the Manchild that is gonna rule all nations...The woman is the result of the sower and his precious seed that new covenant in his blood....Her Child is he that is born of God and cannot sin....Thus she keeps the commandments....Her Child is God's Granson simply b/c Jesus is his father...It was Jesus that sowed his seed in this woman...when he breathe on them as his breath was his words which are his seeds ...Her Child is the beginning of an Israel of God...Remember that great great Promise

Jesus is gonna be multiplied as the Stars of heaven...Thus an israel of God is in the great Promise of multiplication of his seed.

    Hi Brother Dan

    You stated.

"As a Christ follower why would you NOT want to ( try )keep holy and follow these commandments?"

I haven't seen anything written on the site that stated we shouldn't (try).

By the Spirit of God ww know the commandment is Holy.

By the same Spirit we know we fall short.

By the same Spirit we know "by the commandments" we need a savior.

Christ didn't come to keep being crucified every time we break one because we can't keep them perfectly.

We have agreed with scripture throughout the bible that we're justified apart from the deeds of the Law.

    Romans 3:26-28.

Salvation is an inward act performed by the Holyspirit that is confirmed by an outwardly act.

We do our best to keep the commandments and that also is an inwardly act by the Holyspirit. The flesh is weak.

You can keep them all the days of your life and have a sinful Heart and you still come up short.

You can't Love your neighbor as required without a NEW heart. And the sabbath day rest is found in Christ.

    God bless.

So much lately, I'm hearing this false doctrine where there are those telling themselves and others, that they can ignore God's Commandments.

    Matthew 19:17

"And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."

Jesus tells us here point blank: if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments! Jesus and his apostles tell us over and over to keep the commandments and live accordingly. To believe, as a Christian you can disregard God's Commandments, you are deceiving yourself, and ignoring a multitude of bible scripture telling you otherwise.

    Here are God's Commandments

    1. I am the Lord your God. You shall not have strange gods before me. You shall not make to thyself any graven thing; nor the likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth. You shall not adore them nor serve them.

    2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

    3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.

    4. Honor your father and your mother.

    5. You shall not kill.

    6. You shall not commit adultery.

    7. You shall not steal.

    8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

    9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.

    10. You shall not covet your neighbor's goods.

As a Christ follower why would you NOT want to try keep holy and follow these commandments?

To disregard, you are telling Jesus that you don't love Him. John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

    Hi Kim.

It's not so big a deal to go to church on Sunday as it is to neglect to worship on the Sabbath Saturday, as God Commanded those who love Him in the 4th Commandment.

And the 10 Commandments are not at all difficult to keep, as many Christians have been brainwashed to believe.

The biggest issue they have is with the 4th Commandment - The Sabbath. Which is also very easy to keep once you make up your mind to follow God and His Ways. Jesus kept all the Commandments. John 15:10 We are to walk (live) as Jesus walked (lived.) 1 John 2:6. Even Paul is recorded in scripture as keeping all the 10 Commandments. Acts 21:24 All of Jesus' disciples kept the Sabbath Commandment immediately after His crucifixion - which speaks volumes. Luke 23:54-56

    The 10 Commandments

    1. Only worship God

    2. Don't worship demons (idols)

    3. Don't take God's Name in vain

    4. Observe the 7th Day Sabbath

    5. Honor parents

    6. Don't murder

    7. No adultery

    8. Don't steal

    9. Don't lie

    10. Don't covet

Where exactly is the difficulty in keeping those? The first 4 teach us exactly how to love God. The last 6 teach us how to love mankind.

The Sabbath, as well as the 10 Commandments, were given to everybody.

Read the dramatic account in Exodus of God speaking the 10 Commandments ALOUD to the world in the presence of the Israelites and you will be convinced of their significance to all who worship God Almighty. His voice was so booming and terrifying that the people begged Moses to ask God not to speak aloud anymore. God SPOKE our world into existence; God SPOKE the Commandments into existence. Exodus chapter 19 through 20.

"My covenant will I NOT BREAK, nor ALTER the thing that has come out of My lips."

    Psalm 89:34

This chapter seems to fit the current world events far more than in the past.

I think the key to unlocking the prophecies regarding satan let loose, Gog and Magog, the Northern army, the day of the Lord, is to understand who the House of Israel is in the latter days. Hint: all Jews are Israelites, but not all Israelites are Jews. Many Israelites are regathered under one Shepherd and fulfill the unconditional Abrahamic covenant
  • Bro dan - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Hi Kim,

You can go to church anytime. The Sabbath Day has always been the last day of the week - Saturday.

God gave us the Sabbath Day to rest our bodies and minds. We should also use the day to give thanks to our creator, and help others as Jesus showed us how to observe this day. God did not just give his Sabbath Day commandment to Israel - it was made for man - please see scripture below:

    Mark 2:27

"And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:"

Jesus said that the sabbath was made for man! All mankind!

God gave us the 10 commandments including the 4th to help us live our lives in a law abiding manner. His commandments are good and just!

Those that say we can ignore God's Commandments are ignoring much bible scripture, including all the commands from Jesus/God.

    ToToo G,

Jesus says that all of the law (Ten Commandments) hang on those two commandments that you are refrencing.

    Matthew 22:40

"On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

Jesus/God wants you to try keep all of his commandments.

    John 14:15

"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

Jesus tells us if we want to enter into heaven we will keep his commandments.

    Revelation 22:14

"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."

The world has not changed, but only for the worse, even as in the times of Christ. The gov'ts that are, are no different then the times of Christ's life in this world. The roman and Jewish nation continue to crucify Him. Masking themselves , while bringing the people into subjection. The church doing it's work, subscribing unto anything that comes down the pipe! If not for the word those who know the truth could not speak or be heard. If not for the word the salvation of man could never be known. Yet, while these who deny Him, will see only glimpses unable to understand the power in the word. The cutting edge as it were, dividing the soul, with only the sharpest blade made! The mercy's of God even unto those who deny Him. While we hear the words of Christ "forgive them Father, they know not what they do!" The door will close, then it will be to late, never again to open! His eye's forever on those that love Him! Remember what He said, It would better that a milestone were tied around the neck and they were cast into the deepest part of the ocean! Those who wish to see His beloved hurt or harmed! The power of the holy spirit it uncovers the vail that has been tied upon the eyes of His creation, by the shepherds who climb up another way! Repent and be Baptized!

Misconceptions about Satan being "bound". Scriptures tend to multilayer prophecy. I mentioned in the commentary on the Millennium that Satan is not yet bound; precisely that refers to the power to hold his body and spirit under the earth (chains) after the angel carries out the action (likely Michael the Archangel). There are several phases to the downfall of Lucifer. The first would have taken him from the worship leader who walked on the "stones of fire" because of pride ( Isaiah 14; Ezekiel 28). This would restrict him positionally; and perhaps deny access to the throne area or wherever such worship occurs. Job indicates along with other passages that in meetings with God (divine counsel) he is still present and God uses Him by restricting him to fit the purposes He has to refine His people; and in Job's case prove their character. Jesus states that He saw him "fall as lightning".

This could be the initial fall; or his physical casting out which appears yet future in Revelation. In the "second heavens" the powers and principalities still are present according to Ephesians 6. It is CLEAR from Daniel as well as Revelation that the FINAL version of the prophecy on defiling the temple INITIATED by Antiochus is yet to be completed with subtle differences as WELL as Christ referring to it in warnings of the future.

Satan will know that his time is short after the "accuser of the brethren" is cast down to the earth; and all his angels follow. This time clearly being worse than ANY time previous OR future will be when certain demons will come out of the pit because God allows them to torment men. Satan will be allowed to "overcome the saints" whereas now "the gates of hell will not prevail" against the church. The very real mark of the beast will be taken by ALL not written in the Book of Life. After Armageddon (literal event) Satan is imprisoned for 1000 years then MUST be released then judged and cast into the lake of fire.
  • Richard H Priday - 3 years ago
    The Millennium: Outline

First evidence: Revelation. Satan bound and Antichrist/False Prophet FIRST to be thrown into hell BODILY. Rest of people KILLED at Armageddon awaiting final judgment. Heavenly City SUSPENDED in Rev. 20; lands on earth in Rev. 21 when final

(White throne) judgment unites NEW bodies with souls of lost; these would include those who died in that time period so wording states IF their name isn't written in the Book of Life. After Armageddon; Satan goes to the lake of fire where the BEAST and FALSE PROPHET ARE. Clearly they have already been in punishment 1000 years at this point. To indicate that Satan is already bound is the most dangerous view of Postmillennialism because all the verses about his warring against us would be a past issue thus Ephesians 6; James (in reference to a roaring lion); gospel verses where he is said to "steal; kill and destroy" are considered irrelevant (some say we are in the 1000 years and the final rebellion brings some freedoms for the enemy at that time (i.e. Armageddon is really the Gog and Magog final conflict in Revelation).

Isaiah: Verses mention a man who lives as the life of a tree; and a man who dies at 100 considered a child. It would seem that with Adam and several others living in their 900's; the 1000 year reign allows those who do not rebel to physically make it into the new heavens and earth (stand before God protected). Other verses correlate with the millennium such as kings of the earth remaining but being "punished after many days" (after the Millenium). Man is said to "learn the art of war no more".

Other verses: Indications that men who do not come up to worship God (Egypt as example) will have NO RAIN. Clearly, such rebellion wouldn't occur after that period when the regenerate will sin NO MORE. There are other verses in Psalms that indicate the highway where FOOLISH men won't walk; and Psalm 48 which discusses kings of the earth FEARING God's dwellingplace in Zion.

Romans 8 : 2 The Law of spirit and life in Christ Jesus has made Me free from the LAW OF SIN AND DEATH....Paul
  • Chris - In Reply - 3 years ago
Thanks for that very pertinent response brother S. Spencer. Sabbath in the beginning was essentially a rest day - for Israel - had nothing to do with worship, though it would have been a good occasion for personal reflection. And yet that Law & all Laws were given to not only show God's Righteous Standards, but Israel's inability to fully obey & reach that standard. Hence, the Law could only point everyone to the One Who could keep it perfectly & this was what Israel should have been earnestly seeking. Had they turned to the Law-Giver rather than rejecting Him, they would have understood that the Law, though holy & good, "was weak through the flesh" (it was powerless because our flesh could never meet & fulfil its high demands).

Israel & all mankind were doomed for their failures & sins, but for 'God sending His Own Son in our flesh, AND for sin, condemned sin in the flesh' ( Romans 8:3). "Sin is the transgression of the Law" but Jesus brought judgement to that sin (not to the Law) by meeting its every demand upon Him. So the Law & the sin that is its product, is now rendered useless/uncondemning to those who take hold of Jesus by faith - deriving their righteousness, that is without the Law, through the One Who gives us the victory over sin's judgement & sin's power, that is to say, the Law.

While we live "in Christ Jesus" and "walk after the Spirit" fulfilling the righteousness of the Law ( Romans 8:1,4) based on faith in the One Who abrogated the letter which only kills, how then can we turn to (or, even appeal to) the "weak & beggarly elements" that only have bondage & sin as their end ( Galatians 4:9)? Just a few thoughts here that your comment inspired in me to share.

Hello, not everyone believes that interpretation. The Bible is clear that the dead will be caught up in the air. It says they will be sleeping before that. There's more Biblical support for that than the alternative. Paul's actual quote of 'rather' being with the Lord is taken out of context so often its like the telephone game. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
  • Chris - In Reply on 2 Chronicles 21 - 3 years ago
Thanks Peter. Just to confirm the family line (Judah): King Jehoshaphat's son was Jehoram ( 2 Chronicles 21:1) & Jehoram's son was Jehoahaz (or, Ahaziah): 2 Chronicles 21:17. All Jehoahaz's siblings were killed by the Philistines, etc. & he was the only one left; therefore, heir to the throne. So, if Jehoahaz "followed in the footsteps of his own father", he wouldn't have done well at all, since Jehoram was evil as well taking on the evil ways of the kings of Israel ( 2 Chronicles 21:6,11,13).

And yes, a good person, or king in this instance, can start off well, but if he begins to forget the Lord, not taking in the Word, not listening to God's warnings through the prophets, then he opens himself up to all manner of wickedness, not only giving in to the lusts of the people, but also propagating the apparatus to serve other gods & to overfill their lusts. The kings of Israel had a bad record in this regard; all of them evil (all 18 of them, though Jehu appeared 'good' in part) till their captivity to Assyria. And of the 19 kings of Judah, 8 appeared to serve the Lord with a heart & will towards God, yet the Babylonian captivity awaited them too.

And we see the same today as believers, when our eyes turn from the Lord & His Word, our hearts begin to wander & the appeal of the flesh begin to take hold. So the apostles had to continually warn & teach the Church to the end that they would set their hearts right again & not suffer under the discipline of God. Both Israel & Judah had every opportunity & warning, as does the Church now, but they tested the Lord's patience to the point of suffering & banishment. This again reminds us that it's not worth the pain & loss - the world ought to have no appeal to our hearts, just as Israel & Judah should have been so circumspect given all that the Lord had done for them & all this before their very eyes. The OT has some great lessons for us today. Blessings brother & the Lord's enrichment in every way to your life.
